turning

someone into a monster is my way of showing appreciation so don't put your interpretation on my creation so for today's episode let's go. turn enchanting into a creature of darkness oh my god yes I was already pretty decided that I wanted to turn enchanting into a monster, however in my community tab I asked Uganes to vote and tell me who he wanted to see next and although Lovely won this poll, the second person on this list is corp's husband, who really blew up last year as a popular singer-songwriter and gaming channel.

I love Corpse and everything he represents, especially since he's a spoon buddy, so I guess. The next youtuber in sculpture will definitely be the husband of a corporation, let me know in the comments section below how low you think he could be as a creature and also technically he would be the first male creator and so far I have been celebrating female creators. Okay, that being said for those of you who don't know, Dollightful, where have you been? She's one of my really good friends here on YouTube and we've done a couple of collaborations and I absolutely love her, she's a really genuine one. down to earth person who does some absolutely wonderful doll customizations and like me she has a very strong attraction to creating dragon type creatures, a dragon loving kid at heart like me she has a whole series on her elemental type dragon channel but she's also a big Pokémon fan and our collaboration by the way was Pokémon themed where she sent me my sweet son there he's in my background but Uganes can see some really great photos of it that she took before sending it, so it would be a huge shame not to.

I've included dragon and pokemon as a type of hybrid in the sculpt in the past. I've made a t-rex for just nailogical, a dessert snake for mariah elizabeth and a bat dragon for sophia nygaard so I'm really excited to see a combination of a pokemon and a dragon and potentially maybe some cat features because the Lovely's name is cat and she loves cats and has cats so we can't let it slip what this is all about it will be interesting and by the way for those of You are new to this channel don't forget to subscribe because I will be shaking pointy things without matter if you subscribe or not, but I mean you can end up enjoying this anyway, click on all the notifications while you're there so far creating

in sculptures.

I went ahead and created the sculptures from scratch entirely out of polymer clay, but when it comes to lovely things, she customizes dolls and figures to have their own base, so I think it would be fair for me to start with a base and work from there to honor her style and what else would be cool then not a doll, no I'm not going to start with a doll base because I still need to keep it. Let's start with my little girl. pony base and actually turn it into a creature of darkness, so some limbs will be removed, so our base will be Twilight Sparkle.
changes colors turning youtubers into monsters dollightful
The only reason I chose Twilight Sparkle is simply because her pose is a little more dynamic and I have ideas for That's what I mean, look at my sketch. This is actually how I make my sketches for sculptures, so don't judge me. From the fact that she has one leg up, I have an idea of what to put underneath, but now I see. closer up, it's actually a lot smaller than she expected so I may have to make modifications to what I had in my head and the head is nowhere near what I want. I'm not very happy with my mouth open, so that's going to go away completely. we're just going to rip your head off, so we're just going to rip it off right away.
Even if I need to soak you in hot water, that's what oh, I did, yeah, that was kinky, never, ever. count, I'm going to save the head, don't listen to me, I'll just put it on the other side. Oh okay this little peg is actually going to help us quite a bit because I wasn't sure how my piece was actually going to hold up and now epoxy sculpting for those of you who don't know epoxy sculpting it's basically a part , one part, b, you mix it all together and you get a kind of sticky clay type material and it takes about six hours.
To get it to fully harden, this is a really tricky medium to work with simply because it feels like sculpting with dry rubber, so to get the details right you need to get it right the first time, otherwise you can mess it up pretty easily. , that's all. I must say now that the queue is gone. I noticed something and it's bothering me a little. I don't know if your pimples can see this, but there is a stray hair inside the neck compartment and it's actually very stubborn, like I pulled it out. I got it, yes I did.
I am legitimately and genuinely concerned about sculpting the head with a poxy sculpt simply because once it hardens it really is like a rock that you can add to it but it will only bulk it up and make it look. I guess it's not natural, whereas when it comes to polymer clay I have the option of working on it until the moment I bake it, so I take a risk by making a mixed medium. I'm going to do both heads. in polymer clay because again I also want to add glass eyes so I need to take my time but the rest of the body will be an epoxy sculpture.
Sorry, one of the biggest challenges for this sculpture is that I will try to color it. changing, i've never done that before so bear with me, you're probably wondering where some of these ideas for the apoxie sculpt come from and it's jolteon, if we take a look at jolteon we'll see that there are quite a few. spiky fur that looks really cool and we don't need any kind of tail so I'm imitating it the best I can and I think I want to keep the wings even though it seems a little out of place I still want to keep it just because you know the dragon and the mystical creature, but trust me on this.
I think the overall design will end up looking pretty good. Actually, no, we're going to delete this because I think I might need to move this leg. Above, the reason I'm making jolteon is because it's one of his favorite Pokémon. I mean, let's hear her say it herself in her eeveelutions video. One of my favorite Pokémon. Jolteon, it's also the other reason why I'm adding a few likes. like elongated parts on the legs is because I'm thinking more specifically of a Kirin type dragon and if you look on Google Images you'll see that a lot of those Kirin type creatures have these bits sticking out of their legs and heck.
Yeah I decided to add some pointy things with wings, I thought they were a little flat so I added that extra layer to make it a little more dragon-like, although we do have feathered wings, but don't question it too much, it's a fantasy creature and similarly. For Lovely customizations, let's take a look. She often loves to add spikes to the wings or just spikes in general so you know I'm going to be adding quite a few of these and similarly to the wings I felt like the legs were very one dimensional. so I went ahead and added some hooves at first they looked like shoes.
I thought I didn't like this, but the more I put on the different feet it looked a lot better so far it took me three hours to sculpt this, which means another one. three hours it should have hardened enough so we can start doing the head I don't want to touch it I don't want to touch it the next tail stay good so here we are the next day and there are a couple of things that bother me, first of all I feel like keeping these wings would be nothing short of lazy so I'm going to try to remove them with this saw that funnily enough Doll Planet sent me the same company that delicious uses so I think they know we're similar they gave me a gun okay I need stop that or by this sanding mechanism, I'm not sure which will work so we'll have to try them and see. so I have no idea how this is going to work I really don't know what I'm doing let's see if this really cuts no no no no no no no did you beans do that?
Okay, so just moving this around ended up doing this part. here it was coming off so we don't need it, maybe what I need is my demolition kit, which has a variety of cutting tools, I don't even know which one, let's try this one that looks sharp, okay, so I'm extremely nervous, all I want. It's making a curve here and then a curve there. I don't even know if this is going to cut enough or if it's strong enough. It worked, so I went ahead and cut as close as possible so the wings showed. a bit more like a dragon wing, I didn't want to be lazy making the wings, so even though this is a custom with a base that's already made, it was just bugging me all night since we're working with sanding plastic.
Make sure you have adequate protection. I know technically you have to use the bigger mask, but hey, this will be quite useful when you have a normal bigger one, but let's see if this device actually works for plastic technically made for the nail probably shouldn't be okay, let's try it, it's okay let's see if we can smooth out some of these edges like this oh yeah okay so I'm happy this is really good the hard part will be getting the center let's try another device for that one but for now , let's just clean up some of that plastic we're getting into.
Well, actually we've been in uncharted territory from the beginning, but we're about to enter even more uncharted territory. territory, so while this did a good job of smoothing out some of the parts, I think this should be here, where's the hole? That's what she is, you're great, that's what she said today, that's what started it, so I think this should be a harder rock. I'm not sure I have no idea what I'm doing what I want to do is match these little pieces of feathers sticking out as much as possible I don't know if I'm going to ruin the plastic, if I'm going to ruin the epoxy clay and I'll have to start over and wait another six hours at this point, anything is possible, so let's make a first impression and okay, that wobbles, I don't like you, okay? and oh, I don't even know what you are, this is garbage, this is absolute garbage, what is it, it's definitely not the right tool for what we're doing.
Honestly, you probably have a better chance of using this, so that's what I'm going to do. Yeah I think this is good now that I was using the machine, one of the parts of the wing that was made with the epoxy actually came off, to be honest I'm not mad because this gave me the opportunity to get into the corners and finer recesses. with sandpaper, so sometimes, even though something may be, something good can turn out. I know it looks very textured from this side, but I sanded off the salt and if you look from the side it doesn't have as much texture, but it'll make some nice visual interest right there, so all that's left to do is put on some super glue and then I will add the central part of the wings that the dragons have.
I don't know what they are called. Uh, help me great, what's his name? Oh, and I'm having a little trouble getting the epoxy sculpture to stay, so I'm putting in some tacky glue to help as well and as a soul, I'm very well aware that I'm doing everything backwards, but bear with me, I am learning. I'm very frustrated with myself, so the idea is that I want this leg to rest in a circle or semicircle somehow, but it's pretty low. I'm wondering if I can cut it a little to raise it more. I know I'm working backwards and I have no idea if I'm going to hurt myself.
I'll probably get hurt, right? I stand by this because I really screwed up. I really should have done this at the beginning. Now I'm just afraid of where to hold it. I tried it with the knife, as you can see, it's slippery. The knife is not serrated. Technically I would have loved to use this, but the area is too small and I put all the stuff in it anyway, so I was ruined. I used to think trash kids would break their hearts, but it seems like I can only break their hearts because I'm the only one in control of my emotions and yet I self-sabotage by not thinking about the future.
Why do I do this? I don't know, so I'm going to try again using the scissors that came in my doll demolition kit I don't know, okay, that works, okay, we're getting somewhere, okay, I'm going to cut this off or at least I hope so. I don't know what I'm doing, oh my God, this. It's so painful, I feel so bad, can we angle it? Okay, also, by the way, if any of you are curious, the inside of the legs is not hollow enough, funnily enough, I'm going to do the exact same process. We take the sticky glue and the epoxy to sculptand figure out how to make kind of a shoulder for now, all we want is to make sure it stays upright, so I'm resting it on a piece of washi tape for now, so we'll let it sit. about four hours before we continue, but in the meantime let's do the head when it's lovely and I did our collaboration a long time ago and she sent me my adorable son.
I still call him my son because I love him so much. She also sent me a pair of eyes. that she thought they had failed completely, I think it's because there is a small air bubble right here in the front and the second one also has another air bubble. As much as I would have loved to integrate the eyes into this sculpture, they are absolutely gigantic , so I don't think I'm going to use them in the sculpt itself, so as you can see here, they're not as proportional, the head would be just a little bit. weird but I will 100% be using this in the environment so make sure your beans keep an eye out because I have ideas growing in my head and it's not very cool I mean it'll look cool but it's not darkness that's what that I am.
That being said, to figure out what size I need, I definitely took chunks of clay and used them right on top and this seemed to be the right size. I also thought it would be a good idea to put a piece of aluminum foil in there so that we have room later when we attach the head to the neck. I actually changed my mind and ended up making the holes a little wider because it was in the way. I also thought the eyes they sent me might work, so I gave it a try. I had to shave them to see if it would work, but they ended up being too big and I didn't want the head to be too big.
Spoiler alert. I messed up a little so in the end I ended up making my own eyes with UV resin and paint for those of you who don't know UV resin is a liquid when it hardens it's like a glassy plastic. I used acrylic paints now, when it comes to the outside of the eyes, I used a blue, let's look at the highlights. The eyes, yes, they are beautiful in blue, so I thought I should still make it relevant to her with her eye color and now at this point I'm just increasing the volume of the face by adding eyelids and making different shapes so that our piece Don't stay flat, no. no, no, so I put the head on the body just to see what it looks like and it's a little too squiggly.
I know there's this idea of a kieran where I'm inspired by this dragon-like creature, it's just not like that. I've seen versions of Kirins with horse-like bodies but then with cat-like faces. I hate you so much right now. No, no, no, no, so I'm going to start again, but I'm not going to bore you. the process, but I'm going to ask you to choose, here's the first head I made, it has kind of a goat feel to it and I looked at quite a few pictures and a lot of them had that kind of goatee. The nose thing, here are a couple on display for inspiration and I used a toothpick so I could have a base for the horn, but I thought I'd go ahead and do the details with epoxy sculpture, however the second option is a little more still equestrian.
It has that my little pony feel to it, but at the same time it still kind of looks like a dragon and I was able to implement the eyes to make them look like they really belong. Let me know in the comments section below here they are in the body. Would you have chosen? I'm really torn between the two because one looks epically dark while the other looks nice and dark, which would be a more aesthetically lovely fit. Did you know? I'm going to bake them both and make a After making a decision I ended up choosing the equestrian style simply because that was the most voted for when I asked your opinions, although I'm a little divided I feel like I could technically go for both so now we're .
I'm going to do all that scruffy stuff that a Kirin is known for and while I'm using this tool it looks like it's probably not right for epoxy sculpting, so come on, let's squish it, it just looks like someone bit the hair instead , I'm going to use a blade and now it's about adding details to the hair, it's going to look like a super saiyan if you're not sure what a super saiyan is, here's a picture. We're going to make some really epic hair, so we've created enough layers. I don't want to add too much otherwise some things might fall off or break, so we'll let it harden overnight.
Do you know what that means? We need to pray to the drying gods, dear old drying gods, please protect my peace from cracks, fallen limbs and fallen pieces, but also stop breaking my things with the leftover pieces. I made some additional accessories and after it hardened I went ahead and removed the aluminum foil. paper, now we have nice, flowing hair and I'm going to go ahead and add some spikes and details. You know all the horns, where they should go because Lovely likes that even though we added a really epic horn, I'm very aware. that there is no way for this to stand because there is simply no balance, all the weight is towards the front of the figure, but don't worry about that because I have plans for the poses and it looks like she is looking at me from the other side side, but now we have to wait another six hours, six and a half hours later, listen to me well, I absolutely love her, she looks super epic, really loose on Kieran, like she knows it technically speaking, here are some pictures of some kirins and it do.
I have this lion tail, but we're not going to do that because I'm mailing this, so I have to think more about jolteon and integrity to make sure it stays in one piece. Now let's get to the fun part. we're going to have to try to figure out how to make color changing paint okay lovely monster let's put you here and I'm going to use these really cool colored pigments look they change from white to instantly. technically sunlight, but Canadian sunlight is look at this instant color change, how cool is it, yeah, now we're going to figure out how to turn it from dust to a sculpture and if we look at the multiple images again for reference, the color of the body is a white base, so I think we're on the right track, so just to make sure everything sticks, I'm going to put a coat of gesso on.
Technically I could put more, but I mean, we'll stick with a white base. I don't think we need any more gesso because it's very textured and I don't want it to be too textured and now we're ready for my favorite part, oh yeah, airbrush time, so we're using the white paint in order. To get all the edges and make sure it's covered as best as possible, I went ahead and did five coats. I felt like we needed a little more color, so I added a blue gradient coming from the feet. Now at this point we need to use one of the most popular materials with delicious uses, let's hear it mr super clear sealant mr super clear matte sealant yes, mr super clear the best way to describe this is to basically save your progress, I don't want the paints overlap each other in a weird way or melt into each other or activate each other, so that's where this comes in and of course I didn't want things to be, you know, just plain white because the color will show up later. .
I took my gold paint and did the horn because I wanted it to be epic and I also did the helmets because I don't want them to be black and you'll understand why once we did the environment and the rest of the sculpt it ended up being a blue type theme, I really thought about adding a little more purple and different

colors

, maybe even black, but it just didn't work for the deep purple color change I really wanted. After removing the tape from the eyes, there is always a little cleaning to do and touch ups. Touch ups are done all the time so don't worry if you get a little dirty until now, she is absolutely adorable now for the really hard part , color change, by the way, a little side note if your eyes are cloudy, feel free to do it. glaze it with resin or clear nail polish, here we go, that's pretty and just your leg shines.
This is where I am extremely nervous about changing the color because we have to work with a white base, so I painted a piece of clay that is already hardened. white and as you can see the idea is that we can put it on and it should change color instantly. Now we're usually supposed to put it in an airbrush if you haven't seen that video. I had a lot of fun making it different. heat type pieces like mood ring, I did that with the headphones and different sculptures here and there. I'll leave those videos down except that one where we had a black base so I have no idea, I have no idea because it's a powder and I don't have a high powered airbrush.
Mine is low wattage and that's what I've been needing, so when I contacted Solar Color Dust they said I could use Mod Podge, so let's try this now. I know we're not going to need a whole 30 ounces 30 ounces an ounce we won't need a whole ounce I'm just going to do half I didn't know what an ounce is in the north well at least in Canada we work with milliliters so this amount in milliliters we will make 15, here we go and then we will add the powder and mix it very well. I guess the best way to test this is yes or no. we have some color or if it's a little bit stained, let's take a look oh wow, that's good, I want it a little bit darker, so I'm going to add a little more powder, by the way, let's try the sides too. and yeah, okay, we're just going to add a pinch and more and then we can start icing our test piece and no, that's too much, I said a pinch, there you go, okay, it's a little frothy though, I think it should be OK. see how it looks and we're just going to put on one coat for now, let it dry and then I think I'm going to try at least two, I would say between two and four, maybe even five coats.
Technically I'm a bit of a pessimist. but I'm also an optimist so let's see how it looks after one coat and if we get any kind of color change. Oh cool, there are some air bubbles and it's a little scratched, but it's definitely not something we can't fix with multiples. coats that's crazy, that's really cool, okay, I'm getting goosebumps, oh my gosh, okay, let's go ahead and look at this in real time, the color is disappearing, that's really cool, so I'm going to go ahead with two coats and, like you. I can see what the lighting looks like and three coats and a fourth coat because why not now that I know that four coats is giving me exactly what I need?
I decided to go ahead and grab the mod podge mix with the solar purple powder color. and I put it in the key areas that I really wanted to start appearing and that definitely includes the flapping of the wings and certain parts of the shading and of course the little tips of the ears. I'm not sure how well it will work. a dotting tool, but I thought I might as well try it and for the environment, I went ahead and took my wooden board, added aluminum foil to it so it would have some lumps and bumps.
I love some textures and then I did some plains and grass. Not being crowded, the grass took about 45 minutes on its own. I decided to make a little spray can because if we look at Lovely's merch it says "Stay Artistic" but there's a spray can in there so I want to celebrate the fact that she has her own merch so we're just going to put it in there and now it goes to the oven. I took the airbrush and painted the dirt parts the dirt color and the grass parts the grass color now that it's out of the oven, what's delicious without the Monster High dolls, I found a couple of them at the thrift store and I thought, hey, why not you, why not, you can stay upright, why not use them?
This may be the most extreme plastic surgery we have done on a doll so far, yes plastic surgery, okay let's do this, it was easy, I'm so sorry to do this, I feel so bad, it's going to do it all, ah. What we do for the art, I just wanted to put pieces of the doll everywhere, so this is a cute creature, kind of a creature of darkness and a doll type graveyard, and it was absolutely necessary to include the eye that she gave me . This is what I put and now all that remains is to add the detail.
Remember those pieces that I made with the extra good epoxy, they are going to go a little everywhere, their grains are ready for the final result, although I am quite satisfied with what is happening so far love of dragon check out the blue eyes for the cat check out the eyes she sent me check out the doll's body parts a little bit of everywhere check out and check out mr super clear, which is on her merch and is one of her favorite things to wear check out , but the only thing missing now is having his cats here and of course if I added a real cat or paws or something it would feel a little out of place, so since we have a random can hanging around here I thought for that.
Not adding a random ball of wool and of course we need something that symbolizes Korea because the lovely is in Korea and with that I think we are pretty complete and I'm fine, just because I used a base doesn't mean this sculpture took me longer . I've been working on it less time over the last week, which is typical of even the largest sculptures I've worked on. let me know inthe comments section below what is your favorite part of this sculpture. It really took a twisted type. tour, but that's because you know she takes those dolls apart and turns them into magnificent works of art and if you haven't subscribed to Lovely, I'll leave links to her below.
She is absolutely wonderful and one of my favorite people. Sending this to her so I can't wait for her to get it in her hands. Just say: Wow, Jackie really thinks highly of me. It is made with love. If you want to see the above YouTuber turned into a sculpture, be sure to check it out. here and if you want to see a nifty review video, be sure to check back here until then, I'll see you in the next video.
