A GREAT TRUCK!---2019 Silverado RST Review

Mar 22, 2024
space. Right there in the middle of the cup holders you have more of that kind of faux wood here along with a storage cubby here and you can have the same thing on the other side now if you go to the higher trims you'll have a cargo bed wireless. Here in the middle, however, this one doesn't have it, you can still place your phone here. It has nice rubber padding so it doesn't fly around. Very nice leather and well padded. Very soft grain. Very soft and flexible. You can see how soft it is. That right there is pretty impressive tons of storage space here.

I've got some stuff in there, so I apologize, but you guys can see how deep the area is, there's probably more cup holders back here, so if you want a double fist. and you have cup holders here, cup holders there, so you can put more in there, the mirror doesn't have auto dimming or anything like that. In this model, your OnStar will be right up here. You have LEDs. lights here which is a surprise I'm really glad to see that and you have this thing that will open the back window so that's a nice feature of course the link to your house up here as well as your mirror though , this one has no light. anywhere on the interior, so you're going to have to use those LEDs to light up your face right there and that'll be it for the front of the

truck

More Interesting Facts About,

a great truck 2019 silverado rst review...

It is very, very spacious. I am 6 feet tall. I have plenty of space for you. You guys can't see my headroom, but know that even if I were seven feet tall I would still have plenty of room in this

truck

. Oh, real quick, I didn't check the gauges, so the gauges are very, very simplistic. In fact, for me personally, I think they are too simplistic. Now gauges aren't really a big plus for me when it comes to a vehicle. However, this is

2019

. Most of the time we went to digital screens. The digital display in the middle is decent, but I feel like the gauges feel very old and just don't look very modern in my personal opinion.

Now again, I wouldn't make or break the truck for me, it's just a little thing I like to nitpick with, but let's move on. and get in the back and look at the rear legroom, all rights come to the back seat of the Silverado once again, exact same door basically as the front, nothing really new to see here, rubber mats in the back here, like this like a completely flat floor area there. Now, a few interesting things are very few interesting things about this, so obviously you can lift them up like most trucks, it will give you storage space in there and you can also lift them up for maximum space if you have. a dog or anything that requires you need that space, it's always good to have something interesting that comes here, this is the only side that has it, not that side, but you'll see a little tab here, you open that one and you have more storage space over there.

I thought it was a cool little Easter egg that I didn't really know about. Now you might be wondering why there doesn't seem to be much room back here. In fact, I have this. the seat slid all the way back to its furthest position all the way back, as far back as it would go. I'm 6 feet tall and I wanted to show you how much room you have in this truck, so once again I'm 6 feet tall and I still have about an inch and a half, maybe 2 inches of leg room back here, you have a lot incredible amount of space in the back of this truck, so now if I put myself in the middle, you can get a good reference. how much space I have in here is pretty crazy, you'll have a USB and a USBC back here too, 12 volts, 2 fans here or 2 vents back here, of course, Matt pockets behind each seat.
I have my bag up here. because you also have hooks there so you can hang your dry cleaning bags, anything you need right there, the quality of the leather back here is super flexible, super soft, you have your cup holders, they have a really well padded armrest, it's a really nice place . To be sure, you can't see the front better, yes, so let's go ahead and see what's under the hood. Well, getting under the hood of the new Silverado, you first have three engine options. the turbocharged four cylinder that we don't have, it has the 5.3 liter v8 and the 6.3 liter v8, we have the 5.3 liter v8, however, we have an additional option which is the dynamic fuel management system which will cut the cylinders at highway speeds. and will give you better fuel economy and increase your towing capacity to eleven thousand six hundred pounds instead of just eleven thousand pounds of towing.
Now that you have the fuel economy numbers here on the screen, you will have this engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and this particular Silverado will not actually have four-wheel drive, it will just be the rear-wheel drive version, so If you're surprised by now that you're paying fifty-three thousand dollars for a rear-wheel drive truck, then yes, Chevy has definitely upped the ante, but this is a higher quality truck and it's larger in almost every dimension, so which you get a lot more trucks. However, let's get out on the road and see how it tows and we'll see. how it drives well you guys start with the driving portion of the video you guys know I can't

this new Silverado without doing some towing so first of all like I said it has the 355 horsepower 5.3 liter v8 engine . 383 pound-feet of torque, this is the trailer we're going to tow.
I think it's a 10,000 pound trailer. You can see it's a pretty big trailer, it's all metal, it's a beast, I don't need it now. A trailer that big to tow because I have some furniture to tow this week, so luckily the truck arrived just in time for me to move a bunch of furniture into my house once again. You don't need a trailer that big. To tow the furniture, I'm going to tow, but I wanted to put this to work, so I'm going to put the furniture behind here and just to clarify how much it weighs, leave the gross weight, let's see how the front axle is doing. weighs about 5,200 pounds rear axle 5,200 pounds the furniture will probably wait maybe a couple hundred pounds so you know everyone is going to be close to the limits of this truck which is cool because I really want to see how this thing works so I'm going go Next I'll show you how easy it is to hitch the trailer.
Okay, stop at the truck. The first thing I'm going to do is put it in reverse and now I'm going to click on this trailer to see what it's going to do again. For me it's a little line that will help me and it moves with the steering wheel so it can show me exactly where to go to make sure the ball lines up with the trailer so I'm going to go ahead and see if I can do this on the first try it's okay, so let's see where I am, balls, that's right, I have to go, so I'm going to spin it a little more, back a little, spin it a little more, okay, so I'm in the park.
I'm going to see where I am now, jump, okay, look, we're there, we're going right under that, that was like dead, there we go, so cool, so now all I have to do is get this bad boy down and we. I'm going to go ahead and load up some furniture and start towing alright guys so we've got the trailer hooked up once you're ready to tow. I click tow and it has this cool light test, so what does the test do when you press it now? It says to get out of your vehicle and inspect the trailer lights as they go on and off the lights fall in sequence below the running lights brake lights turn left turn right then back up so I guess I should do it automatically, let's check it out, so just click stop, I'll do it again, we'll get out, okay, brake lights, left turn signal, right turn signal,

great

, everything seems to be working fine, Guys, so this is not normal.
I usually don't film when it's darker. outside, but the trailer to load everything took a lot longer than I thought and we had a little rain. below 2000 rpm and it's just pulling the trailer, no problem, the only time I really notice it is when I hit a bump and you can feel the truck doing this a little bit more than that, it's nice, it's pretty smooth, so supposed. I have it in tow mode so it's just giving me all the torque. I need the 383 pound-feet of torque to get this thing moving and yeah, it's not bad at all now as far as the interior, the cabin is nice, you know?
Obviously not the quality levels of the new Dodge Ram, but it is still a good quality truck. There's nothing here that feels cheap. There's nothing here that feels like it's made on the cheap. And that's a promise: you get behind the wheel of this thing and you can't, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything in this truck that feels cheap now in terms of ride quality. This is a new truck from the ground up, so how does it drive well? I'm going to turn this down a bit. gravel secondary road, see how it drives now as far as turning radius, it's a truck so it'll do like all sorts of three point turns in reverse on the way back.
I have found that they are like shopping malls or any type of like a Walmart parking space. I went to Lowe's the other day and had so much trouble getting into a parking space that I thought I was going to hit the cars next to me. It's such a big truck. I mean, the truck is so big. larger than the previous generation Silverado, which is a plus in some areas and is a big drawback in other areas, especially when you use it in your daily driving and trying to get in and out now, of course, if you drive a truck , you're I'm pretty used to that, if you've been driving a truck your whole life, a truck is your only vehicle, you're pretty used to maneuvering trucks.
Now I take the wheel of a Ford Fiesta that could probably fit in the bed of this truck. So this required a bit of a learning curve for me as this is my first full-size truck

review

for an entire week. Like I said though, I love this, it's really good, it drives really well. I'm on a path here. There's usually a lot of road noise when I take cars back here, it's usually a little bumpy in the ER, but of course I'm very high up, I'm a lot further off the ground, so All that road noise isn't going that far, so I'm going to give you the beans on this good cut, good truck, that's for sure, since this 5.3 isn't bad at all, it's actually enough.
This will be Chevrolet's volume-selling truck, which it is. Good because this engine is perfectly sufficient for any need you may need in a truck. This is basically everything you need and nothing more. I mean, you get some extra creature comforts like a heated steering wheel and things like that, but for the most part this is it. exactly what you need for a good solid truck and I really like it, thank you all so much for watching my review of the
