car you can have. What's up guys? I'm Gabe. I'm in the 2023 Camaro SS. Let's find out if it's worth your time and potentially your money. Ah, the Camaro SS from the moment it debuted 56 years ago. The Camaro. SS was designed to defy convention, but most importantly be the relentless pain in the ass of the Ford Mustang. This enduring half-century rivalry has led to six generations of the Camaro SS, with next year's 2024 models being the last of the sixth generation and without Clear. Vision of the future of the Camaro, but you know what they say, there is no greater gift than the present.

I'm so excited to be behind the wheel of another sixth-generation V8 Camaro with that exhaust note, oh my goodness, what a bombastic, exciting American rock and roll V8 man. oh my goodness, so distinctive from the predecessor, the LS3, and of course from the competition, like the coyote V8 and the 392 Hemi. The Challengers and Chargers, now that explosive Hard Rock exhaust note is made from a 6.2L naturally aspirated V8 engine called the LT1 and generating about 455 crankshaft horsepower and about 455 pounds of torque, those numbers are exactly the same as last year last year and through 2016 that's right the LT1 has maintained the same level of performance numbers in about 8 years and it's actually kind of funny because the coyote 5L V8 in those 8 years has gone through two generational changes and it makes you think: are they doing it to give life to their consumers or are they simply doing it because they have not found and are not doing it?

More Interesting Facts About,

I'm not satisfied with the engines they put in motion in any case, whatever the case, the LT1 is sure to put you in your place. Strong throttle response. Good access to power. I mean, it's a very, very exciting engine, oh my goodness, now comes the Camaro SS. with two transmission options to deliver those power and torque numbers. I'm guessing it's going to be a trimic six-speed manual transmission or you're going to get this super Matic Lightning Fast 10-speed automatic transmission and let me tell you something. First time driving a high performance 10-speed automatic transmission and the moment you put this in D, which is automatic driving and revs at 6,000 RPM, now we're going to shift into manual mode here, oh, a little delay on upshifts, let's check. the downshifts, oh my gosh, oh, I have to say it's a lot more engaging and rewarding to shift and do it yourself, essentially, but when you have a transmission like the 10-speed supermatic, it definitely raises a couple eyebrows, especially when you do it. you leave it up to the computer Don't get me wrong, this is not the fastest transmission when you compare it to the BMW double clutch or even the ZF and of course other crazy and more expensive cars like the pdk, this one is definitely not occupies such a high place. but it still does the job and if you haven't been exposed to those other streams before it won't bother you, what else do we need in the equation?

A good set of brakes, the Camaro SS comes with four piston brembos in the front and four pistons in the rear and let's go ahead and do a little brake test to test them at 60, well that was pretty good, let's try them at 75, oh yeah, these are definitely better than the LT's, absolutely, so it breaks pretty well, but let's do it. Back on the road, but let's do it the American way, baby, testing launch control, which should last about 4 seconds, so what we're going to do is go ahead and start it by pressing this here twice until we get competitive mode ESC. on and then it will be as simple as putting your foot on the brake, hitting the accelerator and letting it go, yeah that sounds good, 4 seconds sounds good and we got a lot of spins out of those goodye f1s and those are 275 in the back and 245 in the front front end, which was around 2000 RPM or so again, with the custom launch control setup, you could definitely launch it higher or even lower, but I mean, from the factory, I mean it's a pretty aggressive launch even for these. tires, we are reaching the corner, here we have it in track mode.

Let's see how it feels ooh oh that grips so good man you get a little hint of body roll very minimal very minimal but I'm safe with Magna Ride. or the tuned suspension of the 1LE package. I'm pretty sure that would remedy that completely and this is a pretty big car in itself, so my goodness, does it handle that well? Oh my goodness, these tires are also very, very sticky, even with a light application. of the throttle, it still holds you down very, very well, so if you decide to go out of the Elite package and just leave it with the stock suspension for all your track and cornering needs, you'll be missing out on two key components, which are the six.
Piston Brembo brakes at the front and also the electronic limited slip differential, which for many 1LE owners is decisive when it comes to track performance, you know it's the

best

way to control when to send the power to the wheels and to appropriate turning in different circumstances, making it the best way to enter and exit corners efficiently without over-steering or under-steering. Listen if you're just trying to have fun with the guys on your track days and take it out on a few coiners here and there you won't be disappointed with the Camaro SS's suspension and handling capabilities.
So how does the Camaro SS drive well like most modern sports cars? It has different driver settings for different driving situations and of course the driver's appetite and of course to change it. from the track to let's say tour mode which is the most comfortable, the whole driving experience starts to change slightly the suspension becomes more forgiving, it's not too noticeable from the track suspension, if you wanted something more noticeable, you would get the magnetic suspension, bumps in the road and imperfect roads are absorbed quite well, you will still have a bit of feedback, you will still move up and down because this is again a sports car by nature if we switch it to comfort or tour mode the steering wheel loosens up immediately it's much more manageable it's not as tight and precise as it would be with the track setup the exhaust in the rear calms down a bit and gives us enough time to think about how much we love this Camaro and a lot of other things start to happen, for example, the transmission already becomes much more comfortable, it is not so aggressive when it shifts, apart from the cost of gasoline, which by the way, if you wanted to keep it very calm, you go to get between 16 and 24, that is , 16 City 24 on the highway and that is also partly due to the cylinder deactivation or active fuel management that this car has, which a lot of people complain about, including the owner of this car, who has this handy little thing .
Great device here that could essentially eliminate AFM or active fuel management to really give you the pure V8 experience our ancestors intended to have, so what you need to understand about the Camaro SS is that it's the best way to give me a second . is the best way to get your foot in the door of a track experience in a Camaro, whether you get the 1ss or the 2ss, you can specify the 1LE package as an option, which is the ultimate track-oriented performance package Now if you didn't want to do that, that's absolutely fine because it's a $7,000 option, whether you decide to get the 1LE package or not, the Camaro SS is armed with a lot of features and functions that are really designed for those longevity and aggressiveness situations. which are placed in the car when you take it to the track, for example it has a transmission cooler, a rear differential cooler, an auxiliary engine coolant cooler and it also has a large amount of coolant and coolers to keep the car running effectively something you don't get into the Camaro LT1, which is very indicative of that track Focus or that intent and that's a really cool thing that you get and you don't have to upgrade to the 1LE package, so what's the cost of driving? a 2023 Camaro 2ss ultimately depends on what type of Camaro SS you decide to go with the SS line, you have the 1 SS and the 2ss, there is no performance difference when it comes to the 1ss and the 2ss, in fact both.
Of these trim levels have the exact same engine transmission options, drivetrain and of course performance and numbers, the only differences come with comfort and convenient features, the 2ss is rightly the most luxurious version of the SS, while the 1ss is more of the entry level SS experience. If you want to get your foot in the door with the Camaro SS Driving Experience, you'll start with the 1ss and if you get the six-speed manual transmission option, you'll now pay around $44,000 if you so choose. To get the 10 speed automatic you'll go up to 45,500 and of course if you want to go even further and get the 2SS which again is the most luxurious driving experience with the comfort and convenience features we'll cover in a moment.
It will start at $48,000 and that's for the six-speed manual transmission. Now if you wanted to get the 10 speed automatic it goes up to $50,000 and of course the price can only go up from there because like other Manufacturers there are a lot of things you get specs for your build but I think The most important thing to get for your Camaro SS or LT1 or pretty much any other V8 you decide to use has to be dual mode. The MPP exhaust system, which is by far the best thing you can do for these V8s, not only looks great, but also gives you a variety of different types of dynamic sound changes that the exhaust can be tuned to. adapt depending on the type of mode. you select, let's go ahead and hear how it sounds from the factory.
To be honest, I can't really tell the difference between sport and track mode, but I think from the other options there is definitely a noticeable difference. Okay guys, not $50,000. Not only does it give you a fun and exciting driving experience or a great sounding exhaust, it also gives you this unique and distinctive look that the Camaro brings to the table, especially this generation. Well, technically it's a refreshed sixth-generation Camaro and this update has always been very controversial. In the Camaro, Muscle Car community, and car enthusiasts in general, you know that it has this very strange type of fin design here that again is specific to the SS, the LT1, if you remember, is actually the exact same body as the V6 versions, so the SS has its own unique look and I must say that in this gloss black color it makes it look much more aggressive and you forget that it has that ugly front end and in this particular color, and I imagine that if it starts to add some lips at the bottom.
I think it's going to look a lot better and, frankly, I've really started to like the front bumper these last few months and I love the little key features, like the headlight here. It fades out here and then you have the unique fin design that is again specific to the SS and of course you have the two-piece grille design that is iconic to the Camaro and of course the huge grille at the bottom helps tremendously. with that airflow to cool that 6.2L naturally aspirated V8 engine, of course you need to have a grill that big because, again, this is a Focus track-themed version of the Camaro V8 experience, unlike the LT1 here , you actually have a vent that again allows air to be channeled up here is where we're going to find something that hasn't grown on me and that's going to be this hood insert that never really made much sense to me.
I mean, there's a lot more. space you could possibly have made for it and I just don't like how small it is compared to the hood insert on the fifth-gen Camaro, so the front of the car is obviously the most controversial aspect of the exterior design, but I think we can all be unanimously agree that the side profile of the Camaro SS is probably. I think the best feature of this car. I mean, it's so sharp and aggressive and has maintained its consistency since the fifth generation Camaro. I think from the side it's really quite. It's hard to say which is which if you don't really know Camaros like I do, but I love the low roof design.
The very small window again feels like it's an overtake in some ways like the Aventador, obviously it's quite a different experience, but that also has its drawbacks. In fact, I'll share what 2ss does to combat visibility. Infamous problem these Camaros have had, but you can also appreciate things like the gloss black five-spoke wheels you get with this one. Auto one of 10 different types of options you get from the factory, and of course, hidden behind those five-spoke wheels, you'll get the four-piston Brembo brakes front and rear, as I mentioned before, and you can specify them. to be painted in this nice bright torch red color that you already know, black on red.
I mean, noYou can go wrong with that color combination. One of the cool things you really appreciate about the Camaro is that it has wide fenders. which you can see from different angles in the front and rear, you know this car has a lot of girth, which is really what I like about it. Overall, the side profile of this car is very sporty, very aggressive, and most importantly, very consistent. Now the rear section like the front of the car has also received a refreshed design and look and it also generates some controversy just like the front of the car.
I have to say that I really enjoy the rear section of the Camaro SS, especially with the independent taillight designs that pay homage to the original look of the fifth-generation Camaro. I love that you have the quad-tip exhaust setup, which of course is that system dual mode MPP exhaust. You get a nice diffuser that is specific to the Camaro SS, unlike the LT1. You also have this nice wing design that you know there are different types of options that you can choose from the factory. I think from the rear and from the side I love the spoiler and it looks very aggressive.
I have to say that's my favorite part about these updated 6th gen Camaro SSs and before us. Let's get into the interior design and features that come with the 2ss. Let's talk a little about this key. It's very simple. In reality, it's the exact same key you would get on any other Camaro zl11le or the Bas V6 model. There is nothing special. that at first glance this is a very, very, very nice interior compared to the fifth generation Camara SS. I said that with the LT1 and I'm going to say this with the SS and even the ZL, the interior of the 6th gen Camaro is eons ahead. of the 5th generation Camaro now when we talk about the competitors, the 20203 Mustang GT for example, I think it has a much better interior even than the premium one, but unfortunately it doesn't compare to the s650, which is a completely new generation of Mustang compared to the charger and challenger I think the interior of the Camaro SS is much better.
The interior of the Charger and Challenger is very simple and doesn't make me feel like I'm in a performance car, which I definitely get that feeling, especially with this one. steering wheel here I love that it's a flat bottom steering and I love how this generation brought back the Camaro lettering here with the SS badge just like they did on the 5th generation Camaro SS the previous update, the paddle shifters are right on front and I already mentioned that they have a very cheap sound but good feedback if that makes sense and of course right in front you have a combination of speedometer, digital and physical tachometer and the different gauges.
I also love the infotainment system. Screen here, this is an 8 inch infotainment system and it's standard on the 2ss unlike the LT1 where you had to get the technology package to spec it and get this screen. Now the 2ss actually comes with a lot of luxury features like I mentioned before, the most notable in my opinion has to be the heated and cooled seats. Now the heated seats will always be available, but the cooled seats, I mean, they are top notch, that's what you would find in a BMW M or or a luxurious S Class and of course with the 2ss you also get things like blind spot monitoring, you also get things like a HUD or a head-up display now in terms of the 2ss' most impactful features that really eliminate that annoying and infamous visibility.
The problem that the Camaro SS has always had will be found here in the rearview mirror. If you actually turn it off, it becomes a normally functioning rearview mirror, but if you move it towards you, it has a rear view camera. It looks like it's 1080p quality so it's pretty decent and of course you also get a rear view camera which if we go ahead and switch it to reverse the rear view camera is not the Camaro SS's strong suit , but you know it's a rear view camera is something and the fact that there's a rear view camera to begin with with the Camara SS is just a blessing and of course when you have the blind spot monitoring up here, I mean , this is simply, there really are no excuses, there are many.
Of plastic components, of course, this is a mass-produced American

muscle

car, so I'm not too worried about that. I also really like how with the 2ss and even the 1ss or even the LT1 you have ambient lighting which is something that at night, it looks absolutely stunning, it actually works with Apple CarPlay, so of course good iPhone users old fashioned, this is the car for you. It's not a very technical

review

as far as different features go, but of course it's like the Mustang GT. Challengers, the Chargers, they have 0 to 60 timers, 0 to 100 brake timers uh, plus, those are all very standard things to have this interior, it's actually the adrenaline red interior, which is a package that you can specify, You can request these red ones. seat belts which I think look absolutely amazing.
I really wish they would have had this for the 5th gen Camaro as an option and you know it's just one of those things where it's really cool that you can customize your car with this level of option like As an additional option to the 2ss you also get both speakers , which are very important if you are an audio file or you just like to listen to music in its entirety and if you want to have the option, you can put a sunroof here if you wanted to put some GoPros or you just wanted to have more lighting or just a little more feel the breeze, that's a very good option to spec with your Camaro 2ss, so we take this car for a spin and go over the performance features the exterior the interior features of the 2ss and what makes it unique and special let's hear what others people have to say about the Camaro SS and their experiences with it so we are at a local car meet and we are going to talk to the participants and ask them what they think of the Camaro 202 23 2ss what is their favorite thing about the 2023 Camaro or this generation of Camaro that has the exact same engine and transmission as the 2019 Corvette and up Chevy has added the blind spot camera in the rear view mirror so it's automatically number one, two, it's just that you know, as far as the design of the interior you know it was a mustang type before so it's a big improvement on the interior compared to all the Mustangs you know unless the gt500's are obviously better and overall the whole performance and handling of the car They are much better before I had my zl11le.
I had a 2ss 1LE. I like the 6th generation obviously the wait and compared to the 5th generation they are easy platforms to upgrade and definitely. I think they're great cars, no doubt, the magnetic suspension that it has was great because you could be comfortable or you could go into track mode and I really liked it, just the V8, you know, you really understand. that nice crisp sound, yeah yeah it's super refined compared to the previous LS3, yeah the LS3 is a great engine too, yeah you know, I'm not too much of a car fan. I like the aesthetics of the car itself, it's beautiful, I like it. cuts it's American the interior is amazing I worked in upholstery for about 4 years uh planes and boats and I can tell you I just saw the wonderful stitching it's very luxurious what about something you don't like? um I don't like it I know what I don't like yet, I'll find out soon, it's not hard to tell a lot of things apart, but let's say the oils, the oil in these cars, now GM recommends a different type of oil, so the changes of oil will cost you about $100, you know? every 3 or four months, the back seat capacity really can't fit many people in there or a normal sized person in general.
I think GM could have done better just competing with BMW, things like that, maybe updating the interior starting in 2016, all six. Gentlemen are all equal. The interiors yes, basically the same, so I can have a 2020 2024. They are all the same. The only thing you can really do is full E85 intake headers and that's the most you're going to get out of the car. and then the last thing is that the interior could be a little bigger. I mean, I have an M4 now, so it's just a days difference for the interior, of course, you know, space-wise.
I'm winning with the striker. I'm not really sure if economics is something else because they are two completely different drivers. True, it's no surprise that the latest version of the Camaro SS leaves a striking impression, whether positive or negative, even as a Camaro enthusiast. and as an owner I can still recognize the shortcomings and things I don't like about the sixth generation Camaro SS, for example the front fascia that has created so much controversy, but although for me it is something that I have gotten used to, only if you put it in a darker color like black or dark blue is really tolerable for me and of course the hood insert is also missing and a bit unsatisfactory, of course these are all subjective things and you can always upgrade in the aftermarket realm, What is very objective is the fact that this car has not gone through a refreshed and updated interior.
A 2016 model is exactly the same as a 20123 model, and of course the 2024 model doesn't look like it's going. To change it up, what really caught my attention was the performance of this car, the LT1 engine, it has excellent low to mid range acceleration, it has excellent throttle response and it also has one of the best sounding exhausts on the market US. The car scene is sharp, it's refined, it's very unique to the Camaro SS, the 10-speed transmission, although it's not as fast as a dual-clutch transmission, sure, it still feels like it's very fast, it responds very well, The handling and steering, of course, was something I liked.
I really enjoy it a lot when you put it in sport mode, although there are not many improvements to the suspension components, the steering wheel definitely stiffens up to give you a lot more confidence, it really feels like the body roll is minimal, something that even I can't even imagine. how much better will it be when will Ali's suspension be guys there is a full in depth
