Make Your OWN High End DIY Decor | Using my FAVORITE Cricut Materials | 2023

Mar 23, 2024
Hello guys, welcome to my channel. I'm Kristen and today I'm sharing my

favorite

Cricut

materials

, so number one is definitely infusible ink. I love it because everything filters right into

your

materials

, so the first material I'm going to use coasters, these are amazing, they're also on the Cricut website and they're compatible with infusible ink. I

high

ly recommend picking up the items you're going to use infusible ink on on their Cricut website because one works a million times better and Crooked recommends

using

their infusible ink with their materials so for one, I love these coasters that catch crickets with infusible ink and their Cricut ceramic coasters that are compatible with infusible ink, so you go I also need a mat and I'm just placing the infusible ink right on top of the mat, making sure the beautiful side is facing up, so now I'm in the Cricut design space.

I went to the left side, press the shape button. and I'm going to

make

four circles for my ceramic coasters these are going to measure 3.6 inches by three point six inches they're on a mat and I cut them out once they're cut I'm just moving the mat away from the infusible ink help with the curly, so I like to remove the mat from the ink or the infusible ink, it's not ink, it's a sheet of infusible ink and now I'm just weeding. I didn't need a weeding tool, although you can use one. I just used my fingers and it worked great.

More Interesting Facts About,

make your own high end diy decor using my favorite cricut materials 2023...

I'm cutting them to size because we're going to iron them on or infusible ink is what I like to call ceramic coasters, so I'm just opening this up. I'm going to lay them flat and then finish by

using

some heat transfer tape to place the infusible ink sheets on, so heat transfer tape is optional, although I

high

ly recommend doing this with any type of iron on, especially if

your

material could move. I didn't want my material to move, that's why I'm adding the heat transfer tape. It works amazing, so now I'm putting in my parchment paper or my butcher paper and I'm going to add the easy pressure to the top 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 300 and 240 seconds.

I go to the Cricut heat guide that tells you exactly step by step the heat temperature, all that, so that's what I always use. Don't know. from memory, so I always go to the qriket heat guide. I'll also link it for you, so just click on it and then it'll ask you what material you're going to use and what surface you're going to apply. It's absolutely amazing, but this is what the coasters look like. They're so bright, they're so pretty. I love these so I want to

make

another qriket infusible ink project. Like I said, the stuff looks really boring, but I promise you once. you add it or apply it to your surface it looks beautiful so I went to projects and typed mugs so I'm looking for a mug type of design.

I don't like making my own designs. I've tried it, I'm just not that good at it, not that I wouldn't love it, but they already have some really cool pre-made designs in the design space, so I chose this mug design and I'm making two different mugs. So obviously infusible ink needs a mat, so I'm just applying this to the mat. If you want, that pretty side up is what I like to call it because you don't want to cut into the back or I'm just going to have to redo it. I am using Cricut maker 3. I love this guy, it does absolutely everything, also every qriket material, it is made and designed to work perfectly with Cricut machines, so when you have your Cricut materials, the machines are pre-calibrated for compatibility, so I don't even have to go into anything and figure out what I need to use to cut my materials once it's all cut.
I'm just cutting this out one more time and it also has the sticky side so I actually did it. I don't need to use the heat transfer tape this time, but I chose to do it anyway because I didn't want them to get ruined, so I'm using the Cricut mugs that are on the Cricut website and come in a six-pack. I've made two cups in the past, so I'm going to make two more. I think it's really fun to use so what I'm doing I'm just applying my material to the surface which is my mug and I'm using that heat tape just to hold it down like I said there's some stickiness on that sheet of infusible ink, but it's better to be safe than sorry so I'm just adding a little bit of transfer tape and it's doing nothing so it's supposed to be for heating which is awesome and you only have to use a little bit you don't use a lot.
I decided to go and use my Cricut mug press. I think this is fun. I haven't used it enough, but really all you do. You put your mug in there and this is what it looks like before and wait, you press the button and it will beep when it's full and you take it out once it cools down a little or you can grab it by the handle. but I think this is great. I love this infusible ink transfer sheet. I think it's super fun and these mugs will be the talk of the town. Alright guys, my next

favorite

material is glitter iron on, so Using this tote bag, this is also off the Cricut side and is compatible with infusible ink, although I'm going to use that Glitter iron on sheets, like this that the first thing I always do is measure my surface because obviously we have to see what size image this should be these smiley faces that are very fashionable at the moment.
I actually love them probably more than my kids, but I wanted to make this fun glitter, so I'm going to use that teal color and the blue one and then you want the glitter to face down, so if you're not sure which way you need to cut the material, here you go with the glitter side down and the ugly side up or the less attractive side up, whatever you want to call it. and then I just put it in my Cricut machine and let it cut and then we go weeding. I have all my little weeding materials and things I need right on my Cricut, although I do have a nice solid container for extras, but it was kind of easy and go, so it was actually very easy to remove.
I already made the smiley face. It was ready once I cut it, it was already peeling off, so I said, Hey, like we have something. This is good, this is good, weeding is sometimes difficult, sometimes it's frustrating, but with any type of iron on infusible ink it's very nice, so if you want to break up with just the old regular vinyl, try iron on, it's one From my favorites. I use it and I love it. I love this. First of all, I love this glitter iron on because it's glitter and glitter is fun, but it's messy with this, it's just not messy at all, it doesn't come off and it looks super fun and super cool.
Honestly I'm going to use this bag when we go on trips and I'll put snacks in it and carry it around like I thought my kids would love it but I actually end up liking it a lot more and then I just use my easy press for this and then I went to the heat guide to see exactly what the temperature and time needed to be and then I used that butcher paper, of course, and there you have it, you have a very cute tote bag, my next favorite. The material has to be smart vinyl. I love that you don't have to use a mat that doesn't look like any other type of vinyl you might see on the market, so I think Cricket is just amazing when it comes to their materials. and we're going to use my next favorite material.
I'm just using regular premium vinyl in that orange and green color, but of course we needed to use smart vinyl so I just wanted to do a fun little Easter project so I just went into pictures. In the design space and I found these wild rabbit farms and I want to like the colors of this, so I wanted them to be exactly the same colors, so to start I'm going to use them without a mat because I'm going to use my smart material. The first smart materials are specially designed to make it easier to make continuous or extra-long cuts up to 12 feet long. 12 feet.
You can make the biggest signs you ever want. I have yet to try a huge sign like that. I don't even do it. I know where I would put it in my house right now, but I like that it's available and it's if you choose um and qriket also offers a wide selection of materials and they're constantly being added to an ever-growing list of products so that's the fun part. from Cricut so I love having Cricut maker 3 because it works with absolutely everything so it works with smart materials but you can also use regular old vinyl if you choose it works with mattes and I just think the versatility of this is amazing , so I love using it and I think it makes all of their products very high end, but I'm pretty partial to smart stuff, so every time you see me do a project that's outside of this video and I'm using a Cricut, Bet on the bottom dollar.
I'm using smart vinyl. I just think it's easier. I use the smart iron for everything. I've posted some stuff on Instagram, uh, making t-shirts and stuff like that, and it's all 100% smart iron on. It's just easier and it's fantastic and that's just one of the reasons why I love smart vinyl because it's easy and I feel like sometimes when you craft it's hard and you're impatient and it's one hundred percent like that's it, that's my thing, uh, but this is what it looks like it got done. I just weeded and applied and layered and I think this is the cutest sign the sign was the surface it was from Hobby Lobby and I got it on clearance recently and I think this just makes a perfect seasonal sign on the latest project.
I wanted to use smart vinyl once again and I just went to the images and typed farm and then I decided to go ahead and type goats because my love for goats is absolutely as strong as if you have to ask me what my favorite animal is, hands down, it's a goat so I found this really cute image and I just used the smart vinyl, I put it on my Cricut machine and it didn't need matting and then I just weeded it like normal and now I'm transferring it to the Cricut transfer tape. I love Cricut transfer tape, which is another favorite material.
I have used other transfer tapes in the past and I always seem to come back to the qriket transfer tape, it's just one of my favorites. and I'll use it before any other company, it's just been my favorite so far and I added it to this cute little jar, this one was from Dollar General and I think I only paid two dollars or less for this guys. it's for the video I hope you enjoyed it if you did make sure to give this video a thumbs up again. Thank you qriket for sponsoring today's video and if you want to see any of these materials that are my favorites, I will link them. in the description box for you, but that's it, see you next time, goodbye, foreigner.
