I'm going to use three of these Dollar Tree

sign

s with the little galvanized hearts because I really wanted to use them in another tutorial, so what I'm going to do is remove all the extra stuff from the signs. thread and to remove the galvanized hearts I am going to use a small putty knife from the Dollar Tree and we will also use this later so I really wish I had read my subscribers suggestion to heat this up before trying to remove it. but unfortunately I filmed this before I even showed my transport video, so it takes some energy to remove it and some of the paper got torn, but that's completely fine because we're just going to take a sanding sponge and sand this. but if you're at home you might want to grab a hair dryer and heat up the glue.

More Interesting Facts About,

I'll leave your comments somewhere above so you can see your suggestion now to put them all together. I'm going to turn them over and instead of gluing each board, what I'm going to do is use some popsicle sticks that I bought at Dollar Tree and start attaching them at the seams that way the glue doesn't drip forward and creates a extra texture, so what I do I'm going to use a little bit of glue that my gorilla would use to start attaching them everywhere I can. You can use any type of glue you want, but I had some left over and I wish I had used it for the other part of this. project, but hey, we live and learn, so I added a generous amount and started placing them on the seams and then added weight to any areas of the sign that weren't exactly flat and kept placing them where I felt I needed them. then I added some extra ones to the seams just to give it a little extra security and let it dry.

I could have let it dry a little longer, but I was very impatient, so I went ahead and turned it into, luckily for me, gorilla

wood

. the glue doesn't take long to dry so now what I'm going to do and this part is optional, if you're going to add a frame to it I'm going to cover them with light putty from Dollar Tree, this is exactly the same as In my last tutorial I used these signs and I just wanted to cover up those holes so that when you paint everything everything is nice and seamless, so what you're going to do is push it in with your putty knife and wipe off the excess and whatever.

You get into those little cracks and you want to make sure you get them out so everything still looks like paintable

wood

boards. I used gray granite from Apple Barrel. You can find this at Walmart for 97 cents SuperDuper cheap, but it comes off. a blue shade, so I just added it to a small bowl and as I paint I make sure to try to cover all the letters, but I also try not to get the paint into those little crevices. that still looks like wooden planks. I'm not doing a good job painting and that's okay because I want everything to look really worn out in the end.
One thing to note is that this paint covers all of those red letters in one stroke, so that's awesome, so once everything is completely covered, I'll also grab some white paint from Walmart and then apply it with a dry brush, so even though things are still wet, I'm going to go ahead and do this. because if I have too much white, it's a lot easier to blend it if the paint is still wet, so you'll see here what I mean, in areas where I'm going too white, what I'm doing is I'm mixing both colors or just putting the gray On top of that, it gives a very pleasant lime effect.
You can always use sandpaper and sand a little bit, but make sure you don't do it too much because you still have that. red on the bottom that could be exposed, so once everything is completely dry and ready, this is what it should look like and what I'm going to do is use this wooden heart from Dollar Tree. Normally I would dye something like this. but honestly I really loved how it looked unfinished with this color so I didn't use any dye for the rest of this tutorial which is different for me because I love dyeing things so what I'm going to do is position I want it on the piece of wood and I'm going to hot glue it into place.
I would use wood glue but honestly this was much faster and I ran out because I went a little crazy when I was binding everything. I'm going to use this bouquet from Dollar Tree. I love it. I think it's so beautiful. I'm using my side cutters to cut everything and making sure you're using side cutters instead of scissors. There is wire underneath and scissors. I won't do it using my hot glue gun. I'm going to start adding strips of glue to the edge and then press those little stems or whatever they're called, making sure not to touch them with my fingers.
I always forget it. to use my finger guards, I don't even know why I bought them, so you can add as much or as little as you want. I tried to keep it very thin at the bottom and thicker at the top, so that's how it looks and you can leave it as is, but I decided to make use of that little bouquet and use the greenery that comes with it. I think it's some of the prettiest greenery that Dollar Tree has so I cut it all out, you can cut it with scissors because it doesn't have wire and then I started putting it around the heart where I liked it and I didn't like it on top so I left it right on the bottom and I started attaching everything using hot glue originally I'm not going to add a border to this but I think it looks really simple so I decided to do the usual which is a Jenga border and I'll link the tutorial to the first video.
I didn't want to make this video. longer, so these are the pieces I used. I use two rows of ten and two rows of nine, so guys, I'm going to be completely honest with you this time. I tried the hot glue method and I didn't like it, it creates bulk between the Jenga pieces and makes everything a little uneven, but I ran out of gorilla wood glue and a lot of subscribers suggested it, but I honestly don't recommend it, I just don't It's worth it and it doesn't look that good. or ordered so that the pieces that are short the nine pieces do not go on the side the large ones go on top I joined them using my hot glue and as you can see everything already looks crooked and that is due to the volume of the hot glue, so now I'll try to frame it and you have to move it around to figure out where it goes, but once you get a good piece, you'll glue this in place like I said I normally would.
This part also uses Gorilla wood glue and it just adds some weight and I think Gorilla wood glue gives you a lot more time to work and move things around so I ended up with a few pieces that I couldn't get back into place when I finished framing, I still thought it looked a little plain so I'm going to use these wooden letters from Dollar Tree and I got my husband's initial and mine, well everyone knows my real name starts with a y, but we're not talking about that. I just added a little hot glue and placed it where I wanted and I could have spelled out our full names, but I thought it looked really cool with just the initials and I think it would make a great Valentine's Day gift, so when I was done, BAM! had a beautiful faux wood sign that is totally

farmhouse

valentine and year-round worthy.
I really hope you enjoyed this video and if you did, don't forget to give me a thumbs up and also watch the Dollar Tree farm video. that I did, I go a lot more in depth into how to frame it and also show you how to transfer letters without using Cricut or Mod Podge. I love that video, as always, thank you very much for watching. I appreciate you all. a lot and see you in the next video
