tutorial

. Thank you for starting to make our sparkly snowman. I need beach balls now, once this prop is ready it will be a little over seven feet tall so if you want a shorter snowman you will need to use smaller beach balls but for this project we are here using three different sizes: 42 inches, 36 inches and 24 inches, as always, all materials, everything I use.

I link it in the description of the video so you can go there, click and it will take you right to the place where I bought it. Next, we need to fill these beaches. balls, you can use an air pump. I have an electric air pump that I am using or you can just do it the old fashioned way by blowing up the beach balls yourself so now that we have our beach balls inflated we need to surround it with expanding foam we are using cool expanding foam stuff , big gaps and cracks because it expands more and what we're going to do is start surrounding it with expanding foam, maybe in a spiral motion to start and then maybe an up and down motion to start covering it because we need to leave Let the expanding foam dry, we're going to do this in half, so we'll do the top half of the section with expanding foam, let it dry and once it dries, we can turn it over and finish it off.

More Interesting Facts About,

giant glowing snowman diy tutorial...

One important thing is that these beach balls are just to give us the shape, so once the expanding foam has hardened, we can let the air out and take out the beach ball because we only care. about having that nice foam, you know, the encapsulation that we need so you can reuse these beach balls later or you can do what I did last time, which is just stab them and let the air out, but let's get to it, it's super fun , make sure you do it. You're in a place where you don't care if some expanding foam falls and you don't want it to fall on you or any surface.

Let's get to it before continuing with this

tutorial

. I wanted to show you the first book I published. I've written that it's called Little Olive and the Wally bat and it's rated for ages two to six. It follows a brave little Olive who gets lost and is found by a very helpful brown bat. This is the first book I have written. and I'm really excited because it's available on Amazon in paperback or Kindle, so if anyone wants to support me or read it to their kids, check it out. The link is in the bio for the Little Olive and the Wally bat video on Amazon. now let's go back to this awesome tutorial before we start make sure the air valve is at the bottom of the three balls.

Let's put the air valve down. The reason is that we don't want the expanding foam to cover it. If you want to reuse them or remove the beach ball, it is very easy to open it and then take it out, so let's start with our expanding foam. First we'll start with a circular motion and then at some point I'm just going to start going up and down. I'm using a bucket that I have here to hold it in place and with that circular motion we're going to start going up and down like this. We can continue with the second half. but we're not going to cover the whole ball again, we'll probably just go this far so that when we start stacking the balls they can fit nicely on top instead of two exact balls on top because then you're going to have a really tight spot right there, so you're going to want to let's make it this far so let's do it like this and we'll keep making the whole beach ball so at the top we'll make a thicker ring like this and we're doing it, let me show you a little bit better, we're doing it so that when it dries we can turn it over and put it in the secondary beach ball that we can get rid of. this beach ball here deflate stab whatever you can get rid of and then we have our little foam ball so let's let that dry and move on before we finish applying expanding foam to all the beach balls.
I wanted to show you how it looks finished so you can decide if you want to do it the same way. This is the base. This is the largest beach ball. There is an opening at the bottom. You could fill it with expanding foam if you wanted, but I think. that a snowman is not perfectly round, so this allows it to stand firmly on the ground, so it gives you a little more stability, so this is the bottom part, let's take out the beach ball and then here I did a little of shelf. I just added extra expanding foam to the top so that when the middle ball goes in, it has something stable to hold on to.
We're also going to use expanding foam to glue them together so I thought that would just give it a nice place to rest so this is the center part this is the middle ball both sides are not completely filled again this is how I'm doing it you can fill it completely is perfectly well last year I filled them Completely I also filled this side and it was perfectly fine. I'm just trying something different this year where I won't fill them all the way in to see if it makes a difference if it's easier to attach I think by doing it like this.
This way it will be a little easier to place when we put all the snowballs together, so it's totally up to you. I put a little bit more on the bottom here so it has a place to rest. We have the head again to the left of the bottom. open it up so it can stick to the secondary ball so let's remove the beach balls and continue with this project so once all the balls are completely dry we'll be ready to glue them together so I'm going to use expanding foam again. here so we can put this one right on top and then do the same thing with the other one we're just going to use the same thing as an adhesive so come on it should dry in a couple of hours like Quick reminder: we're going to use expanding foam for doors and windows because this one doesn't It expands as much as the large gap and crack we used for the entire snowman, so it will only be used to glue all the balls together. together and let's go overseas, make sure you adjust it to the position you want it to be, it's that simple, once you've adjusted it to the position you want, we're going to put some more expanding foam right where it is.
The two balls meet, our next step is to wrap them with LED lights. Now this part is completely optional, but I think it will look really cool once we turn on the LED lights. These lights are approximately 160 feet long and have 500 LED lights. it doesn't give off heat so you don't have to worry about it melting or anything like that so we're just going to wrap it over and over again so we'll start from the bottom and work our way to the end. Top If it starts to slip, I have some clear tape that we'll use on the back just to keep it in place.
Got it, we're just going to do that because if they ever come off, you'll want to be able to remove it. change them and change them, this should last for years so there should be no problem with this going out during the first season, but in case it ever goes out it will be easier to take off or the other way around. is that while it's wet start wrapping it with the LED lights but they would get stuck in the foam and if it ever went off you would have to throw the whole thing in the trash so I think this way is the best way so just let's Start wrapping it and see how it looks weird now that we're done wrapping it with LED lights, we need to apply a snow blanket.
Now this is buffalo snow and I buy them at Walmart. I'm not sure how many bags I have. I will need it, but each bag weighs 24 ounces, so at the end of this I will have an estimate of how many bags to buy to keep it in place. Now we'll use these landscape pins, everything I use in all my tutorials. I link them in the description of the video so if you want to know where to find them go to the description and it's right there so these landscape pens we're going to place in the foam every time we want to hold them. fake snow blanket in place so let's get started foreign foreign scarf I just used a normal size scarf but since it's so big it doesn't tie in the conventional way so we're just going to put it like this and I'm going to attach a pin to it right here to keep it in place and I think it looks great like this for the hat we just hot glue it on it stays there you can also use expanding foam but it looks great like this and remember we just made a hole to the carrot into the foam, then we push it in with a little hot glue and glue the nose on and that's how we put all the accessories in there for the snowman's arms.
In fact, I'm going to use a real one. Branch so get yourself two small branches that can even be small twigs and then let's get some black electrical tape. We're going to wrap the entire branch in black electrical tape and it's super simple. We start at the base at an angle and then start wrapping. the whole branch and this shouldn't take you more than a few minutes to wrap around it and we'll continue to do that until we've covered it completely and it'll give it that nice shiny black look and it'll look really cool so let's do that with two branches for its arms.
Once we're done with our branches, we're going to make a hole on the right and left side right here. I think you can see that I made a hole here so that it goes through the expanding foam and then we can take our branch and we can just push it in like this and it will stay like this, so do it on both sides and we will be completely finished to hold the doll of snow. I just put rebar, this is a two foot rebar in the ground right here. I put a total of four and it just holds the entire snowman and to cover them you can just push the snow blanket over it or spray paint the rebar white so it blends in better.
So we have four in total and it holds the base very well, as well as that foreigner.
