glitter

and of course a

glass

of

wine

. I have some foam brushes here that

make

application easier, so let's go. to create a clean line around the

glass

so it's easier to work with and doesn't get messy when you apply your mod podge and your

glitter

, so here we have the final look of the glass and we're going to pour some mod podge into a well. I'm using a paper plate which

make

s it easier to clean up afterwards and I'm applying some mod podge to the perimeter of the glass I want to add the glitter to.

I'm going to carefully go over the glass applying the mod podge so it doesn't get messy when you apply the glitter to the surface. These projects are pretty simple, although they do take some time, so make sure you can do at least two applications of glitter. Later in the video I'll show you how I let the glitter dry first before applying the second coat of mod podge and then a little more glitter, so we're going to go all the way around. The glass and applying the mod podge is not too thick so you want to make sure it's a thin layer of mod podge because you don't want your glitter to be clumpy when you apply it so today I'm using a fuchsia pink and I'm going to sprinkle that around the

wine

glass, so I'm just going to twist it in my hand and shake it around a little bit covering all the areas that I applied the mod podge.

This looks good so far. You will find when the glass is dry when this layer of glitter is dry. You may see a little space between them. If you want, you can apply another glitter, another layer of glitter, but it's not necessary. It just makes it a little bit more gives it a little bit more coverage. I have to say here we are and I'm going to remove the tape because we don't want the tape to stay on while it dries when you remove it at this stage it gives it. nice clean finish and you don't want the application to come off with the tape if you wait too long so we're going to also do the bottom section of the glass to match the top and I'm applying. a little bit of modification like I did in the first steps okay like I said this project takes time um but you will definitely love the finish and this could be something you can add to your art um if you are doing crafts or selling handmade things or it could just be a

birthday

gift

idea

if you have a friend who really likes glitter, so what we're going to do is allow this first layer to dry.

It took about two hours, so I'm going to come back with another application of mod podge and we're going to apply this around the glass again. This time we don't need the tape because now I've created a nice, clean one. perimeter where I'll be working, so I just have to be careful when I'm going around to not go over these lines and just apply another thin coat of mod podge again to apply my second coat of gloss, so this looks beautiful. it's already coming out really good and it's not even finished so like I said just be careful when you go around the edges so you don't go over that area that you created the first time and we'll apply it quickly and put a layer of my chubby around the glass, try not to miss any points because you don't want the fine stuff to show, but you guys can tell me what you think about the process so far and remember to let me know if there is a particular project you want to see me do and I will definitely try it if I haven't already done right, so I'll guide you step by step to do other projects like this and please.

Share this video with your friends, you know there are people interested in doing these things at home, instead of paying someone to do it, it's pretty inexpensive if you can do it yourself, so I'm taking my time to wander around alone to Make sure you don't go over the area that I created in the first step and we're going to apply a little more glitter, so one of the reasons I use the paper plate to catch the glitter underneath makes it easier for me to do that. just pour it back into the bottle so you don't have to waste it you don't have to throw it away it's definitely reusable so now we're going to apply some glitter to the top section and this is my second layer of glitter and I'm going to let them both dry .
Another two hours is all you need and then once that's done we'll move on to add our studs, that's the fun part, that part I can tell you definitely takes. some time so make sure you have a glass of wine and you know just relax it's going to take time so tell yourself the finished product is going to be amazing so here we have the second layer and what I'm going to do is I'm going to try to remove some of the shine from the open areas, so I'm just going to use a brush, a small brush, to remove some of the shine.
You can also try using a dry paper towel to remove as a paper towel. a little bit of glitter because it's not glued to the glass it's just sewn there so you can easily remove it here we go so this layer is pretty dry this is two hours later and what I'm going to do now is seal the glitter. on the glass so you don't take away the shine every time you touch it, so we're going to do this mod podge application just to seal the shine into the glass, so this is the final application step for the shine section. and then you just let the glass dry for another two hours, just to keep in mind that the curing process takes a couple of days, so you might be able to touch it, you might be able to play with it, you might You can give it away, but we recommend that you don't wash this glass for, say, two weeks, because that's how it will be and the mod podge will tell you in the instructions that I think it takes up to eight weeks to cure it, so you can follow that. the instructions on the mod podge, these are generally

gift

idea

s, so the expectation is that you meet the person who wouldn't start drinking right away, um, so if you know something is coming up, you can probably try to work on it . this project early, so when you give it as a gift, it had some time to cure before you give it to the person because you really don't want to tell anyone, hey, don't touch this glass or wash it. this glass for another two weeks, that's not a good idea, so try to make it a couple of days in advance before giving it away, and if you're a crafter, it's also recommended that you have these things, these pieces created. and you'll be keeping them for a while before giving them to your customers, so we'll just seal the bottom section of the glass and make sure it doesn't flake off to the touch.
Once this is done, we leave it. for two hours and let it dry so we can work with it a little more, so it looks good, here we are a couple of hours later and I'll walk you through the process of applying the studs to glam up this wine glass . up and I'm going to start with some super glue but what I found when I used the super glue to apply the posts it held it but I didn't like how it made my posts look dull after I applied it so there was some reaction when I used the super glue, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to change it and I'm going to use a different glue.
This one is specific for glass and those types of materials, so I'm going to work with that and you can find them at your local hardware stores. What I will do is leave the name of all the glues I am using so you can find them. It's either online or at your local stores, so we're going to go around the perimeter of the glitter where we have the glitter and I'm just going to apply some studs, you can choose what size you want to work with. They know it just depends on their preferences. It takes some time, guys, so I won't show you the entire process of applying each of the studs here.
I'll just show you how I do it and then. I'll come back and show you the finished product. Alright, we will also apply the number 19 because this is a gift idea for a teenager, and the number 19 I manually added to the glass, that was the process. itself, you can let me know if you want me to walk you through the process of applying the number and how I achieved that look, but you won't be able to see it in this step due to the time it took to apply it. one is okay, so here we have the finished product, don't forget to like, share, subscribe to my channel and watch my next video.
