You see, we'll take it out again, don't worry, so I give it a thin coat of that one coat. Now I'm taking my old wax and y'all, I'm putting the lightest amount on my chip brush. lighter amount, you can see I'm dipping the lid and then I dip to the side and remove the excess and you can see it brings out all those details again. Is awesome. This is a great way to put. designs on a flat surface, so I let it dry and then you know, time to customize, so I'll grab this lace. It's actually like elastic lace.

I used to use it for baby headbands and I'm going to tighten it up. This spatula is from the makeup section at Dollar Tree. It's like a silicone spatula, so I'm going to pull it out and then I'm going to hot glue it on. Momo, um, squeeze that, cut off the excess lace and then let's wrap it or I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm distracted, I have a little boy sleeping next to me and then the dog trying to lick him and I'm like, oh my God, he's okay, so now costume jewelry once again, I'm taking part in this pearl necklace.

First I'm going to place the center bead like that, you could just pick up the right and left side and put a drop of hot glue in a straight line and just place it down, now let me tell you if you're using like Pearl the Pearls. from Dollar Tree, put it on a string first instead of trying to put them on one by one and it will save you a lot of time, so I'm going to hot glue this other side and now I'm taking this little piece of triangular lace. and I'm going to cut it to the top.
I don't cut it completely. I just cut it all the way to the top, leave about a half inch up there and then bunch it up and pretty much basically do it. like a tassel that's basically what I did except I didn't cut it strand by strand so I'm going to tie it and then I'm going to hot glue it on my left side right there easy and then I'm going to add some flowers and you, if shabby chic colors are not your thing, you can completely turn them into traditional colors like a red heart with a piece of white lace.
I mean, the options are really endless when it comes to it. I just like this type of decor because the pinks, the florals, all of this transitions really well into spring, so I don't have to take it all off when that time comes, so I embellish it with some of these little rhinestones here. I just felt like the lace needed something because it was so wide and then I'm going to thread the thread again. These are the largest beads from Dollar Tree and the amazing thing is that this thread has that hard plastic at the end so it made it very easy to string these beads so that's it for this one that I just finished.
I did, if you see on the left, I left a little bit of space so the pearls weren't on top of the heart, but more like above I hope I hope you guys are picking up what I'm putting down and this is what it looks like. I love it. It's already hanging on the tree in my hallway just as they walk in the front door. I love how it turned out. I love all that texture, it's so feminine and beautiful, I love it, you guys are ceramic. I mean, like plate frames, I don't know what they are, but they look handmade.
I bought them from um Goodwill. I lacquered them and then painted them with a little. white primer and now I'm going to use Rust-Oleum pink blush. I'll also use Serenity Blue and Chiffon, all from Rust-Oleum, all in my Amazon store link below and I give each of these two coats of paints now, once I'm done I'll grab some clear wax by Waverly. I'm going to put a light coat on it and I mean, a light coat guys, and then I'm going to take this mica powder and I have this mica powder. forever, I don't know what I'm doing, I'm just playing with this here and I take a brush and it's dry and I just take that powder and start rubbing it on the clear wax in my mind.
I felt like it gave it something to adhere to, however, you don't need the clear wax to use the mica powder, so I'll show you a different frame that you can see in the turquoise, look at this on the right, how to put the mica powder on. mica and this beautiful pearlescent look that it gives to these frames, it just adds that

romantic

touch that it needs, it also gives it more definition and then I'm going to grab these graphics that I got uh, Graphicferry.com absolutely. I can print them for free and then resize them on canva.com.
I apply a little Mod Podge to the back of the prints and then go ahead and smooth it out on my frame. I didn't put any Mod Podge on top. I didn't want it to have a shiny look. I wanted it to be very, you know, kind of rustic and worn. I chose these images because they really look romantic to me and I loved the little bit of turquoise and some of them to achieve it. Serenity blue with our other projects, so again we're just applying that Modge Podge on the back and look how beautiful these prints are.
Can you believe they are free? You don't have to enter an email, nothing like that, absolutely. free I'll link it below with all the other links for today's video. Alright, next I'm going to grab some of these paper flowers that one of my subscribers sent me. Thank you so much. I finally get to use them and they're just like a bouquet of little roses, medium sized roses, they're so delicate and beautiful, so I'm going to have fun with these frames and decorate them with some of these flowers. I'll also add some pearls and little rhinestones to them.
I mean, this is where you just let your imagination run wild and add a lanyard if you want. I mean buttons, there are so many options here anyway, guys, I'm really surprised at how pretty these turned out. Look at this arrangement, now you could hang them. snap them together and make like a collage or you could put a sawtooth hanger on the back and just hang them or you can just prop them up on a shelf but omg these look awesome and that mica powder on them is everything let me know what you think below on these good friends, so we'll start with two of the Dollar Tree Planters, this

vintage

Mod Podge, yeah, and take Mod Podge.
I didn't know what it was, nor did Plaid send it to me and I was Let's try this so that when you see me pour the Mod Podge you can see that it is cream colored and not that white color. I've seen this paper towel method used before, but recently I saw it used in our upcycled life with Deidra and I thought, you know what? This is a great opportunity to try this as I'm doing this shabby chic look, so basically all you have to do is dip your paper towel in the mod podge and then use your fingers to write. to remove the excess, you don't want it like dipping in it, but you do want it definitely saturated in the Mod Podge, don't ask why I'm not wearing gloves guys, you just know I'm messy, it is what it is, as you can see , I'm smoothing it out but I'm not trying to make it look like every wrinkle, I'm just trying to get the air bubbles out.
Personally, I love texture and wrinkles, so I'm all for it. for it and you're going to continue and you'd like to do layer after layer depending on how much depth you want to add to your piece and I'll continue doing this in a second one, this is like the shorter and wider version. and then I just took the twine off the top of these and you guys, spring will be here before we know it and they'll be selling them again so definitely jump on them so I do the same thing I do. I just have to do, I think like a paper towel and a half in this one because I have like the paper towel rolls that are like half the sheet of paper towels, you pick up what I'm putting in so I go ahead and term.
I let this dry and then, or I'm sorry, I didn't let it dry, I set it aside and then I got this lace fabric. You have asked me many times where I got this from. It's from Joann's, but I got it like a million years ago, so I don't know what it's called and I don't know if it's still there, but as you can see, while that paper towel is still wet, I'm grabbing this lace. I'm just going to say how to apply and I'm putting it on top and then I'm taking the mod podge and I'm stippling it anywhere that it fits that way it sticks to the paper towels and everything will dry together so you can see anywhere where there is lace.
I like the middle petals like flower petals. I tried to get them really good and I will say that wetting the paper towels instead of waiting for them to dry, which I thought was what I was going to do, made it a lot easier because then the lace didn't move on me, it stayed It adhered to the wet paper towel and made it much easier to work with. Now I finally saw this dry and at first I thought it would look like a creamy color on me. but it actually dries down and is as it says aged, it looks like a brownish yellow, almost golden, when you see it in person and I personally think it is beautiful, you guys have to let me know what you think after seeing this final reconstruction and if you will be tempted to try it, so see how they turned out.
Personally, I think they are awesome. I love the antique look, even the paper towel itself looks like lace wrapped around these pots, so let me know. the comments, if this is something you're going to try, okay, so we're going to start with a Dollar Tree sign frame to sign a cut out Dollar Tree wooden heart and we're going to take this bad boy apart now that I knew I could. I didn't paint the little bit of MDF that came out of the frame because it was too messy, so I decided to grab some scrapbook paper I bought from Michael last year.
I'm going to trace that inside piece and cut out my scrapbook. paper again. I bought this at Michael's last year, I'm hoping they have the same thing and then since I'm going to be adhering something heavy to this, I definitely wanted to attach the paper using Mod Podge instead of a glue stick or hot glue gun because I wanted to make sure that it wouldn't come off, so now I'm drinking my Mod Podge in soft form and this is amazing. I'm going to show you right now how it pushes all that Mod Podge to the top, which is usually because the bubbles are amazing, so now I'm going to take it to you.
This mat is amazing. My subscriber, who I said, sent me like the previous ones. This was also in the box. Now I didn't know how to attach it to me. sign, so I thought, you know what, let's try someone Podge, so I put a nice coat on it, like uh, not fine, it was a healthy coat, but I made sure it was evenly covered, then I pressed that mat and it was like a very thin mat and you guys, after this dried, it was stuck on, it wasn't going anywhere, so next I'm going to take my wood cutout cut into a heart shape, you guys go and I'm going to paint that Rust pink blush. -Oleum, this is in my Amazon store link, you can also find Rust-Oleum products at your local Walmart, so now guys, I always say, oh, this is going to be a really easy DIY and then I start getting extra . like this and this took some time so grab your cup of coffee and put on some YouTube while you do this because it took me a little bit okay but we're going to put in a bunch of different sized beads these are from Dollar Tree . some of my jewelry and then the little holes in there were driving me crazy so I got more of my jewelry, they were like these little crystal clear pieces that came from a broken necklace and I just put some hot glue on it. in the holes and, oh my God, look at this.
I wish you could see how bright it is. Okay, now I put it back in the frame so I can see the location. I'm going to take hot glue and I'm going to cover the back, put a nice healthy layer on it, stick it right in the middle. Now I took this frame outside and spray painted it like a cream color, but because it's so cold in Kansas and in my basement, because there's no air down here. I had to paint over it because it was sticky, so I got my gauze paint, gave it a coat, and then grabbed my rough sanding block from Dollar Tree.
I distressed the outside edges and inside edges. I just sprayed it with some clear matte spray paint. Rust-Oleum and then we move on to simply placing ourheart piece again there, it already has a hanger for you and you, this is probably my favorite piece I've made of all the Valentine's Day pieces, it's just stunning. Look at this, oh my goodness, and if you see it in person, like the sparkles coming out of it, that heart mat is absolutely the most impressive thing I've ever made and let me know what you think about it.Hi guys, I hope you're enjoying this video as I mentioned in last week's video.

We have a new one on January 7th, which will be Hopefully a good playlist of other creators joining me for some new romantic DIYs, so go ahead and skip to the rest of this video, so for these little ones beauties, look at this quickly, you know the Dollar Tree stuff.
Removing the paper isn't that easy but it was these I bought last year at Dollar Tree, I don't know if they will have them again this year and you know the back of these weren't even ugly, I don't know why I felt the need of covering them with paper, maybe it's just a matter of habit, but I did it. I covered the back with paper like I usually do but it's not necessary if you can remove the paper nice and clean but everyone knows I love a finished product so I went ahead and made this and then grabbed my craft knife , we'll cut them out there, come back covered and then I'll paint the edges with cheesecloth, they were a bright white which really was.
It's not my vibe and I really wish I had done this before gluing the paper to the back because then paint got stuck to the paper, but it's fine so after they dry I'm going to go find some paper for scrapbooking and I bought all my scrapbook paper at Hobby Lobby when it's like 50 off. I'm going to trace my heart now every time I cut something to modify it. I always cut around the line I drew just to give myself a little movement. space with my placement because if I have too much I can always sand off the excess, so I'm going to apply some Mod Podge.
I have found that when I apply the Mod Podge directly to the paper and then just put the smallest amount on the item I am going to stick it to I have the least amount of bubbles and air pockets so I apply it and then go get my little G Mod Podge bias and I'm going to press everything. excess Mod Podge to make sure there are no bubbles and then sanded the edges. Now I was inspired by my friend Jessica, she recently got into junk journaling and she's been showing me all this really cool stuff, that's why I was inspired to do this, so I just ripped out some more scrapbook paper applying more of that mod podge and then I'm going to apply it directly there, so I'm going to set it aside and then we're going to Make another heart.
I won't show you this process because I already showed you the first one. After you're done, we'll start our favorite part, accessories, so I'll grab this cream yarn. This is from Wally's World and I highly suggest that as you place this around the heart that you hot glue it because since the edges are curved the thread will move on you if you don't secure it so that's what I did it while I was wandering around, so take it out there. I'm going to put it back one more time. They have to find the right location. You know, cut that excess off and then you, I think they're supposed to be roses.
I found this stem at Dollar Tree. Seriously, it's the

best

quality I've ever seen and I only found one of them so you know, I grabbed it so I'm going to grab some of that Greenery hot glue and then take it. Rose, I made sure to cut these stems as close to the flower as possible so that it lays flat below. I'm going to take some of the wooden flowers and put them there. Oh, so, they both turned out so beautiful. I can't wait to decorate my house with these, and for this one I'm now going to make some lace flowers.
I know there are different ways to do it, but for me what I did was do it directly on the heart, so I made like a little lace ball, hot glued it to the heart and then I'm on the heart. I'm twisting and hot gluing as I go. You can definitely do this by cutting like a piece of felt into a circle and doing it the same way. Same way, but for me I thought, well, why do that? I could do it right on the heart, so it was a lace ribbon and now I'm going to take a little bit, um, I took a gem, now I'm taking it so you can see. how I started that little knot right in the middle this is actually my veil my wedding veil was too long when I bought it and the seamstress cut it off and I saved all the excess so you could see how I'm turning it, I'm turning the tool up , putting that hot glue directly over my heart and then just following it until I got the size I want and I thought this was a lot easier because I was trying to make it like off the heart and it just wasn't getting as flat as I wanted so okay, get out of there, okay, and then in this bag of jewelry that I bought at the garage sale this summer, I found this little piece that looked like a brooch and I was like, yeah, that. it's so beautiful so I'm going to hot glue it on and then I'm also going to take some pearls from the costume jewelry and hot glue them on the side and then we'll finish personalizing these ladies and see how they turned out I love them I love the role of the scrapbook I love the torn edges and look at this one with that red rose oh yeah let me know which one is your favorite the one on the left or the one on the right okay here's something else new that I've never tried before so that we will try it together.
I'm going to bring some bowls, some mats, this stiff Mod Podge. I have never used this filling for you. I saw something on Pinterest and I thought, I want to try that, so I immediately ordered it on Amazon, okay, so I put on some gloves for this because I didn't really know what I was working with. I'm grabbing these beautiful mats that one of my subscribers sent me and I'm the first. I start with a little bit and then I'm like, oh, I'm going to need a lot more because you have to completely immerse whatever you're making in the product and now I'm working the product through the mat to make sure it's nice. on every inch of this piece so as you can see, I'm looking to make sure there are no dry spots.
I drain it now. I don't know if I was supposed to do it. Not specific. I did not do it. watch videos about this. I just saw a post that said rigid then mats and I thought I was doing that so I put this upside down in this really cool bowl from Dollar Tree, then I'm making a little mat and I'm going to use a glass container now. I think I read that it works better if there is plastic wrap, but I didn't really have any problems getting them out of the containers, so I wanted to try a thin lace material just to see after they dried. the difference would be and you guys, this is it, this is all you had to do for this DIY and you make the most beautiful bowls, little trinkets, uh plates.
I mean, I was impressed when I took them off after they dried. I left them. I dried overnight and then with the pink lace I just cut off the excess and look at these, look at these ladies and gentlemen, look at this. Do you see it sort of bristling around the edges? It's so stiff the pink one isn't as stiff as the doilies and you'll see it's super flexible and then this little like a trinket dish, oh my gosh, let me know if you're going to try this, okay, because it's a soufflé dish, I don't know where they are from.
Dollar General and it was four dollars for the four pack and I figured I'd pay a dollar at Dollar Tree individually, so why not? These hearts are also from Dollar General. They were garlands like three different garlands and then they were all knotted in a box, so we'll use a red stripe and then a burlap colored one, we'll make three of these in total, so we'll get our plates. I'm going to get some floral foam, everyone knows better. I like to glue if I don't have to glue, so I made that floral foam big enough that I could squeeze it in there and not have to glue it because it had a firm hold, so I'm going to put some Spanish moss on top.
To hide it, you can also use it like you know, the Dollar Tree bag filler. If you want it colorful, then I'll grab some wooden beads and alternative sizes. Now all of these hearts are going to be different lengths, so I'm sticking with the skewer, this is a Dollar Tree skewer because of the way they're nice and thin and fit into the beads. I'm going to keep them at full length to start. I get my hot glue, stick our little stuffed hearts onto this skewer, and then I go buy him some dog nail clippers. You can actually get dog nail clippers from Dollar Tree and they're amazing for cutting through skewers and just small pieces, so I'm going to cut that off above.
I should really work on my camera angles, you know, but you've got to do what you've got to do right, so I'm going to do one more since it was a little difficult, so I'm going to put in the skewer. You could also put the Spanish moss in first. never mind and again I didn't hot glue the skewer just because I knew I wanted to reuse all of this so I'm going to do the Spanish moss and yet I saw this as something similar to this on Pinterest. It was like a reshare of the original post so I don't know who to give credit to.
Sorry, but we're going to make this one a little longer, we're going to put some hot glue on the back of our heart. You can also use wood cut out hearts from Dollar Tree which is another great option. There are a lot of different things you can put in here, like hot spring glue, some bunnies in here or something you know, so there are tons of options you can do with these, if Valentine's Day isn't your thing, so again I'm going Cut off the top of the skewer once I know it's the length I want, easy PC, right guys?
So we're going to do a third one, I'm not sure. whether I show you that or not in case you didn't get it the first time, yeah, I decided to show you this instead of being cool with editing it and cropping it, so you're welcome, but you guys, this is going to be like this. Easy, all these

crafts

will be easy to do and this is how they turned out. In fact, I think I'm going to put them in my kitchen. Everything else in the family area is like that shabby chic decor. It would be nice to switch it up in the kitchen and use these traditional colors, but I love the simplicity of them and like I said, there's no hot glue so I might switch them out after Valentine's Day.
I'm going to have us try something new again so This is what I'm going to do, I know it's plaster repairs but I call it plaster Paris anyway, you take two parts plaster, one part cold water, so for me I used two cups of plaster, one cup of cold water and I'm just mixing it. with the bottom of the brush, but you're going to blend it until you have a nice smooth consistency and you want to work right away with it because it's going to dry eventually, so I'm going to grab some faux flowers from Dollar Tree and I'm going to dip them in plaster Paris .
This is the first time I've made them so it was a lot of trial and error, so I dip the flowers in there, try to get a pretty healthy layer and then twist them. To remove that excess, you don't want them to drown in the plaster because then it will literally flatten your flower. As you can see, I also left the stem as a good part of the stem so I could hold it up. and I don't have to stick my hands in there, I will say that for the project I was doing I wish I had chosen some smaller fake roses just so I could put more like a bundle on top of my jar instead of one and next time I want to try hanging them upside down so that they dry instead of putting them on this wax paper, this is what they look like once they dry and they dry super fast and you'll see that the flat part is where we put it on the wax. which you know is fine because we're going to put them on top of the jars anyway, but I wish I'd had bigger lids for my jars or smaller flowers, so taking thesejars that I bought from Dollar Tree during the fall season, I'm going to To paint this one with Serenity blue, I also painted one with chiffon and then the blush pink and then I painted them with some Rust-Oleum clear matte.
I think it helps the chalk stick better, there's less splintering and all that. It comes when you put chalk paint on glass. I'm also going to paint the tops with the corresponding colors and after that I take my rough sanding block from Dollar Tree and I'm going to hit all those edges on the glass. Now I'm just putting a coat of chalk paint here because I liked this streak that it gave it, that was just my preference, but everyone knows they do that and then we're going to move on to our flowers, so I cut them off and take the stems off. then cut that little piece off the back and like I said, they'll lay flat here.
I put it at the top. Now I see that this bathtub wouldn't look as pretty with a bunch of them here, but let's work with what we have next. I'm going to grab some

vintage

ones, these came from some really old thrift store flowers and I'm going to place them on the back just to give them as a gift, since it's just a rose. I knew I didn't want to leave her. like so, so I added these roses and I think they were the perfect color and leaf shape for the rose, so I'm going to play with the placement.
I'm going to do the same for each of my containers. so I'm not going to show you each one below. I take some scraps of my lace and my chiffon. I'm going to tie a cute basic bow around the top and then of course I have to hot glue a pearl between my little bows Bows just to give it an extra touch and you guys that's it look at this let's call them flowers from Paris, okay, or you could call them porcelain flowers, but I love them, I think they are absolutely stunning. and I can't wait to try more and more plaster of paris with different flowers.
So this is from Dollar Tree on XOXO. I'm going to paint it with our pink chalk paint, of course, now a technique because I'm just going to put this paint on the top of the sign. I don't do the sides and people sometimes ask how you don't put it right on the sides, as you can see when I'm painting down. I'm taking that brush down from below when I'm painting up I'm taking it up. I'm horrible at explaining how to paint things so now I grab transfers from Dollar Tree, you guys I love transfers. I think they are such a beautiful way to add a little extra juice to some projects, so we'll just have to use one sheet of the Dollar Tree transfer.
You can use a library card. Anything to soften them. I like to smooth them out and then peel them off. the paper while I'm doing it that way, if something is still stuck on our paper, I can sit back down and rub it a little bit more now um with this piece, like I said, I only used one sheet for everything, that's because I'm just going to take random points of this transfer and go over different sections of our o and our x's and our o's here so you can see I'm going to separate. I'm going to do like this little piece here.
I put the with this and this could be done with any of the transfers, um, so I'm going to finish that off and then we'll grab these Purl stickers from Dollar Tree. Now y'all, these are not only adhesive on the bottom, but they are sticky too. yucky yucky on top too so make sure you have a clean work area because everything and anything is going to stick to these things so I'm going to line this whole piece with these beads now it gets harder as it gets to these sections where the letters connect, but I promise you you can do it.
I even made the inside of the O's with the pearls too and it comes out looking so stunning, so I hope you were able to find them at your Dollar Tree. Actually, this is one of the last. year, okay, so once that's done, let's take our crown. I found two of these wreaths at a garage sale for a dollar each. Those somu, let's bring pipe cleaners. I just stapled them together, right? It doesn't matter if they're black because they won't show through at all and as you know I love some Grapevine wreaths because you can put flowers through them, they're great, they're the pipe cleaners, you don't have to use glue. so I can take this I turn the pipe cleaner over and cut off the excess. and we're done and you look how beautiful it is.
I have this in a reclaimed piece my dad gave me. I have some of my Vel swoops in the background with some old flowers, an old window, some silver reserves, everything shows. Very well put together I love it thank you all the next one is handmade so it looks like a toolbox I got from Savers again 2.99 and made a mistake. I cleaned it, I sanded it, I thought it would be fine, but you know what it is. old piece, I should have used my shellac, shellac is like a stain blocker, if you have wood knots, those don't come out.
I should have sprayed this whole toolbox with shellac because what happened was I went and painted all of this and then the tannins. and the oils started coming through the paint so just let me know if it's an old piece spray it with shellac so this paint is the diy paint I get recycled by brie.com. I'll link it below, this is Farm Fresh. It's an absolutely stunning clay based paint and as you can see as it dries it starts to get lighter and lighter so it won't stay as dark and it turns out absolutely beautiful so I'm going to paint everything but the sides of this one. toolbox and you'll see why we waited to make these sides.
We're going to use the IOD paint inlays which are brand new from IOD and what they are is essentially like this pattern here is paint like it's painted with flowers on this. piece of paper that we're going to transfer to our toolbox, so what I'm doing here is just placing it on the paper trying to get as many of those flowers as possible. I'm going to plot it. and then we're going to crop this image, you want to save all the extra paper because we could use it in other projects in the future and you guys just, I mean, you have this one.
IOD sent me this one and they sent I like a blue floral print too and I know they've come out with more since then, okay now let's get our paint. They have to work so fast that the paint has to be wet for this to work. work in smaller sections, if you are working on furniture you would have to cut the paper into pieces that way you could work in smaller sections as you can see I am still using farm fresh and this dries very quickly so I had to work super fast and then I'm going to take out that inlay, I'm going to put it face down, you don't want to play with the paper too much, you don't want it to be like rubbing it all over the place. so you put it in and then spray it with water.
Okay, I have a little spray bottle and then I'm going to wipe it down with a microfiber cloth. You're going to wait for it to dry. It could take 10 minutes, it could take 30 minutes. Mine took a little longer. I think it's because it was so cold in my basement, but you'll leave it alone. You'll know when it's dry because the paper turns white again, so after it dries. You're going to take the same little bottle of water, you're going to spray the paper, you really want it wet and you wait 30 seconds, then you're going to peel it off, okay, if you find that the paper is still sticking, you just spray a little bit. a little more water here now with this side, this was the first side I tried.
You could see that the flowers looked much more worn. I'll show you at the end, it reveals that the other side comes out much more vibrant. Save these pieces. of paper, guys, because you can reuse them over and over again, they won't be as vibrant, but you can still reuse them, so now, taking these molds that Vonda sent me as well, these are also from IOD, they had this beautiful hanging mold. with flowers and roses so I thought I had to be extra and add something else to the front since it's so simple so I'm just getting my IOD clay.
I'm putting it in my molds. I put cornstarch in there. so it doesn't stick to the mold you guys have to do it if you've never looked at the IOD stuff go check out Wanda's website seriously this is amazing so now I'm going to cut off that excess clay yeah yeah . Remove the clay, sorry for my big hairdo, now I'm going to take this pink chalk paint. I think it's folk art and I'm just focusing on all the raised edges of this pendant as well as the roses, the little bead work on the edges that I just wanted. this super light, super feminine and then we're going to take our Bond star thick adhesive and I'm just looking at this here.
I was very surprised that I have it quite in the middle and it just adds like that, that little touch that I needed it, I love it and this is what it turned out, look how beautiful this is again, the freshly made DIY paint farm, we have the painting on Lies, sorry, DIY painting, yeah, IOD and then just that little detail right there and look. You could see on this side how much more intensity the paint and the arrangement came out, but you guys, tell me what you think of these paint inlays. I think they are amazing.
Oh, and in fact, I also applied some white wax with a dry brush. let me know I was going to do it so first I have to show you Everett's color because he did that for us and he wanted me to show it to you but the silver at my Goodwill is always 50 off and I've had a collection of these They didn't know what I wanted to do with them and I saw that photo and I was like, "Oh my gosh, I finally have inspiration on what to do with them, so I'm going to use the green floral foam I just got." from Dollar Tree Everett is going to help us with this, he's home for the winter holidays right now so this selection is actually from Dollar Tree and it's a beautiful sage color with a pink blush and we'll be using a whole bouquet. of this and we're going to make sure that it looks as complete as possible and you'll see, Everett.
I try to show him like you look around to make sure there's no holes for him to really get into it and it starts like turning it over looking for missing spots where we need more and I would even turn around and say Mom we need, we need more, we need more for this one and Look how cute it was, look at this last one, I thought about it. he was accusing, he likes to turn it around and he really looks and tries to pay attention, it's so cute, then we grabbed some Spanish moss and we're going to stick it in there so you sure as hell can't see any of that green floral foam anywhere and I think it gives a little bit of a rustic feel to the um I was going to say potted plant they're definitely not potted and then guys I was having a hard time because I didn't have any smaller flowers and then I started remembering hi , you have all the flowers we've saved along the way, like basket arrangements, and my girl Brie, from upcycled by brie.com, showed in one of her videos that you could wash them with Dawn. dish soap, let them dry and I did it with all my secondhand flowers so I remembered I was like, "Oh my gosh, I have all those flowers there so I grabbed them and they had these beautiful roses there and then another one." The arrangement I'm going to show you at the end had these beautiful dried purple roses and burgundy flowers, and you guys, I put three of these arrangements together and look how stunning they turned out, like they looked beautiful on a dresser with books on a shelf. a mantle I mean anywhere these would fit perfectly and the flower arrangements you can make with them are absolutely endless and if you have a stand these will be great sellers for you okay we all know what they are. the little things at Dollar Tree and you like life.
I'm flying full time while crafting. I sit and have no idea what I'm doing. I start with a piece like this and then it goes in a totally different way, so you guys. I'll see it in a minute so this is Seashell Pink from Folk Art, it's a matte acrylic paint and you guys know I use my chalk paint most of the time but this color rocked me quite a bit, the coverage was amazing too. It really dried to a beautiful matte, almost like a chalk paint, and I was very impressed, so I'm going to paint this shell pink and then I'm going to grab these floor samples from Home Depot, they're absolutely free.
Pull yourself up a little bit, don't be greedy, okay, and you'll see right here, right here, it's a floor sample, so it's a vinyl floor sample, it has the wood grain texture. I'm going to paint the front and sides with the pink. I'm going to go ahead and let it dry and then we're going to take our Bond star again and we're going to attach it to the front. Now they could have been double sided, but I wasn't thinking. So I was way ahead when I made them, you know, um, so I can still, I guess, so I'm going to attach this to the front, okay, and I wanted to cover the letters and then that way the back turned out pretty and soft, so again.
I'm taking the second one and I'm going to paint this on plaster. I wish I had three. They know that I like itI buy things in groups of three when I go to Dollar Tree, but I guess I must have used one of these for something. so again we're going to do the same thing, we're going to take another one of those floor samples, we're going to paint it with gesso, then I'm going to take the rough sanding block from Dollar Tree and I'm going to scrape this up and you guys because of that you like the texture of the bead, this gave me the most beautiful worn look ever, so we're going to hot glue it on, you know how to do that, so I'm going to take This twine is like a red and tan color and I'm going to twist it.
I thought, how do I get it to overlap on only one side so I can cover it with the heart? It took me a minute. Okay, but we figured it out, so I'm going to wrap it up and then we're going to hot glue it to the back. Look, I feel like this could have been double-sided and I could have made it look better. and then I made the back like St. Patrick's Day or something, so I'm going to grab these Dollar Tree Hearts. I'm going to go over the red because they were too bright for my taste compared to the twine and then I'm going to hit them with some antique wax around the edges.
I think it will help you. I know they pop a little bit and I'm going to apply one of them to the view where they overlap each other. I'm going to cover that and then I'm going to rub the Dollar Tree transfers. Now I know a lot of you say you can't find transfers, there are options, you can use your own calligraphy, you can use the Mod Podge transfer, you can do the pencil transfer wherever you want, scribble on the back of a printout and then trace it so there are other options and Dollar Tree has tons of letter stencils so that's another option but I chose the transfers because I had them and I was trying not to use vinyl because let's face it I was being lazy and I'm going to rub these in here and we're going out with XOXO for the plaster color.
I'm going to make the heart red and I'm going to overlay that heart with a piece of raw wood as well. I just wanted them to see each other. like a little bit different from each other and then I'll go back to the transfers and we're going to put hugs here and you can put anything, you can put kisses, what are some other words? words down, that's all I came up with and then I said, uh, what else would you put in there? You could put names that might be cute, so I'm going to go ahead and put the rest of these here, man.
I always think I do a great job editing and then I like to do my voiceovers and I'm like a girl, they didn't need to see all this, that's how they came out. These will also go in my kitchen. I wish I had a coffee corner or something, you know, but this I'll find a place for you. I think they're super cute, look at that distressing thing here, oh, I love these ones that are going to go pick up vacant flats, so stop this. The next DIY we're going to use is a piece of Michael's wood that I'm going to use.
I think this was lamp white in the mineral fusion paints and I'm going to cover the front, back and sides with this alone. i made a layer because i saw the wood grain was coming out a little bit and i was digging it up so for this one we're going to use the folk art um rub on transfers which you can get on plaid.com if i could find this one exactly i would definitely I'll link below, so for the folk art one it doesn't say you have to clean it with anything, so I thought, "Okay, I'll try this one, I won't put the polyacrylic on first." I'm just cutting out my pieces trying to play with the placement here, see what I like and then we'll do the same thing we did with everyone else we placed them on.
I'm going to use my scraper. I'm going to take my time to make sure my graph is down and it's going to stay there for you to see. I'll start lifting one side and go slowly to make sure everything is okay. the board and it's not glued to my paper so you can see little by little and then I take our largest piece which is these beautiful flowers and I'm going to do the same thing that I won't do to you Watch me do all this because look, I'm watching a damn movie , you guys are fine, which I shouldn't be doing because then it takes me 10 times longer to make a craft.
I think this whole DIY thing took me about two hours. I'm not kidding, so now that I have all my transfers, I'm going to grab my water-based polyacrylic. I'm going to put two coats on the front because this is going to be a tray so I want it to be very durable and then I'm going to put one coat on the back and we're going to go ahead and let it dry and then I'm going to remove these cup pulls that I bought at Hobby Lobby 50, so I think they were like two dollars each and they were too yellow for me, so I ended up painting them those same whites and then I'm going to put them on top of our piece of wood, put some screws in there and screw them in.
I paint the screws the same color as our handles to make everything cohesive. I wouldn't just leave that money and you guys look how beautiful this looks girl, look at that and the thing is you can't tell these are robots at all, it just looks like a part. from One Piece are absolutely stunning and so easy to work with that they're not for everyone, so I'll put that link, but I had them, of course, at Goodwill. I usually just buy them, but they're 50 off, so they were a dollar fifty each. I'm going to take our Serenity blue and we're going to go ahead and give it two coats of paint and you know if you have old chandeliers like oak ones, they're fine, just take them out. we know some of you have them out there okay and if you don't go to your Goodwill to see what days they have like their 50 days off or not the colors are 50 off okay I just had to show you that box of the mica powder those are from arteza they sent them to me a long time ago ok anyway now im going to take the clear wax again you want a light amount it doesn't have to be an outrageous amount this will help seal your chalk paint and is also I'm going to help with the mica powder that we're about to put in here, so I put it in.
It was called, I think, white gold, so it looks white, but then when the light reflects off it, it looks gold, so I tried it with you guys, you don't like it. Filming isn't my job or anything, but I do a pretty good job of showing you what I'm doing. I've never said it before. I'm so sorry I'm not showing it to you but I tried to apply it with my finger I tried to apply it without wax but for some reason it didn't turn out as good as with the flower so I ended up applying the wax again pat it dry like a towel of paper and then I applied Mica. powder wherever you see fit um for me I tried to hit like all those um what am I trying to say slot edges and then I thought I think it needs a little bit more so I added more uh now I'm just taking a little bit of lace I cut it off , I'm just going to tie them a double knot.
I tried a bow, but it didn't work, so I left it with the double knot and then, taking an older DIY, I'll pluck the flowers. top with these little uh P, they're not peonies, they're peonies, right, right, and then I'll just hot glue them on and you guys, like I said, do you like to use different flowers? Put some pearls here. Change the color if not. It's not like Serenity blue, the options are absolutely endless, so guys, I really hope you enjoyed this video. I was trying to give them more. They know. I know Valentine's Day is coming up, but I know not everyone celebrates Valentine's Day, so it's more romantic.
Shabby chic, uh, DIY that maybe you could include in your decor and these colors will also bring you into spring, so you can leave them out a little bit more anyway, it's okay for this one. I'm grabbing this Dollar Tree sign. Guys, it took me a long time to remove the back of this and then I realized they had nailed it with little tiny nails and I thought, well, that was our problem, so I'm going to clean this up now that I was out of scrapbook paper. of cuts. Not at all, they were like traditional colors, so what I did was I took this velvet scrapbooking paper.
Obviously it wasn't the color I wanted, so I'm going to paint it with that shell paint color. Sorry guys, I'm out of breath. a cro I crawl down the stairs, basically, that's what you were doing, so after I completely cover these, these are completely covered, I just take my heat gun and dry it. You know, is it the perfect pink color? I would like to go with this, no. but you know what worked, we made it work and that's what crafting is all about so I'm going to take a good coat of mod podge because this is a thicker scrapbook paper that I'm going to roll up help me help me Tom Cruise um.
I'm going to brush that off and then my Nifty Mod Podge scraper and, oh, excuse me, then I'm going to put it back on the frame. How to hot glue it just a little. I'm going to What are we doing? Then, okay, taking the metal heart from Dollar Tree, now all these burlap roses are from Dollar Tree, yeah, the girl thought she had enough to fill the whole thing, so at first I start going in, you have to cut the part off them bottom just because they were taller than the actual metal heart so I didn't want them to stick out too much so that took a little work, maybe your hands would hurt a little but I started gluing them and at first I said okay , I'll just randomly put them in there and then I start looking at my flowers and I'm like, oh, who are you going to have enough of?
And this is where I say, just make it work, like you'll figure it out along the way, if that's the case. If it doesn't go as planned, you'll find another way to make it look beautiful and work for you, so I start alternating colors around the edge and this is here. I think, "This isn't going to work." I had already hot glued that guy, so I thought, "Okay, I'm going to put heat on the back, it came off right away. I ended up buying Spanish moss and just filling it in the middle again. This is for me, like this I didn't do it." I didn't hot glue the Spanish moss, if I were to put this on my stand of course I would put it on but I did it that way and I think it looks just as good, you can even fill them oh fill the middle with pearls I would have done it.
It was pretty too so I made a hole in the top, I already had some string tied to it so I just took it out and knotted it and here we go, let me know what you think about it or what you would have done maybe to like it. the back like instead of the scrapbook paper is I don't know, I mean, we made it work, didn't we? This is a frame I bought at a garage sale for 25 cents if you guys don't go to the garage or garage sales you are missing out on. I cleaned it now.
I'm taking my half crackle. There are four chalk paints and they are in the link to my Amazon store. I'm taking my chip brush and what they want to do is focus on just putting like one stroke of your brush on the frame so you don't want to keep going over it and working on itself, it works

best

when you just apply it in one stroke and then you can leave it. let it air dry or if you want more crunch, you're going to apply heat to it, which is what I end up doing because I love a little crunch, okay, so you can see here, apply that heat gun that I'm going to set up. this to the side and just let it finish you don't want it sticky or anything and we're going to work on our next piece so grab these Grapevine uh Hearts from Dollar Tree Spanish moss please tell me why I grabbed this plate like I did some kind of difference because you could still see it everywhere, not the plate, but you know, in my head I thought it was making my life easier, so I'm going to hot glue the Spanish moss to these Grapevine hearts.
I'm going to make three in total. I'm just pressing them down. You want to make sure you get the sides as well because since we're hanging them, the sides will show and don't worry if it doesn't look like a heart right now. because we will fix this now, this is the opportunity if you ever wanted to become a stylist, cut, cut, cut, right here you are going to style this, you are going to trim it, we want to get that shape back so make sure you do it. Cutting as close to the heart as possible so you really get that heart shape, then I take the three hearts outside and paint them with a cream colored spray paint, that's fine and it worked really well so now that's dry.
I'm taking my pink chalk paint and again you just want to try to make a sweep of your brush over your already cracked frame, if you keep going over the same spot it's not going to give you the effect that you want so I'm going to I'm going to cover the inside and outside and how lucky I was that this frame was already this beautiful turquoise color that we've been working with so once it's dry we'll grab our hearts look at that color it's exactly like the color we needed , so I'm tying some gauze to our hearts.
I play around with the placement, so you see, I'm going to attach this to the back just using an old school stapler, nothing fancy, you could even hot glue it on. then I'll tie that gauze into a knot around the staple to make sure it doesn't go anywhere, cut off the excess now I'm going to turn it over and over, you play, you need to play with the placement so I know exactly where to put them if you listen to someoneCome on girl, look, you just filmed two intros in one day, like mom was having a good day, now you really have to do it.
I work and I like to DIY so let's look at how to do that and then let's pat ourselves on the back okay that sounds good bye guys how to start this thing about lighting looks like I got into about 10 bottles of sunless tanning lotion . What is this thing called sunless tanning? This is how I see myself getting my nose watery every time and then trying not to ruin your makeup. What I was going to say is that this is what I looked like before I started starting my photo shoots, freezing in this basement, my dungeon that I call my craft for my dungeon because I have two windows that lead to the metal and then one that the owners previous ones put up like a freezing cloudy thing so you can't even see outside, look at my Savers shirt, what's up?
Look at that, hey, hey, motherhood. Things aren't pretty, so I buy a size larger than I would normally wear and make sure it's long enough since I'm a tall woman, okay?
