. I bought it today at a pawn shop for about 10 dollars. I was able to convince them a little bit, literally, just pick this up and what we're going to do is a little bit of restoration and I'm going to sharpen it so it's very dull now, but this will turn it into an old Schrade. so I'm going to show you a couple of things that do it and you'll see that even with this sheath I'll try to clean it up a little bit every time you see these little phrases like that this is just a lighter and look you can do this with leather too much.

I'm going to spray this all down and try to clean it up a little bit. It has some rough spots, as you can see, I won't be able to get it all out. This is just a cleaner. You can do this after you're done or you can do it now, but you only take a little bit of this. a few clean rags just do a little dab a little bit on each side like this put the lid back take your rag just put it in you can see I'm already recovering quite a bit the other side will have to do that a few I'm going to do that a few times hmm, those things smell bad, but this type of polish works very well.

Alright guys, we're looking at the next sequence which is 400 grit, so again I'm going to start. Always tighten the knobs at the bottom just to make sure you're at the same level, make it very smooth, just forget about that 400 feeling.

I do about 25 strokes of 400, you can get an idea of ​​what that looks like. It looks a little more refined. I'm going to go to 600. Sometimes I try with my thumbnail if it catches. You know it's pretty safe. If it doesn't catch on, then you need to keep working on it a little bit. Okay, let's move on. at 600, about 50 strokes on each side, you can go longer, we're going to move to 800 and 1000, so I know this might go out of focus if I'm sorry, but I'm doing the best I can with the cameras and it's very difficult so this is 800 this is going to start with that mirror.

I like to work up and down a little bit and just cross the toe once or twice, do it a couple of times on each side and then you can start the progression, okay. what the hatching pattern looks like after 800 grit so that's after 800 grit okay we'll go to mil if it fades I'll refocus it sorry ahead of time mil should refine it even more starting to get a lot of time . better again, this is a thousand. I'm going to use just one more hair. I'm going to take a clean cloth and just wipe down my white, my mil, in case there's any residue left and of course once you're done, you're going to want to clean up. these but okay we're done with a thousand and you can tell it's reflecting a little bit more so that's great let's move on to the next stage okay guys we're at 1500 so these are all the diamonds So far all I've been using has been diamonds, this one is 1500 grit so let's keep the progression going, you can see the sound it makes is a lot smoother, it looks like it looks pretty good, go for it. a little more to complete 1500, so now we will move on to the next stage.

Alright guys we're on the next stage 2200 so I got 2200 diamonds and I'm just going to touch one side a little bit and do the same thing. on the other, now I'm going to start the sequence very carefully so as not to ruin this. A little bit more on the tip, it's hard to see from this angle, but I'm going to focus on that tip a little bit. Flip them over just so the other side goes forward and that helps break the stone accurately quite well. Now I'm going to move on to 3000, starting to polish a lot more, which is good for 3000, as you can see it's quite a bit more mirrored, now we'll move on to the next stage as now the diamond lapping films are rounded and I'm starting with six microns, you just go with these like this, this will really start to put them here. That's the end of 6 microns, now we're going to go to 3 microns, which is right on the other side that I have. 3 micron lapping films on this side. I'll wipe it one more time with another clean cloth, much better. Now I'm going to move on to the next stage, so we end up with three microns, since this is one of the last stages that Now we are on one micron diamond lapping films and just continue with this sequence, keep moving away from the edge and this gives it the prettiest mirror and it will only work if you made the previous stages perfect.

Does it look pretty good? a little better, okay, I'm going to use a team. I'm going to clean it now. I'm going to move on to the last stage, this is half a micron, 1/2 micron, okay guys, that's pretty much it. I haven't tested the sharpness yet, you can see the edge is almost completely mirror, with a mirror finish, it's really very sharp, now come on. to go back to the best test measurement and we're going to put in a new clip and see what the improvement is from when we originally tested it, okay, there it is, let's see how sharp it was. able to get it 97 right without wasting too much time we go from 1202, we're way up where the edge was severely rolled and we get it down to less than a hundred, which is like a double edge. razor, so I'll take that any day of the week.
