Hey guys, first of all, I just want to thank Scott and all of you for allowing me to come and speak today. I'm going to talk about what ym is. what that did in my life and why it usually represents your youth with the mission, but that doesn't mean just using OK, that means it can be anyone 18 years old and up, it can be nine years old or 18, no. matter um I did my discipleship training school last April and I was one of the first students there were only five students and I was one of the youngest um there were two guys who were 21 and then 21 and up um but I had five months Reconnect with God in many ways, so the DT lasts five months and the first three months are pretty much a conference phase and that's where you learn more about God and his character and a lot of different things and then both.

Months later when you go to outreach activities and then you practice what you've learned, but it impacted me in many ways because I'm originally from Bulgaria and I was adopted when I was almost 15, so it was like eight years ago and now I'm 21, so that I came to a different country, a different family, a different language, everything was new. I didn't know anything and I didn't know God, but I remember when I was in foster care every night. I didn't cry Pride I prayed and asked God I promise that if you give me a family I will never be bad again I will never speak evil against teachers I can't listen and all these things and I prayed that prayer as if I didn't even know that there is a God and I remember having laid in my bed one time and just being like who created the trees, who created the sky, like just wondering who God was but I didn't know and you know, I was adopted and I learned the language and I became a believer and when I was 16 years at a

camp and I realized that you can come as you are, that you don't have to be as perfect and clean as the person to go to God, you can be whoever you are. you are and just go with him the youlove who you are and that's why That really hit me and that's when I realized I wanted to be a believer but for almost all of high school I knew God in my head but never in my heart so I thought I knew Him, but it's like I don't really know him.

I know him, I just knew about him and growing up without a father. God to me was that bad, uh, he just wasn't a very good person and I just didn't want to be in that relationship, so during my DTS, I learned that as God. like the father, he is loving and kind, he loves and pursues and never leaves us, and that is something that really impacted me and, in addition, I like to understand how to listen to God because God can speak in many ways. and I didn't know it and one of the ways he talks to me a lot of times is like in my thoughts I have never heard his audible voice but I know he does that to different people but to me it was more like his thought and I what he thinks and then I will just listen that it doesn't make sense to describe it, but it's like he speaks with a lot of voice and with my DTS I learned to listen to his voice. and what it has to say about certain things and my future and what it holds, but I wanted to show you the video a little bit about what y1 is and then we'll come back to this, so it's because of the mission. youth with the mission or why Wham is a global movement of Christians dedicated to knowing God and making God known why women began in 1960 as a way to involve youth in missions, we still do it today but we are involved in every type of ministry you can imagine.

Is it possible to change this mentality and adopt the mentality of the spirit? I mean no matter where you are today no matter what negative thought you are walking in critical thinking no matter how hard you are on yourself or how hard you are on others, you know what Luke 18 27 says, what is impossible for man is possible for God, that is why we want to adopt this mentality of the spirit.
