The prophets who were before you are the salt of the earth, but if salt loses its flavor, how can it become salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown and trampled. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden, nor do you light a lamp and put it under a container, but it is placed on a pedestal and illuminates all those who are in the house, in the same way let your light shine shine before others so they can see. your good works and glorify your father who is in heaven do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them in truth I tell you until heaven and earth disappear not even the slightest letter nor the slightest stroke of a pen will disappear from the law until everything is fulfilled, therefore, whoever sets aside one of these smallest commandments and teaches others accordingly, will be called the least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commandments will be called great in the kingdom of heaven for I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven you have heard that it was told to the people a long time ago not to murder and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment but I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment again anyone who tells a brother or sister Raka sister is responsible before the court and anyone who calls you a fool will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Therefore, if you are offering your offering at the altar and there you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your offering there in front of the altar. first go and reconcile with them then come and offer your gift settle things quickly with your adversary who takes you to court do it while they are still together on the road or your adversary will hand you over to the judge and the judge will hand you over to the officer and you will be thrown into prison, I truly tell you that you will not come out until you have paid the last penny.
You have heard that it was said that you will not commit adultery, but I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart, if you right eye makes you stumble, take it out and throw it away, it is better for you to lose a part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell and if your right hand makes you stumble, cut yourself off. Take it off and throw it away. It is better that you lose a part of your body than that your whole body goes to hell.
It has been said that anyone who divorces his wife must give him a divorce certificate, but I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her a victim of adultery and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery again. You have heard that it was said to the people a long time ago, do not break your oath but fulfill to the Lord the oaths that you have taken but I tell you that do not swear at all either by heaven because it is the throne of god or by earth because it is his footstool or by jerusalem because it is the cityof the great king and do not swear by your head because you cannot make even a hair white or black, all you need to say is simply yes or no, nothing beyond this comes from the evil one, you have heard it said an eye for an eye and tooth.for tooth but I tell you don't resist an evil person if someone slaps you on the right cheek turn the other cheek too and if someone wants to sue you and takes your shirt hand over your coat also if someone forces you to go one mile go with them two miles give to the one who asks you and do not turn your back on the one who wants to borrow from you you have heard that it was said love your neighbor and hate your enemy but I tell you to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you so that you may be children of your father who is in heaven he makes his son rise above the evil and the good and sends rain on the just and the unjust if you love those who love you what reward will you get not even the tax collectors They do that and if they greet only their own who do more than the others, not even the pagans do that.
Be perfect, just as your heavenly father is perfect. Matthew chapter 6, be careful not to practice your justice in front of others to be seen by them, If you do, you will have no reward from your father in heaven, so when you give to those in need, do not announce it with trumpets as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to be honored by others. They will tell you that they have received their full reward but when you give to the needy do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing so that your giving will be in secret then your father who sees what is done in secret will reward you and when you pray do not be like the hypocrites because they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets to be seen by others.
Truly I tell you that they have received their full reward but when you pray go into your room close the door and pray to your father who is in secret then your father who sees what is done in secret will reward you and when you pray do not continue babbling like pagans because they think they will be heard for their many words do not be like them because your father knows what you need before ask him this is how you should pray our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive our debts as we have also forgiven our debtors and do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one because if you forgive others when they sin against you, your heavenly father will also forgive you but if you do not forgive others their sins, your father will not forgive your sins when you fast do not see yourself gloomy as the hypocrites do who disfigure their faces to show others that they are truly fasting I tell you that they have received their full reward but when you fast put oil on your head and wash face yourself so that it is not obvious to others that you are fasting, but only for your father, who is not seen, and your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Do not store up treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy. and where thieves enter and steal, but store up treasures in heaven where moths and vermin do not destroy, where thieves do not enter and steal, because where your treasure is, there your heart will also be. The eye is the lamp of the body, if your eyes are healthy. your whole body will be full of light but if your eyes are not healthy your whole body will be full of darkness if then the light inside you is darkness how great is that darkness no one can serve two masters neither will you hate one and love the other or you will be devoted to one and despise the other, you cannot serve God and money, that is why I tell you not to worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, nor about your body, what you will wear, it is nothing more than life. food and the body more than clothing look at the birds of the air that do not sow or harvest or store in barns and yet your heavenly father feeds them, are you not much more valuable than any of you can be by caring? add a single hour to your life and why do you worry about clothes look how the flowers of the field grow they do not work or spin yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor dressed like one of these and if that is how God dresses the grass of the field that is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, much more will not clothe you with little faith, so do not worry about what we will eat or what we will drink or what we will wear.
The pagans run after all these things and your heavenly father. He knows that you need them but seek first his kingdom and his justice and all these things will be given to you too so do not worry about tomorrow tomorrow will worry about itself every day he has enough of his own problems Matthew chapter 7 do not judge or you too You will be judged because in the same way that you judge others you will be judged and with the measure you use it will be measured to you why you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and do not pay attention to the beam in your own eye, how can you say to your brother let me take the speck out of your eye when all the time there is a log in your own eye, hypocrite, first take the board from your own eye and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye don't give up. to the dogs what is sacred do not throw your pearls to the pigs, if you do, they will trample them and turn and destroy you. ask for pieces and it will be given to you seek and you will find knock and the door will be opened to you because everyone who asks receives he who seeks finds and to the one who knocks on the door it will be opened which of you, if it is your child, asks for bread, you will give him a stone or yes. ask for a fish he will give him a snake if you then although you are bad you know how to give good gifts to your children the more your father who is in heaven will give good gifts to those who ask that in everything you do to others what you would like them to do to you you because this summarizes the law and the prophets enter through the narrow gate because wide is the gate and broad is the path that leads to destruction and many enter through it but small is the gate and narrow is the path that leads to life and only A few find it, be careful with false prophets, they come to you in sheep's clothing but inside they are ferocious wolves by their fruits.
You will recognize them if people pick grapes from thorns or figs from thistles. Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit but A bad tree bears bad fruit, a good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit; will enter the kingdom of heaven but only he who does the will of my father who is in heaven, many will tell me on that day, sir, sir, do we not prophesy? in your name and in your name cast out demons and in your name do many miracles then I will tell you clearly I never knew you evildoers far from me that is why everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house The rain fell on the rock, streams arose and the winds blew and beat against that house but it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock but everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who He built his house on sand the rain fell the streams rose and the wind blew and beat against that house and it fell with a great crash when Jesus finished saying these things the crowd was amazed at his teaching because he taught as someone who had authority not as his teachers of the law matthew chapter 8 when jesus came down from the mountainside large crowds followed him a man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said lord if you want you can cleanse me jesus stretched out his hand and touched the man i am willing he said be clean immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy then Jesus said to him, see that you do not tell anyone but go show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses ordered as a testimony for them when Jesus had entered Capernaum a centurion came to him asking for help sir said my servant lies at home paralyzed suffering terribly Jesus told him I will come to heal him the centurion responded sir I do not deserve that you come down my roof but just say the word my servant will be healed because I myself am a man under authority with soldiers under me I tell this one to go and he goes and to that one he comes and he comes I tell my servant to do this and he does it.
When Jesus heard this he marveled and said to those who truly followed him, I tell you that I have not found no one in Israel with so much faith. I tell you that many will come from the east and the west and will take their places alongside. feast with abraham isaac and jacob in the kingdom of heaven, but the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown out into the darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, so Jesus said to the centurion, go and let it be done just as you thought it would be . and his servant was healed at that moment when Jesus entered Peter's house he saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever he touched her hand and the fever left her and she got up and began to attend to him when the evening came many demon-possessed They were brought before him and he drove out the spirits with the word and healed all the sick.
This was so that what was said by the prophet Isaiah would be fulfilled. He took our illnesses and carried our illnesses. When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross. On the other side of the lake, a teacher of the law approached him and said, teacher, I will follow you wherever you go. Jesus answered, the foxes have dens and the birds have nests, but the son of man has nowhere to go. Another disciple laid his head. He said to him, Lord, first let me go and bury my father, but Jesus told him, follow me and let the dead bury their own dead.
Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly, a furious storm arose on the lake so that the The waves swept away the boat but Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him up saying, Lord, save us, we are going to drown. He responded, you people of little faith, why are you so afraid? Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and the men were

ly calm. They were amazed and asked what kind of man this is, until the winds and waves obeyed him. When he arrived at the other side of the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men who came from the tombs found him.
They were so violent that no one could pass by. What do you want with him? We, son of God, shouted, "You have come here to torture us before the appointed time. At some distance from them, a large herd of pigs was feeding the demons. They begged Jesus if you would lead us away, send us to the herd of pigs. He told them to They went, then they went out and got into the pigs and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank towards the lake and died in the water, those who were taking care of the pigs fled and went to the city.
And he told all this, including what had happened to the demoniacs. Then all the people went out to meet Jesus and when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region. Matthew Chapter Nine: Jesus got into a boat, crossed over and some men from the town came to his place. They brought him a paralytic lying on a stretcher when Jesus saw his faith he said to the man, take heart, son, your sins are forgiven, in this some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, this guy is blaspheming knowing his thoughts Jesus said why do you have bad thoughts in your hearts which is easier to say that your sins are forgiven or to say get up and walk but I want you to know that the son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins so he said to the paralyzed man get up take your stretcher and go home then the The man got up and went to his house.
When the crowd saw this, they were filled with everyone and praised God who had given such authority to the man. While Jesus passed by, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's table. Follow me. He told him and Matthew got up and followed him while Jesus was dining at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and sinners came in with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples why your teacher eats with the tax collectors and the disciples. sinners upon hearing this Jesus said it is not the healthy who need a doctor but those who are sick but go and learn what this means I desire mercy not sacrifice because I have not come to call the righteous but sinners then the disciples of John came and told him They asked how it is that we Pharisees fast many times but your disciples do not fast Jesus answered how can the bridegroom's guests cry while he is with them the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them then they will fast, no one will sew a patch of new cloth on an old dress because the patch will come off the dress, making the tear worse, nor will they put new wine into old wineskins, if they do, the wineskins will break and the wine will run out. and the wineskins will be ruined, no, they put new wine into new wineskins and both are preserved.
While he was saying this, a leader of the synagogue came and knelt before him and said, my daughter has just died, but come and put your hand on her and she will live. . Jesus got up and went with him and his disciples also at that time a woman who had been bleeding for 12 years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, she said to herself, if I just touch his cloak I will be Jesus healed. He returned and saw her cheer up daughter, he said your faith has healed you and the woman was healed at that moment when Jesus entered the house of the leader of thesynagogue and saw the noisy crowd and the people playing flutes he said go away, the girl is not dead but asleep but they laughed at him after the crowd was thrown out he went in and took the girl by the hand and she got up the news of this It spread throughout that region as Jesus passed away two blind men followed him shouting: mercy for a son of David when he had entered the house, the blind man approached him and asked them if they believe I can do this, yes, sir, they They responded, then he touched their eyes and said according to their faith, so be it.
Jesus sternly warned them that no one knows about this, but they went out and spread the news about him throughout that region. While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not speak was brought to Jesus and when the demon was cast out, the man who had been mute spoke, the crowd was amazed and said that nothing like this has ever happened. It has never been seen in Israel, but the Pharisees said that it is because of the prince of demons who expels the demons. compassion on them because they were afflicted and helpless like sheep without a shepherd then he said to his disciples the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, ask the owner of the harvest to send workers to his harvest field Matthew chapter 10 Jesus called his twelve disciples and gave them authority to cast out impure spirits and heal all sickness and disease.
These are the names of the twelve apostles. First, Simon, whose name is Peter, and his brother, Andrew James, son of Zebedee, and his brother, John Philip. and Bartholomew Thomas and Matthew the tax collector James son of Alphaeus and Thaddaeus Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him these twelve Jesus sent with the following instructions: do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of Samaritans, but rather go to the lost sheep of israel as you go proclaim this message the kingdom of heaven has come near heal those who are sick raise the dead cleanse those who have leprosy cast out demons freely you have received freely give do not get gold or silver or copper to take with you you on your belts, no bag for the trip, no extra shirt, no sandals, no cane for the worker who is worth staying in any town or village you enter, look for some worthy person there and stay in his house until you leave when you enter. in the house give it your greeting if the home deserves it let your peace rest in it if it is not let your peace return to you if someone does not receive you or listen to your words leave that home or town and shake off the dust of Your feet of truth I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment for that people I send you like sheep in the midst of wolves, therefore, be as clever as snakes and as innocent as doves, be on your guard, you will be handed over.
In the local councils and scourged in the synagogues for my sake you will be brought before the governors and kings as witnesses before them and before the Gentiles but when they arrest you do not worry about what to say or how to say it at that time you will be given what to say because It will not be you who speaks but the spirit of your father speaking through you brother will betray his brother to death and a father his children will rebel against their parents and kill them you will be hated by all because of me but he who perseveres until the end will be saved when you are persecuted in one place flee to another truly I tell you that you will not finish traveling through the towns of Israel before the son of man comes the student is not above the teacher nor a servant more than his master, enough Let the students be like their teachers and the servants like their masters, if the head of the family has been called Beelzebub, how much more so are the members of his house, so do not fear them because there is nothing. hidden that will not be revealed or hidden that will not be known but I tell you in the darkness speak in the light of day what is whispered in your ear proclaim from the rooftops do not be afraid of those who kill the body but can no longer kill the soul Well, be afraid of him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Two sparrows are not sold for a penny, but none of them will fall to the ground without your father's care, and even the very hairs on your head are all numbered, so don't do it. Do not fear that you are worth more than many sparrows. He who recognizes me before others, I will also recognize him before my father in heaven, but he who disowns me before others, I will disown him before my father in heaven. Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth I did not come to bring peace but a sword because I have come to set a man against his father a daughter against her mother a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law the enemies of a man will be the members of his own house he who loves his father or his mother more than me, he who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me, he who does not take up his cross and follows me is not worthy of me, he who finds his life is not worthy of me.
He will lose it and whoever loses his life for me will find it. He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me. He who receives a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and he who receives a righteous man. as a righteous man he will receive a righteous man's reward and if anyone gives even a glass of cold water to one of these little ones who is my true disciple, I tell you that that person will certainly not lose his reward matthew chapter 11. after jesus had finished instructing His twelve disciples went from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee.
When John, who was in prison, learned of the works of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to ask him: Are you the one who is to come or should we wait? Someone else answered Jesus return and tell John what you hear and see the blind receive sight the lame walk those who have leprosy are cleansed death here the dead rise and the good news is proclaimed to the poor blessed is he who did not stumble for my sake Cause as John's disciples were leaving Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John. Why did you go out into the desert to see a reed swaying in the wind if not why did you go out to see a man dressed in fine clothes?
No, those who wear fine clothes are in the palaces of kings, so why did you go out to see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet, this is the one about whom it is written. I will send my messenger ahead of you who will prepare you long before you. Truly I tell you, among those born of women, no one greater than John the Baptist has been resurrected; however, the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than him. From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence. and violent people have been attacking him through all the prophets and the law prophesied until john and if you are willing to accept it he is the elias who was to come whoever has ears who will listen to what can I compare this generation to they are like children sitting in the squares and calling the others we played the flute for you and you did not dance we sang a funeral song and you did not cry because Juan came he neither ate nor drank and they say he has a demon the son of man came eating and drinking and they say here is a glutton and a drunken friend of publicans and sinners but wisdom is proven by his deeds then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed because they did not repent woe to you heart woe to you Bethsaida because if the miracles that were done in you they would have been done in Tire and Satan would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes but I tell you that it will be more bearable for Tire and Sidon on the day of judgment that for you and your capernaum you will be elevated to the heavens you will not descend to the hades because if the miracles that were done in you had been done in sodom it would have remained to this day but I tell you that it will be more bearable for sodom on the day of judgment than for you at that time Jesus said I praise you father lord of the heaven and earth because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to little children yes father because this is what you were pleased to do all things have been entrusted to me by my father no one knows the son except the father and no one knows the father except the son and those to whom the son decides to reveal him come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am meek and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls because my yoke is easy and my burden is light Matthew chapter 12 At that time Jesus was going through the fields on the Sabbath.
His disciples were hungry and began to pluck some ears of grain and eat them. When the Pharisees saw this they said to him, look, your disciples are Doing the unlawful thing on the Sabbath he replied, "You haven't read what?" David did when he and his companions were hungry he entered the house of God and he and his companions made consecrated bread which was not lawful for them to make except only for the priests or have they not read in the law that the priests in duty on the Sabbath in The temple desecrates the Sabbath and yet they are innocent, I tell you that there is something greater than the temple here.
If they had known what these words mean, I wish for mercy, not sacrifice, they would not have condemned the innocent because the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath, passing from that Instead he entered their synagogue and there was a man with a withered hand looking for a reason to press charges against Jesus and they asked him if it is lawful to heal on the Sabbath. He told them if any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath. Won't you take it and take it out? How much more valuable a person is than a sheep, that's why it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
So he said to the man, "Stretch out," he stretched out his hand and extended it and it was

ly restored just like the other one, but the Pharisees went out and plotted how to kill Jesus, knowing After this Jesus withdrew from that place, a large crowd followed him and healed everyone who was there. evil warned them not to speak of him to others this was so that what was said by the prophet Isaiah would be fulfilled here is my servant whom I have chosen the one I love in whom I delight I will put my spirit on him and he will proclaim justice to the nations they will not quarrel nor will they shout, no one will hear his voice in the streets, he will not break the bruised reed and he will not extinguish the smoking wick until he has brought justice to victory in his name, the nations will place their hope then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute And Jesus healed him so that he could speak and see.
All the people were amazed and said, Could this be David's son? But when the Pharisees heard this, they said it. It is only through Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons. Jesus knew his thoughts and told them: Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined and every city or house divided against itself will not stand if Satan drives out Satan against whom it is divided. himself, how then can his kingdom be sustained? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? Then they will be your judges, but if it is by the spirit of God that I cast out the demons, then the kingdom of God has or again, how can anyone enter the house of a strong man and take away his goods, if he does not first Bind the strong man and then he can loot his house?
He who is not with me is against me and he who does not gather with me wastes, and so on. I tell you that all kinds of sin and slander can be forgiven but blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the son of man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the holy spirit will not be forgiven in this age. or in the age to come make a tree good and its fruit will be good or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad because a tree is known by its fruit, brood of vipers, how can you, who are bad, say something good for him the mouth speaks what the heart is full of a good man brings out good things from the good stored up in him and a bad man brings out bad things from the evil stored up in him but I tell you that each one will have to give an account in the on the day of judgment for every empty word that they have spoken for your words you will be acquitted and for your words you will be condemned then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him teacher we want to see a sign from you he responded an evil and adulterous generation asks for a sign but None will be given to him except the sign of the prophet Jonah because as Jonah was in the belly of a huge fish three days and three nights, so will the son of man be three days and three nights.
In the heart of the earth the men of Nineveh will rise in judgment with this generation and condemn it because they repented at Jonah's preaching and now something greater than Jonah is here the queen of the south will rise in judgment with this generation. and condemn her because she came from the ends of the earth to listen to the wisdom of Solomon and now something greater than Solomon is here when an impure spirit comes out of a person it goes through arid places looking for rest and does not find it then it says I will return to the house that I left when he arrives he finds the unoccupied house swept and tidied then he goes and takes seven other spirits more evil than him and they enter and live there and the final condition of that person is worse than the first so it will be with this evil generation while Jesus was still talking to the crowd his mother and brother were outside wanting to talk to him someone told him your mother and brothers are outsideWanting to talk to you, he answered who is my mother and who are my brothers, pointing to his disciples and said, here are my mother and my brothers because the one who does the will of my father in heaven is my brother and my sister and my mother Matthew chapter 13 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake.
So many people gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it while all the people were on the shore and he told them many things in parables, saying that a farmer went out to sow his seed. While I was spreading the seed, some fell on the road and the birds came and released it. Some fell in rocky places where there was not much soil. It sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow, but when the sun rose the plants burned and withered because they did not have much soil. root, another seed fell among thorns that grew and choked the plants and another seed fell on good soil where it bore fruit one hundred and sixty or thirty times what was sown.
Anyone who has ears can hear. The disciples approached him and asked him why you speak to the people in parables and he answered because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. He who has will be given more and will have in abundance. He who does not have, not even what he has will be taken away from him. That is what I speak to you in the parables, although seeing you do not see, although hearing you do not hear or understand, in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled.
You will always hear but you will never understand. You will always see but you will never perceive because the heart of this people has become insensitive, they barely hear with their ears. and they have closed their eyes otherwise they could see with their eyes here with their ears understand with their heart and turn and I would heal them but blessed are your eyes because they see and your ears because they truly hear I tell you many prophets and righteous people desired to see what you see but did not see it and hear what you hear but did not hear listen then what the parable of the sower means when someone hears the message of the kingdom and does not understand it the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart this is the seed sown in the path the seed that falls on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy but since it has no root they only last a short time when trouble or persecution comes because of the word they quickly fall the seed that falls between thorns refers to someone who hears the word but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word making it fruitless but the seed falls on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it this is the one who produces a harvest that yields one hundred and sixty or thirty times what was sown Jesus told them another parable the kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field but while everyone was sleeping his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and left when the The wheat sprouted and formed ears, then the tares also appeared.
The servants of the owner approached him and said, sir, did you not sow good seed in your field where? Then the tares came from an enemy. He did this. He responded. The servants asked him, Do you want us to go and uproot them? He did not answer because while you uproot the tares you can uproot the wheat with them, let them both grow together until the harvest at that time I will tell the reapers first gather the tares and tie them in bundles to burn them then gather the wheat and bring it to My barn told them another parable, the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in his field, although it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it grows it is the largest of the plants in the garden. and it becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch on its branches, he told them another parable: the kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with about 30 kilograms of flour until it worked on her. the whole mass Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables he did not tell them anything without using a parable thus what was said by the prophet was fulfilled I will open my mouth in parables I will speak things hidden since the creation of the world then he left the crowd and entered into the house his disciples approached him and said to him explain to us the parable of the tares in the field he answered the one who sowed the good seed is the son of man the field is the world and the good seed represents the people of the kingdom the tares are the people of the evil one and the enemy who sows is the devil the harvest is the end of the age and the reapers are angels as the tares are plucked up and burned in the fire so it will be at the end of the age the son of man will send his angels and will uproot from their kingdom everything that causes sin and all those who do evil will be thrown into the burning furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth then the righteous will shine like the sun in their father's kingdom whoever has ears let him hear.
The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field when a man found it he hid it again and then in his joy he went and sold everything he had and bought back that field the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant who He looks for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went and sold everything he had and bought it back. The kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen took it out. the shore then they would sit and collect the good ones I fished in baskets but I threw away the bad ones so it will be at the end of time the angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace where there will be crying and gnashing of teeth , you have understood?
All these things Jesus asked if they answered he told them therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of the house who takes out of his pantry new treasures as well as old when Jesus had finished these parables and he left there arriving at his hometown he began to teach the people in his synagogue and they were amazed where this man got this wisdom and these miraculous powers that they asked is not this the carpenter's son is not the name of his mother? Mary and they are not his brothers James Joseph Simon and Judas are not all his sisters with us, where then did this man get all these things and they were offended with him but Jesus told them that a prophet does not lack honor except in his own ? town and in his own house and he did not perform many miracles there because of his lack of faith Matthew chapter 14 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the rumors about Jesus and said to his servants this is John the Baptist has risen from the dead that is why miraculous powers are working in him now herod had arrested john and had tied him up and put him in prison because of herodias his brother philip john's wife had been telling him that it is not lawful for you to have her herod wanted to kill john but he was afraid of the people because they considered John a prophet on Herod's birthday Herodias' daughter danced for the guests and pleased Herod so much that he swore to give her everything she asked for, prompted by her mother, she said to give her here on a plate. head of john the baptist the king was distraught but because of his oaths and his dinner guests he ordered his request to be granted and had john beheaded in prison his head was brought on a plate and given to the girl who He took him to his mother.
John's disciples came and took his body and buried him. Then they went and told Jesus. When Jesus heard what had happened, he retired by boat privately to a solitary place. When he heard about this, the crowd followed him on foot. from the towns When Jesus came down and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed those who were sick. As evening approached, the disciples came to him and told him that this is a remote place and it is getting late. Send the crowd away so they can go to the towns and buy some food.
Jesus responded, "You don't need to leave. You feed them here. We only have five loaves of bread and two fish. They responded, Bring them to me here," he said, and told the people to sit on the table. grass taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking at heaven he gave thanks and broke the loaves then he gave them to the disciples and the disciples gave them to the people who were all there and they were satisfied and the disciples picked up twelve basketballs of The pieces that were left over from the number of those who ate were about five thousand men without the women and children.
Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and pass before him to the other shore while he dismissed the crowd after he had eaten them. Dismissed, he went up alone to the side of a mountain to pray. Later that night he was there alone and the boat was already a considerable distance from land battered by waves because the wind was contrary shortly before dawn. Jesus left towards them walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified, "It's a ghost," they said and screamed in fear, but Jesus immediately told them, "Take courage, I'm not afraid, Lord, if it's you," Peter responded, "Tell me, let the water come to you," he said. "Then Peter came down." The boat walked on the water and came towards Jesus but when he saw the wind he was afraid and starting to sink he shouted Lord save me immediately Jesus extended his hand and grabbed him with little faith he said why did you doubt and when they got into the boat the wind subsided then the Those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly, you are the son of God." They begged him to leave those who were sick only touched the hem of his cloak and all who touched him were healed Matthew chapter 15 then some Pharisees and The teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked him why your disciples break tradition Of the elderly, they do not wash their hands before eating.
Jesus responded and why do you break God's command for the sake of your tradition for God. You said honor your father and mother and anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death, but you say that if someone declares that what could have been used to help his father or mother is dedicated to God, He should not honor his father. or mother with her thus you annul the word of God by your tradition hypocrites Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you these people honor me with their lips but their heart is far from me they worship me in vain their teachings are merely human rules Jesus called the crowd And he said listen and understand what goes into someone's mouth does not defile him but what comes out of his mouth that is what defiles him.
Then the disciples approached him and asked him, do you know that the Pharisees were offended? When they heard this, they responded, every plant that my heavenly father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them be blind guides. If the blind guides the blind, they will both fall into a pit. Peter said, explain the parable to us. Are you still here? Jesus asked them so boring, don't you see that everything that enters through the mouth goes to the stomach and then leaves the body, but what comes out of a person's mouth comes from the heart and these contaminate them because evil comes out of the heart? thoughts murder adultery sexual immorality theft false testimony slander These are those that defile a person but eating with dirty hands does not defile him leaving that place Jesus withdrew to the region of Tire and Sidon a Canaanite woman from that neighborhood came to him crying Lord son of David, have mercy on me, my daughter is possessed by a demon and suffers terribly.
Jesus didn't answer a word, so her disciples came to him and urged him to send her away from her because she keeps shouting after us. He replied that I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. The woman came and knelt before him, sir, help me, he said, he replied, it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs, yes, sir, it is, he said, even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table, Jesus, said his wife. You have great faith, your request is granted and his daughter was healed.
At that moment, Jesus left there and went through the Sea of Galilee, then he went up to the side of a mountain and sat down. Many people came to him, bringing the lame, the The people were amazed to see the mute speaking. He healed the lame walking and the blind seeing and they praised the god of Israel. Jesus called his disciples and said I have compassion for these people. They have been with me for three days and they have nothing to eat. I don't want to send them away hungry or they will collapse on the road.
His disciples responded, where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed ourselves? Such a crowd, how many loaves do you have? Jesus asked, seven answered him and some little fish. He told the crowd to sit on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish and after giving thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples and they went inside. with the people where everyone was and were satisfied. Afterwards the disciples collected seven baskets full of pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was four thousand men without women and children after Jesus dismissed the crowd.
He got into the boat and headed to the outskirts of Macadam Matthew Chapter 16 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven. He responded when the evening comes you say that the weather will be good for the sky is red. and in the morning today there will be a stormbecause the sky is red and cloudy you know how to interpret the appearance of the sky but you cannot interpret the signs of the times an evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign but it will not be given except the sign of jonah jesus then left them and went away when they crossed the lake The disciples forgot to take bread, be careful, Jesus told them, be careful with the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees, they discussed this among themselves and said it is because we did not bring bread, aware of the discussion, Jesus asked them with little faith, why do you talk among yourselves about not have bread yet they do not understand they do not remember the five loaves for the five thousand and how many full baskets or the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you collected how come you do not understand that I was not talking to you about bread but beware of the yeast of The Pharisees and Sadducees then understood that he was not telling them to beware of the yeast that is used in bread, but rather of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea, a Filipino asked his disciples who says The people who is the son of man, they responded, some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah and others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets, but what happens? He asked you who do you say I am? Simon Peter answered: You are the messiah, the son of the living God. Jesus answered: Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah, because this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my father who is in heaven, and I tell you that You are Peter and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of hades will not overcome it.
I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Everything you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and everything you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the messiah. From that moment on, Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that He had to be killed and on the third day he was resurrected. Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
Never, Lord, he said this will never happen to you. Jesus turned and said to Peter, stand behind me. Satan, you are a stumbling block for me. You do not have in mind the concerns of God but merely human then Jesus said to his disciples whoever wants to be my disciple must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me for whoever wants to save his life will lose it but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good would it do for someone to gain the whole world and lose his soul or what can someone give in exchange for his soul because the Son of Man is going to enter the glory of his father with his angels and then he will reward each one according to what he has.
In truth I tell you that some of those who are here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom Matthew Chapter 17 After six days Jesus took with him James Peter and John, brother of James, and led them alone to a high mountain, there he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light. At that moment Moses and Elijah appeared before them. speaking with Jesus Peter said to Jesus Lord it is good for us to be here if you wish I will put three shelters one for you one for Moses and one for Elijah while he was still speaking a bright cloud covered them and a voice from the cloud said this is my son who I love with him I am very happy listen to him when the disciples heard this they fell face down to the ground terrified but Jesus came and touched them get up he said don't be afraid when they looked up they saw no one except Jesus as they came down from the mountain Jesus commanded them no Tell no one what you have seen until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.
The disciples asked him why then the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first. Jesus answered to be sure Elijah comes and will restore all things. But I tell you Elijah has already come and you did not recognize him but they have done everything they wanted to him in the same way the son of man is going to suffer at their hands then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist when they came to the crowd a man He approached Jesus and knelt before him, Lord, have mercy on my son.
He said that he has convulsions and is suffering greatly. He often falls into fire or water. I took him to your disciples but they could not heal him. You unbelieving and perverse generation. Jesus responded. how long will I be with you how long will I put up with you bring me the child here Jesus rebuked the demon and it came out of the child and he was healed at that moment then the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked him why we couldn't cast him out he responded because you have so little faith in I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for you. When they gathered in Galilee, he told them, the Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. He will kill him and on the third day he will rise again and the disciples were filled with pain after Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two tanks of the temple of drachma approached Peter and asked him: does your teacher not pay the temple ? tax if he does he answered when Peter entered the house Jesus was the first to speak what do you think Simon asked from whom do the kings of the earth collect the duties and taxes of their own children or of others Peter answered then the children are exempt Jesus told him, but so that we do not offend you, go to the lake and cast your rod, take the first fish you catch, open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin, take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.
Matthew chapter 18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and they asked him who then is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven he called a little child and put the child between them and he said truly I tell you unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. heavens, therefore, he who takes the humble position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven and he who receives one of these children in my name, receives me if anyone causes one of these little ones For those who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for them to have a great millstone hung around their necks and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
Woe to the world for the things that cause men to stumble! Things like that have to come but woe to the person through whom they come, if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away, it is better for you to enter life maimed or lame than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown away. into eternal fire and if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away, it is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell, see that you do not despise one of these little ones because I I say that his angels in heaven always see my father's face in heaven.
What do you think if a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, he will not leave the 99 in the mountains and go look for the one that went astray and if If he truly finds it, I tell you that he is happier for that sheep than for the 99 that did not go astray, just as your father who is in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish if your sinful brother or sisters go and point out their It is only between the two of you, if they listen to you, you have conquered them, but if they do not listen to you, bring one or two more so that everything is resolved with the testimony of two or three.
Witnesses, if they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you bind will be bound. loose on earth will be loosed again in heaven truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree on anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my father in heaven because where two or three meet in my name there I am with then Peter approached Jesus and asked him, Lord, how many times should I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me up to seven times?
Jesus answered, I am not telling you seven times but seventy-seven, therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants, when the agreement began, they brought him a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold, since he could not pay, the master ordered that he, his wife, his children and everything that he had were sold. To pay the debt at this, the servant fell on his knees before him, be patient with me, he begged me and I will return it all to you. The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go, but when that servant came out he found one of his fellow servants who They owed him a hundred silver coins.
He grabbed him and began to strangle him. Pay what you owe me. He demanded that his fellow servant kneel and begged him to be patient with me and I will return it to him, but he refused. He left and ordered the man to be put in jail until he could pay the debt. When the other servant saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened. Then the master called the servant in you. evil servant said to him, I You canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me.
Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had mercy on you in anger? His master handed him over to the jailers to torture him until he paid everything he owed. This is how my heavenly father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart Matthew chapter 19 When Jesus finished saying these things he left Galilee and went to the region of Judea on the other side of the Jordan great Multitudes followed him and he healed them. There some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked him if it is lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason.
Have you not read? He responded that at the beginning the creator made them male and female and said for this reason the man will leave his father, mother and be united to his wife and the two will be one flesh so they are no longer two but one flesh therefore What God has joined together, let no one separate. Why then they asked if Moses ordered a man to give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away. Jesus responded that Moses allowed them to divorce their wives because their hearts were hard, but that was not the case.
From the beginning I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife except for sexual immorality and marries another woman commits adultery. The disciple told him if this is the situation between husband and wife, it is better not to marry. Jesus replied, not everyone can accept this. word but only those to whom it has been given because there are eunuchs who were born that way and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others and there are those who choose to live as eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven whoever can accept this must accept it then the people brought little children to Jesus to lay his hands on them and pray for them but the disciples rebuked them Jesus said let the children come to me do not prevent them because the kingdom of heaven belongs to those like these when he imposed the hands continued forward From there at that moment a man approached Jesus and asked the teacher what good thing I must do to have eternal life.
Why do you ask me what good is? Jesus responded that there is only one that is good if you want to enter into life keep the commandments. Which ones did Jesus answer? You will not kill, you will not commit adultery, you will not steal, you will not bear false witness, honor your father and mother and love your neighbor as yourself. I have kept all this. The young man said, what do I still do? As Jesus responded, if you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give them to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven, then come and follow me.
When the young man heard this, he left sad because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, I truly tell you what it is. It is difficult for a rich man to re-enter the kingdom of heaven. I tell you that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked who then can be saved. Jesus looked at them and said with the man this It is impossible but with God everything is possible.
Peter responded, we have left everything to follow you. What will be for us then, Jesus? I truly tell you, I tell you at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel and everyone who left houses or brothers or sisters. or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake they will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life but many of the first will be last and many of the last will be first matthew chapter 20 because the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who He went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard, agreed to pay them one denarius a day, and sent them to his vineyard around nine in the morning.
He went out and saw others standing in the square doing nothing. I told them, you too, go work in my vineyard and I will pay you whatever it is right then they left. He went out again at around noon and at around three in the afternoon and did the same at around five in the afternoon he went out and found Others standing around asked them why they have been here all day standing without doing anything because no one has hired us. They responded and told them that you too should go work in my vineyard. When the afternoon arrived, the owner of the vineyard told his foreman to call. to the workers and pay them their salary, starting with the last ones hired and continuing with the first ones came the workers who werehired at about five in the afternoon and each one received a denarius so when those who were hired first came they expected to receive more but each of them also received a denarius when they received it they began to complain against the landowner these who were hired last worked alone an hour they said and you have made them equal to us who have carried the weight of the work and the heat of the day but he responded to one of them I am not being unfair to you friend did you not agree to work for a denarius take your pay and go I want to give it to the Last hired, the same thing I gave you, right?
I have the right to do whatever I want with my own money or are you envious because I am generous then the last will be first and the first will be last now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem on the way he took the twelve aside and said to them let's go up to Jerusalem and the son of man will be handed over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified in life. On the third day he will rise again. then the mother of the children of Zebedee came to Jesus with his sons and kneeling down asked him for a favor what do you want he asked she said grant that one of these two sons of mine sits on your right and the other on your left in your kingdom you don't know what you are asking Jesus He said to them can you drink the cup that I am going to drink can we they answered Jesus said to them you will certainly drink from my cup but sit on my right or on my left It is not for me to grant that these places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my father when The ten heard this and were indignant with the two brothers.
Jesus called them and said to them: You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lorded it over them. and their high officials exercise authority over them not so with you but whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant and whoever wants to be first must be your slave just as the son of man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many while Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho a large crowd followed him two blind men were sitting on the side of the road and when they heard Jesus passing by they shouted lord son of david have mercy on us the crowd rebuked them and He said to be quiet but they shouted louder Lord son of David have mercy on us Jesus stopped and called them what do you want me to do for you he asked Lord they responded we want our sight Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes immediately they received their sight and they followed him in matthew chapter 21 when they approached jerusalem and arrived at betphage on the mount of olives jesus sent two disciples telling them go to the village that is before you and immediately you will find a donkey tied there with its worship for it untie them and Bring them to me if anyone says something to you, say that the Lord needs them and he will immediately send them.
This happened so that what was said through the prophet would be fulfilled. Tell the daughter of Zion, see, your king comes to you, meek and riding on a donkey and on a cult the colt of a donkey the disciples went and did as Jesus had ordered them they brought the donkey and the cult and put their cloaks on them so that Jesus could sit in a very large place a large crowd spread their cloaks on the road while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road the crowd that went before him and those who followed shouted hosanna to the son of david blessed he who comes in the name of the lord hosanna in the highest of heaven when jesus entered jerusalem the whole city was moved and He asked who this was, the crowd answered, "This is Jesus.
The prophet of Nazareth in Galilee. Jesus entered the atrium of the temple and expelled all those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the money-changing tables and the benches of those who sold doves." It is written that he told you that my house will be called a house of prayer but you are turning it into a den of thieves, the blind and the lame came to him in the temple and he was healed. them, but when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonders he did and the children shouted in the courts of the temple hosanna to the son of David, they became indignant.
Do you hear what these children say? They asked him yes he answered that Jesus has never read from the lips of children and babies your Lord has called your praise and he left them and left the city to Bethany where he spent the night early in the morning while Jesus returned to the city where was. Hungry, seeing a fig tree by the road, he approached it, but he found nothing on it except leaves, so he told it to never bear fruit again. Immediately the tree withered when the disciples saw this, they were amazed at how the fig tree withered so much.
They quickly asked him, Jesus answered truly, I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what they did to the fig tree, but you can also say to this mountain, go throw yourself into the sea and it will be done if it believes that you will receive everything you ask for in prayer Jesus entered the atrium of the temple and while he was teaching the chief priests and the elders of the people approached him with what authority you do these things, they asked him and who gave you this authority Jesus answered I will also ask you a question if you answer me I will tell you with What authority am I doing these things?
John's baptism, where it came from, was it from heaven or from human origin? They discussed it among themselves and said, if we say from heaven, he will ask why they didn't believe him, but if we say from human origin, well, we are afraid of people because Everyone maintains that John was a prophet, so they responded to Jesus, "We don't know," he said, "I won't do it either. I'll tell you with what authority I'm doing these things. What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first one and said son, go to work." today in the vineyard, I won't do it, he responded but then changed his mind and left?
Then the father went to the other son and told him the same thing. He responded, "I'm sir, but it wasn't which of the two did what his father wanted. The first one responded. Jesus told them, truly, I'm telling you that the tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom." of God before you because John came to show you the way of justice and you did not believe him but the publicans and the prostitutes did and even after seeing this they did not repent and believed him listen to another parable there was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower, then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place when harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the farmers to who gathered their fruit the farmers grabbed their servants they beat one they killed another and stoned a third then he sent them other servants more than the first time and the farmers treated them the same way in the end he sent them his son they will respect him My son said, but when the farmers saw the sun they said to each other, this is the air, come, let's kill him and take his inheritance, so they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him for that reason, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what? will it do to those farmers or will it lead those unfortunate people to a miserable end?, they responded, and he will rent the vineyard to other farmers who will give him his share of the harvest at harvest time.
Jesus said to them: Have you never read in the scriptures, the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. The Lord has done this and it is wonderful in our eyes. That is why I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to you. a people that will produce its fruit anyone who falls on this stone will be broken into pieces anyone on whom it falls will be crushed when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard the parables of Jesus they knew that he was speaking about them they looked for a way to arrest him but they were afraid of the crowd because the people maintained that he was a prophet matthew chapter 22 jesus spoke to them again in parables saying that the kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son he sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them They asked them to come but they refused to come so he sent more servants and said to tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner my oxen and fatted cattle have been slaughtered and everything is ready come to the wedding banquet but they did not pay attention and left one to his field another to his business the rest seized his servants they mistreated them and killed them the king became enraged he sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned his city then he told his servants the wedding banquet is ready but those I invited They didn't deserve to come, so go to the corners and invite anyone you find to the banquet.
Then the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both the bad and the good, and the wedding. The hall was full of guests, but when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed that there was a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes and asked how you came here without wedding clothes. Dude, the man was speechless and then the king told the attendants to tie him up. hands and feet and throw him outside into the darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth because many are invited but few are chosen then the Pharisees went out and made plans to trap him in his words, they sent their disciples to him along with the Herodian teacher they said we know that you are a man of integrity and who teaches the way of god according to the truth you do not let yourself be carried away by others because you do not pay attention to who they are tell us then what is your opinion is it correct to pay the poll tax to caesar or not bejesus knowing his evils intentions they said hypocrites why are they trying to catch me show me the coin used to pay the tax that they brought to a Darius and he asked them whose image is this and whose inscription is Caesar's they responded then he told them so give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar Caesar and God what belongs to God When they heard this they were amazed so they left him and left that same day the Sadducees came who say that there is no resurrection to him with a question teacher they told him Moses told us that if a man dies without having children His brother must marry the widow and raise offspring for her.
Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died and since he had no children he left his wife to his brother. The same thing happened to the second and third brothers until the seventh, finally, the woman. died now then in the resurrection of who will be the wife of the seven since they were all married to her jesus responded you are in error because you do not know the scriptures or the power of god in the resurrection people will not marry or give birth Marriage will be like the angels in heaven but about the resurrection of the dead, haven't you read what God said?
For you I am the god of Abraham the god of Isaac and the god of Jacob he is not the god of the dead but of the living when the crowds heard this they were amazed at his teaching when they heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees the Pharisees They got together one of them an expert in the law tested him with this question teacher what is the greatest commandment of the law Jesus answered love the Lord your god with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind this is the first and greatest commandment and the second is how to love your neighbor as yourself the whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments while the pharisees were gathered jesus asked them what they think of the messiah whose son is the son of david they They answered that he told them how it is then that David speaking by the spirit calls him lord because the lord says he said to my lord sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet if then David calls him lord how can he be his son no one could say a word in response and from that day no one dared to ask him any more questions matthew chapter 23 then jesus said to the crowd and his disciples the teachers of the law and the pharisees sit in moses' chair so you must be careful to do everything they tell you but don't do what they do because they don't practice what they preach they tie heavy and bulky loads and put them on other people's shoulders but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move everything they do It is so that people can see they make their phylacteries wide and the tassels of their dresses long.
They love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogue. They love to be received with respect in the squares and to be others call you rabbi. but they should not call you rabbi because you have only one teacher and you are all brothers and do not call anyone on earth father because you have only one father and he is in heaven nor should they call you instructors because you have one instructor the messiah the greatest among you he will be your servant because those who exalt themselves will be humiliated and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, hypocrites, you closed the door of the kingdom of heaven on people! You yourselves do not enter nor will you allow in those who try to make you woe to you, teachers of science and Pharisees, hypocrites, you travel by land and sea to win a single convert and when you have achieved it, you make them twice as much a son of hell as you are woe to you blind guides you say that if someone swears by the temple it means nothing but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath you are blind fools which is greater the gold or the temple that makes the gold sacred too You say that if someone swears at the altarit means nothing, but whoever swears by the gift at the altar is bound by that oath, oh blind men, which is greater the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred, therefore either.
Whoever swears by the altar swears by it and by everything that is in it and whoever swears by the temple swears by it and by whoever lives in it and whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by whoever sits on it. Oh! to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, hypocrites, you give a tenth of your spices, mint, dill and cumin, but you have neglected the most important things of the law, justice, mercy and faithfulness, you should have practiced the second without neglecting First of all, he guides you blind. Strain a gnat but swallow a camel.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the glass and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and debauchery, blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the glass and the plate. and then the outside will also be clean. Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, hypocrites, you are like whitewashed tombs, which on the outside look beautiful, but inside are full of the bones of the dead and likewise above all that is unclean. On the outside you appear righteous to people but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and evil.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and of fantasies! Hypocrites, you build tombs for the prophets and decorate the tombs of the righteous and say if we had lived. In the days of our ancestors we would not have participated with them in the shedding of the blood of the prophets, so you testify against yourselves that you are descendants of those who murdered the prophets, go ahead and complete what your ancestors began, serpents, generation of vipers, how will you do? escape from being condemned to hell, that is why I send them prophets, wise men and teachers, some of them they will kill and crucify, others they will whip in their synagogues and they will persecute them from town to town, and thus will come all the righteous blood that has been spilled. in the land from the blood of Abel the righteous to the blood of Zechariah son of Barakaya, whom you killed between the temple and the altar, truly I say to you, all this will come upon this generation, Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those who send you.
How many times have I wanted to gather your children like a hen gathers her chicks under her wings and you did not want to look, your house is left desolate because I tell you that you will not see me again until you say blessed is he who comes. In the name of the Lord Matthew chapter 24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away from it when his disciples approached him to draw his attention to his buildings. Do you see all these things? He truly asked, I tell you that not a stone will be left here. in another everyone will be thrown while jesus was sitting on the mount of olives the disciples approached him privately they tell us they told us when this will happen and what will be the sign of your coming and the end of times jesus responded be careful with that no one deceives you because many will come in my name saying that I am the messiah and will deceive many you will hear of wars and rumors of wars but be careful not to be alarmed such things must happen but the end is yet to come nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom there will be famines and earthquakes in various places all this is the beginning of birth pangs then you will be handed over to be persecuted and executed and you will be hated by all nations because of me at that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray themselves and They will hate each other and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people because of the increase of wickedness.
The love of the majority will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved and this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world. as a testimony to all nations and then the end will come, so when you see in the holy place the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, let the reader understand. then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let no one who is on the roof come down to take anything from the house, let no one in the field return to look for his cloak, how terrible it will be in those days for the pregnant women and the Nursing mothers pray that your flight may not take place in winter or on the Sabbath, for then there will be great anguish, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now, and will never again be equaled.
If those days had not been shortened, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened at that time. If anyone tells you, look here is the messiah or there he is, do not believe it because false messiahs and false prophets will appear and will perform great signs and wonders to deceive if it is possible that even the elect, see, I have told you beforehand, so if someone tells you that it is outside in the desert, do not go out or here it is in the inner rooms, do not believe it, because like a lightning bolt coming from the east it is even visible.
In the west this will be the coming of the Son of Man wherever there is a corpse there the vultures will gather immediately after the anguish of those days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light the stars will fall from the sky and the celestial bodies will be shaken then the sign of the son of man will appear in heaven and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory and he sends his angels with a strong blast of trumpet and they will gather their elect from the four winds from one end of the heavens to the other now learn this lesson from the fig tree as soon as its twigs soften and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near even so when you see all these things You know it is near right at the door of truth I tell you that this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away but of that day or hour no one knows not even the angels in heaven not the son but only the father as it was in the days of Noah so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man for the days before the flood people were eating and drinking marrying and giving in marriage until the day Noah entered the ark no They knew nothing of what would happen until the flood came and took them all away, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man two men They will be in the field one will be taken and the other left two women will be grinding with a hand mill one will be taken and the other left, therefore be attentive because you do not know what day your master will come, but understand this if the owner If the man of the house knew at what time of the night the thief was going to come, he would have stood guard and would not have left that his house will be broken into, so you also be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you least expect it.
He who then is the faithful and prudent servant whom the master has put in charge of the servants of his house to give them their food in due season, it will be good to that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns, truly I say. He will put him in charge of all his property, but suppose that servant is bad and it is said that my master is going to stay away for a long time and then he begins to beat his fellow servants and eat and drink with drunks, the master of that servant will come on day that does not expect it and at the hour that it does not know will tear it to pieces and assign it a place with the hypocrites where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth Matthew chapter 25 at that time the The kingdom of heaven would be like ten virgins who took their lamps and they went out to meet the bridegroom.
Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but took no oil. The wise, however, carried oil in jars. Along with their packages, the bridegroom took a while to arrive and they all fell asleep and fell asleep at midnight, the cry was heard, here is the bridegroom, go out to meet him, then all the virgins woke up and fixed their lamps, the foolish ones said to the wise ones, give us some your oil our lamps are going out no, they replied that there may not be enough for both of us and instead go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourself, but while they were on their way to buy the oil, the groom The virgins who were ready arrived, they entered with him to the wedding banquet and the door was closed, then the others also came, sir, sir, they said to open the door for us, but he answered honestly, I tell you that I don't know, so be careful because you don't know the day nor hour again will be like a man who, going on a journey, called his servants and entrusted them with his wealth, to one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another a bag to each according to his ability.
He continued his journey. The man who received five bags of gold went immediately and put his money to work and won five more bags. The man who had two bags of gold also earned two more, but the man who had received one bag left and dug a hole. in the earth and hid his master's money after a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them the man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five master said that you entrusted me with five bags of gold look I have won five more his master responded well done good and faithful servant you have been faithful in few things I will put you in charge of many things come and share your master's happiness the man with two bags of gold also came master said you entrusted me with two bags of gold look I have earned two more, his master replied, well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful in few things, I will put you in charge of many things, come and share your master's happiness, then the The man who had received a bag of gold came, master, and He said: I knew that you are a hard man who reaps where you have not sown and gathers where you have not scattered seeds, so I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground, look here.
It is what belongs to you, replied his master, wicked and lazy servant, then you knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not spread well, then you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers so that when I returned I would have received it with interest. , so take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags, because to the one who has more will be given and he will have plenty. He who does not have even what he has will be taken away. them and throw that useless servant out into the darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him will sit on his glorious throne, all the nations will be gathered before him and he will separate the people from each other as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, he will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left, then the king will say to those on his right, come, you who are blessed by my father, take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you. you since the creation of the world. because I was hungry and you gave me food I was thirsty and you gave me drink I was a stranger and you invited me in I needed clothes and you clothed me I was sick and you took care of me I was in prison and you came to visit me then the righteous will answer you Lord when we saw you hungry and we fed you or thirsty and we gave you drink when we saw you a stranger and invited you in or needing clothes and clothing when we saw you you are sick or in prison and he is going to visit you, the king will answer you truthfully, I will tell you that everything What you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me, then he will say to those on his left, depart from me. who are cursed in the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels because I was hungry and you did not give me food I was thirsty and you did not give me drink I was a stranger and you did not invite me in I needed clothes and you did not clothe me I was sick and in prison and you did not take care of me, they will also respond, sir, when we saw you hungry or thirsty or strange or in need of clothing or sick or in prison and we did not help you, he will truly respond, I tell you what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do it for me. then they will go to eternal punishment but the righteous to eternal life Matthew chapter 26 When Jesus finished saying all these things his disciples told him, as you know, there are two days left until the Passover and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified then the main ones The priests and the elders of the people met in the palace of the high priest who was called Caiaphas and plotted to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him but not during the feast they said or there may be a disturbance among the people while Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper a woman approached him with an alabaster bottle of very expensive perfume which she poured on his head while he was reclining at the table when the disciples saw this they were outraged why this waste they asked this perfume could have been sold at a high price with the money given to the poor aware of this jesus told them why they bother this woman she has done something beautiful to me the poor you will always have with you but you will not always have me when she poured this perfume on my body she did it to prepare me for the tomb you really I say it wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world it will also be told what she has done in memory of her then one of the twelve who was called Judas Iscariot went to the chief priests and asked what they are willing to give me if he He delivered and they counted for him thirty pieces of silver.
Since then Judas was waiting for an opportunity to deliver him on the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The disciples approached Jesus and asked him where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover. He answered, go to the citycertain man and tell him the teacher says that my appointed time is near I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples in your house then the disciples did as Jesus had ordered them and they prepared the passover when the evening came Jesus was reclining at the table with the twelve and while they were eating, he said, truly, I tell you that one of you will betray me.
They became very sad and began to tell him one after another, surely you are not referring to me, Lord Jesus, answered the one who put his hand in the bowl with me, he will betray me, the son of man will go. just as it is written about him but woe to that man who betrays the son of man! It would be better for him not to have been born then Judas the one who was going to betray him said surely you are not referring to me rabbi Jesus answered you said it while they were eating Jesus took bread and having given thanks he broke it and gave it to his disciples saying take and eat This is my body, then he took a cup and after giving thanks he gave it to them saying, everyone drink of it, this is my blood of the covenant that is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins, I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit. of the vine from now until that day when I drink it new with you in my father's kingdom when they had sung a hymn they went out to the Mount of Olives then Jesus said to them this very night you will all fall. far away because of me because it is written I will strike the shepherd and the sheep of the flock will be scattered but after I have risen I will go before you to Galilee Peter answered even if everyone turns away because of you I will never do it I truly tell you that Jesus answered this very night before the ravens.you will disown me three times but peter declared even if i have to die with you i will never disown you and all the other disciples said the same thing then jesus went with his disciples to a place called gethsemane and told them sit here while i see there and pray.
He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee and began to be sad and troubled. Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with pain until death. Stay here and watch with me, going a little further, he fell with his face towards the ground and prayed to my father." If possible, let this cup be taken from me, but not as I will do it, but as you, then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping, could you not watch with me for one? hour he asked Peter to watch and pray so that you do not fall into temptation the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak he left for the second time and prayed my father if it is not possible that they take this cup from me unless I drink it let it be yours will when he returned again he found them sleeping because their eyes were heavy so he left them and went away once again and prayed a third time saying the same thing then he returned to the disciples and said to them are you still there? sleeping and resting look the hour has come and the son of man is delivered into the hands of sinners get up let's go here comes my traitor while he was still speaking judas one of the twelve arrived with him there was a great crowd armed with swords and clubs sent by the principals priests and the elders of the people now the traitor had arranged a sign with them the one who kissed is the man arrest him going immediately to Jesus Judas said greetings rabbi and kissed him Jesus responded do what you came for friend then the men took a step forward They grabbed Jesus and arrested him with that one of Jesus' companions took his sword, he pulled it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear, put your sword in its place.
Jesus said to him, for all those who draw the sword, he will die by the sword. Do you believe? that I cannot invoke my father and he will immediately put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels but how then would the scriptures that say it must happen in this way at that hour be fulfilled? Jesus said to the crowd: Am I leading a rebellion? Did you go out with swords and clubs to capture me every day? I sat in the temple court teaching and you did not arrest me, but all this has happened, the writings of the prophets Then all the disciples abandoned him and fled.
Those who had arrested Jesus brought him to the high priest Caiaphas, where the teachers of the law and the elders had gathered, but Peter followed him at a distance to the courtyard of the high priest. He entered and sat with the guards to see the result. The main priests and the entire Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus to be able to kill him, but they did not find any, although many false witnesses came forward. Finally, two came forward and declared that this guy said: I can destroy the temple of god and rebuild it in three days, then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, are you not going to answer what is this testimony that these men are bringing against you, but Jesus stayed? silence the high priest told him I charge you under oath by the living god tell us if you are the messiah the son of god you have said it jesus answered but I say to all of you from now on you will see the son of man sitting at the right hand of the powerful and coming on the clouds of heaven, then the high priest tore his clothes and said that he had spoken blasphemy, why do we need more witnesses?
Look now that you have heard the blasphemy, what do you think is worthy? of death they responded then they spat in his face and punched him others slapped him and said prophesy messiah who hit you now Peter was sitting in the courtyard and a servant girl approached him you were also with Jesus of Galilee she said but he denied it in front I don't know what they're talking about, he said, then he went out to the door where another servant saw him and told the people that he was there, this guy was with Jesus of Nazareth, he denied again with an oath, I don't know the man, after a while the who were there approached Peter and said to him, surely you are one of them, your accent gives you away, then he began to curse and swore to them that no, I did not know the man immediately, a song, then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had said before the crows. you will disown me three times and he went outside and wept bitterly matthew chapter 27 early in the morning all the chief priests and the elders of the people made their plans on how to execute Jesus, so they tied him up, took him away and handed him over to guide the governor when Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, repented and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, I have sinned, he said, because I have betrayed innocent blood, what is that for us?
They responded that it is your responsibility, so Judas. he threw the money into the temple and left then he left and hanged himself the chief priests collected the coins and said it is against the law to put this in the treasury since it is blood money so they decided to use the money to buy the potter's field as a burial place for foreigners, which is why it is called the field of blood to this day. The prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled, they took the thirty pieces of silver, the prize that the people of Israel had given them, and with them they bought the potter's field as the Lord commanded me.
Meanwhile, Jesus stood before the governor and the governor asked him, "Are you the one?" king of the Jews you have said it Jesus responded when he was accused by the chief priests and the elders did not give an answer then Pilate asked him do you not listen to the testimony that they are bringing against you but Jesus did not respond even to a single charge to the great astonishment of the governor now it was the governor's custom at the festival to release a prisoner chosen by the crowd at that time they had a well-known prisoner whose name was Jesus Barabbas so when the crowd had gathered Pilate asked them which one do you want Jesus Barabbas to release to you? who is called the messiah because he knew that it was out of interest that he had been handed over to Jesus while Pilate was sitting on the tribunal that his wife sent him This message has nothing to do with that innocent man because today I have suffered a lot in a dream because of him, but the chief priests and elders persuaded the crowd to ask Barabbas and execute Jesus, which of the two?
You want me to let you go ask the governor Barabbas they answered what will I do then with Jesus who is called the messiah Pilate asked everyone answered crucify him why what crime has he committed ask Pilate but they shouted louder crucify him when Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere but Instead, a commotion was breaking out. He took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. I am innocent of this man's blood. He said it is his responsibility. All the people responded. His blood is on us and on our children. Then he released Barabbas. but he had Jesus flogged and handed him over to be crucified then the governor's soldiers took Jesus to the praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him, they stripped him naked and put a scarlet cloak on him and then they twisted a crown of thorns and They put it on his head, they put a staff in his right hand, then they knelt before him and mocked him, Hail, king of the Jews!
They said they spat on him, took the staff and hit him on the back. head again and again after having mocked him, they took off his cloak and put his own clothes on him, then they took him to crucify him. When they came out, they met a man from Cyrene named Simon and forced him to carry the cross. They arrived at a place called Golgotha, which means the place of the skull. There they offered Jesus to drink wine mixed with gall, but after tasting it he refused to drink it. When they crucified him, they distributed his clothes by casting lots and sitting down.
They watched him there, above his head, they put the written accusation: This is Jesus, the king of the Jews. Two rebels were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left. Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, "You are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days save yourself come down from the cross if you are a child of god in the same way the chief priests the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him he saved others they said but he cannot be saved himself he is the king of Israel let him come down now from the cross and we will believe in him he trusts in god let god rescue him now if he wants because he said I am the son of god in the same way the rebels who were crucified with They also insulted him from noon until three in the afternoon darkness covered the entire earth around three in the afternoon Jesus shouted with a loud voice eli eli lama which means my god my god why have you abandoned me when some of the Those who were there heard this and said that he is calling for Elijah.
Immediately, one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff and offered it to Jesus to drink the rest. He said, now, leave it alone, let's see if Elijah comes. to save him and when Jesus had cried out again with a loud voice he gave up his spirit at that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom the earth shook the rocks split and the tombs broke the bodies of many saints who had died were resurrected came out of the tombs after the resurrection of Jesus and entered the holy city and appeared to many people when the centurion and those who were with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and everything that had happened, they were terrified and exclaimed surely He was the son of God.
Many women were there watching from afar. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to attend to his needs. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of Zebedee's children. At nightfall, a rich man came. from Aramatia named Joseph who had become a disciple of Jesus going to Pilate asked for the body of Jesus and Pilate ordered it to be given to him Joseph took the body wrapped in a clean linen cloth and placed it in his own new tomb that he had dug in the rock , he rolled a large stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and Mary Magdalene left and the other Mary was sitting there in front of the tomb the next day the other After the day of preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate, sir, They said, let us remember that while he was still alive, the deceiver said that after three days I will resurrect, so give the order to secure the tomb until the third day, otherwise his disciples can come and steal the body and tell the people who has risen from the dead.
This last deception will be worse than the first. Take a pilot on duty. He answered. Go and make the tomb as safe as you know. So they went and made the tomb. secure by putting a seal on the stone and setting the guard Matthew chapter 28 after Saturday at dawn on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb there was a violent earthquake an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and went At the tomb he removed the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning and his clothes were white as snow.
The guards were so afraid of him that they trembled and became as if dead. The angels said to the women, do not be afraid because I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified he is not here he has risen just as he said come and see the place where he lay then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead and is going before you to Galilee there you will see him now I have told you With that said, the women hurried out of the tomb, scared but full of joy, and ran to tell their disciples.
Suddenly, Jesus found them. Greetings. He said. They approached him. They put their feet together and worshiped Him, then Jesus said to them, do not be afraid, go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, there they will see me. While the women were on their way, some of the guards entered the city and told the chief priests everything that had happened. happened. When the chief priests met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money telling them that they should say that his disciples came during the night and stole it while we were sleeping.
If this report reaches the governor he will satisfy him and keep him out of trouble, so the soldiers took the money and did as they were told and this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this day. Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them. to go when they saw him they worshiped him but some doubted then jesus came to them and said all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you and I will certainly be with you always until the end of time.
