. a blog that already has dedicated traffic, is a problem that almost every affiliate throughout history has faced and there are ways to solve it.

How do I know? Because I'm in the industry. I have been in the industry for over twenty years. and I know how this works so here's the thing about affiliate marketing: a lot of people think that the only way to get started is if you have content and when they say content, they mean a paper bag or a website that has articles about and links and things like that, but really what matters in affiliate marketing is building an audience and I'll tell you why there's a distinction between those two things. Creating a website only implies that you have a space in which you are creating content, but that content actually attracts followers, they are attracting visitors, those visitors are your audience, that audience has the intention and their intention is to consume your content and make a buy, hopefully, if you're doing things right, at least right now, that content should be available. the form of a blog or a website that has articles.

Know that you can build an audience in several different ways. You can build an audience on YouTube by creating videos like these. You can create review videos. product reviews. You could talk about something you want. If I'm passionate about a hobby, I talked a lot about emerging Tesla blockchain smart home technologies on one of my other channels and that's how I build my audience and that audience usually, because of the things I talk about, has purchase intent and , so I can monetize that audience by placing affiliate links, now you can go to the only other place you can do it and you can also easily do it on places like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you can organically rank things where you can make things go viral, which is harder than that.

It sounds, but a lot of this is going to be kind of slow work, with anything that works and is good in life, you're going to have to work and put in the work and I think that's where a lot of people abandon you, you look down. search results for affiliate marketing and you see all these videos it's like get a Lambo, make a million dollars a year, get your first 500 dollars in 24 hours, it's all nonsense, I'm not sure you can do it, but It probably won't be. using promotion and promotion techniques will not be sustainable in the long term you will not build a brand that you are proud of in the long term you will be on the edge of your seat every night wondering when the affiliate networks are going to shut you down for all the things of breach you are doing, none of us want that, we want a legitimate business that builds a brand that is sustainable in the long term so you can start making money now but also grow that. into something real that becomes a career and hopefully at the same time you're talking about a topic that you're passionate about and that you love, and that's when it becomes a real business, so again, it doesn't matter what the platform.

It is not necessary to have a blog or a website, but what you need to do is start today. Now that I've gotten those kinds of long rants out of the way, how do you get started once you have this platform? So once you start building that audience on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, wherever it is, how can you monetize it now that these affiliate networks are there and they won't accept your site because it's not a blog that you don't want? I don't have that much traffic, luckily there are several places you can go including Viglink and Skimlinks.

I know a lot about these companies because I've helped build some of the systems they work with, so let's move on. and go deeper and show you how the signup process works if, for example, you have a YouTube channel instead of a more traditional website. Let's take a look, so what I'm going to do now is walk you through the registration process. viglink now viglink was recently bought by a company called sovereign so it now has the sovereign trading brand but you will still go to viglink calm for now until everything merges and migrates together and through viglink you will be able to register. seventy thousand retailers, which gives you a big jump over everyone else, what you can do is use those 70,000 retailers to find out which ones convert well for you and if there's one that's particularly good, you can contact them later and create a direct relationship, although in many cases this may not be necessary because viglink is sovereign.

The commerce is so big that they work with so many large scale publishers that have higher rates than most people can get directly for those merchants, take Walmart as an example, so if you sign up for the Walmart program today Through rackets and shared links you get a 4 percent commission rate, while through viglink sovereign trading you can get a twenty-four percent rate, so many times it makes sense to just go through an aggregator like viglink or skim links Skimlinks. It's a very similar setup, they don't have as good rates on a lot of the programs, but if you're in the UK for example, they're stronger there, so UK publishers may want to use Skimlinks for publishers. from the US, you would probably see it's more like one big link, let's take a look at the viglink signup process and what it takes to get started and how you should do it, so the first thing you're going to want to do is head over to the site I'm going to put a link in the description so you know how to get there and click sign up now when you go to sign up you can sign up with an email or you can sign in with Google so go sign in with Google assuming you have an account Gmail.

Once you are inside, it will ask you a series of questions and I will help you with that. Which of the following best reflects where you publish your content? Of course, since we don't. If you have a website or blog, we will select social media. The next step will ask you to enter your social media profile URL again. Viglink knows that not everyone has a website or a blog and there are still plenty of great ways to get started, even if you don't have one of those things, so what you're going to do is go to the other window and copy the URL to your YouTube channel, so if you have YouTube, for example, you come here and you can click on your channel that will give you this URL you will copy it and put it here right now if you are on another platform if you are on Instagram just enter the URL of your Instagram profile Twitter profile URL again Facebook If you have a page that you are promoting or a group, you can just show the group or the page URL here as well and it will give you some examples like ice on where you are here, you will click on the next step. and then apart from social media where else will you promote viglink monetized links.

Now all locations will promote affiliate links so obviously social media has already verified this since we said we are a social media person. Then you can say: Well, I also have a blog. I also have an email newsletter, so you can start picking out some of these if you have a mobile app or something else, areas that you want to stay away from, if you can. They are coupon sites and like Chrome extensions or toolbars, not that they are inherently bad, but you won't have access to as many programs that way and if you try to trick them when you sign up, they will find out anyway because I audit their traffic , so go ahead and be as honest as possible.

This will just help the people at viglink know which programs they should approve you for right away, so if you have these things, select them; otherwise now it doesn't matter what the main content type is. on your site, this is your main vertical or niche that you're going for, so for me, I'm going to go see, we're going to go to consumer electronics because a lot of the things that I do are products. check that kind of stuff and then congratulations your account is now under review what happens after this is important so since you are new to the net what viglink will do is go ahead and review your youtube profile. social media profile make sure it looks legit make sure you've submitted make it look like you're doing something right they want to make sure you're not being fraudulent essentially so there are a couple of things you can do you can install the bookmarklet but what What I would do instead is install the Chrome extension which is not officially on the website yet, so we'll do a couple of things here first.

I'm going to show you how to create an affiliate link using your links anywhere and this is something that you can post on any social media site and then I'm going to show you how to do the same thing but with the Chrome extension so if you click create affiliate link, it will take you to this page called on any page, so when you go to the page anywhere, this is very simple, you can grab a link from any retailer that you are approved for and let's say you want to go to Walmart , you can go to Google, you can find a product, so I'm going to take a link to winter clothing.

I'm going to put that link here, so I'll just paste it. This is all. This is a Walmart link to seasonal clothing. You can add custom tracking, so this will help you. later in analysis to see where the traffic is coming from, so you could say like Walmart YouTube underlines YouTube and then optimizes the link optimizing the link is interesting because what they do is try to find out if more than one retailer sells the exact same product, so if you were to link to a Dell laptop or more specifically, let's say like an iPhone 11, let's say there are 10 retailers on the viglink network selling the same iPhone 11, they will choose and send your link to the one who will pay the highest commission. rate for give and click, which is great, so I usually leave it optimized.

I also usually shorten my links with bitly, so I click on that option and you create and you'll get your viglink anywhere right away, which you can just copy. and then go to YouTube, Facebook wherever and now when you're creating your videos or content on those platforms, you can just put this affiliate link and it will track the sales to your profile now since your account is still under review. What happens is you go ahead and do a couple of test clicks through that link, so what you want to do is take this link, put it somewhere on your YouTube profile, Instagram wherever, and then click on it a couple of times.

Well, what it will do is send a return signal to viglink that says Hello, this person has placed a non-affiliate Anywhere link on their social profile that they signed up for. Let's go ahead and review to see if it looks good and that will help your account get approved faster if you just sit here. and wait for them to come back to you and you don't generate any links, you don't put any links on your social profile and you don't generate any clicks, they won't approve your account as quickly as possible. It's going to be a longer, longer process, whereas if you do this, it's usually 24 hours and you're up and running, so go ahead and do it and then the other thing you're going to want to do is look for Commerce Chrome sovereign. extension, so look for the sovereign Commerce Chrome extension that will take you to the Chrome Store.

You will have the option to download it. I already have it installed, so it's not a big deal and now the good thing is any website you go to. up in the toolbar you will see this yellow two stripe logo which is a sovereign logo and then you will see this star next to it which indicates that you can monetize this retailer and when you click on the extension it will go to give you a little link to any page you're on, so whatever product you're looking at, you can just copy it and then post it on social media.

The other cool thing is that you will get coupons, so if there are any coupons for this retailer, there is free two day shipping at Walmart, there is a free site to store the shipping and you can also grab and copy a link for that, so any coupons that exist for any retailer you're looking at, you'll also get them right in the Chrome extension, you won't have to go anywhere else and dig them up, so there's a great way to access them anywhere. Link that can be used on any of your social media profiles. It's also a really easy way to get.

Coupons and other things go quickly and the good thing is that it will tell you that on average you will earn thirty-four cents per click on Walmart, but that does not mean that for every click you make you will earn thirty-four cents. but what that means is that as you generate moretraffic to Walmart on average you can expect commissions to earn around thirty-four cents per click, you could earn twelve dollars for a commission or six dollars and eight dollars, but in the long run that will equate to about thirty-four cents per click and that is an average of the entire network that has been calculated, so it is the easiest way to getI started without a blog or website and hey, if you have a blogger website, this is still pretty good, all of these tools still apply to you.
