What if Minecraft Giants could do redstone?

Apr 06, 2024
What if the

giants

could

make Redstone now? I know some of you are thinking

what

the heck is a giant, well a giant is Gigantes, it's very big and to understand how big these things are, here's a scale melon, yeah, they're pretty. Huge, you can barely see the melon, so

what

if one of these

giants

could

make

redstone

? What kind of base would they build? First, first entry. I have a location. I have a giant. Now I need to build the door around it. Giant and I want to do this in what I would describe as a Looney Tunes style in the sense that it's in the shape of the Giant, so I think something like this should work, we have a little space for the arms.

It goes up and around like this, yes, after a little fiddling, this is absolutely perfect. Now the widest point is seven blocks wide, which is more than doable with flying machines. Well, how close is our hitbox? So if we had, okay. Assuming so, I can't place any blocks there, which means that anything past this point will start interacting with our giant, but luckily that shouldn't be a problem because our last piston can probably go here, ah. The Observer through the Observer. You need to go somewhere interesting. I think we could probably extend it a little more.

More Interesting Facts About,

what if minecraft giants could do redstone...

How many blocks are five nine ten eleven? Oh, easy, sure, let's give this first little one a test so our door is open and our door is closed, I mean. I think you love it when things in life are simple. I'll tell you what, although I'll never get used to the sound of Honey's blocks being placed, it's probably the most disgusting thing. In the game I just realized that I was completely on autopilot and designed a door that would completely stick to itself if there were only four colors of sticky blocks, so let's go back to the drawing board, but it was just a very visit. fast because we keep things fundamentally the same.

I just made the door a little bigger and pushed our giant over half a block so it's still centered and actually looks much better now. I just need to connect all of these, which should now be done, oh dear, oh dear. I didn't make a backup, but it was completely rebuilt and with some slight sync adjustments, everything seems to be working. It has taken me an embarrassing amount. It took me a long time to build this simple door, but I hope that now that it is finished, it should be like this. Yes, that is incredibly satisfying.

I mean, it's as satisfying as I wanted. I'm very satisfied with that, so now I decorate. Gosh this is by far the hardest part of the video for me okay oh yeah I'm almost definitely in the final stages and doing this has taken me a long time but I have to say the end result looks really cool and I've It gave way to some little things that we're now going to build Redstone systems for. Imagine walking over the hill and seeing that, though seriously, I'm pretty proud of this, okay, enough of that fancy pants construction stuff, let's start with some serious Redstone. work with feeding tubes.
I suppose a mob as big as a giant would need to eat a lot of food, so we're going to provide it in the form of cows that will be sent through these pipes and meet a rather unwelcome man. and a horrible ending in this chamber before their insides are thrown from the ceiling into this giant's mouth sounds delicious, why can't they just eat vegetables? Guys anyone looks like this and I wouldn't have to build this horrible machine so I have both sets of Cow Dispensers set up that work and this one works too please don't flood or break any of my Redstone.
This looks pretty good and it also looks great from the outside, so now that we have both sides ready, let's see how good it is. Our little cow dispensers actually work It probably wasn't meant to happen Why does this side work so well? What happened here? Did I leave a hole? I definitely left a hold for the night. Excellent. I would definitely count it as an 8 out of 10 success, though I mean. This might be one of the most fun systems I've ever created and it seems to work pretty well, so some of the cows get a little stuck here, but eventually I figure they'll make it across, if not, they will. drown and die, which I guess is fine, so now the question is do we set these cows on fire or blow them up or set them on fire and then blow them up.
There's really only one right answer to that question: So our cow catches fire, that's the question: the cow comes in, oh my gosh, it's almost too effective. I think the guy is absolutely destroyed. This is good. This is good. A little fire and then it goes out. She is a smart cow, unfortunately her intelligence. he's not going to protect it from the main event which of course is being destroyed and I have to say this might be the messiest and ugliest Redstone I've ever made in my entire life if this is bad, but the concept is simple, all the same.
The circuit that detects cows to set them on fire will also detect cows to blow them up, it's a ridiculous phrase, but of course you can't just dispense TNT everywhere, so this here is a cooldown timer to make sure. that our TNT has been dispensed completely exploded before another piece of TNT can be dispensed because we don't want too many explosions up here, let's give this some time, it didn't work due to an oversight, that oversight was I forgot. I was stupid, but now we should get back to the action, press the button, feed the Giants, okay, the cows are rising in what I will always think is the most ridiculous system in the world and now a lot of them are fighting, it's okay, okay, the fire system.
It's working well the explosions seem to be working pretty well too I mean this is horrible this is horrible in so many ways our giant is being fed he's not even eating him look look at everything that's going on with you buddy it's minimum you can do. is consuming these things, oh my God, that's terribly, terribly successful. I spoke too soon on the successful front. I spoke very. I'm trying to make a small modification, it's not going well, so let's move on. This is a small one, but I really want to do it. Being able to look the Giant in the eye, so I'm looking at these stairs right here and I'm thinking that if we could push them up, say probably about one, two, three, four, five, six blocks, maybe even seven blocks, then we really can.
Have a conversation with the friend now. I think I have a way to do this using an old cubic hamster circuit that I really hope still works. Bad news. I couldn't get it to work underground, but let's see if I can do it. work on the surface, yeah, that's definitely doing what I want, it's so broken, I mean, if I can, if I can control this, we could be a winner, my god, it's going to be hard to control control test number one, hmm, control. test number two, that's just a working plate, press the button again, maybe everything, oh my goodness, that's pretty good.
I just need a little more pulse extensor action and I think, ah, too much pulse extensor, a long time later, I mean, seriously look. This mess is probably one of the worst Redstone I've ever made and it's the second time I've said that in this video which is a little scary but now everything works if I press the button and walk towards our little honey blocks they push around up and we can talk to the giant, we are like at eye level, he still looks very big, but at least we are closer to him, it is a thousand times better than being down here and, obviously, To make a little pillar of honey blocks disappear, we just have to hit the van again, the whole thing retracts to the floor and then does some fun stuff at the bottom and eventually fixes itself.
I would say it is a great success. so let's move on to what is possibly the most challenging part of this Redstone build. Hopefully you've already noticed that a giant is essentially an enlarged zombie, so what I want to do is create a giant shrinking device, so this will involve pushing our giants into another room, so I'm not going to do any command lock. I don't want to kill the giant and then summon it again because that's not particularly exciting. I'm going to push the giant into another room and then have a zombie appear where the giant used to be and that's going to happen behind closed doors, so it's going to be like a magic trick, a really stupid, dumb magic trick.
Now our giant's hitbox is almost exactly four blocks wide, so I think if I put some ice on the ground and then throw the giant back through an open door, then we can put it in a small compartment and then all we have to do is make our little zombie pop out and then, of course, we just have to do the opposite when we want to unshrink our giant. I have a box around me. Okay, let's get to work, oh my god, there were a lot of giants there. How many giants were there? When did that happen?
So my command crashes. to summon the giant is here, I must have accidentally turned it on at some point and now we have tons of giants. I really hope this giant travels very far, so there's the hitbox, so if I press this button here, yeah, that has worked absolutely perfectly fine, so I'm going to have one of these on this side, there will also be another one inside hence it will do the opposite, it will launch our giant into this chamber on this side, it's quite a lot easier than the one on this side because it has to be hidden in the floor, so now it's time for the piston door, which should To be pretty and simple, we just have a bunch of double piston extenders all stacked and moving. slime blocks so now we have the sweet closing and opening that has now been mirrored on the other side and I think we can all agree that these doors always look absolutely amazing and now I have also connected all the timing circuits .
So, in theory. We could have a system that works here if we get a giant. When I press this button, our giant should appear and be stored in this storage chamber. Well, I think it's safe to say it's gone remarkably well. We just made our giant disappear. from the camera and then if I press the button again the giant should reappear where we started. Okay, we need a little more delay. The modification has been made. Press the button. The giant doors close behind him and he is absolutely in the right place. Yes, so when I press the button. press this button, the doors have to close, that circuit has to activate, then we have to make a zombie come out and then the doors have to open and the same goes for shrinking the giant.
I also want to add some animations and sound. effects on these Redstone lamps there is still a lot to do, but our big gate circuit is now connected to the shrinking giant circuit, so that's the first part. The completed Redstone lamps are starting to work and look very stylish. Now I also have the little melody. that plays and now the zombie circuit is activated. I think we might be done, so it's time for the big reveal. Here is our Temple of the Giant. Now, if we press this button here, the door will open and reveal our big friend.
I mean, look at it. It looks fantastic, it also looks a little hungry, so if we press this button, that will feed our Giants what I can only assume is about a billion cows, now they will set them on fire and they will also explode on camera. there and all your drops will be transmitted to this guy. I mean, this is potentially one of the most ridiculous circuits I've ever built and I've built a lot of ridiculous circuits in my time, clearly we fed this guy a little too much, in fact, I'm going to ask him, you know, we fed him from eating too much.
It's a little awkward to talk to him from down here, so if I press this button, that allows me to rise further up to eye level. You can actually have a conversation with the guy, but if talking to a 40-foot-tall zombie is still too frustrating for you, then you can press this button right here that will shrink our Giants down. You can hear all the note blocks kicking and lighting the Redstone lamps. and there it is, there it is and it's on fire, it immediately caught fire, it immediately caught fire and it's coming for John. I mean, that was a very short life our little giant lived there, luckily thanks to the power of Redstone. can really raise our giant from the dead, everything just closes with a kick, the doors close and there he is, the big boys were in hand.
I gained a very small detail that I want to mention before we go. These Redstone lamps on this side really work, it seems. MyComputer cannot handle the right side of the Redstone lamps. I do not know what is happening. Hey, we've got another little giant, so here we go. That's what would happen if the giants could make Redstone. I hope you like the video and I'll see you in the next one.
