foreign simplification how do we

start

that process? Simplifying is a two-part task, first we have to address our habits and work to change them and second, we have to get rid of the excess. Habits include things like picking up after ourselves and washing dishes. every day fold the clothes and put them away, don't buy out of boredom or as a recreational activity and then there is tidying up and when I say tidying up I mean getting it out of our

home

s, out of our lives, out of our possession, as Joshua Becker says. Give it up, we don't want to reorganize it, reorganize it, whatever it is, we want to get rid of it, it's an excess, it's not necessary, so when we eliminate it from our lives, that makes our lives easier, first let's talk about changing habits , so first we have to do it. get into the habit of picking up regularly I didn't like putting things away so I wouldn't do it I just wouldn't do anything I thought I'd put it away and I'll do it later as if I ever did it Do you want to do it later?

Who wants to get back to it later? How's that for being lazy when you're simply creating more work for yourself? So deciding to pick up what we did ourselves puts the power back in our hands when we leave things lying around. Are we allowing it to control us? Does that cup of coffee really care if it's outside or in the sink or in the dishwasher or in the cupboard? No, but if I leave her in the living room it's like she's making fun of me. if it says I'll just sit here and wait until you take care of me but you'll have to then the first habit of picking up after ourselves and the next would be washing the dishes after every meal I used to do.

start

ed washing the dishes after every meal. I learned that it doesn't really take that long. All this time the fear was more than the act of doing it, building it in my mind was more exhausting than just doing the dishes and there are no more of them mocking me as if they were saying, "Oh, you still have to deal with me because they ".

home

and life and embrace minimalism.
where do i start to declutter my home
It helped me avoid things like HGTV. What I was looking at on Pinterest. I can still look up recipes on Pinterest, but not home remodeling projects. not for furniture not for decoration it's better if I don't look at magazines but those home improvement shows were probably the hardest thing for me because when I watched them I was dissatisfied with my home and what I had and the purchases fueled that discontent because, well , marketers are good, they're good at what they do, they make you feel like you're not going to be happy until you have this and then you understand it and you get that initial rush of like Yeah, this was really fun and I've got something cool to do. me, but it doesn't last, it goes away and then we feel guilty about getting rid of it later, so it's better if we can avoid acquiring things in the first place, so we have to find other things to do to occupy our time, it could be reading, doing crafts, going for a walk, something that gives us that change, something that we can enjoy, that is not always bringing things into the house and that does not necessarily give us that quick release of endorphins like when you buy something or buy something on sale, but as you adapt to this new lifestyle you will enjoy those things, okay so let's talk about

declutter

ing the excess, so if you're in this place,

where

do I start?
I'm so overwhelmed. start with the habits, just wash the dishes and then go back and watch this video again after you've done it for a couple of days and then start tidying up. I recommend starting the organizing process in the kitchen work category by category, so if you are working on the glasses, you would take all the glasses out of the cupboard and take a good look, which ones are my favorites and you already know which ones are your favorites, which ones does the whole house, which ones they grab and so you can take them out, put them back in the closet and then what's left is the excess that you can get rid of and I know it's more fun to just flit between different closets and say, oh, what can I tidy up? here today, but you're going to progress a lot faster if you pull out the entire category, look at everything in that category, pull out your favorites, put them back in the closet and get rid of everything that's left on your counter and put away. sentimental items for the end, when we think about

declutter

ing and we think about simplifying the purchase of our homes, we usually think about the crappiest jobs we have like, oh, I need to declutter those boxes I took out of mom's house after she passed away or we need to get rid of all the baby clothes you know my kids are 20 and I don't really need them but don't stop just work on the main common areas do the kitchen do the living room do the bathroom and then start focusing on little things like the bedroom, the closet, the other rooms you have, save the sentimental items for last, sentimental items are much more emotionally charged and will take time to sort.
Oh no, I was wrong. I was wrong about everything. I put the adhesive on the wrong end. I thought I understood it. I thought I checked it. Oh my gosh, oh, it's not that bad. Okay, the crisis was averted. Okay then, because the sentimental elements are oh. No, what's going on here, these are down, these are down, I did it like I said, right? But they have to go, that's this one, this one is up and down. The painting is much less challenging since I'm making a video. then when putting something together, it's not me, it's not user error, they screwed them in the wrong direction, okay, I'll talk about this in a minute, but if you ever decide to buy one of these on Amazon, I don't recommend this one because They put them together wrong, I think they are stuck there, so I don't think I can change it.
No, I can't remove it either. Oh no, I can, what is he doing? Oh, it fell apart, but you. I can't turn it, you can't, you can't turn it around. I wonder if I can put it together anyway. If they come out crooked, they might come out crooked and then I'll have to do it myself if they don't. job. I'm going to have to send it back to Amazon. It cost 40 dollars. I knew it was cheap, but I figured the parts would at least be correct anyway. Well, first declutter the non-essential items in your house, so go about your daily life. life easier streamline your kitchen streamline your living room streamline your closet so that everything you do in your daily life is simplified everything goes smoothly you know

where

everything is you know where everything belongs when you want to get something back you can get it easily when you want to save things, there's a space to do it, even if you limit the amount of decor you have or the amount of furniture you have, it makes vacuuming easier, it makes dusting easier, everything goes faster and you just makes life easier.
I'm going to try and see if I can get this to work right, that's it, no it's not going to work, none of the things are in the right places, this is ridiculous, oh my god they labeled the right parts. incorrectly, okay, try again, these two line up correctly, but then they're off, so I'm going to separate them all. I'll see if we can make it work. I really wanted this to work, I guess. I may have to return it, my fingers are going to get completely worn out taking these things apart. Okay, I'm working on an organizational system for my pantry and we'll see if I actually get one today or not, but if you're organizing it.
You want to sort out all the excess first before purchasing any type of organizational items, the reason is that most of us don't need organizational items, we can easily organize things after we have sorted because there are less things, so if you think carefully about the cups of coffee. Yeah, it's hard to keep all the coffee cups in the closet, so we could buy hooks and shelves, and you know, double our space in our closet, and if you declutter first, if you get rid of all the 50 20 37 cups of extra coffee, then you only have 10 cups of coffee, that will be much easier to sort and organize.
Now I'm exhausted, it will be much easier to organize if there are only 10 coffee cups at that time, then we don't need all the hooks and shelves and all that, we just have to store our 10 coffee cups, so don't buy any containers , don't buy any label makers, don't buy anything to organize it until you've sorted it and then after you've sorted it. Reward yourself with whatever you need, you need a drawer divider. Great, get a drawer divider, but you'll know exactly what you have and exactly what you need to keep those spaces in an organized way.
Actually, all of this is lining up now, but it's going to continue. in the same direction, so they're fine, but once, oh God, I don't know, maybe I'll give up. They have to be like this, the knobs are on the inside right, so that's what the little baskets hook into and they don't. Okay, so if I turn it around, this is what it should be, like basket hooks. I like that on this side, oh no, my microphone basket hooks are like that, but the reviews on this were good on Amazon, they were good, let me see if I can flip.
I honestly have no hope, nothing seems to work very well, okay, next point out the questions to ask while you're ordering, like I said, taking everything out and looking at it, choosing your favorites, you can ask yourself which ones I love. enough to keep it, but the other questions I like to ask are is it useful to me, do I really enjoy it and does it help me live the life I want to live the life I want to live is for me to be present with my family doing things I want to feed to my children with healthy foods I want to spend time with them so I can play or sit and do crafts or go on a hike or I don't know anything about that spend time with people and so on.
Does that help me? Does this article help me do it right? If not, then it's probably taking time away from those activities that you want to do because if it doesn't help us live that life, it usually distracts us from living that life. I'm not saying that we should discard everything if it's not some kind of useful tool for us because there are things that we like to have in our house, we like to have pictures on the walls, it feels like. nice, but if we have 50 pictures on the walls or a hundred things on the walls then it distracts us from spending time with our family because it requires more work, it requires dusting and if we are not dusting, then it makes us feel like we should because we do.
We notice and always think that every time we walk by we think oh yeah I need to dust off the photos and that doesn't help us if you need motivation to declutter your house join a challenge I offer a free annual challenge where you get rid of it number of elements than the year, so next year we will remove 2023 elements in the year 2023. You can get the free download. I'll put the link in the video description below. a PDF explains the very basic rules that aren't really rules or any kind of guidelines and I also have a Facebook group that currently has about 44,000 people who have been participating in this tidying challenge.
I usually publish a new chart every December. mid-month and if you sign up to receive the current chart I will email you the new one as soon as I have it ready. My goal today was to put together this over the door organizer that holds things pretty deep because I need a little more space in my pantry. I don't have a pantry. Our house was built in 1882 and there is no storage space. All the storage space is here. Because we added it, there were two closets, one in each room. all the storage space there is, so this is our pantry, it's just a shelf that my husband put on the stairs and I buy at Costco, so things spill and come out, they take over the stairs and I don't.
I don't want them to be a tripping hazard so I bought this to put different cans and containers in and it's just not going to happen today because they didn't build it properly. Can you see that they are going in the same direction? The knobs are uh. That's all, I have two duplicates, that's what I have, what kind of these go. I'm so upset with it that I can't remove the end. I tried unscrewing it, it won't come off just for me to twist it. Oh, I don't know, they could see if Ryan can handle it, but I'll probably just send it back and K wouldn't recommend it.
Okay, that's it for me. I will link the annual challenge onthe video description below alien
