Studios Kevin Hello Kevin, we love you 3000. It's been three years and more than a thousand days since you stood on this stage. How excited are you to share the next steps? I'm incredibly excited. I love that cold open. I just saw it three years ago, we were here and it's been a long time since then and there were times when I thought maybe that's it, maybe I'll ever be of drawing room age again with all of you and the response, thanks to God yes. You know, let's talk, let's talk about these last three years from a Marvel perspective, when I was on this stage in 2019, we introduced phase four of the Marvel cinematic universe and, believe it or not, almost everything we announced that day was done reality and you.

We have all met characters like shangshi. New and incredible characters like eternal ones like Elena entered the MCU. You met Miss Minutes, who started our entire show today. Kate Bishop. Maya Lopez. Kamala and Khan. Even a new Captain America. And since we were here. Years ago we added a few more things to contend with, of course a movie called Spiderman No Way Home and a show called Moon Knight and of course Miss Marvel, and now believe it or not, we're nearing the end of phase four when She, Hulk, lawyer, comes out and this phase four of November comes to an end with Black Panther Wakanda.

This space has been about resetting the MCU, meeting all these amazing new characters, and culminating in us getting to Wakanda for good, but what's fun to do here? is to talk a little bit about the future, maybe you're saying, well, if Black Panther is the end of phase four, what the hell is phase five, so I thought we'd spend a few minutes going over what we have in store, you know. Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantomania begins phase five in February. We arrive at Disney Plus Secret Invasion. It is an honor to say that finally Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 we are filming right now our new series for Disney Plus Echo. and I can't wait for you to meet the four characters we're producing at Marvel, the sequel to Captain Marvel 2.

Season 2 of Loki is shooting right now, the movie we announced at the end of our last panel, Blade starring Mahershala. ali and we start filming this october our series iron heart is part of phase five of filming right now we have already talked about the incredible return of catherine hahn in her own series agatha covan of chaos and I am very happy to confirm that sam wilson will be He will appear in the next Captain America movie called Captain America New World and completing phase five we have a series at Disney. Also, this is very special.

It will be a first series of 18 episodes. First season. It's like trying not to be a superhero, which is fun, I think Ginger, we know we saw Nikki a little bit in the trailer. Can you talk a little bit about who she is and what her friendship with Jennifer Walters is like?

Yeah. I still maintain on social media that I play Baby Groot's sister, yeah, whether that's true or not, um, but yeah, I love Nikki and I love her especially because she's Jen's ride-or-die type of friend and I love to see like this. uh friends who really love each other and that's like their love language and nikki likes to get into a lot of good trouble and encourage a lot of uh, I don't know, taking risks, I think in uh for uh for jen and for she-hulk so it's very exciting jamila titanius hi she what motivates her oh what motivates titania i would say jealousy and a desperate need for attention which i obviously have no experience i really had to pull it from somewhere um but yeah she is extremely annoying and i drew it for myself , so you're welcome kat, one thing that Marvel is known for is their cameos, their surprises, their movies and their shows, it's something we can absolutely look forward to, um, we have some amazing cameos, I think you know some of them, we have mark ruffalo and smart home, we have tim tim roth has the abomination, we have oh wong and you know, taking this show and bringing it to life was really about living up to Marvel's bar and creating something fun cinematic.

of cameos I won't say more because I don't want to get in trouble I'll let Kevin handle that We're all scared for Jessica We've seen a lot of exploration of the genre and tones, especially in the Marvel shows on Disney Plus, um how this was touched on a little bit, but how is She-Hulk different from other shows we've seen? Well, I think this is the first true half-hour Marvel television comedy. Do you agree, Kevin? I would agree, yeah, okay, so we agree, great, it's a lot of fun to take especially the existing special guest characters that we can't talk about and really let them explore a different aspect of their characters, especially characters that we've Seen in very dramatic roles and very serious movies that we like, let them have fun, it's really cool, I found out as I continue my quest to try to get everyone who would do it in trouble.

Do you like watching Jen team up or go head to head you know what I want to see I would really like to see some members of the force see that would be really fun but you know Tatiana should I stop getting everyone in trouble? I love it, did you bring anything for us today? Oh yeah, do you want to see something? I mean, it's a i i' I'm living the dream guys, I get to work with Sam on all these projects and being on the show with him has just been and yeah, let's applaud him because he's the greatest human being and then Ben Mendelsohn and Olivia Coleman and Emilia Clarke and Kingsley Bennett. Here I mean, it's what my life is, my life, it's great, um and uh, and everyone is so talented and the kindest humans, so it's been an amazing experience talking about secret invasion, yeah, I don't have a segway anymore, so it's good, it's already solid. secrets, I mean, my boss is here like he's standing, Kevin, come on here, we may have brought something, okay, no one else will see it except all of you in this room right now.

Galaxy NoI told you this backstage because I was saving it for this very real Guardians right now, Guardians okay, exactly ten years ago, this week I flew to Wilmington, North Carolina, to present Guardians of the Galaxy where we were filming Iron Man 3 Where exactly have you been filming for ten years?

This week I went and presented the film to Kevin and Lou. and then I had a very young car, it's been a good 10 years, James, that's cool and back then, you know, it was the beginning of this journey, I fell in love with these characters, they're not really superheroes, they're kind of outer space adventures, but really they're just a bunch of weirdos, outcasts, and weirdos like a lot of us, they saved the universe a couple of times, but they actually did it. What they do is save each other and when I started to tell that story I had a kind of end in sight, not perfectly, I didn't have everything perfectly planned but I knew where we were going with the rocket with the feather even with the nebula and the mantis and the other characters that hadn't appeared yet and this is the end of That Story, sorry, some stories aren't over, it doesn't mean everyone dies anyway.

I want to share with you a small glimpse of what we have. You know we finished about two months ago, so let's just show you a little bit. of something, let's see it right now, the guardians of the galaxy join us right now. Did I leave anyone backstage? Okay, James, you mentioned this at the beginning, that this is the third and potentially final Guardians movie as we know them. How did that guide your process? Well, I think it's really about telling a story between the three films with, you know, a couple of parallel adventures in some of the other universes, but I think it's really about a story, it's about the final art. which we start from the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy with Peter Quill with a rocket seeing where the nebula is going from where he started, which I think is a big surprise and you even know who started it like you know, you know, uh, saying one There are two lines in the first movie and now he's a main guardian of the galaxy, so this is the full story where I always wanted to go when I started.

I don't need to talk too much, but when I first talked about doing it. guardians of the galaxy and they told me about it I was like I don't know it sounds a little silly I mean I had met them but I thought it was going to end up looking like bugs bunny joins the avengers and like I was Driving home after that meeting , I suddenly realized: well, okay, if there's a talking raccoon, how is it real? I'm trying not to cry after watching that trailer that was so beautiful and amazing. Anyway, I think maybe we'll see a little bit. of hazy lightness this time as if maybe she was a little more fun. Can I say that? Well, I hope you find it funny, but you know she had a very cathartic experience with Thanos being removed from her life, so I think she might like to start. to form the personality that perhaps she should have and at the same time maintain a little bad because we cannot completely lose the bad, you always need a little bad, I am a kind of the opposite of the mantis, you have to protect her in everything cost, she's so sweet, I love her, yeah, what's her journey in this movie, yeah, yeah, same thing?

I'm so happy to be here and it's very uh I don't know what the journey is just uh uh so about the maintenance I guess I have to talk about mentis so she's still quirky and weird and uh but at the same time she gains more confidence and a sometimes she's angry and shows different colors that you haven't seen, she doesn't apologize and shows some fighting skills maybe anyway um yeah, sean, I don't want to make everyone cry, but as someone who has been a part of Guardians since the beginning , even some very important mocap.

What has been the most rewarding part of being part of this trilogy? Well, the truth is that the most rewarding part has been working with my brother and then. Honestly, it's true, but it expands, you know, over the course of three movies and it's gotten to a point where it's not just about the joy of working with him, but the joy of working with these other people that you know they are up. here with us and you see it, we're legitimately drowning backstage watching what we did, you know you like to watch what we do and it's because you know we care, I'm sorry, but we're fair and it extends to all of us um and it's what more beautiful to be able to work on something creative where your colleagues are all on the same page where we make something beautiful that people will respond to um I can never ask for anything more in my your career and it's been absolutely wonderful and I love all of you, honestly , James, how long have you been asking about Adam Warlock, since the beginning, yes, and he was almost on volume two and I'm glad he wasn't? because I think Will was only 11 years old.

Chad is from China. He is no longer with us physically, but his spirit, his passion, his genius, his pride and his culture and the impact he had on this industry, but we also inform him of our passion, this film has a lot of action, it has humor, it is a roller . It feels monumental to be back in Wakanda and to be ready to invite them back to Wakanda um yeah I mean we'll get to see more that's all I'll say without getting into trouble you know you'll just get to see more of Wakanda you the Wakanda universe is expanding and you have a lot to look forward to, same question, how does it feel to return?

Oh man, it's a blessing. We have all grown a lot as a family with our characters and we feel very honored to be able to bring this film. you and honoring your big brother at the same time, so now, what has it been like to see the impact Black Panther has had on so many? You know, I mean, I think one of the biggest moments that I can really name recently is watching these incredible artists just now, you know, I grew up in southern Africa, where my parents are from, in Zimbabwe, and always admiredAmerica and how it did things and how it made super superheroes on the stage and on the big screen and So to see that fusion, you know, even among this amazing college crowd, okay, to see all your cameras up, You are assimilating that culture and you are celebrating it, that to me is everything and that is what I have to be. part of lawrence, i'm so glad we can catch up with you here and there, but we're going back to wakanda.

Tell me how it feels, it feels like coming home because yeah, we spent a lot of time together, we trained together, we spent a lot of time working on Panther II , so it's a very safe space for us and I'm excited for you guys to discover what we filmed you're standing on the stage in the

After makayla and dominique, you can finally stand on stage to talk about it, how does this moment feel? I don't know, this is like the first moment to process the whole making of the movie, um. and seeing this

reminds me of the times I went to see Black Panther. I saw it three or four times in Ghana, I saw it in the United States, I saw it in England and there is something very unique that the film does to the

: the energy is So, it's not familiar to me and I think it has something to do with a black superhero accompanied by a clan of black superheroes and what that does for black people, so for me it reminds me of what an honor it was to support this cast.

In the second, you know that the Black Panther iteration will be a supporting role, a very, very sensitive, beautiful and delicate process, making your debut in Wakanda forever. In the same way, I think we all know the impact that bp1 obviously had on the world is indelible, it is indescribable, it is physical, emotional, mental and most of all spiritual, so I think being able to be a part of it by returning to the scream and to be a part of showcasing this beautiful new young mind and also doing all of that in the midst of highlighting, like you said, these beautiful stories from this very necessary perspective, it's a blessing, it's a gift and I remember that being here in front of all of you feels the important, the special and truly the blessed.
