love

making some

gift

s for friends and family and for my husband, so I'm packing some fun inspiration in today's video, full of

gift

ideas

that you would really like to

give

and the person receiving them would really like to receive them. They turned out really cute and inexpensive, but hopefully they're just a way to spread a little joy and

love

and brighten someone's day with the first gift idea I'm making, I'm using one of these

dollar

tree

s, kind of little faux chalkboard hangers with a clothespin, this really inspired me for this project, it's always so much fun to

give

personalized

gifts

so I wanted to spruce this up, super cute and be able to cut out some really fun personal pieces on top, so it

actually

comes as a cardboard in the center, so it's not too difficult to separate it.

I can just take it out and stick it on a piece of my favorite scrapbook. paper, I chose something really simple and simple so that everything I'm cutting out on the little clothespin or clothesline comes out like it did. I call it a clothesline, but you know what I mean, the little jute twine with the I put clothespins on it and I cut it to the right size and then I have this really cool pom pom ribbon that I bought at Walmart and they have it all the time in the tape section, but I find it very useful for so many projects you definitely could.

More Interesting Facts About,

I used the jute twine or rope again on top, but I just wanted to dress this up a little to make it look really good quality, so I'll glue it on top later, but first I wanted to go ahead and put everything up. my items in it to see how much slack I needed to give it and I picked up all these cool pieces from Dollar Tree and I tried to look for pieces that had a lot of texture and detail and I thought it was really fun to mix up these clothes pins because they had wooden ones and also the reds, so just putting everything in its place I feel like anything goes here.

I'm just taking out things I had bought. I took out pieces of the Valentine's cards. I have really cool 3D pieces and then I found those little truck notebooks. I was

actually

going to cut up the little truck, but then I thought how cool it is that you can write little messages in that notebook. You could add images if you wanted to spend more money. you could add an Amazon gift card or a Starbucks gift card or your favorite restaurant and cut out something fun, like maybe some movie tickets or something fun you have planned, but I'm just spreading them out, I think it looks very , very cute and like I say something that is perfect to personalize and really make one of your own or special for someone else and then to secure this around the top I hot glued it in place but I turned it upside down and I attached it with hot glue. and I secured it with some popsicle sticks so it doesn't fall over and then you have the hanger and it's still attached what's coming so I'm going to go ahead and leave that, but you could add a bracket or add a new one. hanging all the way up to the top would be cute but this is a really fun and inexpensive piece to make for someone really special and then I wanted to mix this video up and not only pack it full of DIY projects you can do but also some really cute

ideas

for gift baskets, so I'm making a couple different baskets in this video.

This one is more oriented towards a night that is as feminine as it is small. I found this little pink bucket at Dollar Tree and it looked like a little shower caddy so I thought it was perfect to go with this theme and then next I'm going to show you a red youthful Valentine's bucket that's more for a night of cinema, more like a husband or a boyfriend, but for this I put my paper filling there. and then I added some pink candy, so to keep with the pink theme, I found these adorable fuzzy socks at Dollar Tree.
They are so comfortable and I love them so much that I took the tags off so I could roll them up. put them in nice and tight and put them in there and then I love these new candles at Dollar Tree. They're like

dollar

target quality and they smell really good and then I add all the little Valentine's themed bath bombs and just try to fit all of this in there, I feel like making it really pretty and putting it together. I wanted to add some extra details so I put some hot glue on these dowels and attached them to these hearts.
These are chocolate, so I tried them. Blow on the hot glue just a little bit so it cools down and doesn't melt the chocolate and then put it in there and they look so cute stuck in all the holes and places to make it look like it's super full. The

tree

has the most adorable Valentine's Day cards. I love this camera of course and they look so cute every time you sign them and you can store them in the back. This is the men's version of the basket or something like a date night dollar basket. The tree has some really cool movies on right now so I wanted to be able to use them and put them together and that makes this gift look super, super cute so I picked out one of the biggest tubs that the dollar tree had that I could find and Once again I'm gluing the Styrofoam to the bottom because I'm going to push more rods down by covering them with the paper, but this time I'm using the longer rods because everything is going to be stacked. very tall this time, even though I'm using these huge hearts, they had hot tamales on them, which I thought was really cute and appropriate, so I'm hot gluing them on the back once again, the plastic wrap will be like I want draw it in a little bit, so I'm trying to be really careful and let it dry a little bit before piling on a ton of glue to really make this stay and dress it up a little bit more.
I wanted to add the little red truck around the front and I feel like This also makes it look more boyish but it looked really cute and you could modify it to lower it but it just sat there and since I'm not going to give it to someone outside from my house, so I don't really care. It did fall out, but I tried to put some fun game night-type things in here, so I added that little Ferris wheel card game as well as our favorite snacks that we eat with movies and then Dollar Tree had lots of Valentine's themed Candy that I added to the popcorn of course and to the movies and you can choose them as your action movies or even do this as a family with the kids and little cartoons in there they had some really nice movies.
I was very surprised. about how many movies they had for just a dollar, I feel like the hearts just elevated the basket and made it look so much better than just leaving it plain with a bunch of candy in it, but I love the look of it. It actually looks like a really fun gift to give with those hearts floating up there, they almost look like little mini balloons and then once again choosing the truck themed card I thought it was really cute and then I kept it in the back. from behind and I tried. to get to where the truck would be displayed but I couldn't find a way for it to stay there so I ended up sticking it in the back and then if you want to get more personal and do something more handmade and crafty looking I have a couple of really interesting ideas for you.
First, I am using this framework for out of office. They have some new ones now but any will work and I'm taking a razor blade and just scraping off the letters and that gives me the perfect little sign or shadow box to use. I love using script paper. It comes from the hobby lobby and I feel like it has a romantic aspect to it. It looks like an old love letter or something, so I press it. Down there, I mark it and cut it to size with hot glue. It wants to pull back because it didn't have a backing, so I have to hot glue some rods in the corner to get a really nice fit.
Pinterest always has the cutest ideas and for Valentine's Day everyone always wants you to order personalized initials on a tree that costs like 50 bucks, so I knew this was something we could make at home for just a couple of dollars, so after I got it My backing was put there and I wanted to paint it like the silhouette of a tree. Now I looked at Cricut and tried to find a tree that would work for this and I just didn't love any of them because I couldn't find one. branch that was sticking out enough to make this work so I thought I'd paint it, so you have to bear with me a little.
The tree looks a little shabby at first, but after you get it, it's like it fills you up. I feel like it looked a lot better and then it darkened the branches a lot, but this is really fun, it doesn't have to be perfect. Whoever you give this to will appreciate that it is a handmade gift, so I think it still turned out. It turned out really pretty, I tried to put some little leaves in there, but I feel like what really put this together was adding the longer branches sticking out from the edges so it doesn't look like a huge tree with just a couple of small branches, but it looks like a real tree. , very large, with real twigs or branches hanging around it and then for the little hearts, these are little felt hearts from the dollar tree and I glued a piece of jute twine and made them look like they were tied with a bow.
At the top, I left this blank to show you everything for video purposes, but you can definitely add your initials there. I think it would be too cute and even make it more personalized. I would definitely recommend not skipping this step, except for the black paint. You'll want to scrape especially if you're just using acrylic paint like I did with the glass so I'm taking some mod podge and going over it, if you're not very careful the mod podge will pick up even some of the dried paint so I tried to I went over the tree first to make sure I didn't have anything black on my brush and I brushed it and then I went over the clear glass, but I feel like this looks so pretty and romantic and kind of. really fun you can even say like a bedroom and then another fun version of this is to take one of the wooden frame signs and I'm actually going to remove this here but I'm actually going to save it so I wasn't trying.
I had to be as careful as possible, but I took out the little pieces that made it stick out because I thought it would be really fun to put it back and put some little key charms I have in there, so I once again covered the backing. I just mark it and cut it to size and then using my pom pom ribbon I hot glue it around the edges so none of the lime green shows through and this has extra details. I cut out the 3D piece and I took off the little pieces that make it stick and I'm going to glue them back underneath and then I'm going to glue that little bite piece right on top of it and then as you can see I'm using some of my keys that I bought in the lobby of hobbies a while ago.
Back and I've already used it on a couple of DIYs and obviously I'm going to cover that and then I'm going to put the little keys on some jute twine or jute twine and hang them from above. They were very heavy, so I wanted to nail them. with a little hot glue in place and then I was trying to decide if I wanted to add a bow on top of these, but I feel like it was too bulky and because the knots I put on the top were sticking a little. so far so I decided to leave it as is and I'm so happy I did and then I cut out a little piece of heart so you could say you could hang a photo from here or a gift card that would be really cool and then you could use it as a photo frame photos and then I decided to add the white on top just to give it a layered look and add a few more of these little felt hearts but a really cute romantic piece that would be fun. to give to your spouse but also to a friend.
