I EXPOSED THE WORLDS BIGGEST SUPERCAR SCAMMER

Apr 24, 2024
Car

scammer

s who used websites like Facebook to scam tens of thousands of pounds out of people like you and me were scammed out of 10,000 I was scammed out of 25 grand and arrested for attempted murder of £15,000 over 10,000 Facebook ads as scams , which means the chances of getting ripped off when buying your next motor are very likely, just like you. I always thought: how do people walk around the apartment? Well today I did it and oh my goodness it was a costly mistake. By 2023, people like you and me have lost over £500,000 to car scams. our guide and that's from Only One Bank and only on the Facebook platform, that's a massive 93% increase in just one year as frauds become more and more profitable, the number of scams found online is shooting, the way these ads pray against these.

Victims mainly through a price tactic

scammer

s find a real car for sale and post the same ad on another platform for a fraction of the price. It's that simple, then they repeat the process hundreds of times, then they sit and wait for a bite and This is exactly the scam I fell for, but we'll talk about that a little later. This may seem obvious and you might be able to spot from a mile away that listings like these are a scam, but we wanted to find out how many people are actually fooled by these two listings that are good to be true.

More Interesting Facts About,

i exposed the worlds biggest supercar scammer...

We're going to make a fake ad for ourselves, so we'll use this nice fat 500 that I found on Autot Trader. It's 283 million away so I hope they don't. knock on our door tonight it's a Katen 13,000 Mi and it's a plate 69 £8,750 they are selling theirs for now ours will be a little better than this because it won't be a caten anymore and I think half price yes, 4 and a half Grand bargain, we just copy the details from the real ad, copy and paste the description, add some bits of worn steering wheel and a nice cruise control and in a few minutes we have made a completely fake ad for someone else's car. it was easy for the world to see, we were even able to spend £7 to boost the advert, no questions asked and we are live, we will leave it for a few hours and see how many people message us to see if they want to buy and send a deposit for our beautiful half price car.
i exposed the worlds biggest supercar scammer
We checked how many dodgy ads there were currently on Marketplace and within 5 minutes we found seven ads, seven on Facebook Marketplace, all have the same template. and obviously they are all the same guy, all cars that are super super cheap and obviously fake, it's crazy if you think this scam is ridiculous, this is just the tip of the iceberg of what we discovered in the last few days in the world. Becoming a dangerous place, the worst part of falling for these scams is the terrible impact it has on the lives of normal people. My world was falling apart around me and I didn't know what I was going to do.
i exposed the worlds biggest supercar scammer
Cars are usually the second largest. purchase we make in our lives, so when scammers strike, it can have a huge financial impact on us, especially when borrowing a lot of money, usually your insurance does not cover you for theft by deception, which means that if getting scammed is your problem so you don't have a car but you still have to keep up payments even when the car is gone, less than 10 minutes after our fake ad went live we already had a hit that literally took a couple of minutes and then a few more. minutes of negotiations, our unsuspecting victim was ready to send us a deposit.
This is disgusting. Facebook, they need to understand this and find a way to see who is copying this format because this is bad. People are losing thousands of pounds daily. As? Do scammers take money from their victims like we did in our example ad? They ask you for a deposit, then they pretend there is a lot of interest in that car and they are about to sell it to someone else, so you rush to send them a deposit on a car that doesn't even exist and sometimes that can be thousands of pounds and this is exactly the tactic they used on me and I just didn't see it coming to understand how common this is.
I reached out on Instagram to share your stories and unfortunately there are many followers who fell for these clever tactics. This is James, he's 21 years old and he was trying to buy a Range Rover Sport. He was searching and searching and searching. I found this one and it was a little cheaper than the rest, but not too much to be like, you know, that's a little iffy, yeah, yeah. I can hear the kids in the background, the phone saying like n and things like that sound like a real person isn't. a scam, she's a basic G, she told him they were coming to pick him up on Saturday so I said I'm coming, I took the D, I came down on Friday and she oh you have to PIR Theos if you want. to beat him and I was like oh I don't know about that yeah now I said you know what I want the car so yeah so I'm there I paid 4 and a half grand and there was a knock on the door and I told the lady I'm here for the Range Rover and she said oh no and she said like you've been escalated oh like she said no, seriously, she said she had four people this morning when the other guy was out, another guy he turned. and she paid six thousand dollars, so now there are six people, all paying thousands, the minimum is 2 and a half thousand dollars, so they easily made 35 40,000 in one day.
It's an alarming example of how many people fell for that one scam, but it gets worse, let's go back to our fake ad and see how many people we could have scammed 26 messages and that's just on our list, so if we multiply that by we already know that There are tens of thousands of scam listings on Facebook right now, so this is serious. The numbers say, according to statistics, that £500,000 in fraudulent money will be made from these listings in 2023, but there is no way, from what we have seen today, it must be much more than that, these guys can get a couple of people . hooked in just one day they are making a lot of money.
I think we can all agree that it was super easy and free to set up this trap, but maybe, like me, you think you could tell if this wasn't really good. I thought it was StreetWise. but I fell into a big scam and it all started with this, my Porsche GT3 RS is one of the most incredible cars I have ever seen in my life although it was quite difficult to buy. I wanted to buy a new GT3 RS. Place have you eventually bought enough cars, although after a three-part series I managed to get one, we're going to buy a GT3 RS and everyone loved it, it's beautiful, imagine it, it's ridiculous, oh, there's just something else to it, you know, no I like Porsches, but this one. it's, oh it's so nice, but it's so much better than Ms, yes this is so much better than Ms, but there's one major problem: simple supply and demand problems have caused these cars to have an unrealistically inflated price, now these cars affect as much as £150,000 over the price that car was originally bought for, but now these cars are down to 310,000, that's a lot of money they are losing, which of course is a concern , a big concern, so when Louis called me to tell me he had a way I jumped at the opportunity.
In fact, I have a customer very interested in that specific car, so I would like to offer him his money back for the car. Greetings. Thank you so much. Goodbye, goodbye, problem. Now I have it for him. amazing GT FS, so I started looking for a car that wouldn't break the bank and hopefully a solid, worthwhile investment, so we went back to my own advice about buying a limited edition car that's around 15 years old. Now, if you miss that video, you can come back. And look at it after this one and I think I've found the perfect car.
Let me introduce you to the 997 GT3 RS, a classic model that has all the raw magic and, due to its age, is in the perfect wind to potentially make a good investment. Make sure it was the right decision. I asked some of my friends what they thought of this, bro, I'm a man, you and the people at home probably know that amazing car, the amazing car, the best car in the world, the amazing car. I mean, it's been a dream to drive one, but unfortunately I haven't had a chance to see the deal yet. I asked Ben Collins about the X dig of one of my favorite TV shows, Top Gear, and of course he wrecked this car within an inch of its life.
Porsche. 97 GT3 RS wonderful car almost as good as the GT2 RS the problem is when you have driven GT yes thanks for ruining this section Ben and the GT2 RS is a little out of our budget so with almost everyone on board we got down to business the work. I got this car so I found this company in America. They have some beautiful cars. The oldest companies in Texas, but check this out. Two Bugatti Chirons. Two, we will see Rolls-Royce, wife that is much better than yours. Matt, so some nice St. Lamborghinis, please do. Dy gives me a headache, why do I give you a headache because you buy too many cars?
Okay, go play outside with you, the most important thing is that they have this, the 2001 Porsche GT3 RS. There she is. What's really cool about this car is There were only 965 million made new and I think because of the American market, I think this car is a bargain. Let me explain why the main reason is that this car is undervalued in America compared to Europe, which is exactly the same thing that happened to my two professional GTS and that's why we made some money back then and I think we have the same opportunity now. When I bought these two GTS pros, I took a ton of precautions to make sure I didn't.
Don't let me get scammed, but as you're about to see with a much busier schedule, I let my guard down and this would turn out to be a big mistake, so we're going to go through this whole professional process to hopefully buy this car. In America, first of all, we will email you now and find out a little more about the backstory and condition of the car, so the journey starts off exciting, but I didn't know at this time that sometimes you just need to sit down and slows down, so while we wait for news from the elderly and the companies, I'm going to prepare a meal for my family.
Why Fire Extinguishers Will Need Insurance in a Minute? If you're as busy as I am, let hell recover. It handles the food preparation, it arrives at your door and there is no rush because everything is in portions. I'll be honest, this isn't our usual job, but hello cool, it's that easy, even we can do it, yeah, we're leaving tonight. be cooking a bowl of sticky rice with meat and honey and hopefully it will look a little like this and before we started cooking, we had already received news from the seller, the bad news from Olders Enterprises, he had told us that there were two other people interested in the car and We wouldn't know if it would still be available for a couple of days, so we went back to cooking.

Thank you hellofresh for sponsoring this video and after destroying a very healthy and delicious meal, we headed to bed hoping to hear from vendor Ken Hoffman. Good morning, it's Monday, it's raining outside but it's sunny here. We have heard from Ken and the GT3 RS is still on sale, which is the correct result. He sent us tons of photos along with some very nice photos. He had sent a walkthrough video that includes a cold start, as you can see the engine is cold, it hasn't started yet and oh my goodness. Listen to the sound of this, so let's not waste time.
I'm going to respond to Ken. I will ask him for the VIN number and just to make sure he has a complete Porsche service history, we soon received a response and he had sent a VIN number which we checked on the car vertical. It was perfect. He also sent a Carfax report that looks legit so I didn't want to waste any more time so I jumped right in with an offer to try and get some information. correct discount, hope Canen responds today and we can get this moving before it's too late GT3 GT3 one that doesn't lose money while we wait for Ken to get back to us.
I wanted to share some of the stories from our Instagram App now, I hope you sat down because Tom's story is incredible. After a very beautiful Mercedes C63 went to this car dealership, it was a beautiful day, so anyway I went ahead and bought this car, so then I drove to the gas station for a quick breakto go to the bathroom and then as I was driving down the driveway as I was looking down there were six red dots that saw me and I thought they were like flies or something so I tried to clear these things off as I look up.
They were two BMW FES uh with coppers on the back windows pointing out to me that you just bought. I had 17 minutes 17 minutes 17 and they said then oh you tried Mur because they did an armed robbery at a jewelry store. I rode my bike before in Birmingham and shot someone. They took me out on different charges. They continued to be examined for about four or five hours and then they realized it wasn't me and then I remember standing at the end of this train station crying. Thinking I just lost 25 grand, a perfectly innocent purchase, and your whole world turns upside down in a split second, so as we mentioned before, this car is in America and some of you might be wondering how much it would cost to return it To united states. the UK, so before we go ahead with this deal, let's find out what kind of money it would be to return it to the UK, have it tested, send it registered. secured in its own container, give or take four I guess like that, they are £4,000 shipping but also some imported cars need modification to be legal on the road here in the UK, yeah just a couple of UK lights, not too bad. it's getting really good so our car costs about 2,000 gauges, 000 shipping for Grand Import Duty 10% 20,000, 40,000 total cost of 265 now a couple of things we need to remember is that we figure it's 100 Grand cheaper than we can. bought R in the UK so if we had done this right it could have been a fantastic source of income and finally after another day we heard back from seller Ken Hoffman of Alerson Enterprises.
No, you won't change the fixed price by saying you have three more. interested people, it's fair enough, it's cheap anyway, it's the right money, it will still go towards it. GT3 GT3 will hopefully be a great investment. GT3, we then received an email asking for a 10% deposit and I knew that $225,000 is a lot of money to send. a man I have never met and for a car I have never seen, so I sought a second opinion just to make sure this car was the best opportunity for a good investment. This is Ian, one of the directors of the Porsche Club.
He knows these cars all December inside out, so if he gives me the green light then we can start with this classic 997 GT3 RS, so the next morning we headed over to Ian to see exactly what he thought of my GT3 car. You're right, well you found a gem of a car here. I've done my homework since we spoke and I have to say I don't know how you found it, it's the four loer, it's got everything you could ask for. Ian had done a lot of research on the car itself, but there was one problem that was scary, so Mark asked him for a cold start video, yes, and he sent him the video, yes, as you can see the engine is cold. it hasn't started yet, that's Ken talking Yes, but no one talks below so it's the same video Yes Ian did a reverse search of the main image in the listing and found the original Source max horsepower motors.
These were the exact same images as Ken. using, so, that's an old photo, so yes, 12 months ago, this was put up and sold by max horsepower motors, but how do you know it's my car? Because it's 529 and when we cross-reference the images at the Kennet centers, it's the same car and that one. The video of the walk was not his. He had downloaded it from Max Power Motor's YouTube channel, which was actually uploaded a year ago and back then sold for $700,000, which is almost three times what Ken is asking now. Why is Ken selling the car?
A year later and at a deflated price the evidence was clear but the deal blinded me and I didn't want to believe it, maybe the economics, what if you don't know this is a 4 liter? I came up with all the excuses. as to why there might be a simple explanation so Ian did a little more research there, if you look at Ken's details there is the address of the dealership on Google the dealership actually exists including a five star review Happy Days yes but Mark two weeks ago. a review for a dealership and strangely the car dealership even shows up on the C maps as a lead.
I tell him let's find Ken, see who's okay and after some more digging we found Ken Hoffman on LinkedIn, there we go, alerts and companies. He works there, yes he worked there for 5 years, but he left in 21, well where does he work now? A Chevrolet dealership in Lubac. This Chevrolet dealership is located just 40 minutes from the Olds and Enterprises dealership and what doesn't make sense either is. Why don't Olders and Enterprises show up on Google Maps until we realize you can go back in time on Google Street View to the address Alerson is registered at? Alerson is there, so we think the guy I'm talking to is not this guy?
Long story short, what we have discovered is that the seniors at Enterprises were a real dealership and Ken Hoffman worked there, but we now know that it closed 3 years ago, so we believe that fake Ken has brought this dealership back to life, so This is a U-turn from buying the investment car of your dreams to perhaps discovering one of the world's largest super scan websites listing over 80 million exotic cars. I'm still not 100% sure this is still an accusation. Let's know some real facts. talk to the real Ken Hoffman just to make sure this is 100% a really big scam, this bastard almost makes $25,000 a mine so using Ken Linkin's real page we called the dealership he currently works at.
Thank you for calling Lan Chevrolet. I'm Kim, how can I help you, uh, Ken Hoffman, please, okay, I'm Kim, thanks for hugging you. Hello, Ken. My name is Mark. We believe someone has been stealing your identity to sell cars. Yeah, yeah, okay, so you're in the know. we should choose my name out of all the people, you must have been a good car salesman. I was in finance most of the time so I didn't even sell cars so I just did the paperwork because you used to work in majors no. you Alerson Enterprises are right although it was sold in October 2021 so from what my manager told me a police officer investigating this in Florida called do you think the police have been following you because someone has been scammed , oh absolutely yes, so devastatingly, someone from Florida has already fallen victim to this exact scam website, Fake Ken, how shameless, if you think you're going back to the beginning when we tried to ask about this car, now he left us waiting for 2 days. telling us that there was someone else interested in the car, the absolute genius of the fraud and then thinking back, obviously he told us that he wouldn't take a deal, he wouldn't take $240,000, he wouldn't take $240,000 because that's what he does.
We believe even more that it's real but that poor guy who sent that money in Florida God I hope it's just a deposit it's not a full amount for a car but if you think about it that was almost me I almost sent him $25,400 Very close, thanks Ian for saving me, but ready, let's face the fake Ken, the fake Ken, we're coming for you, what is he going to say? I hope you don't hang up the phone. Jesus, I'm nervous. Ready, Enterprise, this is it. Ken, how can I help you? Hi Ken, I'm Mark, coming from England.
He is fine, thank you, how are you sir? Yes, thanks for everything so far. Surely it is possible to make a Face Time call. No, like I said. Personal reasons why we don't do it. I can make a FaceTime call. As soon as we see his face, he shuts us up and the lies just come, but to be fair, it might sound believable. Is the car there now for FaceTime? The car. I understand that you are for personal reasons, but what about the car? I know, but it's our policy that we don't call. I'm just a little nervous about sending him the money, obviously I don't see the car or anything.
You know, I see that you've been on the website for 27 years and I see that you work a lot with charities, which is great, we do, yes we can, but if you don't feel comfortable purchasing a product online, you are more than welcome to visit us, we can catch a plane, so now the time has come that we can finally confront this dirty scammer, so we are an investigation team from the UK and we know that we spoke to the real Ken Hoffman. so Ken, we know you're a scammer, so what do you have to say for yourself?
Oh, fake Ken, hanging up on this call says it all, but at least we have it. He's happy enough to steal your money, but he's a coward to say the least. for us from what we have learned, please don't send a deposit, don't send the money, stand in front of that car, no matter how far away it is, watch him pay the money and then take the car there and then I hate to think that They are scamming people but please if you have any stories like this send us a message. We need to keep doing this, but next Tuesday maybe, who knows.
