Making a Marvel VS DC DEATH BATTLE! Season

May 03, 2024
as a

death

match content creator who was pretty well known for his criticism of DC's overuse of

death

matches in

season

seven to the point that the Hulk versus Broly reveal was the worst day of my fucking life thanks to the community, I thought. It would be a fun little thought experiment, that's not what it's a fun little challenge to try and create a full 20 episode

season

of death

battle

using nothing but Marvel vs DC matchups which I really like, there are a lot of them out there , but I'm not really a fan of most of them and I know I made that video that time, but my opinions have changed as they do, now everything that is there will be present here.
making a marvel vs dc death battle season
I don't like all the confrontations I see. included there, but as you can clearly see, there are now more than seven that I would like to start with. Here are a few I considered, but I just didn't feel that putting Red Shield versus Blizz isn't very thematic, but I prefer it. The Hulk matchups outside of maybe Harvey Birdman because that sounds funny to me and Atrocities vs Redhawk which sounds a little silly, unfortunately I already have a couple of ground fights in this and Blizz doesn't bring anything unique like the other lanterns I chose to do and I don't really need to listen to a genius talk about Belize's backstory because that's the only part of Batter I don't like.

More Interesting Facts About,

making a marvel vs dc death battle season...

Sinestro vs Nightmare are also considered but the only thing I really like is how Nightmare also creates constructs that appear like sinestro while the other sinestro matchups don't do that and whether sinestro parallax really is standard might even be a bit debatable , but other than that, there's really nothing wrong with that, mr. frozen versus dr. octopus, I consider that too, but no I really don't know how that would work as a real fight, so yeah, Domami vs Trigon was here for a while, but I replaced it with something meaner and sillier because I don't find Dormamy trying to get all that interesting. and I feel like it.
making a marvel vs dc death battle season
Honestly, in terms of just one episode, I feel like it has finale potential and I preferred my final choice, so I chose Mimi and the Fool because I felt it would be better than a Domami Trigon episode that doesn't measure up. His potential vision against the red tornado was also something I considered for a second, but I don't really care that much and it doesn't seem like it would be an interesting matchup beyond anything, there's nothing interesting about it, it's just a flying brick fight. I just considered it for a second, if there is a match that is not on this list or not mentioned here, then there is a very low chance that I have forgotten about it and a very high chance that I just don't care.
making a marvel vs dc death battle season
Here is a list of some. random measurements on screen that I don't like or just don't care about, I'll let you decide if these individually I don't like or don't care about, it's up to you, these just aren't the ones I really thought were okay, let's start with episode one , our great premiere ego vs mogo in 3d. This probably comes from a place of bias, but this would be my ideal premiere for this hypothetical season and also everyone and their mother knew this would be the case. here so I thought I'd get it out of here immediately, ego versus mogo thematically is just one sentence, but it's very weirdly specific, big sentient planet of a comic and yeah, I like it.
I've explained it several times before, this is probably my most searched Marvel vs DC matchup currently. I think there are a lot of really unique things you could do, given the shape of the combatants, they're big spheres and they have a

battle

with two shooting worlds. staring at each other from a distance sounds cool putting together each other's ecosystems while fighting and generally doing flashlight stuff with mogo he's a flashlight. I would be very interested to see how they do it and it really needs to be done in 3D because I don't think it would be so cool on a sprite, you can freely change the internal 3D with Blender for similar hair, as long as it is one of them drawn by hand.
It was also considered, but then most of the hand elements would just be people drawing. backgrounds no, it sounds like a lot of work to draw a mediocre looking forest for the sake of a scene and yet the best episodes have very stylized backgrounds or just 3D backgrounds so yeah, that's it anyway What do I have to say? I've talked a lot in this match, I don't want to waste your time, episode two in many ways, Mysterio versus Scarce Raven isn't even the best matchup against each other in the opposing series, but I don't care, no one cares. about the other characters that make more sense and used to have a lot more visual media to play on than just comic panels anyway, which makes it more interesting to me as you can draw directly from their depictions and other media for purposes. of the fight and yes, ideally I do this in snappy animation, although I would also be open to multiple animation styles for a single animation, but maybe just in the form of some really cool 3D effects overlaid on the background while the characters render as drawn hand-drawn or sprites, it adds that element of unnatural feeling that comes from the powers of these two, which amounts to being full of effects that look trippy and cool, but also don't seem to fit into the same world, as the characters themselves feel Which works because you know the characters are real, but what's really happening isn't.
I guess I didn't really explain the topic, but this one speaks for itself. It is an illusory battle between two characters who fight and make me see what is not there, although with Mysterio. I think it's about creating illusions, whereas the scarecrow makes you see your own fears with this toxin, which is a fun little difference that can be used to make it really clear who is creating what illusions. The illusions that are more terrifying and terrifying will do so. Whether they are scarecrows or the most amazing and grandiose mysteries. I guess the only problem would be figuring out how to get the toxin into Mysterio that they gave you as a fish tank in his head, but I'm sure they'd figure it out. enough for me to think of, apparently this is also a debatable matchup, although most of the debate comes from whether or not it's debatable or whether Mysterio is just whipping a nae nae or scarecrow, I honestly don't care, this sounds creative and only. and that kind of creativity or, in the last major case, weirdness, then what I'm looking for with most of these episodes that I've come up with here instead of just the mundane monotony of flying bricks flying at each other episode three pokemon man versus the place what is this?
Okay, so the Pogo hot man in the place are villains who have circles on their bodies. I give them skills. That's the issue. It's so stupid. I love it. I don't even know what to say about the animation. it has two guys with really stupid kids, the poker dog man has a bunch of weird gadgets and abilities he can take off his suit while the dot can move to deal with attacks and throw punches from afar, it's such a weird dynamic and so weird. confrontation and honestly it seems like it would be a lot of fun for a more than silly street to fight in a comical way.
I don't really know what to say, if anything this almost needs more of a non-death battle idea than a normal death battle for episode 4, super adaptoid vs amazon and composite superman vs composite man, we're both fighting for the spot and, honestly, it was difficult to cast composite superman because composite man has a more concrete and more outlandish selection of powers. and unique choice in combo man for death battle and probably a strange debate given the question of whether the common man parts are directly scalable to the characters they come from at the same time, however super adaptoid and amazon have more presence in general with more means to go out and use certain versions of Amazon as inspiration, there's also a more concrete character in the showdown in general, as well as more debate, although the downside would be that we don't really know what they would give the characters until the episode in which also has the advantage of

making

the episode harder to predict, although they aren't given anything more than their base models, I hope it's not boring, they either pick and choose, go with their most consistent abilities or have to go. balls deep and give them everything they've ever had, that would be the most fun option and in a fight this gives us the Justice League against the Avengers in a battle with only two characters without worrying about repeat characters or budget concerns, since What these two can simply have is with the powers of both super squads after all the thing is that they are both androids who are enemies of the world's respective super squads who copy their abilities and I think that works you could do a lot of interesting things , far as I know.
The character's weaknesses can also be used as a super adaptoid, he has a limited imagination of something and is unable to process much information from multiple sources, which should work against him. Amazes with greater creativity and intelligence, while Amazon's difficulty in using more than one character-specific kit at a time can In contrast to the adaptoid who has access to everything at once, you could also give us a fight between fake mjolnir and the false Thanagarian mace. Ideally, the end of the fight would amount to the two deciding to steal each other's power, resulting in an overload that basically factory resets them. both mean we have a fight that amounts to a fist bump by simply punching him or the chance for the winner's superior and copy skills to overpower the opponent and use the other guy's skills and weapons to kill him, say a table killing a toy mortal with his own fake mjolnir or adaptoid killing amazer with his own fake green lantern ring actually given amaze's weakness that he can't use the power of more than one character at a time but sometimes he has that adaptoid that never has as a weakness if amazon wins by taking it take advantage of your power save by being creative and letting a deployed punch go through you, which you wouldn't expect surprising, you will take the power of the adaptoid and overcome your own weakness to win.
Also they can both turn into the Kaiju side so that's awesome episode five, this is one of the great examples of showdowns I really like, I don't think we necessarily need them but it would be nice if I saw Wolverine vs Bigby Wolfe by Fable Now Fable. It's not strictly DC's main line, but it is the creation of DC's vertigo imprint, so I'm counting it because, as far as I know, this is my list. The main theme is that they are tragic, immortal animal killing machines that move slowly when they feel alone with their unkillable nature, although they have generally similar personalities and all of Wolverine's options.
Comes back, this feels like the one that actually has merit, basically any other Wolverine return would end up feeling like Diet Wolverine vs Ryden I imagine, or at least would be mostly compared to him rather than being considered on his own merits. However, bigby strikes a very different tone instead of looking at Wolverine's goofy and bombastic side like in all of Wolvie's confrontations. Bigby comes to the Logan side of the character. Ideally, the fight will be set up as some sort of bar fight that starts because due to their generally unpleasant personality, they would start matching each other lower than each other's vicinity.
Logan wouldn't be in his Wolverine suit, he'd be in his casual clothes and the fight would be much more violent, gritty and bloody to really get into each other. indestructible ripping and tearing each other to pieces, but getting back up because neither can take the other down for the most part, all of his teeth and claws are building up to damage the opponent, giving him more. It was hard for me to say it, but I stayed serious and the brave vibe is what really stands out about this fight, it gives us a fight not strictly for a Wolverine fight but for a Logan fight, the difference between something like Batman and Hell Bat, for example it's a completely different vibe and tone and given wolverine's popularity i could see him return and his other options just don't appeal zoro would end up feeling like wolverine vs ryden has nothing unique to stand out

making

him boring like shredder would be boring since freddy krueger would be a waste of freddy and vega they can fight literally anyone else baraka is a better vegan opponent for wolverine not to mention people like sweet mask and judah so yeah i would totally include this out of all this DC season and I'm taking it as a real death battle if we're forced to have Wolverine Returns because this is the only overall matchup that applies to Ellen's Wolverine's deeper character.
Personally, I like that problem, the violent and brave nature passes. Yeah, I really like those parts of Wolverine. Wolverine is Wolverine, haha, dumb and dumb. a bit away from him, it strips him of what makes him unique among the about him tome too bigby turns into a big dog so that's cool number six this is almost as stupid as pokemon versus the spot spiderman versus animals this is batman for spider-man but it's adam west and shinji toto I don't know, no I don't know what, yeah, you even make this like a fight given the Mac. I don't know if it's arguable, it probably isn't, man.
I really don't know anything about this match except that I wanted this to have been my choice. live action if leopardon didn't exist by the way because i didn't expect them to make a giant robot in live action i number sevenhoward the dark detective champ when it comes to mass that's where you can give the characters everything. I think how the duck was detective champ is my favorite, not only do I really like how the duck felt what he is, but I also find detective chimp quite a bit. interesting and I think it could be very funny because Howard is such a silly and unusual character, while the chimpanzee detective is equally unusual and strange, but he's comically serious in the way he takes it, it's that fun contrast of a self-aware character. how stupid it is and another.
Who is comically overly serious about it, but the best part here is how absurd the choreography would be for this of all confrontations? How he's an ultimate nullifier in Iron Man armor or a chimpanzee detective who has Dr. Destiny's helmet and the knight's sword or whatever. the fact that this match could reach a cosmic scale feels strangely absurd and I wasn't thinking the jokes would be funny. I don't know what else I can do to sell it other than this is a wonderful DC showdown that's more like a Disney versus oh no, that's how wonderful DC is now, but number eight for some reason of all flying brick herald fights this is the one i personally think i like the best jim hammond the original human torch vs alan scott the original green latin i know a lot of people like jay garrick vs jim hammond but i personally not only like the wizard for jay garrick i also feel like we've taken advantage of the world with three separate dc speedster fights even if garrick is awesome while we haven't done that for latinos the issue is what do you think these two are classic incarnations of the age gold of modern popular heroes who are more known for working in teams than their original level, which are also associated with fire, I know.
There's also the fire mask of the character that was once known as Marvel's Green Lantern, but no, I like this one because of the vibe it gives us that fun, comedic, old-school golden age, silly vibe. of he-man versus lion os combined with the weird 60s 70s sci-fi style. they could do when they go out into space in terms of actual animation, I don't know if it would be that special Hammond that doesn't have a lot of crazy powers or anything, while that Alan, well, he's a flashlight, so he has a lot of them. but i feel like this could become the comic book version of human versus lionel.
I mean, human versus lion knows a fight that doesn't really have anything special in terms of skills, but has an incredibly vibrant style that makes the animation really real. unique and fun and I really like Alan Scott in general, he has this energy, this aura, while Jim looks great, I really don't know why I like this match so much as it has that vibe to me that carries it. being really funny episode 9 peter parked car is a sentient spider man who is a car a spider man saint-jean-car from a world where everything is like the car movies and bam is the protagonist of a bat from the show bat wheels who is about a century in a batmobile that's all i have for you when the midseason finale came around i thought i wanted something really big and climactic to end the first half with a bang sorry i chose one of my two options for the finale and put it here makia death versus super boy prime i know a lot of people like super boy prime during the king hyperion century but honestly others sound a little boring to me this matchup is one of people who lived in worlds where

marvel

and dc comics were fictional but they were dragged into the comic worlds and became threats on a cosmic level due to their mental states.
What stands out for me is the dialogue about their cause. The death of Machia is a cruel and sadistic bastard who made Doom live in a perfect fantasy world over the course of Five Seconds in which Doom got everything he wanted so he could make the guys after the failure suffer even more, while that Super Boy Prime is just an insecure man who really wants to be Superman but doesn't deserve the title and I think the character is what carries this. fight in terms of animation, yes you have a cosmic reality transformer against a cosmic reality puncher and I would love to see them bounce off each other, but my ideal dungeon for the fight would be one where the third act involves making a super guy . in this fake world making sure the boy thinks he wins, yes he got everything he ever wanted, he killed the maki, he was recognized as Superman because he always wanted to live a happy life, but during this illusion, the super boy realizes something, he looks in the mirror and sees that he didn't really earn it, he understands how difficult his journey was but how easy it ended up being in the end and he realizes that he has been fooled, he realizes through pure experience how that they always told him: that he simply couldn't.
You understand that to be Superman you need to earn him and he didn't, he screams bloody murder and punches his way out of the illusion, scaring the Marquis with the raw power of him. The super boy would charge at the Marquis and send a wave of the Marvel and DC Herald wave. The Sky Fighters and Abstracts and Super Boy Prime would charge in and fight them all. Ideally, we get a shot of Superboy barely visible on screen walking away as the approaching wave of heroes and villains block the light of the galaxy behind them and Superboy leans in.
He opens them all, burns the descendants, eliminates the heroes with the remains of the contemporaries before he finally gets close enough to hit the marquee as Superboy wins, comments on how this will turn him into Superman, and unleashes the retcon punch. to White Marquis. in the cosmic explosion he prides himself on if the Marquis wins, though Superboy stopped dead and fired again, annihilated in a quick display of power only for the Marquis to stop and notice his hand shaking. Maki realized that he killed Superboy without really tormenting him there because he was afraid of being terrified, he knew that if he tried to play with the boy in the suit like he did before or like he did with anyone else he would kill, he would have been the one who would die and that kind of thing.
It's what I love about this combination, the character-filled interactions you can have, you have a guy who wants to be a super guy versus a guy who just wants to kill everything and it's on a cosmic scale and can include countless cameos from other heroes and villains, anyone really the monkey wants to throw a super guy the more I talk about the match, the more I want it and the more I stay, how the century is significantly more likely and significantly sillier because it ended up being a flying brick battle that happens on a cosmic scale instead of a one off battle between a reality warper and a brute force punch that focuses on the characters on a cosmic scale also subaru primarky or death look amazing and that's cool episode 11 i don't feel like ant-man vs adam whether it's a lot of a showdown I can explain it more than anyone, it has a lot of potential use of the environment, both when it's giant and when it's small, the characters are fun, you can be visually creative when they get smaller and smaller until they get into a battle with who can shrink the most and the winner shrinks a little more, goes inside the opponent and then grows back to full size, exploding them, so instead of wasting time I'll just say that the reason this is the return from the midseason break is because I think it would be a good choice and would probably get people excited for the return of the season.
Episode 12, this one is here, is partly a joke. The day of judgment against the mango. It's a coincidence I want to say a little. I think this is coming in. -home treatment because that sounds funny to me, it's all episode 13, laughter versus annihilus, this is a strange case for me, there is no meme associated with this fight, it's a flying brick battle and the characters are so overpowered that You can't quantify them, but I. I really like please and annihilus looks cool, the thing for the most part here are deformed bug aliens with an orange cosmic weapon that they use for their goal of possessing everything because they want as living embodiments of greed, it's pretty decent, but no enough to carry the game so what carries it I think it's really just that I like laughter there's something to be said for animation potential you also have two characters with a lot of things to do in fact Lafley can be a lantern, but still an island.
I managed to match it in terms of variety, which gives us great potential for a cool conflict between orange lanterns and cosmic sticks, as well as, more importantly, an incredible military battle between the two, you could do that too and I have nothing to complain about. I mean, he only supports the party because it's cool. episode 14 is pretty much the same there's nothing especially unique or crazy with Black Adam versus Apocalypse it's just fun and has a DC character that I really like, I guess there's something of a meme associated with it but yeah it's just one that I don't have anything special, but I like episode 15, Moonlight versus Azrael, I don't particularly know, I don't give a damn about the baboon level like Ezreal, it's pretty good, but I needed a live action option and all the live action options, this was the best. not counting spider-man versus adam west because leopardon but this gives us a unique hand-to-hand fight with weapons at least I imagine one that is better than the childish clash with sticks that we had with nightwing versus daredevil this is a clash between a sword and a staff that's a big stick and that sounds cool and honestly it's a lot better than Moon Knight fighting a Batman coming back again, plus you'll probably get some really interesting shots with these characters, styles and moon knights something like that , uh, something strange.
I'm very upset. that all the cool moonlight panels are edited in a way that makes it sad episode 16 juggernaut versus shaggy man this is strange to me because it is not my favorite for dragon anything that would be the overlord of the transformers but always opponents of dc me I feel like the best thing about Shaggy Man's vision is that it has the same unstoppable theme of his doomsday slang without having to bring him back and Shaggy Man is a really cool dark choice that I think it would be awesome to see that's also leading up to doomsday, which is strange to think that's it.
I got episode 17 Magneto versus Dr. Polaris. This is the matchup I started rooting for as a joke, but then started liking it in a non-ironic way. Its theme isn't particularly strong, but I think it's really based on animation potential and I debate animation potential. Of course, it is quite high. These two are very powerful magnetism builders. I think a lot could be done with them and I think it helps magnets get the best out of those options. However, the debate is something else. I have seen such strong arguments for both sides. and the two really seem neck and neck, it would be a weird case, I'm not entirely sure who would win going into the episode because I can see it either way and other than that I like it, even though it's very similar. animus apocalypse and that doesn't really bring anything new to the table for episode 18.
We're approaching the hypothetical season finale. I think it would be good for a simple, straight up level last fight and of them, I really like Sam's members. clay face, it feels like they played off each other really well before, much better than the other Sandman options. He plays with them, there's obviously a lot of creative potential, they can shape their children and whatever they really want, and a lot could be done with that, esp. since they simply re-attached from almost any blue given up in the fight, so you can do a lot of things, just have them break into pieces and go back there.
This is another one where I don't know much of a way to exaggerate it, I just think. episode 19 is great the penultimate doom patrol vs the fantastic four this one is weird but i like the weirdos and all the team fights i had to choose this is easily my favorite the fantastic four are such intrinsically united groups that part of me feels like it's almost wrong to have them separated even if they have many matches alone and with their opponents patrolling. I like the safer fantastic wolves. Incredibles is great, but I'd rather not have a match involving any individual member of the Fantastic Four. could throw a in the wrong direction and end the entire Incredibles franchise, maybe the Doom Patrol will be made too.
I don't know, I haven't really seen them climb, butI think it sounds a lot better to me and includes a team that you really see being talked about and while there are a lot of characters, I think asking for a 4v4 is a much more reasonable request than something like Avengers vs Justice League, while potentially 10 characters on each side I don't necessarily know who the fourth member of the doom patrol is it would be like obviously you would have the robot man elastigirl a negative man and you could argue with the boss but he can't really fight so he would be there as a bonus, so it's not up to someone like me.
I know Jane is crazy or something, but yeah, the pineapple depends on the whole episode because she feels like she's spinning. Now let's see the ending. The ending had a lot of options but I didn't like most of them and how even the match I ended up choosing is one that I go back and forth and whether I like it or not depends on my mood because the match isn't really special for me and the theme is pretty much what they look like and how cosmic they are, but here we go, swamp thing. Versus Man, this isn't a match I'm excited about, but between this and Maki versus Superboy, who was the other item for the finale, this one has the most appeal with Swamp Thing being the most popular character of the four and Man having his own. own movie, while Marquee and Super Boy don't, however, thinking about it, this could be a really good episode if done right in terms of analysis, as far as I know, there are a lot of really interesting facets to these characters that can be seen. will discuss and talk about giving more to the analysis and just his reverse stats, which of course you can still delve into and I think this would be the only opportunity to really talk about the Marvel and DC cosmology and Outside of the discussion on the versa, personally I have always been interested in those cosmologies.
I don't care how the universal stats play, but learning how these worlds work is really interesting. There is a lot of creativity in them. Something is connected with green. And man, the next of all the realities opens up to interesting topics to talk about in animation, in the meantime, I really think it needs to be done in an ending so that it is really done right from the beginning. I like to say beginner in sprites because of my general level. idea how it goes, but I also don't know if it would be a good idea because I think the beginning should really play into the horror aspect of the characters, starting with the two in a very stylized hand-drawn segment while The First Approach with novel vibes Really strong graphics make sense, but as the fight progresses I wanted to get more cosmic, the characters change animation styles not arbitrarily when they are hit like Saitama's Popeye, but as a visual representation of them ascending to higher dimensions, such time. they start changing to a different hand drawn style, then they grow to sfmo blender and then they grow to internal 3d, maybe part of their growing incisors includes a stop motion segment, maybe a sprite segment, ideally they change the animation styles as they grow. in different dimensions of existence, a way to visually represent the abstract concept of higher dimensions and at the same time make sense to look at it, would be a really cool way to incorporate the changing art styles in animation history that suits the characters that progressively become more and more abstract, I would like to see a 3D man thing hovering over a 2D swamp thing or the other way around to cross that sense of growth into a higher dimensional space until the swamp thing extends its hand and become three dimensional as well to catch any attack the man throws, apparently the man could also win by cutting Swampy's connection to the green, so a cool way in my head to do the kill would be for him to do that and have something fall back to through all the animation styles and Lands where they both started doing a swamp thing at the beginning of the animation style, while the man stays in whatever style they end the fight in when he launches his final attack.
I would also love to see the psychedelic style, the nexus of all realities done. Most of the fight surely started off with the horror aspects, but if it gets weird in the early 70s cosmic style halfway through or even at the beginning of the fight, as they drag each other into cosmic realms, There's so much creative potential I can imagine with a showdown that I really think now only works as an ending for that reason, I'm certainly going to say that my ideal Marvel DC ending overall is something that's a man's thing, even if some of it also has the ultimate disadvantage, oh but how can I forget?
All Doom Slaver killer. Wow, look at this and yes, those are his real names. Holy shit, this guy looks like cyber Mecca. He condemns Eve as jelly and this guy looks like Jiren's thumb. What a brilliant mix. These two have a total of six comedic appearances against each other. Wow, that's it. almost as many as the polka dot holy man, it is also very debatable: one guy destroyed the eradicator and the other eight, the Hulk's fist, went crazy.
