of The Walking Dead begins when deputy Rick Grimes is shot on the job and falls into a coma upon waking up. Rick discovers that the hospital is abandoned and the world has been invaded by zombies everyone calls Walkers while searching for his wife Lori and young son Carl Rick befriends a man named Morgan Jones and his son Dwayne Morgan explains to Rick the rules of the Walkers, such as that their heads had to be destroyed to be killed and that if you are bitten by a walker, you will eventually become one. leaves Morgan and Dwayne to head to Atlanta in search of his family in Atlanta Rick is ambushed by a horde of Walkers and rescued by a man named Glenn Glenn is on a scavenger mission in the city to bring supplies to a group of survivors who invite Rick to join another member of the trash scavenging team, Merle, whose unruly and dangerous behavior forces Rick to handcuff him to a pipe when the Walkers invade Rick and Glenn, they are forced to leave Merle behind.

Glenn then takes Rick back to his Camp of survivors which includes Merle's outcast brother, sisters Daryl, Andrea and Amy, the kind RV owner Dale T-Dog, the Pelletier family which included the wife Carol, abusive husband Ed and their young daughter Sophia and, to Rick's surprise, his best friend Shane, his wife Lori and their son Carl Rick has a happy reunion with his family, but unbeknownst to him in the intervening time. since his coma and presumed death. Shane and Lori had developed a romantic relationship and Shane had become Carl's surrogate father. Lori breaks up with Shane, but tensions remain high.

A horde of Walkers. attacks the camp killing many survivors, including Amy and Ed. Rick decides the best decision is to take the entire group to the CDC facility in Atlanta. Upon his arrival, they find it completely abandoned, apart from a single survivor. Dr. Edwin Jenner Dr. Jenner explains more about the Walkers. that there was no hope for a cure and that everyone on his Earth was already infected by the zombie virus and would become walkers upon death, finding survival futile. Jenner wants to blow up the CDC with everyone inside. Rick helps his group escape as the CDC building explodes and kills Jenner in the second

season

of The Walking Dead.

Rick leads his group of survivors to search for a permanent home on their journey. Carol's daughter Sophia disappears while she was searching for Sophia in the woods. Carl is accidentally shot by a hunter Otis helps. Rick Rush Carl to The Farmstead of Herschel green Shane and Otis go on a mission to gather the medical supplies needed to save Carl's life, but along the way they are overwhelmed by a herd of walkers. Shane shoots Otis in the leg to leave him behind as a distraction for the Walkers so they can escape with the supplies. Shane lies to the others that Otis willingly sacrificed himself and Herschel uses the supplies to save Carl's life as the other survivors begin. to feel at home at Herschel Farm.

Herschel is hesitant to allow this large group of strangers to stay on his farm with his family, but reluctantly agrees if they follow his rules. Daryl begins to feel at home in this new family and forms a close friendship with Carol. Lori discovers that she is pregnant but is not sure if the father was Rick. o Shane creates even more tension in his former best friend's relationship. Glenn develops a romance with Herschel's daughter, Maggie, which they must keep a secret from his father when Glenn discovers that Herschel had a barn

Herschel explains that they were all his. family and hoped he could save them all by finding a cure, while this upsets Rick, makes the increasingly unhinged Shame angry and opens the barn doors to let the Walkers out. Shane and the rest of the group kill the Walkers one by one, including The Last Walker Out of the Barn, Sofia Herschel, is distraught by the events at her farm and retreats to a nearby bar in town to drink. Rick and Glenn find him and convince him to stop drinking and return home, but are then attacked by a group. of violent strangers as Rick Herschel and Glenn flee one of the strangers Randall is injured not wanting to leave the man behind to be killed by walkers Rick takes Randall back to the farm, things quickly descend into chaos over what to do with Randall, the stranger's group was violent and would come looking for him putting everyone on the farm in danger, but if they let Randall go, he could take them back to the farm anyway.

Shane insists that Randall needs to die, but the kind-hearted Dale tries to calm everyone down when Dale. He is later killed by a walker. Rick is determined to honor Dale's life by forgiving Randalls. Unfortunately, Shane takes matters into his own hands, taking Randall off the farm to murder him in the woods. When Rick discovers this act, he confronts Shane. Shane then holds Rick at gunpoint. Convinced that his best friend cannot make the difficult decisions necessary to keep his group alive, Rick is forced to stab Shane and kill him when Shane reanimates as a walker, young Carl is forced to shoot him in the head to save Rick's life.

The sound of the shot. attracts a horde of walkers to the farm and the survivors are forced to flee. Many of Herschel's family members are killed, but he and his daughters Maggie and Beth escape with Rick's group during the chaos. people and Rick's group decided to set up their new home in an abandoned prison while they cleaned out the Walkers prison. Herschel is bitten on the foot although after amputating it to stop the infection his life is saved when an alarm goes off at Walkers Prison. They begin to swarm causing chaos within the prison walls. T-Dog sacrifices himself to save Carol while Lori Maggie and Carl find themselves trapped in a boiler room just as Lori goes into labor.

Maggie is forced to perform a cesarean section on Lori to deliver the baby. but Lori dies in the process. Carl is forced to shoot his mother in the head to prevent her from reanimating as a walker while the Walkers are eliminated and the survivors regroup. Rick is devastated to learn of Lori's death and names his new daughter Judith after another. A group of strangers led by brothers Tyrese and Sasha also discover the prison and are allowed to stay to join Rick's group for a time. There is real peace in the prison and Glenn proposes to Maggie while Andrea and Michonne discover the heavily fortified town of Woodbury. by a man known as Governor Michonne is very suspicious of this leader, but Andrea quickly allows herself to be convinced by his charm.

Also living in Woodbury is Merle, who survived being handcuffed during a walker attack by cutting his hand while Michonne begins investigating the governor. discovers that Merle has been tasked with bringing living Walkers to town for a resident named Milton to experiment on other walkers. She advocates for public Gladiator fights as entertainment for the residents of Woodbury, disgusted by what she discovers, Michonne decides to leave Woodbury, although Andrea decides to stay. Behind while she searches for a new home, Michonne witnesses Merle capture Glenn and Maggie, who were looking for baby supplies. Michonne then finds the prison and alerts Rick about Maggie and Glenn's capture.

Rick and Daryl accompany Michonne to Woodbury, where they save Glenn and Maggie while Michonne is there. she fights the governor and stabs him as the group escapes. Daryl is shocked to discover that his brother was still alive and Merle decides to leave Woodbury with them. Woodbury Merle, after seeing the positive change the group has had in Daryl, changes his mind and allows Michonne to escape. Instead, Merle sacrifices himself to lead a horde of walkers against the governor's men, killing many of them as the season comes to an end. and his army attack the prison, Rick's group counterattacks and defeats their enemies, forcing the governor and the remnants of his army to flee when the surviving members of Woodbury's army refused to continue fighting, the deranged governor deranges them. He kills everyone after defeating Governor Rick and his allies head to Woodbury where they discover that Andrea had been bitten by Milton.

She bids a tearful farewell to her old friends before committing suicide to avoid becoming a walker. In season 4 of The Walking Dead, the survivors in the prison which now include the remains of Woodbury have been living in peace for many months when a flu deadly disease begins to spread among the survivors. Carol murders some of the sick and burns their bodies to prevent the disease from spreading further. Carol has become more tenacious and pragmatic since the death of her husband and daughter, but even though Rick understands that she thinks he is still forced to banish her from prison, meanwhile the defeated governor meets the Chambler family, Tara.

Lilly and Lily's daughter Megan, the Governor hides his past from the family and develops a relationship with Lily when the Governor meets. His former right-hand man, Martínez, discovers that Martínez has gathered his own army and arsenal devoted to him. The governor then kills Martínez and leads her new army towards the prison in hopes of taking it over and securing a safe home for the chamblers outside the prison. the governor captures Michonne and Herschel threatening their lives if Rick does not leave the prison when Rick offers coexistence the governor executes Herschel and orders his army to storm the prison gates, an all-out war breaks out between Rick and the governor's armies and they begin The Walkers Entering the prison amidst the chaos, Megan is bitten by a walker and the Governor is forced to put her down while Rick and the Governor fight.

Michonne stabs the governor, fatally wounding him. Lily, distraught by the pain the governor has inflicted on her family, executes him. him before she is devoured by the Walkers, the prison survivors are forced to leave their home and become separated from each other. The disparate group begins to see signs leading to a supposed Sanctuary known as Terminus throughout their separate journeys to the terminal. Carol is forced to murder a young woman who murders her own sister in the hopes of turning her into a zombie. Beth is kidnapped by mysterious strangers and Glenn travels with Tara Chamblers before meeting ex-soldier Abraham Ford and his girlfriend Rosita Espinoza who They escorted scientist Eugene Porter to Washington.

DC will deliver a supposed cure to Walker's outbreak as the season comes to a close. Rick Carl Michonne and Daryl arrive at Terminus, where they are warmly greeted by their leader Gareth and asked to surrender their weapons. Rick quickly realizes that something was wrong with Terminus earlier. They are held at gunpoint and locked inside a train car where they discover that all of their other allies, except Carol and Tyrese, had also been captured, but Rick was not worried about his group's latest situation, as Terminus had just messing with the wrong people in Season 5 of The Walking Dead Carol and Tyrese helped save their friends from Terminus, who it turns out were cannibals during their escape.

The Riggs group is joined by Father Gabriel, who is currently experiencing acrisis of faith after excluding his congregation from his church, which led to them. They are all devoured by the Walkers, eventually Rick confronts and kills the leader of Terminus, Gareth Abraham Rosita, Glenn Maggie and Tara decide to continue escorting Eugene to Washington DC while Rick and the others stay behind to search for the kidnapped Beth on her journey. to DC. Eugene confesses to the group. that he lied about being a scientist and knowing the Cure to convince stronger people to protect him. Rick's group discovers that Beth has been kidnapped by a group of survivors who have taken over an abandoned hospital.

Rick captures members of the hospital group to exchange them for Beth, but during the exchange, Beth stabs the hospital leader, Don Don, instinctively shooting Beth dead, prompting Daryl to kill Don Rick's group. Don Rick's group leaves the hospital devastated even though Eugene's lie was exposed, the group decided to continue their trip to D.C. Along the way, tension and fatigue grow as they slowly run out of food and water when Tyrese is bitten by a walker and dies. The spirits of the group are dampened even more. Finally, a stranger named Aaron approaches the group and hands them food and water and explains that he comes from a known walled safe area.

Like Alexandria, their community had water for food and even houses with electricity and running water despite Rick's fears that Alexandria is another Woodbury or Terminus, the group hesitantly goes with Aaron to Alexandria, the group meets the leader of the community, Deanna Monroe, and are forced to hand over all their weapons. Despite Rick's suspicions, Alexandria is exactly as Aaron promised, the community was so safe, in fact, that most of its residents were completely unaware and untrained in dealing with the Walkers, the members of Rick's group began to adjust very well to their new home, including Carl, who begins dating Enid, a teenage Alexandria resident;

Rick takes matters into his own hands, confronts Pete and gets into a very public fight. d Indiana orders Rick to stand down, but instead he draws his gun and points it at the Alexandrian crown, ranting that they were too weak and complacent to survive, and realizes that Rick had become an antagonist who He threatened all his allies. to knock him out while a council determines whether or not Rick should be exiled from Alexandria, an angry and drunk Pete confronts Rick with Michonne's Katana.

Deanna's husband Reg tries to calm Pete down, but in the process Pete accidentally kills him, distraught over Regis' death, Deanna finally gives him up. Rick's permission to execute Pete just as Daryl and Aaron arrive with Morgan in season six of The Walking Dead, a now Zen-like Morgan helps his old friend Rick realize that his hardened survival skills needed softening now that They lived in a peaceful community as Rick readjusts to a semi-normal life, developing a romantic relationship with Jesse, meanwhile Maggie discovers that she is pregnant with Glenn's baby. Unfortunately, trouble lurked outside the walls of Alexandria.

First, a group of evil survivors named the wolves attack, in which Carol leads the charge. Then, fighting off a massive herd of Walkers, despite their best efforts to divert the herd, Alexandria's walls quickly become surrounded by Walkers who managed to breach the community's defenses. Jesse's death grip on Carl forces Rick to cut off the arm of his new lover to save his son. In response, Jesse's surviving son Ron holds Rick at gunpoint, Michonne kills Ron, but in the process, Ron's gun goes off and shoots Carl in the eye. Rick manages to give an inspiring speech to rally the surviving Alexandrians while Daryl leads a team to get Walker's attention so the Alexandrians can fight through the night and kill each and every one of the Walkers. Two months later, Rick takes over. Alexandria's leadership and the bagata romance with Michonne, who takes on a maternal role towards Carl and Judith.

Rick and Daryl then meet Jesus, who introduces them to another. The community known as The Hilltop, led by the restless Gregory Jesus, explains that a man named Negan was the leader of a group of villains known as the Saviors who extorted supplies from the hilltop under threat of attack. Daryl has an encounter with fugitive Saviors Dwight and Sherry, who steals his motorcycle and crossbow to help reinforce supplies lost during Walker's attack, then Maggie makes a deal with Gregory to kill Negan and stop the Saviors in exchange. of half the supplies from the top of the hill.

Negan explains that Alexandria was now working for the Saviors and, to ensure her further cooperation, takes Daryl hostage back to the Savior's home known as The Sanctuary while he is imprisoned, learning more about the inner workings of the Saviors where they don't. soldiers were forced to do labor to obtain supplies or Comfort Negan also takes many wives. Many in the community reject this notion, including Rosita, who begins a relationship with Deanna's son, Spencer, and tasks Eugene with creating live ammunition when Negan returns. and kills Spencer Rosita uses a bullet manufactured by Eugene and a smuggled gun to shoot Negan, but instead hits Lucille in retaliation. Negan kills another Alexandrian and takes Eugene hostage. Eugene quickly submits to Negan's authority and puts his mind to use to earn a place among Negan's people.

Most Trusted Advice After a pep talk from Michonne Rick finally gets motivated to fight the Saviors. Alexandria forms an alliance with the Hilltop and another community known as the Kingdom, which had also been forced into servitude by the Saviors. The kingdom is led by the Eccentric King. Ezekiel, who has a pet tiger, Shiva, takes an immediate interest in Carol despite her many reservations and caution. Ezekiel eventually wins her over and they develop a romance. Alexandria also receives weapons from the Oceanside community, to whom Rick's Saviors killed all of his men. He then forges an uneasy alliance with a group known as the Scavengers led by the mysterious Jadis and the final piece of Rick's Alliance is Dwight, who offers to act as a double agent to help defeat Negan from within while the Alliance of Rick communities prepares to leave.

For the war with the Saviors, several people become impatient and try to take matters into their own hands. Carl sneaks into the sanctuary to assassinate Negan and, although he fails, Negan is impressed by the teenager's courage, takes a liking to the boy, spares Carl's life and returns him to him. Home Sasha also sneaks into the sanctuary to assassinate Negan, but she is similarly caught when Negan arrives in Alexandria to quell the rebellion before she starts. The Scavengers turn against Rick and support the Saviors. Negan offers two trades with Sasha for all of Alexandria's supplies, but discovers that Sasha has committed suicide and turned into a walker.

This distraction gives the Alexandrians a chance to fight off the Saviors and Scavengers when soldiers from the Hilltop and Kingdom arrive to join the fight. Negan's army is forced to retreat in season 8 of The Walking Dead in the various communities. Allied with Rick prepare for the ultimate battle against the Saviors, the hilltop citizens oust the cowardly Gregory as their leader in favor of Maggie, who rallies him to fight in the coming war during several different battles against the savior. Many lives are lost. Aaron's boyfriend, Eric. He is killed during a fight between the Alexandrians and the Saviors, while many members of the Kingdom's army, including the tiger Shiva, are massacred in another fight.

The biggest loss to Rick's group is his son Carl, who is bitten by a walker while taking a doctor named Sadiq to Alexandria. Rick and Michonne are devastated by the death of their son, but his eternal hope inspires them to continue their fight as many Saviors under Negan's command begin to tire of the horrible conditions at the Sanctuary as they witness the atrocities that the loyal army of Negan commits against his enemies. The group of Saviors led by Alden abandon Negan to join him at the top of the hill when Rick convinces the Scavengers to finally turn against the Saviors.

Negan sends Simon to kill a scavenger as punishment to keep the others in line. He finds Negan's punishment too light. Instead of Simon, he kills all the scavengers except Jadis, when Negan finds out about Simon's actions, he kills him as the season comes to an end. Negan sets the stage for the Saviors to finally end the war. Eugene runs a factory of workers to make ammunition for the Savior's Army when Negan discovers that Dwight was a traitor who informed Rick about the Savior's plans. He starts punching Dwight. False information. This false information leads Rick's army directly into a trap as the Savior surrounds Rick and his allies with open fire.

All of his weapons backfire because Eugene sabotages the ammunition. Rick's army fights. turn against the Saviors and defeat the evil army while Rick and Negan fight in a fight to the death. Rick emerges victorious by slitting Negan's throat. Rick decides to let Sadiq save Negan's life knowing it's what Carl would have wanted as the various communities begin to rebuild. the war Morgan leaves alone to have a new beginning Dwight goes in search of his wife Sherry and Maggie gets angry with Rick for his decision to forgive Negan and vows to take revenge for Glenn's death in season 9 of The Walking.

Dead It has been 18 months since the defeat of Negan and the Savior Army, the communities have come together and rebuilt during a period of greater peace over the past 18 months Carol and Ezekiel adopt orphaned teenager Henry Maggie has given birth to her and the Glenn's baby, which she names Herschel Gabriel begins dating Jadis and Negan remains a prisoner in Alexandria. Tensions begin to rise when some former Savior still supports Negan's methods and resents his new way of life. The selfish and cowardly Gregory attempts to kill Maggie to regain his role as Hilltop leader, although Maggie quickly catches him and publicly executes him.

Jadis begins trading residents with a mysterious new group with a helicopter in exchange for supplies. Rick's decision to keep Negan alive also creates fractures between the communities, as Maggie wants to see him. Dead just like the women of OceansideThey begin killing former saviors as revenge for the various murders of the Oceanside men during construction to repair the bridge to the top of the hill. These tensions between the communities come to a head. An accident makes it necessary to amputate the arm. Aaron and the bitter saviors start a riot that draws walkers to the construction site. Rick attempts to lead the herd away, but is thrown from his horse and critically impaled by a piece of rebar bleeding from his wound.

Rick sacrifices himself by luring the herd towards the bridge. and blow them all away while all of Rick's friends and family mourn his death. Jadis finds him alive and contacts his mysterious allies with the helicopter to come pick them up and save Rick's life. Six years later, the different communities have lost contact with each other. Although they continue to grow and rebuild on their own, Michonne continues to raise the now-affair Judith, her nine-year-old daughter who has befriended the imprisoned Negan and Rick Jr, aka RJ, with whom Michonne had been pregnant. before Rick's supposed death. Aaron adopts the Young Gracie Rosita has become pregnant with Sadiq's baby although the relationship has ended and she begins to leave it.

Gabriel Carroll has married Ezekiel becoming Queen of the kingdom and the two continue to raise their adopted son Henry Maggie and her son Herschel have left the communities to join a traveling group led by a woman named Georgie and Daryl has lived alone for the last few years. six years old, plus a dog named dog who is endlessly searching for the body of his old friend Rick Judith saves a new group of survivors including Magna yumiko Luke Kelly and the deaf Connie. she and she brings them back to Alexandria while Jesus dies when a walker pulls out a knife and stabs him.

It turns out that a new group of evil humans known as the Whisperers had begun wearing masks made from the faces of the Walkers to help them blend in with the undead. Herds Michonne leads a group that manages to capture a young Whisperer named Lydia, who turns out to be the daughter of the Whispers' leader, Alpha, while Lydia is taken to the top of the hill for interrogation. Henry begins to develop romantic feelings for her. Lydia has been abused by her. mother and wishes to remain in the normal prosperous communities rather than return to live with the violent Whisperers, meanwhile, the kingdom organizes a massive trade fair between the communities that Ezekiel hopes will reunite the fractured groups at the fair that the leaders of the different communities promise. work together to defeat The Whispers, unfortunately Alpha has secretly infiltrated the fair where she disowns her daughter and begins luring unsuspecting victims into a trap while Daryl Michonne Carroll and Yumiko go in search of their missing people.

The Whispers Alpha Shows Daryl face a huge pack of Walkers who threatened to take them to different communities if anyone crossed into the Whispers' territory. When Daryl's group leaves, they discover that Alpha has made a border that designates the land of the whisperers, but what that border is made of shocks and devastates everyone on top of a

series

of pikes, are the heads of the victims that Alpha had taken away from the fair, including Enid Tara. and Henry as the season comes to an end, the still grieving communities are hit by a massive blizzard, the citizens of the kingdom are forced to abandon their home and take shelter at the top of the hill following the death of Henry Carol and Ezekiel's marriage falls apart, leading to their divorce. and while Negan risks his own life to save Judith during the blizzard, he finally earned some respect from Michonne in season 10 of The Walking Dead.

Mercer then helps infiltrate the Coalition Army back to the Commonwealth before Pamela arrests him for treason. Pamela then leads the Coalition into a trap and when she attempts to shoot Maggie, young Judith intervenes and takes the bullet, instead a distraught Daryl takes Judith to the hospital for help, as Pamela needs a pack of Walkers on Commonwealth walls to trigger a city-wide blockade. Unfortunately, Pamela is unaware of the situation. new Walker variants that overran the city's defenses as the Walkers fled the streets of the Commonwealth.

Pamela orders her soldiers to protect the city's elites and abandon everyone else to certain doom, although Daryl finds the hospital abandoned, he is able to donate his own blood to save Judith's life.
