Foreign things have changed quite a bit in my little corner of the world. Winter still lasts here, but the days are getting longer and there are signs of spring in the air. We may have to look closely to find them, but they are there. and the world is definitely waking up from its winter slumber the foreigner has experienced a big change in the last month. I'm sorry to say that we had to say goodbye to our Springer Spaniel Molly after 16 long, wonderful years, she had grown tired and it was a difficult decision to let her go, but it was also the last thing we could do for her.

I really miss her company, the way she always greeted me with her wagging tail and leaned in to hug me every chance she got. She was also a loyal friend and she always listened to my ramblings without judging her. I will miss her a lot and home is a much calmer place to be, so here I am getting used to our new, smaller family and I have been reflecting on how easy it is to fall into a busy life and forget to take more time for myself. and to the quiet things that I love and give me joy and a sense of calm.

Losing Molly has reminded me that sometimes we need to take stock of the important things in life. reconnect with those we love and refocus I guess in my case it's about altering my perspective a little and being more present in the Here and Now thank you I've been spending a lot of time in the garden and preparing the beds for In the spring, some seeds They are already underway and towards the end of March the sewing will soon improve. I enjoy growing some of the plants on my windowsill so I can see the changes in the comfort of my own home, but there are onions, cauliflowers and broada.

The beans grow in the cold frame behind the shed. The sweet peas are fine too and don't mind a little cold, which is good as there was snow on the ground yesterday. I also took some plant cuttings from both. In the garden and in the house I find it fascinating how plants can multiply in this way and it doesn't cost a cent. You would be surprised how many plants you can propagate this way simply by cutting a little here and there and growing it in a little water. I have been known to pluck the occasional stem from a plant while out for a walk and take it home to try my luck thank you thank you foreign foreign foreign foreign foreign foreign foreign foreign I have been spending much of my free time reading and not so much knitting and spinning since Molly left us.

I'm not back on my mojo, but I've been crafting and recently started a cross stitch project and haven't done it. that for quite some time now, so it's good to revisit those skills, oh, foreigner, foreigner. I've recently been flipping through some old novels that I've been meaning to read for a few years. Rebecca by Daphne de Maurier is one of those books that draws you in. Snuggling up by the fire under a blanket with a cup of tea, this Timeless classic is a masterpiece of mystery, romance and suspense. It allows me to escape the fast lane for a while, so thanks for watching and spending a little time with me. until next time take care foreigner
