Everything You Need To Know About Westworld (Seasons 1-2) | CRAM IT

Jun 05, 2021
It's time to go back to the Western world, well, also the Shogun world and the royal world and the British Raj world. Listen season two was epic, there's a lot going on, but before we get into all that, let's take a quick look at the main events of the season. one, so we're all on the same page, shall we go west? was the original brainchild of two brilliant men, Robert Ford and Arnold Webber, their concept was to create an immersive Wild West theme park populated by incredibly realistic robots called hosts while guests wandered around. freely and interact with any host they wanted, however they want, the hosts themselves are stuck in pre-programmed loops based on memories and stories provided to them Dolores is a rancher's daughter Maeve is a lady Teddy is a gunslinger and so on with Eventually Arnold came to believe that hosts were capable of true feelings and even conscience, so it would be wrong to let paying customers torment and kill them over and over again.

He can open the park, so he programmed Dolores to kill him and all the other hosts, which she did. But Ford went ahead with his plans anyway largely with the help of the Ford Corporation. Oh, that Ford is incorrigible. Delos was run by a man named William who married the daughter of the company's founder. William first arrived at the park with his new brother-in-law. Logan law and developed some very complicated feelings about it, he was fascinated with Arnold and Ford's creation, but saw that it revealed a darkness within him that he had never

Bernard thought he was human, but he discovered the truth during the first season. I'm not, I can't be my wife, my son, so the park opens and operates for over thirty years without a major incident, except for the lack of a churros cart, which just gets annoying over time. Ford becomes bitter towards humanity and accepts Arnold's point of view, so he begins to implement a plan to allow the host to break out of his circuits and attacks his tormentors, beginning by giving them some of his traumatic memories, then encouraging Dolores. to merge his personality with a homicidal character named Wyatt.

He also gives Maeve, the Madame character from the Western world's main brothel, the power to verbally control other high-ranking hosts. Employee named Charlotte Hale emerges, she's just interested in some mysterious data the company has been collecting in the park. It's our little research project that matters to Lois, that's where the real value is that she hides in the mind of a host named Peter Abernathy that she plays. the role of Dolores, her father, in the season finale during a VIP gala in the park. Ford encourages Dolores to kill him and begin attacking the park's human visitors.

William is now an old man whose wife recently committed suicide. He came back to the park and has some sort of personality. test, I had to prove her wrong, so I came back here because that's what this place does well. reveal your true self. he witnesses the massacre and seems pleased that the hosts have finally freed themselves and that Ford and Arnold's game is now real. This is Ed Harris. The boy loves chaos, while Maeve is ready to use her powers to escape the Western world forever, but turns around at the last second, even though she now recognizes that she is a robot and has no blood relatives, she still feels tied to the character of her daughter. she was assigned during a previous cycle, so she comes back to save her, which basically catches you up so far, although we should also meet a few more characters who will become important later.
This is Elsie, she is an engineer who worked for Bernard until Ford told her to. to silence her we thought she was dead but she's coming back in the second season it's pretty hard to die on this show it's like everyone here has some kind of agenda except me this is Lee he wrote the stories and narratives for the park visitors to play his frequently exasperated experience and this is Ashley Stubbs, he's the head of park security and also a Hemsworth, we're almost ready to start talking about season two, but there's still no important, important, delicious Nolan II. concepts that the show introduces slowly throughout the season, but that we are going to leave aside up here, first control units, each presenter has one, they are like the opinions and/or of the host world, they can be found in the host skulls and is where their memories and personalities are stored.
It consists of a very tough outer shell, impenetrable even to bullets, with a perfect spherical container

n as a bead inside the control unit. In a very real way, it is the host they can drop into. The 3D printed body and mind of the host will remain unchanged after the project, so remember all the mysterious data that Charlotte Hale came to Westworld to find and protect, they are not data about the hosts or summaries of

everything

that happened in the Westworld season 1, although they are not useful. It's an archive of brain scans for every guest who has ever visited Westworld.
Those black and white hats they assign you when you first enter. That's how they scan your brain and watch it as you participate in all the various activities in the park. It's that legal don't be stupid, this is the future, laws don't matter and what if they had a guest that wasn't a person with a hat? The diabolical plan was ruined, fortunately it never came up, the idea was to use all this data to perfectly replicate a human. Vega did not recover. I'm afraid not. This was the speech William used to convince his father-in-law. Powerful technology mogul James Delos invested in Westworld when Ford

ed money, although the process was very close to working for long enough.
Host versions from real people always eventually fail and perform poorly so I'll keep you here a little longer to make some observations. This time it made it to day 7, so that's progress. William tried to get a host father-in-law to work for so long that he transformed from Jimmy Simpson to Ed Harris before finally giving up the crib. This is a special room inside Mesa's Westworld headquarters that houses all backup data for all hosts. It also contains a virtual Westworld environment where the backup hosts' mines recreate their classic loops for all eternity. It is very similar to Twitter.
Ford had him erase this memory, so he doesn't realize it in First, but before the big massacre in season 1, Bernard made a copy of Ford's mind and placed it inside the crib. Remember that this is an important detail for season 2. Finally, the forge, this is a huge server hidden underground in a distant corner of the Western world. Park that housed all the secret data collected from the park's human guests over the years. It is also where Ford created a new environment he called the valley beyond a paradise where host minds could live and retain their memories and personalities without any interference from human hosts.
It's good for them because we're seriously the worst, okay, we're almost there, the season 2 recap you've been looking for should be right over the next ridge, have you ever seen anything so full of splendor, but first Are you worried about time jump season? 1 of West's World was largely seen through the eyes of the host who spent 30 years trapped in time loops, so it was quite difficult to get your bearings and know when different things were happening. He had a feeling you'd come back. Season 2 is more linear, with one important exception, we're looking at two timelines because at a crucial moment and the action, Bernhard intentionally s

bles his own memories as you do, season 2 begins right after season one ends with Dolores, the exuberant Wyatt, leading the hosts in an uprising against their human masters, but the episodes also occasionally jump to actions specifically related to Bernard that take place two weeks later, when an external extraction team from Delos arrives at the park for this study, let's clear Bernard's mind and progress through

everything

in chronological order, let's get back to base, guys.
The second season of Pratt's Gonna Want to Talk also contains some extended flashbacks, so let's get them out of the way before we die. Arnold brought only one hostess, Dolores, with him on a trip to the real world, since in the real world outside the park, no. On the set of the MTV show that would mean nothing to her, he showed her a future city or, from her perspective, a current city of hers and took her to the house he had been building at the time for the family. her. Arnold and Dolores became so close. in fact, Ford relied on her almost exclusively to create Bernard and that was the only reason it definitely didn't happen, so he could take Fridays off in the summer, while Ford hoped to create a perfect copy of Arnold.
Delores recognized that there may be a benefit to modifying his personality a little, say removing that part that forced him to commit suicide to himself and all the hosts, which is how Bernard remained stable while all the other hosts modeled real human self-destruction. We also learned more in Season 2 about what drove Williams' wife, Juliette. her to commit suicide she turns out to be played by Sela Ward, who had other offers on the table. Additionally, Juliet found a memory card that had been stolen and gave William a copy of Dallas' entire file on him based on brain scans of her seeing the darkness within her husband. for the first time was more than poor Juliet could finally bear a few words about a specific native host called acacia during the testing phase prior to the park's opening.
He had been programmed as a peaceful villager who lived with his beloved wife Kohana by chance. Cheetah stumbled upon the crime scene shortly after Dolores killed Arnold and discovered some of the secrets of consciousness when the park opened. A little piece was redesigned as a homicidal threat. A member of a hostile tribe known as the Ghost Nation, but still remembered his awakening and came to see the Western world as a false reality over the course of decades, he gradually became obsessed with the acacia tree that had escaped and was reunited so crucial with Robert Ford, who was in the park working on his final project.
I've been watching the room you've been in. also looking at me from the beginning because he tells him about his plans and tells him to look for a door that permanently leads from the western world to a new world, okay, so we're finally diving into season 2, which picks up right where it left off the first season. with the West World hosts wandering the park freed from their loops in possession of their traumatic memories and eager to destroy all humans. Dolores still fused with Ford's homicidal villain. Wyatt leads a violent group of hosts through the park killing anyone they encounter Skynet style.
I have evolved into something new and gained the ultimate role to play. She gives her kind and gentle friend Teddy a tour of the park's operations space, showing him all the creative and disturbing ways humans have tormented it over the years. We are bastards and that is why Wyatt Loras is hell-bent on erasing us, there is a bigger world out there, one that belongs to them and it will be enough to win this world, we will

need

to take that memory. Miss Delores and Teddy begin recruiting more hosts to join their cause. including the dangerous cluster soldiers known as the Confederates Or awaken while Maeve kidnaps West World story editor Lee Sizemore to help track down her daughter bought in the huge park, how do I get there?
She gathers you like X flexible toes, Hector, an armistice character she had found. often in her loop they probably would have said if they had known they were in a loop in the park Charlotte Hale meets Bernard, who she doesn't realize yet, as a host, he's that soft on the entrance. because the outpost is on the other side of this valley, together they set out in search of Peter Abernathy, who remains in the park despite Charlotte's best efforts to locate him in the first season, they expected a delivery from us to the mainland at the house who was supposed to arrive yesterday dela scorp taking a generally relaxed attitude toward the safety of their guests has refused to send a full rescue and extraction team until they receive all the data collected from Westworld guests over the years they They are still locked in Abernathy's main package.
William Wounded but still alive after the massacre, encounters a strange host who looks like Robert Ford.when he was a child and seems to speak for the old man. The next thing he wanted is for young Robert to challenge William to a new and mysterious game and he accepts the challenge you have to do. He comes back out, okay, let's find the door, oh, that's not necessary, remember that thing about violent pleasures and violent endings, it's like he hasn't even seen the first season. Williams' daughter, Emily, also didn't learn anything from the first season because she wasn't there yet. the show, but that's all about to change when we first meet her, she's living large in a robot park adjacent to Delos in the Western world, inspired by India when it was still under British rule. .
Ford's changes in the Western world also had an effect here in the British Raj. world that contains tiger hosts, so this situation is generally not great or great, even Emily manages to escape and wait by swimming until she reaches the western world. Can she make them barrier-free considering the size of these parks? What is the distance between them? Does the British Raj have its own headquarters? Do Hat scanners still work if you get them wet? Why was Walt so important? How come Claire and Russo were able to have babies on the island but no one else could? so many questions?
Anyway, as soon as she reaches the shores of the Western World, Emily is kidnapped by members of the Ghost Nation tribe. Charlotte and Bernard catch up with Peter Abernathy and save him from some confused hosts who still think their Wild West outlaws at the time Dolores are his new friends. Confederate Oh appears. Charlotte manages to escape but Team Wyatt grabs them both. Bernard and Abernathy files the militant hosts are gathering at the Fort of Desperate Hope where Dolores hopes to oppose the remaining humans working for the security of the park combined with her colonel of the army we will not only survive the course is against us, it mostly works, except that the delos team has its way with Abernathy, who Dolores still cares for like a father, but hey, at least many humans died when the battle.
Dolores betrays the Confederate O's by leaving them to be slaughtered and then finishing them off with some nitro, even though she believes. that the hosts as a group deserve to move on and find a new life outside of the part. She is also okay with most of them sacrificing their lives to make this happen. Pains in the streets but Wyatt in the sheets, not all of us deserve to do it. After the battle, Dolores orders Teddy to kill any surviving Confederates, but he is a sensitively programmed soul and simply can't bring himself to do it. Not bad.
He simply dressed that way during battle as well. This is Clementine, who works for Dolores Knox Bernard. and throws him out of a cave in a random corner of the park, once he comes to he finds Elsie chained there, apparently Ford just asked him to subdue her but not kill her in the first season, what guy in the back of the cave. He finds a hidden entrance to the old laboratory where the teenage Williams was working on the many failed copies of James Delos. Hey, this one didn't even burn. Oh, never mind, while those two creepy William and Emily are in the park.
Hello dad, she wants to take. It brings him back to the real world, but he's intent on solving that weird puzzle the robot guy told him, which makes it sound like I'm summarizing a toddler show instead of a cerebral HBO sci-fi drama, but here we are , William too. suspects that his daughter might be a hostess sent by Ford to trick him, which would be a very understandable concern if you lived in this version of the future, would you really be stupid with this law before you really attack me with this heart, so wait until does she do it? fall asleep and then rescue Maeve and her group have now expanded to include Westworld technicians named Felix and Sylvester, yes, like the cartoon cats and no, I'm not sure why they did that while searching for the daughter of Maeve, they actually run into a completely different robot.
Theme park full of Delos, this one inspired by feudal Japan, welcome to the Shogun world, the gang embarks on an adventure with the new parks, doubles for Hector and Maeve, a samurai named Musashi and a lady named Akane. She wants to protect a young geisha who has been kidnapped by the malfunctioning host Shogun's army and you know what I'm going to tell you guys, these things don't really matter much in the long run, but Maeve discovers that she can now issue commands. to other hosts using only your mind, which does matter. that's why we packed it in.
I think I'm finding it in preparation for a major assault on the Mesa complex, the headquarters of all operations in the Western world. Dolores alters Teddy's code, making him more brutal and violent and therefore open to Bill's increasingly frequent requests to kill him. weak I'm going to fail, maybe it's too effective. His plan is to load the train carrying the newly arrived guests to Sweetwater with explosives and detonate it beneath Mesa's main headquarters and then begin a floor-by-floor invasion while that operation continues. On the move Bernard and Elsie attempt to bring some of the Western world's major security systems back online in hopes of putting an end to the carnage, but something or someone inside the crib keeps mysteriously blocking them.
Spoiler alert: It's someone, so they head back to Mesa and Elsie hooks up Bernards. right into the crib so I can snoop around and see what's going on. Can't a robot just snoop around? It is even possible that it will be heard in the comments once inside the crib. Bernard meets his dead old friend, Robert Ford. Hello, do you remember how Ford? Bernard put a copy of his mind in the crib while he was still planning his big send-off and then erased Bernard's memories of this event. We've already talked about this, so here's where he predicts to Bernard and, by extension, viewers at home about Dallas' plan to digitize human minds and place them inside immortal robot bodies, we're here to code the hosts.
We were here to decode Ford also tells them that his goal was not only to free the host from his loops but to give them a real chance to survive in the great spectacle the human world. I promised you a fighting chance, but no, and I want to keep that promise while the old friends practically catch up to them, the train crashes into the mountain, literally sensing the dangers along the way. Elsie pulls Bernard out of the crib, but she doesn't realize that a small part of Ford's mind has joined the trip, but what should be the name of his shared brain partner?
Her advance to Denard plays again in the comments, the Ford now planted in Bernard's head. suggests that I close all remaining security protocols to give Dolores free rein over the entire Mesa complex, but that doesn't oblige him to let my store be gone while you Bernard makes the decision to help Dolores on his own Dolores gets the Peter Abernathy's control unit and Angela blows up the cradle and herself with it, this ensures that Delos cannot retrieve the hosts' minds from here and create new bodies for them. He also gives him one last chance to ironically use his welcome catchphrase to West, ultimately almost everyone.
The hosts participating in the raid on Mesa are killed and take many more humans with them when Dolores and Teddy returned to the park after the raid. Maeve also returns to the Western world after her side mission in Japan. She has an encounter with William, who she still blames her for murdering her and her daughter in cold blood for no reason in the first season, geez, get over the lady, that's such a loop, she goes back to her old farm and the Maximus runs his hand through the movement of wheat because even the hosts have seen the gladiator, unfortunately he can discover that his daughter has been reassigned to a new mother, so at least the Western world's Child Protective Services continues to function even more sadly .
Maeve watches helplessly as the ghost nation takes her daughter away before, perhaps most sadly, she is shot by a Delos response team. She's sad, show gang, I'm not going to sugarcoat it, just like in the o steam one, she take her back to headquarters. William clings to life, but Emily finds him and escorts him to safety, she hopes they will eventually be rescued by one of those Dallas extractions. teams that do not come to the report of it, but at this point it has already become complete, Ed Harris, you never go complete to Harris. I make my own decisions and I'm going to destroy this entire place, fully convinced now that his daughter is a hostess sent for it.
To trick him, Williams shoots her and kills her along with an entire team of human mercenaries. What do you think is her situation? We're talking a lot of families to compensate at this point seeing that she still has the memory card Ford gave her. All those years ago, William realizes that he shot his real human daughter. He briefly contemplates suicide, but then decides against it. I mean, he's still very, very rich. It's a Mesa thing. Charlotte Hale and a surviving technician discover Maeve's special ability to control other hosts. she figures out how to transfer Maeve's power to the injured but still saveable Clementine, turning her into a powerful anteye host weapon.
Meanwhile, Maeve uses her ability to remotely communicate with Kachina at the ghost nation camp and tells him to head to Ford's promised gate and stay with her. confident daughter, she also pulls a message from Ford's consciousness out of Bernard's mind and into her own, which is a pretty neat trick. I think I saw Criss Angel do that to a guy one time where he tells her that she was always her favorite hostess and then so many things. So, first, remove the dust, protune hoe and restore all the abilities to it. Ford still embedded in Bernard's mind suggests that he might have to kill LC to gain his freedom after all.
She knew who was in pain, so, horrified, Barnard traces the part of Ford's mind. inside yours and erases it, humans can do the same with enough vodka, but as a host, so can you. Stephen iPad Dolores is still determined to escape the Western world and destroy human civilization. Teddy, horrified by his plans and what he has become, shoots himself not to do it. be forced to help you change I got to Hofstra, of course, he didn't realize his brain is bulletproof or he could have made a backup plan, you know, I bet if Ant-Man shrunk real small and crawl up, and you know What doesn't matter is that a traumatized Dolores mourns Teddy, but takes her control unit with her in case she runs into an old acquaintance, William, and as they both head to the forge and to the so-called Ford Valley beyond, they decide to travel together, but not before Delores uses the bullets she took from Teddy's brain to sabotage Williams' clever gun strategy.
After all, he is a killing-crazed maniac. Kate Judah and the ghost nation also head to the Fords, where they believe they will find the door to another world. that Ford promised Maeve uses his restored powers to order some repairs, then pulls out the remaining Delos cards and also heads to the forge in a last-ditch effort to reunite with his robot daughters, which is immobilized by a team of Delos mercenaries who only They recognize that the hosts are truly alive and sacrifice themselves to save her. They can take our lives but they will never be able to take the robots.
Delores and William arrive at the forge just in time to save Bernard, who has been assaulted by a ship. William tries to shoot Dolores but ends oh no, he needs to kill we were designed to survive, so she and Bernard go to the forge without him and use Abernathy's control unit to unlock the system. Their plan is to scan all the data that Delos tracked. about visitors to the park over the years to learn all about humans and how to kill them, kind of like if Jason Voorhees had his own master class on the secret, we need it inside, what's inside.
Bernard and Delores communicate directly with the forge that takes the form of Logan. delos only have their father's memories and they are and he explains that copying human minds into the host doesn't work well because humans are very rudimentary and simple, basically the program is denying the human race, the truth is that a human is just a brief algorithm. Once you get to know them, their behavior is quite predictable. Forge Logan accompanies Dolores to a virtual library containing all of the park's data on its human visitors. She reads about human nature. The forge then opens a path to Ford's Valley, past a sanctuary for the hosts' minds where they can live their lives free of humans with their memories intact.
They will leave their bodies behind but their minds will continue to live here in the forge. The humans in the park they can't see the entrance because again we are the worst but the ghost nation andother surviving hosts begin to make their way to the other side. Barnard sees the valley beyond as a blessing to the host, but Laura's season is just another cage designed for them by humans, the world just another false promise. They have chosen to divorce once they leave the forge and return to their bodies. Dolores begins to erase all stored data and floods the entire area at that moment.
Charlotte Clementine and the Delos team arrived causing mass chaos at the entrance to the valley. Hector and Armistice are killed in the fight while Maeve sacrifices herself to allow her daughter, her daughter's new mother, and a cheetah to pass through the portal to safety. William gets up and enters the forge, but we never see him arrive at the actual facility. More on this later inside the Fort grounds. Barnard realizes that Dolores will almost definitely succeed in her quest to wipe out humanity and probably He'll end up killing most of the other hosts too, so shoot him.
I won't let you hurt anyone. more people, prevents the fort from erasing all the data, but cannot stop the flood, taking Abernathy's files, he locks the system again and meets with Charlotte and her team and they all return to Mesa once there, Barnard speaks with Elsie and is dismayed to discover that he was in favor of eliminating the host using the Clementine protocol, which would be a very good name for an out-of-control spy movie. She then sees Charlotte kill LC to eliminate a particular witness. I wish you were the kind of person with the moral flexibility I need, but I've read your file, perhaps recognizing for the first time the true threat that humans pose to the host type.
Bernard's conscience is very similar to the force that awakens at the moment when he thinks he is listening to give him instructions, but in reality it is his own voice that makes decisions for the first time. Is this the end of your story, what do you want Will your kind survive? Bernard decides to bring Dolores back, but with a new body that looks exactly like Charlotte Hale, this will allow her to escape the West. world and should lock Tessa Thompson in at least sporadic appearances of the third season Dolores Charlotte I guess technically it's Dolores slash Charlotte slash Wyatt now shoots the real human Charlotte Hale and smoothly takes her place you wanted to live forever Bernard then deliberately mixes it up her memories so that the inevitable Delo extraction team will not be able to discover what she did and identified Dolores as the fake Charlotte and this is the point where the timeline splits.
The rest of the story is seen exclusively from Bernard's point of view in bits and pieces scattered throughout. At the end of the season because he is confused and wandering through his own memories, the Naked Loz team finally arrives in West's world approximately two weeks after Ford's gala and the original host's attack. They've sent a team led by the no-nonsense Carl Strand to take it down. all together and find out why you haven't received all that sweet guest data yet. I'm here because, as far as we know, this remote control for The board was with you during the beginning, the team discovers that the cradle has been destroyed and the host backups are gone, but they can still rescue some control units from the many dead hosts scattered around the park.
Hey, let's see how much I can. He gets this on eBay and meets Bernard on the beach, right where he slept after erasing his memories, and takes him back to Mesa until Espresso will want to talk to you along the way, they find Ford's dead body. one of the tigers from Raj's British world that came ashore along with Emily and the consequences of Dolores' decision to flood the forge and the valley around it. Barnard says everyone, including people who watch season 2, episode 1, thinks he's referring to the empty bodies. of all the hosts who came to the valley beyond, but he actually means that he is responsible for the destruction of humanity by freeing Dolores.
Oh, Lisa and Jonathan, you got us two points this round at Mesa Strands. The team meets up with who they believe is Charlotte Hale. but it's actually Dolores undercover, which would probably also be a good name for a spy movie we've been pushing around the park, securing it one sector at a time. Dolores Charlotte orders Bernard to tell the team where they can find Abernathy's file. Peter Abernathy's control. The unit is in sector 16 and is taking everyone back to the forge, so let's go for a walk. Bernard returns to the valley beyond once there, so this is the forge.
They find Dolores' bodies in Bernard. New shot. Dolores pretends that she is carrying Abernathy's files. with all the guest data to Adela's satellite, but is actually beaming the valley beyond Paradise containing all the host mines to an undisclosed location, also drops Teddy's pearl, there you go Ted, I hope like a random corner space, then kill his team and Berna and head to the beach where Stubbs, the park's head of security, is loading the survivors into two rescue boats. Felix and Sylvester arrived there and recovered Maeve's body, which probably explains how she returns in season three and even though we saw her bloodied and near death.
William entered the forge and we never saw him enter, somehow he appeared on the beach too waiting to be extracted to the mainland hmm. Stubbs hints to Charlotte that he knows who she really is, probably because he is a double undercover host himself hmm. the heels of my car the waves go towards a boat and she goes to the mainland with the pearls of five unknown hosts most hidden in her bag in the human world Dolores finds her way to Arnold's old house, this is the same one for the that he was building his family, which he showed her during his first trip to the city a long time ago, since he had the foresight to set up a makeshift laboratory in Mesa for her, there he uses it to build a new body of Dolores in one of the other host mines in the Charlotte Corps and then begin work on Bernard 2.0.
I reminded you once before the season ends with a flash forward to the distant future in a ruined Forge that has been reclaimed by the elements. A host version of Emily tries to perfect a host version of her. father, just when the James Dulles copies were malfunctioning for years, it seems that Emily from the future is struggling to make the new Williams for a long time, that's a lot of stuff and honestly you probably don't need to know most of it because the third season seems to take place. largely in the real world, so we can end the ghost nations and the confederate OHS and the mazes and gates all together from this day on, let no one say you can't tell a pearl from a cradle, thank you for looking at the canyon.
