Apr 03, 2024
Welcome back today we're going to remove remove remove remove remove cut throw break all those things and the EGR

valve

so I heard some of you asked what is an EGR

valve

yawning EGR stands for exhaust gas recirculation valve what does it does it circulates the unburned exhaust gas back to the engine to be burned again. You don't teach that stuff, you can't learn it anywhere, but if an obvious exhaust gas recirculation valve means it recirculates the exhaust gases, yeah, I mean it's not. It is obvious that in this video we are going to use an EGR

delete

kit, adapt it and improve our car.

You're ready to see this, you're ready to see this, so when you get your EGR kit you're going to want to check that everything is okay. that's taking out all the pieces and making sure you have everything you need to do this job because you don't die and you don't finish it, so this EGR kit comes with the pipe itself, these blanking plugs, as you can see here. We are going to need them, this is a gasket that goes on top of that blind pulp. We got new bolts from these so the desk is good because they always break and the washers as you can see here are a complete kit now this is what goes inside the On the top of the EGR we're going to use it for our holes boost later, but now you'll just

it.

Look, there's the starter hose part, look that also screws on, so we're looking at our entire EGR Kit and we're totally happy with what we have, so now we can go ahead and do our job. The next stage we have to remove the EGR valve. I now have a full video on my other channel. BMAC bags, click the link in the description I will put one there so you can go straight there but just removing the EGR is a basic thing, pretty simple, not difficult, a little complicated but not difficult, once you know that nothing It's a problem, so just start.

By removing the obvious parts, we are now moving the entrance here, the intake duct. I should say, just take it off. You have to need some kind of clamps, you see. Go ahead, just tighten it, put it back on, and that's it. It should be fine, just a matter of moving it away from the pipe, trying to create as much space as possible because you're going to have to move around here a little bit. Now I put a glove over the entrance itself because I didn't want anything to go down there, but you can put tissue paper, anything within reason, anything you can get out of plastic bags or anything, so just loosen the top of the tube with the tendril bushing and this return vent hose that goes into that tube, make sure you have a little bit of movement there.

Now you want to try to undo all the little bits that are around the plate that you're going to remove and just undo the clip and slide it back as you can see I'm doing the arms by lifting up the clip and removing the hose, it's not hard, but you know , just make sure you don't do anything that falls through these holes because it would be very difficult to get it back and it would be a nightmare if it got into the engine, now just continue removing the two bolts on the top of this EGR, as you can see, I'm touching here and there are a couple of Allen bolts under the pump, I think they're six thousand and seven thousand. but take your time because it's in a pretty difficult area and it's a little tricky and these are these allen bolts that have a way of turning towards you and you can really wear out the thread in the middle until you try. and be a little careful and make sure you get a really good seat when you try to undo them or else you're going to twist them and have trouble getting them out so now we're just removing the vacuum hoses that are connected to the top of the EGR and the actuator itself we'll just remove them, they just come off.
I think there are three more and a hose with formal holes. Now what you see I'm done reaching the top of the exhaust manifold to Undo the EGR tube with a 12 mil or a 13 or depending because they can change and just undo them just put your hand on the back and undo them and then you should be able to take out your EGR, go simple so get your EGR Delete Kit and we're going to start

install

ing it now so this is right behind the exhaust manifold you put the gasket on and then you put the blank cap on the gr .
Really simple stuff this is what I was doing before doing now just put a little bit of oil in it just to give it a little help while it's happening but you just put them in tighten them and you should be fine so here's your EGR pipe and it's just a matter of setting everything up. To make sure everything's still good, what you're going to need is your rubber seal, as always I like to put a little bit of oil on it to make sure everything's okay, so just make the switch, but all your bits and pieces.
To make sure this works, you can see I'm just simulating and making sure everything fits together like it's supposed to, so when you're pretty happy with how things are, just line it up and through one of those silver bolts and You see me, make sure you put a washer on the end because this one has movement if you're going to use this particular brand and you can see I'm just hand tightening it and then tightening it a little bit, no, no. not just tight, I should call it not tight, just tight now when you get here you might have to move the rubber seal a little bit as you see I'm doing it on the screwdriver because it's not moving. bit so make sure you get it in the right position so you can get it up so once you're happy take your time and get it up do things completely simple and make sure you don't overtighten it because you don't twist them these are bolts, so that's the blanking plug I'm putting on top of the EGR.
I just tightened it real quick you can do it mostly by hand and I'm using a silicone hose because I'm trying to use the old one it wasn't a nightmare so I bought a silicone hose to make it work. There you will see, we put it there. It is a reducing hose. You'll be able to get them on my website, so if you need them, you can. get one, here's the other Jubilee clamp, but I'm going to use that, they'll provide that too, there you go, look at really simple things and just start putting them back together, you know, if you need help sliding them like they do.
Use a little bit of oil or use some kind of water and soapy liquid just to help slide it in, but the ego just ties it up really nice and snug, there you have all the simple things, really very simple things and you've cleared your EGR took him about 15 to 20 minutes, it's well done, so here's what you do with the hoses: just put a screw in them, in a moment it will be time to remove them later, just put one of the screws you took out earlier in those. holes and make sure it's tight and there's no vacuum leaks, there you go, look, this is what they're going to look like, something like that, but we'll come back later and delete all that. valve completely so plug everything back in and put everything back together the opposite of how you took it out so I hope you enjoyed the video don't forget to comment rate subscribe to the channel next video I will make videos but I'm not I'll tell you when it comes out, yes, thanks for watching.
