kratos

when will it end when the glory of sparta is known throughout the world the glory of sparta you did it for yourself his desire for conquest knew no limits until this day the Eastern barbarians numbered in the thousands and descended upon the Spartans without mercy Oh, the battle lasted almost hours The discipline and training of the Spartans did little to stem the tide of ruthless barbarians who are about to create us The soldiers faced a massacre as his young captain faced the end of his brilliant career and life, but for Kratos victory was worth any price, even his soul destroys my enemies and my life is yours, never make a deal with the gods who desperately call.
Help will come to haunt Kratos throughout his days. I am sure that the sky split and the god of war advanced, descending from Olympus. He saw the creations of a god in a mere mortal. Ares would save Kratos. He would make him the perfect one. warrior his servant on earth only a simple promise of loyalty was required my life is yours ares yes, from this day I will carry out your will and his destiny was sealed as promised ares rescued his new disciples bringing to light the power of a god who destroys those who would slaughter kratos and his men in a horrible way too, since for the craters no simple sword and shield would be suitable for the new servant of the god of war harpies the swords of chaos forged in the depths without birds of hades once joined the chains remained thus chained and singed to the flesh a part of the wearer's body a permanent reminder of kratos' promise in exchange for supreme power aries' anger exploded from within that is called a shot but he would soon learn the true The cost of such power was too high even for Kratos to pay memories of what he had done in the name of the most sincere memories of how he had become a servant of the god of war, a beast whose humanity was stolen. and replaced it only with the will to kill, no one was safe, entire armies fell before Kratos and the soldiers who followed him. he on his endless path of conquest all in the name of his master those who offered resistance of any kind we confronted have quickly built this temple to offer prayers to Athena this entire town stands as an affront to Lord Ares burns this town burning fell to the ground emboldened by the god of war kratos' army was ruthless feared throughout the world for its brutality all that mattered was conquest in the name of kratos his great leader who has become almost invincible feared nothing but there was something in this temple something forbidden, all his instincts told him that he should never cross its threshold, never enter, be careful with Kratos, the dangers in the temple are greater than you think, but the warning of the village oracle fell on deaf ears , his ambition would not be denied, yes, the demons will kick your ass on that.
The instant the glory he had basked in turned to horror, the image of his last two victims would remain with him for all his days. With that act, Kratos knew that he could no longer serve his master, how could he forget to shed the blood of his own family? cruel trick orchestrated by the war guard my wife my son what they were like you are becoming everything I hoped you would be kratos now with your wife and son dead nothing will stop you you will become even stronger you will become death but when the flames consume the temple, Kratos realized that his true enemy was the god who once saved his life the same god who had now taken everything from him Aries From this night onwards the mark of your terrible act will be visible to all the ashes of your wife and your son will remain attached to your skin never to be removed and with that curse everyone would recognize him as the beast that his white skin had become with the ashes of his dead family the ghost of Sparta had been born where you will die What you did that night He set out to break his bond with Ares the God of War Your mind is preoccupied Your skills are still unmatched Do you have business with me?
I do this is not the topic to discuss. I don't see any other way. You have no reason to trust me Spartan I only ask you to try Your thoughts are not yours but I can help you and you are I believe these belong to you Use these objects to steal your mind Kratos Do not let the illusion deceive you You have the visions ceased alone I see you well you will need this skill for the path ahead of you and what path is that the path of freedom makes craters freedom yes freedom freedom from the furies that relentlessly hunt you in the name of ares and ultimately freedom from your bond with the god of war himself break an oath with a god of all the minds in question mine is not the one that should worry about you waver from sound mind to illusion in the beat of a heart is that any life for a great warrior the furies are close they cannot know that I speak with you.
I need to brush my mythology because I don't know who it was. Yes, only a coward hides. Ortho oracles. You know that I am one of the furies that forged your bond. You would have killed me sooner. I could even speak then tell me what has led you to this betrayal of your own kind it was you the injustice of your oath that made me doubt them it is possible that through all your suffering you still do not understand why you were chosen why Ares needed you while he still needs to speak clearly now Kratos, the god of war, has been plotting for years.
I was born upon joining the warguard in the queen of fury, enraged and mad, aerys hoped to conceive the perfect warrior that I was only a disappointment to him he inspired me I was given the task of fulfilling the oaths although my burden was great it was decided to be of service to those who said they loved me but it was you Kratos was the final task of your bond that made me question my family's actions. I looked into canceling with Elethia. It was she who revealed to me Ares's plot to overthrow Zeus, but he needed the perfect warrior.
Aries shaped you to break down the same walls of and my life is yours to make. you are indebted only to him ares and the three tasks of blood devised by my mother spill the blood of your enemies the blood of innocents and I will do it without the help of a fury not much more now spartan inside are the eyes of truth the same eyes My mother was ruthlessly taken from Alethia. I learned of the plot between my parents to overthrow Olympus. I couldn't believe Alethia's words. Then she showed me the truth. The god of war would tear down the very walls of Olympus.
She knew he had to stop them. Alethia and me. I tried to warn Zeus, but when Ares found out about our attempt, he sent my mothers to us. 10 mothers in plural. Well, her conception came from the Queen of Fury, so maybe she became a prisoner in her own temple. Ares and my mothers knew that if the eyes of truth were hidden, then their evil plan would not be revealed and they would soon reign over the gods themselves, who out of ambition have their plan in motion. They need you back. They will stop at nothing until you return to Lord Aries.
Aerys will have to find. another to do your bidding, I know, I'm sorry when I found out my mothers were close, I came to what we have special plans for you, so all this effort and you still, oh womb and back of the guitar, come sisters, we will break it within the walls, you receive fern gully mm-hmm, phew, satisfied, the sisters returned home with their prize within the walls of their prison, they would delve into the soul of the broken warrior and lure Kratos back to his place as his parents' servant. The artwork is so amazing, yes.
It's really oh, it's been too long, never again oh man, yeah, oh, that's miserable I just think his brother was like that for a lot longer. Fair point hello kratos yes no thanks devorah what's up? You seem confused, Kratos is having trouble reminding us, a special time together, what's okay? I'm quite adept at teaching respect for what you've taken, I owe you, oh pretty, yeah, clever, your anger means nothing, huh, this poses quite a bit of a rough landing, oh, what the hell is that nose and that face, oh Jesus, oh, so, so? I've been away too long.
You can see it in the morning. Come. Do not trust. A brief moment of happiness with what you have experienced. Who wouldn't want to be stuck there in that memory. Over time you will forget everything you have. lost can be yours once more if this is what keeps you in the service of Lord Ares then this is what you will have it is not real I can be your reality the hard part is over spartan you have made the ultimate sacrifice offer yourself to us completely and you will live in a blissful illusion and you will let death be your reality.
She has a hella cate blanche voice. yes, yes, what is the meaning of this? you've made a bad choice, he's made a few of those to be fair, yes it sure is. You have a stretch of the opera mask, but as the

version of the switch, you will now get it. You are not fit to be called a Spartan. Who is that, as captain,They lost everything because of you? Do you think Kratos was going to kick his own ass? There you go oh no it's not real Kratos isn't real still doesn't make it easy to see that face no I'm sorry you see your face probably all the time you killed them once so of course they weren't there by chance , you think. you want the truth the truth will only bring you pain the truth is pain sometimes and he already has the pain you could have the truth too yes, yes, it will make you feel much better, it is a huge and elegant temple, yes, I mean it was. true, very true, okay, so the first part of our god of war

journey

, the complete story of kratos by kratos world, what do you think?
So my first feeling whenever I see some of this god of war stuff is that I need to brush up on my mythology because I either orthos or so I think, yeah, or thoughts that I didn't really understand, I think they were orthos, no, I didn't have idea of who this person was and even my knowledge of the furies, it was like I know the furies very well, but it's like I don't know them the same way I know the Greek gods. I was like my knowledge was super limited. An overwhelming feeling that I need to go back to the books and learn again.
Especially because the mythology is so rich in narratives, it's a lot of fun to learn about it, but also the story of Kratos. I knew it was a tragic story. I knew this because I asked you at one point and said why is he so white. I'm white, but this guy is white. I thought that doesn't seem to fit and Kenny explained it to me well, it's the wife's ashes and his son's ashes, I mean Jesus, that's depressing, yeah, I knew it was sad, but seeing the whole story. develop learning about his brother learning about how um I think it was Aries who first took his brother and Athena yeah and just the history he has with those two specific gods of this enriches the story I know there's more to their relationship with athena that's going to come that thing that we haven't learned about yet um and I'm very interested in that because athena was always my favorite goddess and aries is just ugh, harry is an idiot, a bastard, um in every story. he ever told him that he's a bastard and this takes the cake, yeah, and this covers a lot of the games he hasn't played before, so this is a good introduction and it's great. getting your similar perspective from not having played any other god of war game, starting with this story from the beginning because like and the first god of war these are kind of prequels to the first god of war and the first type of war that you like, like Athena plays a very important role in it, so it will be very fun when we get to that part, which could be in the next, the next part, I'm not really sure, but yeah, it's what same.
What you said about the furies, I don't know enough about them and I'd like to know a little bit more about that and we said it while we were looking at the artwork on this, it's really beautiful the way they show it. very beautiful like in a very violent game, you know, there is a lot of beauty in it. I loved how the artwork and stylization looked, it almost looked like a medieval painting of ancient stories, sometimes they are medieval. paintings of biblical passages or famous ancient things like the odyssey and all that, um, and this looked a lot like that, but then it had those kind of modern transitions that made use of blood and gore to allow for a segway between scenes.
That's like white blood or like washes on the camera. I love the artistry and the beauty that they found within the horror and violence because it's an interesting duality and it's interesting to try to find that balance. I couldn't help but think during this. because we saw battles to the death, I wondered what the confrontation between Wonder Woman and Kratos would be like because they are both god slayers, okay, they both have a problem with Aries and they have defeated Aries, so I couldn't help it. sit here and think about it, I wonder what that would be like, yeah, we saw God of War versus spawn, uh, which is one of the first ones they did, I'm sure what season one, maybe season one or season two. for the battle to the death, what I love about Kratos is that he is such a flawed character, for a hero, which is good, but he has a good vengeance aspect to him, plus you play the game as it is.
You're, it's weird, it's like you're, you're David facing off against Goliath like everyone else you know you are because you're facing off against the gods, but David is still a super powerful badass. um, so it's, it's, it's. like super, so it's super fun to play and also someone to root for just because of all that power, it's not like you get a lucky shot with a slingshot or something, no, it's just overwhelming, um. they're just overwhelming gods, but since you know that from another's perspective, as someone who shouldn't be able to take down an entire pantheon, um, I mean, you know that and we'll learn more about Kratos as we go, uh, and I like how he . he gains more power, but yeah, I'm glad we're starting this

journey

.
I can't wait to play God of War Four. I'll always call it God of War Four and later on the channel, so that's something like that. what we're doing a lot with these trips we're like, you know, games that we want to play, we're learning a little bit more about them, we're just unexplored and, uh, the devil may cry, obviously, and playing dead might cry 5 in the channel. So yeah, I think God of War Four will be after Devil May Cry Five for an hour or on Sundays and then God of War Ragnarok comes out in November, so hope

full

y we'll get God of War Four like we're playing God of War Four. while God of War Ragnarok is out now, um, but yeah, well, I don't know the timing it all depends.
I'm just really curious to continue the creator's journey because I feel like, from the limited knowledge I have about Kratos, uh, which one. He's definitely improved upon today's viewing, but from the little knowledge I had about it, he, like you said, is a hero to root for and is a flawed character. I feel like he continues to be flawed and flirting with, yes, that hero line, like you. on the right side, yeah, kind of flirting with that, I feel it all the time, so it's going to be really interesting to see how his story develops. Let us know what you think about this in the comments below and uh, we'll have more God of War. next week because it's our monthly Monday showcase for God of War.
