Non-Gamer Watches #22 "Star Wars: The Old Republic"

Star Wars things we'll see in the video in just a second. I filmed it last week before a lot of stuff happened and man 2020 still sucks, most recently with the loss of Chadwick Boseman, who played icons like James Brown Thurgood. Marshall Jackie Robinson and of course King T'Challa, the Wakandan Black Panther forever, was also an advocate for the Black Lives Matter movement, a strong voice for positive change in the world and creating space for black and brown bodies. and the fantasy that we hadn't really done it before and of course it didn't just this job requires us all we stand on the shoulders of giants and we don't do it for ourselves we don't always do it for tomorrow we do it for the next generation and the person behind us, some of you may know that I was a professional basketball player and I wanted to take this opportunity to express my support for the wnba, the NBA, other athletes and other leagues that were taking a stand by not playing against you.

You may not know it, but many NBA players were very hesitant to enter the bubble because they knew their plane was going to divert attention from the Black Lives Matter movement and it has affected many of their lives, as we have seen even recently. with masayu jiri that no one is safe from this, no matter how much money you have or what your status is, these athletes are doing something that they feel they need, they are doing what is in their power to help create positive change in the world and we can all do that we can all create positive change like diego says at the umbrella academy everyone changes the world it's scary but that's the deal i hope some of the people who are upset about these athletes deciding not to play take a moment to reflect on how they demand black bodies to perform for them without regard for their humanity when the raptors first spoke about not touching one of the things i heard was freddie van vliet saying it didn't cost them anything to kneel or wear a slogan on the back and the reality of the situation is that it didn't cost the raptors anything to take a knee because it cost everything to colin kaepernick neil did it for them they are doing it for whoever comes Next we can all be a force for positive change in the world.

We don't do it for tomorrow. Change doesn't happen that quickly. We do it so that one day someone will stand on our shoulders.
