If you do strenuous activities, such as lifting heavy objects, walking a lot, standing, or bending, it may take two weeks before you can do everything again. Now you won't feel 100% normal in a week or two. But you'll be able to do most of what you want to do. The only common side effect ofgallbladder
surgery is eating, having to go to the bathroom, and post-cholecystectomy diarrhea.About 15% of patients may have problems with that. It generally improves with the passage of time. And if it's very serious, there are some medications we can try that will usually provide a lot of relief.
