Will my lifted CRV Flex? DESTROYED my trailer!

Mar 19, 2024
foreign guys welcome back to the garage man today well today I want to start with some fabrication work and stuff on the CRV like I mentioned in yesterday's video but I woke up this morning bro and not only is it windy but it's also quite cloudy of course I checked the forecast and yes it's going to rain today around one so in a few hours of course this is my available space to work on this right now but it's not covered yet so I need make other foreign arrangements, clean up the booth a little real quick because we're going to park a car here to keep it safe.

I would say let's keep it out of the rain, but hey, you know, foreign foreigners go to Put Persimmon here for a few days so you know we have room to work in the CRV. He'll be nice and safe here covered it so he doesn't get waterlogged when it rains and that means the The garage is ours, okay, we've got a nice little organ area. It's been a while since I've done work inside the garage. Anyway, I have the rear window here. I would like to put the rear window, believe me, I think. It would clean up the look quite a bit, uh, and every time I drive this thing, I don't know if you've noticed, but the third brake light just moves around back here, but the only problem is the tailgate is gone. locking for some reason like we just have a bungee cord keeping it closed right now it's been like that uh ever since we got it it's like I I don't know I thought maybe it's some kind of sensor you know maybe I think the The window is closed or I don't know or I don't know dude, something I'm just afraid to put the damn glass window in there and you know, close it and with this thing like this it's going to break the glass again, you know what?

More Interesting Facts About,

I'm saying, oh, look at that man it's already raining, tent fan. I think the first thing on my agenda is that I need to clean this all up, so I mean, it's a wheel well, so there's a pretty thick layer of debris underneath and if I'm going to be welding. I need to remove all that garbage. Yes, I have to clean everything. I'll probably have to go ahead and remove some of this paint too, so that's what I'm going to do. Try to find out first, friend. I really wish I could find my grinder that plugs into the wall.

I use my wire wheel on the grinder and that would make the damn cake work. I mean, it'll make a mess all over the floor. but the wire wheel is going to kill the batteries like crazy, well I'll be dying, look what I found, yeah, my grinder. I also just realized that my wire wheel has definitely seen better days. protection protection for babies. I am not going to lie. I like the battery. one with a motor, not because it's foreign, thanks, okay, so I already cleaned most of this, uh, I still need to clean it with some acetone, but anyway I have it for the most part as far as it goes find this inner metal. the outside but right in this area here and it ends right at the door so I'm going to start welding it and I'm going to stop here and then I'm going to have to go ahead and cut this metal and get it. to actually stretch and close this gap like it is now, if I try, if I hit here and close this gap, it opens this one and vice versa, so I'm going to go ahead and weld all of this together and then I'm going to go ahead and cut and start stretching like that , but one thing I want to change here is that I needed to clear this and the way I did it is to just revert all of this, so what I want to do.

Now go ahead and Notch, uh, pretty much all of this comes out like the way the body comes down here and then swoops down and then goes straight down. I want it to stay that way because I don't know when we get there. This is all done and I'm going to put the rear bumper back on because we're going to put bumpers back on it. I don't know if that

will

end up getting in the way or not. Yes, moving forward. One thing I

will

say is. This takes a long time bro and um I mean I've never done this before so like most things I'm sure the passenger side will go a lot faster but I definitely messed up the wire wheel anyway , so I'll have to run.
Port transport and go get a new one, but I want to dig a little deeper into this before I break off and go to the overseas store. I know I've mentioned before that I have trouble soldering with it. Any time the helmet is down, like if you have lights on top, you know it shines inside the helmet, so I don't have lights on top, but I have my light bar set up where it illuminates just what I'm welding and then the rest of the room. . it's dark this is definitely the setup for me man this has helped me a lot so I struggled a little at first but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
I soldered it all the first time and then polished it. Now I'm going to go back and just make sure that everything is closed so you guys know it's like a series of thumb tacks so just keep going trying to keep it fresh because what I've learned is that you certainly don't. I don't want to overheat the panel because then it'll get all warped and crazy, you know what I'm saying, so look who it is, man, Federico, what is this? Oh yeah, Harbor Freight is sick. Raven ran to Harbor Freight for me on her way home from work boom boom boom boom yeah, we have extra now too, so I bought two four inch ones and one four and a half inch one.
I still have this other wheel, well, that I need to do and I showed you my wire wheel I broke that thing bro I've had this wire wheel for years and it finally finally wore out the next day. Last night I made a lot of progress on this thing, well on this side we still have a whole the other side to do there I need to finish this site here we have some welds and things that we need to finish and there are some there's like a hole back here I need a patch we have to make some pieces to close To cover these holes in the doors on both sides, long story short, we have a lot of work to do today, so yeah, let's get into it. doors like I showed you before, we have these big old holes in the doors, you know, because we also needed to cut a section of the door off, you know what sucks, ran out of gas though, bro, so yeah, gas, the tank fuel tank is probably empty.
The fuel pump, if I'm honest, definitely made this side a struggle to end up out of gas. I'm leaning towards maybe I should wait on these door sections until I get more gas, but I don't know, man. I figured we can at least make the templates and I'll cut the metal, put it up there and get started. I'll start tacking it on and if it looks like it's going well then I'll go ahead and finish it off nicely, so it would be a lot easier if I used transfer paper because I could put it here and it would stick, but all my transfer papers at Gabby's house since we took all merchandise. there, so we're stuck with using printer paper and what I'm going to try to do is start at one point and work my way down and basically just rub like rub the orange from the pencil onto the paper and hopefully we can do that. without it moving I guess it's close realistically I should probably oversize it so then I go back and just grind I don't know that's what I ended up with uh it didn't mark everything but there's an impression on the paper so I go Let's go ahead and trace it to make it darker, so I know where it is, thank you foreigner, so there are our pieces.
I simply cut them with a piece of sheet metal and tapped the side that is going to face in. with the solderable primer, so this is going to be the side that I won't be able to prime after I solder it, you know what I'm saying, and I went ahead and polished the back side and cleaned it up too, so now What I'm going to do is try it around them, on the tire, and have them start to take on a rounded shape, but I'm sure you can tell they're definitely oversized, so the idea is I'm going to take them in there and basically nail them in, you know , I'll pass and attack like here, like one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, you know what I'm saying, just push it. up in the way attack it to keep it all the way down once I have it all nailed down I'm going to feel it out to see if I'm comfortable welding this completely without gas if it's going to come out all true but yeah then we can grind it back up you know What I'm saying, grind it back into the shape of the door so it's not a weird oversized thing.
Wow, that worked pretty well, get out man, try to kill me, there's no tripod. Behind you there's a Brayden oh you wanted me to say something you guys are my fucking camera ah man it's dark once again buddy I gotta finish this tonight bro if I don't do it tonight and I gotta pick it up tomorrow . It's going to be three days I've been working on this we're almost there although I only have this door left to do I have to solder this hit it all with a little primer and that'll be it ah thanks foreigner working on this damn thing, but you know what, we've reached an end point.
I think we have everything closed, we have the doors, oh my God, so like I was saying, we have the doors all closed and now we don't have. There's a big hole here, so the primer is only temporary. I hit it with this solder primer. I have to do some more manufacturing. I don't know if I'll have to solder these spots yet or not, but Don't worry, it's not going to keep looking like this, honestly, I'll end up sealing this whole thing up and I think I want to do like a Raptor bed liner underneath just to make everything nice and strong.
Anyway, I have this side closed. Upstairs it also seems like every time I go to show you these damn doors I get the glare of the sun. I'll show you better each time we get this out because, um, about that title and thumbnail, oh well, I guess I thought the fenders on this

trailer

were stronger than they actually are. Well, God, at least it's good that I have a soldering iron now. Oh man, that will get polished. Of course, the sun shines a little here too. they're all closed uh there's the

flex

on my CRV it doesn't

flex

very well anyway guys I need to fix my

trailer

next time you see the CRV it'll be in the back of the trailer going somewhere to do something .
I hope it's more incomplete than this one, peace and see you in the next one.
