Solo Overnight under a Tarp in Heavy Rain

Hey guys, welcome back, not much of an introduction today, so I'm in a bit of a rush to get in here, we're having a storm. A thunderstorm is coming any minute, basically, so I need to put up a

tarp

and then it's gone. It doesn't really matter, after that I can work under the top, we'll continue from there, so that's job number one. This is my 4x4

that I'm going to use today. I'll get a lot of cover to potentially spend a lot of time underneath. Thank you. It's actually still pretty hot overseas, which is why the storm is coming because we've had that sort of week and a half mini heat wave.

This tarp is a 4x3. I thought it was a 4x4. I don't remember if I actually used it yet or not, but it means there are no center points along these long sides, so I can't put it in some sort of plastic knots to tighten it, which means I'll probably have to dip a corner if it

ing well I'm clearly in a bit of a rush when was. packing because I packed the cheap hat from Wish.com that I used the other week instead of my Therm-a-Rest oh, never mind, yeah, so I don't have a pump bag and I didn't bring my fan, this one does. a built-in pump, so I guess we're going to try to make this the pump valve, which is this spongy material here, so we'll see how that works.

It was working, but I ended up blowing it. I don't know what I'm going to do with this, it's actually quite long, it's longer than the bed and you have this weird pillow, well, let's give it a second use. I have a shortened sleeping bag and because I'm right under a tarp. I have my Hunker bivy bag to put in and it's pretty buggy too, but I have some bug spray with me and I'll probably just put my head down a bit. To do something abroad, I have my luxury pillow, this one is by Van Gogh and, yes, it makes a big difference.

I don't like covered inflatables. It actually worked out pretty well with this chair because I borrowed the one I usually use. Tigress's one for about a month, so I bought it around the same time, so I was forced to use it. I like the higher type of sitting position. I must admit it's not that easy to pack, it's a bit

. a little more, but it depends on the camp. I don't have to walk much here. I'm pretty prepared. I have some decisions to make, although it looks very bright in that sky because there is a storm brewing.

Well, I had some time. so I thought I'd go get my trail camera that's been here for the last week and a half, kinda, no, it's really dirty, like something's been sniffing around it, but I'll check out the footage in hopes of getting the badges. again. I got them the first time in this Woodland and then I haven't done them since, but I will sprinkle any footage throughout this video if I do now, my decision to take hinges on there not being a storm yet, now my plan was use this stove, just cut a little. wood to break it up, break it down and use it for the night before, it would be right under this top all night.

I'll need some for the morning if it rains well, that's all the wood prep to keep me going tonight and enough to keep some bugs away and hopefully for the morning too if it's all wet, um yeah, I just need to put everything under the um. Tarp here now that's by that tree, there, bag, and it was pretty sunny again and we're supposed to be right in the middle of a thunderstorm right now, so I don't care if they'll delay it because of the storm until the evening.

That's fine, but I don't want it to overlook us because that's why I went out to enjoy the storm. I remembered that I'm on a slight slope here, so I'll have to dig a little where my feet are. and uh, level it out a bit, it got pretty dark and the windsteiner picks up, we can hear it in the trees, I wonder if this could be it. I have some pita breads that I'm going to cut in half now I might have to turn on the stove before doing this stage because they can be a little difficult to separate when they're cold, we'll see how it goes, it just pops. in the microwave at home, in fact, I think it's okay, yeah, not bad, so now that I have a pocket I'm going to put in some of the meat mixture. By the way, I've never done this before.
