NEW Bloom Pour Like YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN!! Acrylic Pouring for Beginners

Mar 26, 2024
what's going on guys, welcome back to the channel, another video today. I painted a triptych that is using the colors cerulean blue prism violet cadmium yellow light tone and a cadmium red dpu and I was going to try

pour

ing a clear varnish over it and then do that. a flower, so create the straps and laces with just transparent and then it will be overlaid on the canvas. It's something I've

never

thought about doing before. I

have

never

tried it. I really think it's going to work. I

have

done slides, but. I haven't done the punch technique so that's what we're going to do in this video so I mixed up some of the clear medium using one part Elmer's clear glue with two parts Loft artist

pour

ing medium and that's what we are going to do.

What I use the most is our pillow to put out the flowers. I'm also not going to wear my hat today because I've noticed that my hat gets in the way a lot when I put my head on the canvas. I think thats enough. I am hopeful that it will be enough. We have some bubbles. A problem with this poor medium. I have noticed that due to the thickness of the glue it tends to form tons of bubbles. So this is my black cell activator. You haven't

seen

the video where I showed you how to mix it, it's just water and

acrylic

ink, but I'll try to put a card in so you can see which one I'm talking about here.

Now for the fun part, I pick it up and blow on it, you may not be able to see it as well, but that's okay, foreigner. I think those cells are going to be all twisted, so we have the cells. I'm going to leave that because it's so thick that it pulls towards the center, I just don't want to spread it out and then converge on itself. We've got some really great petals so far, the cord hasn't broken which is amazing, it means we're getting close. and closer to the correct amount of gluing medium I see a bubble that I don't want to pass through all those cells.

I don't know if it will distort it. I figure everything would be fine, so let's spin. This one we also have two more to do. I'm excited about these. I spin it a little hard, almost necessary. Oh wow, look at that, I'm already imagining it and you can see, okay, this loop right here. where the cord was wrapped underneath while being spun, so that will be a very interesting look. Same here it's black, so that just means maybe a little more than half a pour, but I still love it. I wouldn't change anything about it and now I need to set up a little drying area for these okay so the first Bloom is out let's do a second one now.

I realized that last time maybe I didn't have enough middle, so it slid down and this is the centerpiece. I want to try to avoid that, if I can, if we need to mix a little bit more, so go ahead and eliminate some of these bubbles so that the thick and being so thick, it also takes a little while to dry. maybe two or three days for the cell activator to dry completely. I think we have a lot of things to do abroad. Now we shouldn't have anything rolling under this center piece at least and then we'll pick it up and do our punch.
I love it. which just like the pure flower petals, I think we could roll down a little bit here too just because this is closer to the edge maybe it's a good reset a little bit. I'm not going to do too much, though okay, let's spin this one. outside, that was a great twist guys, maybe too hard, oh wow, but I like that one that's getting awesome too. I love how these will continue to open up and you'll see those colors underneath a beautiful drying area. and at the end of this I'm pretty sure I'm going to make some kind of ornament.
I have a couple ideas floating around in my head about what I want it to really look like but I won't know until they're dry but I'm excited about them because it's just that I don't know something unknown, something new and I haven't tried it yet and made it. New things like this always get me really excited, so we were running around a bit. I'm missing the middle, so I had to mix a little more. Luckily it's a pretty cheap medium, so unfortunately this one had even less time to set, so there are even more bubbles.
I figure I could probably use a blowtorch to try to pop it. these and it could be faster, the only thing I'm worried about is that I would put my skin on this glue because I don't have as much experience with it as other things, so for now we're going to play it safe until I understand what my limitations are for these things and once you do a lot better with certain things, okay, let's put the trusty cell activator in there, we'll probably end up putting about six drops overseas, these are little six by six canvases and now it's the pot, there's a big old bubble right in the middle, dagnabbit, you broke my cells in the center, yeah, okay, so let's let it go back to the center like a typical Bloom 4, the medium for that is almost as thick as this one In fact. and the saw trigger is so thin that I'm probably blowing too much at a downward angle.
I need to blow more to one side, but it's been a while since I made flowers, so I'm getting back into the swing of things. Okay, there you go guys, there was a lot less force on this one, but yeah, I'm looking to the side right now looking at those other flowers, the cells have completely opened. There are still a couple of sections that will open, but they are impressive. I'm going to give you a few moments for the cells to open completely as much as they're going to open and then I'm going to bring them down and show you the wet version and right after that will be the dry one. version I'm really excited to see what this will look like right now, the cells on these have opened up almost as much as they should and I had to go through and pop the bubbles, you can see if I'm looking at the glow, there are still some holes that need to be leveled out on their own a little bit, but I'm really excited about what this will look like when they're dried because it's like a flower.
