uh a special thanks to carlos for joining us from montreal with this new gt500 if you don't remember carlos he owned the rau she sold the roush and bought a gt500 and i was very close to buying one and now i actually want one um this thing is a beast it's beyond what I could imagine and at first I thought it would just be a more powerful standard mustang etc this is just above that and in my opinion Ford has done it well, Shelby in this case has done a crazy job with this thing, it's a beast, the way it sounds, the way it drives is very different than any mustang, but still today we're going to do a

race

acceleration between the two,

hellcat

versus gt500 in a quarter mile test of a

dig and we'll find out which is faster.

It's faster than that. That's what we'll find out, so let's talk about the specifications first. The Hellcat uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8. It makes 717 brake horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque and uses an 8-speed automatic transmission. It's rear-wheel drive, but weighs 436 pounds. The Shelby, on the other hand, supercharged v8 makes 760 brake horsepower, much more than the hellcat has and has 625 less torque than the hellcat, but uses a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission compared to The Hellcat which

only

uses an automatic transmission, is rear wheel drive of course, and weighs well, it is not. as heavy as the hellcat it's 4171 pounds so it's about 200 something lighter so it has less horsepower but it's lighter but i know you're probably thinking well sam it doesn't make any sense Well, that's what we had.

That's what we have in this. Period uh we're going to find out how these two stack up and a quarter mile test that we'll do from a dig first and from a turn, but I have to say music to my ears music to my ears. I love this thing. so let's

I had a horrible lunch. i had a horrible lunch horrible lunch ah 215. this thing is crazy i couldn't start it so i let the owner do it um because i just couldn't get it to start properties i said carlos you drive it i have to admit things when i can't do it , basically to me it's crazy, it's hard to start it because it's not a prepared area, if it was a prepared area there, you will be different, but this is ridiculous, it's just mind-blowing. that's how good it is and it's so stable after you launch it it puts the car back into the thing so it's really not that hard so that's crazy to me that's crazy how this thing handles uh especially the things they go to carlos and again like he couldn't get it to launch so he did and the most important thing is it's ridiculous how good this is and it's so loud that was it guys I hope you enjoyed it. thing won, of course, as expected, greetings.
