Fall DIY Crafts For Home Decor Using Dollar Tree Leaves

Today I have for you some exciting

dollar

tree

crafts

that you will love. Today's trip to the

dollar

tree

is a quick one, I'm just going to grab a few selections of the maple

leaves

they currently have, now that they're vibrant, they're beautiful, and I love them. I'm also going to grab one of these wooden planks. You can find them in the craft section and they have a larger one and a smaller one. I'm going to grab one of these bigger ones. I recently watched a video about my friend Catherine It's a perfect place to start and she made a gnome for

fall

using

some, I think they were faux leather

leaves

and I thought I'd take these beautiful maple leaves and create my own, but I'm going to have. channel linked below in the description box if you want to see it, so I'm going to take the leaves and from this I'm going to make the beard for the gnome and I'm just going to start gluing with hot glue.

I'm going to start with something wider at the top and then make it more of a cone towards the bottom and fill it in here and there where I need it and I'm trying to stagger the colors so that they're not all yellow in one area or red in one area trying to keep it nice and staggered now that I have the leaves where I want them, I'm going to take one of these foam balls, they come four in a pack and I'm going to take one of them and I'm going to use it as my nose.

I'm going to flatten one of these sides like that. It will be nice and flat to stick with hot glue. I'm going to take this leftover fabric from one of those little ones. dollar tree fabric bundles and I'm going to wrap it, glue it with the hot glue gun and then I'm just going to glue it to the center and the top of the leaves and then of course we needed something. like a hat, so the only thing I could think of was that the drop of fabric has this very textured texture and it's very neutral and because the beard is so colorful, I wanted to keep the hat very neutral.

I folded the bottom and I'm just going to hot glue it on each side of the nose, overlapping it a little bit and then I'm going to turn it over and I'm just going to cut off the excess drop cloth and then I'm not going to hot glue it on. instead, I'm going to flip it the other way again and I'm just going to make a kind of cone that looks like a Santa hat and I'm just going to hot glue it on. so it's a little pointy and then I'm going to fold it in a way that it looks like it's dripping to the side and then I added this little pineapple right at the end just to add a little bit more texture and

ation.

I added a couple extra maple leaves to the side of the nose just to make it a little fuller and then I'm going to add this little leftover juice thread or ribbon to the back that way we can hang it up. From there and to finish, I'm going to add these little brown berries from the dollar tree. They come in a little package and I think this little gnome turned out so cute. I love how it turned out. It's the first one I know from scratch. and I must say I'm very proud of it, but let me know what you think.

This next dollar tree craft is so easy. I'm going to take this book that I saved a long time ago and I'm going to copy six. pages I have been tearing out of this book for a long time and it still continues. I'm going to make six pages because we're going to make three sets of two and we're going to trim the edges just a little bit. a little bit to make them a little bit thinner and then I'll take a glued stick and we'll just glue two of them together to make three sets again. Now I'm going to fold one end to about an inch and a half and I'm going to use the first one as a guide to make sure all three are folded the same size and now I'm going to cut the bottom of the pages in a V shape and this It's going to give me the style of a banner because that's what we're creating today.

I actually saw one online that was very similar and thought I can make this with dollar tree items and how fun would it be to make for this

fall

season. so again I use the first one as a guide and now I'm going to cut all three and keeping with the theme of the leaves, I'm going to cut three leaves from this pick and then we're going to hot glue one. In front of each page I grab a little bit of this lace ribbon from Dollar Tree and once I had the length I wanted, I folded it in half and made sure to mark with my finger and then I'll use that blue line on my mat.

As a guide to where the center of the tape is, I will take one of the pages and place it just inside the fold of the page, then I will hot glue it in place and do the same with the other two leaving six inches between each page. We can look back someday and now I'm going to grab this fabric I bought at Walmart. I mean it was two years ago and I'm just going to cut a strip about two inches thick and then cut them into 10 inches long. I'm going to need four because we're going to tie them between each page and at the end of each one and we're on the page of finishing this one what an easy craft what an easy DIY anyone can do you can totally do this one just find a few pages and not even It doesn't even have to be pages, it could be anything you want, easy, festive and I love how it looks on my mantel.

I was so excited it's actually a really good size. I removed the fake candle because it didn't work, it was rusty. I even put in new batteries. It just doesn't work, I also removed the glass from all three panels. I just don't like having glass in my house for my

decor

and this is really glass so I just took them off, gave everything a good scrub and then spray painted it.

Rust-oleum matte white paint. A couple of coats is all I needed. I just wanted to make sure it was completely covered, but also not perfect because I wanted it to have a little worn look once it was dry. I brought it inside and now I'm just going to add a little rusty look to it. I'm going to add and take wax with Waverly. I'm going to start adding it on similar edges anywhere there's metal and metal. they are located where it just makes it look like it's rusted up to the ears and now I'm going to put up these fake candles that I bought on Amazon about a year ago.

I love them, they are so versatile, of course, they are very safe. They run on batteries and come with a remote control and I have them in my Amazon store which, by the way, my Amazon store is always linked below in the description box, if you want to see some of my favorite items again, it is linked. below, okay, now I'm going to place some of these maple leaves around the candles, as well as a couple of pigs that have the same style of maple leaves, just to keep it simple, easy and very festive, and that's it. one, I immediately placed it on my console table, I love how it looks, it's so bright and airy, and I love those full candles and the leaves, just adds those beautiful fall colors, if you like

I'm going to grab this starter round that I got on Amazon. a package of about 10 or 12 of them, this one I started making a craft with my kids and it didn't work but I kept it because I'm not going to throw it away so we're only going to paint the side that has the drawing and that way the other side remains nice and clean. I'm going to give it two coats of Waverly chalk paint in white and then I'm going to sand it very lightly just to smooth it out and of course, I'm going to clean it very, very well because we're going to modify a decal on it.

This is one of those window clings that you can find at Dollar Tree. They currently have many designs and I have used them several times for

crafts

. to modify it right in the center, this is mod podge, it's a matte finish which I prefer, but you can use whatever you have on hand. I'm going to remove the thank you part of the sticker and place it right in the center very carefully. and taking your time, once I've gotten all the bubbles out, I'm going to add a little bit more on the ends right where I missed a little bit of the mod podge that way, everything will be nice and safe once I have it, I'm going to seal. all with mod podge just to make it weather sealed.

Then I'll start adding some of those maple leaves. I'll dry them first before hot gluing them together like that. I know exactly where I want them. I want this round wood. It's not only going to be very festive but almost like these leaves are falling off the trees, so I'm going to place them here and there and then hot glue them into place. I'm going to add a Bow to the top of this wooden round and I'm going to take this dollar tree ribbon. I think it goes perfectly with today's topic. I'm going to make a very simple bun.

This is all I have left, so I'm going to make it work because the tape is only one side, I'm going to rotate it in the center every time I'm in the center, that way the design is all on the outside, Then I'm going to tie it in the center with the same ribbon. that I used before, the dollar tree lace one, now that I have the bowl made, it's time to fluff it up a little. Make sure you fluff it the way I want because the tape is wired, it's very easy to manipulate.
