gingerbread

themed stuff was wiped off the shelf. I looked online and they were almost sold out. I even went to Hobby Lobby and picked up a couple of pieces and the guy forgot to put them inside my bag so I was disappointed but I also love creating things so I might as well show you how I created a couple of things so I hope Enjoy and I hope to give you some inspiration, please don't forget to hit the like, share and subscribe button.

If you like what you see now, sit back and relax crafting with me, let's get started. Well, I have this wooden circle shape from Dollar Tree, obviously, I'm going to cut the rope and I'm going to fill the hole. with a little putty and just sand it. I'm going to paint it this color because at first I couldn't find any of my paints so I mixed a little bit of brown and a little bit of red just to give it more of a gingerbread color and painted. everything and I let it dry well, so now I wanted to play Picasso and I decided to draw a gingerbread face, so basically I'm just drawing, I'll draw the eyes, the nose, the mouth and at the beginning when I dry it like I did the same when i diyed the face of the man in the moon when you first draw it before painting it it doesn't really look like much but once you paint it it shows. pretty good, so I basically did that, remember you don't have to draw it.

I'm just trying to be a little more confident when drawing and painting. You can always print it with your Cricut because I know they have SVG files or you can trace them. It's using foreign graphite paper, it's so cute, so now I have this ribbon and I made a bow with it. I think I picked up this ribbon from Walmart last year and made one of my little bows that I'm not sure I would make. camera, but that was it, she is so cute, let me know what you think, okay next time. I have these pieces of wood that came from one of those Dollar Tree fence pieces and I had used them on a different project.

I broke a couple of them and these are the ones I had left over so I'm going to paint one in Apple Barrel Caramel Apple Barrel Ivy Green Apple Barrel Caramel Apple and then Numb Nutmeg Apple Barrel Brown I paint them and I let them dry and then I printed these decals on my Cricut and I'm just going to transfer them to each piece. I point the arrows in different directions because we're going to make like a little pole sign and I didn't do that. I want all the arrows to face one direction, like it's a pole sign, s

tree

t sign, uh, direction layout or whatever, so I'm going to take not a doll, but a screw stick from Dollar Tree, You know, like the roasted marshmallow screw. sticks and then I take a dowel cap and like this little block of wood that I had in my craft pile and a piece of fabric from Dollar Tree, so basically I'm going to put some hot glue on there and then I'm going to use a trowel. stick to smooth it out because this is fabric and I'm going to wrap the screw stick with the foreign fabric so that we have that part down we take our little dowel cap and we're going to dye it using a little bit of Waverly wax and I also dyed the little piece of block wood, it now has a glossy finish, so I go over it with Waverly wax twice.

You could use anything for the base. You could use rotating tower blocks. That's what I was going to use at first. only match a couple, so remember to use what you have, don't go out and buy things honestly, just use what you have. I use it a lot lately. I've been using a lot of what I have because I have too much and I need to use it now, what I'm doing here is just putting the little top part of the doll on the top of the screw and I was surprised that it fit perfect, it was like a perfect fit, now I'm going to make a little messy with my hot glue like I always do to attach it to the base and you just know I put a little bit of hot glue like extra hot glue around it so hold it down and just hold it in place for a while now , once I have my little survey set up, I take all my little sign pieces and I just add a little bit of hot glue in the middle and start putting them together and don't put them all on.
Of course, I put them in different directions just so it could be seen. I don't know, I just like the way it looks. Now you can go in little different directions. I wanted to have a little bit of a snowy scene, so I grabbed my clear craft glue and then I have this mixture of my full snow, so it's basically Epsom salt and like the full snow from Dollar Tree because they give it that little sparkle feel, so I cover the base and then I start. to cover like signs like arrows and I don't cover them all the same way with fake snow.
I cover where I think the snow would fall and that's it for this one, guys I love the way it came. Okay guys, so I have two packages of styrofoam rounds, yes, both packages, so that's four in total and I'm going to take all four and I'm going to stack one on top of the other because We're going to make a little cake of imitation gingerbread, so as we know, things from Dollar Tree don't always have the best symmetry. I don't know if I mean whatever, but basically one of them was actually smaller than the other, so I pushed. that one in front just to make it look a little bit more even now here we go with Spackle, this is the Dollar Tree spec of course, so I'm adding my paint in my water just to make it a little bit softer. and basically softer and a little bit whiter because this one tends to dry like gray, so I take a popsicle stick and I'm just going to cover the sides on the top using our putty.
I try to make it as smooth as possible. as smooth as I can, I don't make it perfect, but that's what crafting is all about, it's those perfect, imperfect, perfections and honestly, let's be real. I'm not Betty Crocker, so I can't make a real cake like this mind you. I'm not going to make a whole cheesy looking cake, but I do my best and my kids love how this one turned out, so I'm happy with it. Well, I bought these as a little Christmas

tree

. I'll use them as sprinkles they're like little Christmas trees like little ornaments and I bought them at Hobby Lobby now.
I don't always have the opportunity to go to Hobby Lobby because the closest Hobby Lobby to me is almost an hour away and when I went to this one this time it was like the worst experience of my life, like something fell in the hallway in the I was, it wasn't me, but it had fallen and almost fell on top of me and the baby and then when I was so disappointed because I had bought a gingerbread garland and a couple of other little things that I don't know what happened, but the guy forgot to give it to me, so I was super super upset and I called again and they said, you know, let's go into the store or whatever. but I wasn't going to drive there again and I was just going to order it online and when I found out the things I wanted were out of stock online so that's a shame it is what it is though I love Hobby Lobby oh I don't know anyway so these are all just fake clay sprinkles that I honestly made using Dollar Tree clay and I'm doing it like this because I had to stop because the baby needed me and my cake got a little dry so I had to put a little bit of Mod Podge on that little ponytail Pokey tool and then put the sprinkles on it and now these little circular things that are supposed to be like chocolate chip things, I added them. and then I took a crayon and I liked my little Shredder and I wanted it to look like some kind of chocolate ganache frosting, so I crushed up the crayon and put it on the fake cake too and everything I had. left over from not grinding.
I took the crayon and cut it into pieces to look like chocolate chunks, so that's it. I'm going to add the shredded pieces and the pieces throughout the cake, okay? I know I have some little fake peppermint sprinkles in my sash, where they are for dear life. I can't find them so I took whatever white and red clay I had and just shook it up to make it. They look like little mints, they don't look exactly like little mints but it does the job and I just put some on the top of the cake and then some on the sides of the cake to surround the cake as well. a little piece of stem with the white and the red like ball piglets, um, that was actually an item that came inside my bag at Dollar Tree, so I was excited about that and then once I made it, I had this piece of half a ball.
I had to use the other half on a mini topper from a previous project I made, so I had this half left over, so I glued it right in the middle of the top because I wanted to give this cake a little height. now I'm just going to add my putty around it and once I add my putty I'm basically going to take the same ingredients that I use in the cake and put them all over the top of the putty as well. foreigner I wanted a cute little ornament so I had this little clay gingerbread ornament from Hobby Lobby and I just placed them right on top.
Now I had, like I said, some pieces of white and red clay left over, so I took the strips that I had left and I pretend I made some fake peppermint sticks and some fake candy canes like I'm saying they're not perfect and I just made them. I stuck behind my gingerbread man and that was it for this one, guys I'm in love with this shape. It came out and my kids love it too so that's what matters and that's what counts if you guys recreate something like this remember you can use any color you have get creative have fun so I have these forks knives and spoons . and these are from the 4th of July and I just received the spoons and took the remaining froth from the cake and just put Spackle on all the spoons.
Now I wanted to give this background a little bit of a sparkly look, so I have this Easter glitter and I'm using the white and I'm just going to add a little bit of that glitter right on top of the putty. Now I want everything to flow together, so I'm taking those Christmas trees as little fake ones. I'm using imitation sprinkles and I'm also using the green ones and I'm going to put them on top of all the putty on our spoons. I didn't want to press them hard on these spoons. so the Spackle likes to squish so one trick I learned was to take some spray hairspray and I sprayed it on the Spackle and then I just placed, you know, the little fake sprinkles in there and I'm putting some in there as well. of the red and white clay together to look like some mint balls and I made some fake clay men and this is the clay from all of this is from Dollar Tree that I actually had for a while.
I made some clay gingerbread. men and I glued them all on the spoon and I also glued some fake candy canes on the spoons. Now of course I want a little more embellishment so I have this ribbon from Dollar Tree and I made some little bows and glued them on tight. on the spoons and that's it for this guys this one is very easy to create and very inexpensive honestly if you paid 25 bucks just to get the frame but I already had it in my stash so this one was completely free so that this is the frame from Dollar Tree and it's like a piece of pottery inside the frame and the frame looks like one but it's not real wood it has a glossy finish so I painted the pottery piece with two coats of white chalk. paint and then I took the frame and I painted it with two coats, actually three coats of Apple Barrel candy apple paint, okay, so I have my pieces dry, so this little ceramic piece that comes out like it comes out on its own, like this that I'm I'm just going to give it a little bit more, you know, like hold it, hold it there a little bit more.
I'm just going to take my hot glue running down the inside of the rim and just place that little piece of ceramic right inside. Once they were done, I printed these decals using my Cricut and simply transferred them to write on. I simply transferred them directly to our little ceramic frame piece. Now remember that if you don't have a Cricut, you can use stencil stickers. you know, graphite paper, like I said, you can write it by hand or just print it directly from a printer and you know, put them on there. I have a Cricut, it's not one of the newer newer crickets, I just have a little.
I'm getting a little more used to it, so I try to use it as much as I can. Now I have these wooden gingerbread pieces from Dollar Tree and I saved them some torture. You see me paint it and I just cut it right. No, in the middle, I'll go up the middle and I'm just going to glue the points. Sorry, paint the dots. um where you can see where I cut it and then I'm going to stick it right on my sign and that's it. It's for this one, guys, now this one you can put on a shelf or in a tear tray.
I'm definitely going to put this one on my tear tray. I love the way it turned out. Okay guys, this next one is really quick, honestly. if you blink you'll miss it so I have two Jenga blocks he has tile blocks I picked out from Goodwill they are not tower blocksrotating tower blocks you could use rotating tower blocks, but I have rattle blocks that I bought for only a

dollar

at Goodwill, so I'm going to paint one with the pink candy apple red from the Apple Barrel and I'm going to paint one in the white color, so the double barrel paints you just have to give them a couple of coats just to get them right, you know, that good solid color now, once I dried them, I know you're probably thinking white in the way you can't even see it, but I'm actually I'm using this as a template, my red now says sugar and my white says spices, so I'm going to transfer them there and once I transfer them there I'm going to paint my little white block red and our red.
White Jingle Block, so basically vice versa. I'm going to reverse it and paint them opposite colors. Okay, now I'm going to start removing our vinyl stencil and see how it reveals itself. I love how it looks and I love it. It's got like those opposite colors now, could you honestly? Could you know how to make the vinyl and, you know, transfer the words instead of doing it like this? I love how it looks and how wonderful this project is that you don't need it. on Cricut, you can honestly use Dollar Tree stickers to create this project and that's it for this one.
I told you it was very quick and easy, so we're going to stay on the Jenga blocks track and this time Grab six of them, I'm going to take two of them and I'm going to paint two of them in candy apple red, then I'm going to take two of them and I will paint them white and then two of them and I will paint them the tan color of folk art now once I let them dry I will join the two reds together the two tans together and the two whites together now I will stack one on top of the other I'm going to take the red and I'm going to put the white on top of the red and then I'm going to put the tan on top of the white and if you don't know by now, we're making a little stack of mini books okay so I transferred on fresh baked gingerbread using my Cricut, the fresh and gingerbread is blank and the baked is black and I just transfer them.
I'm just removing the little bits now, once I'm done doing that I'm going to take My Puffy Paint or Fabric Paint from Dollar Tree and I'm going to drip it so it looks like frosting going down the top of the front of the books. Now you'll see me doing this and I'm going to embellish it. and I'm just going to embellish it a little bit on the front once I've completed it. I was like I just stared at it and decided to do the whole top of the stack of books, as you see I added my glitter.
I'm adding my little fake sprinkles and I thought that was perfectly fine as at the beginning, but I said staring for a moment and said no, I really want to do everything everything, so I grab my little fabric paint. I know why I said little, but my little fabric paint again and I'm basically going to put it on top of my little stack of fake books. Now I was running out of puffy paint so I made some scribbled lines and then I took my little Pokey tool and used it very lightly just to spread it like frosting and repeat the process.
I add the glitter, my little faux sprinkles and then I add this little clay gingerbread manna, like I said I made them from Dollar Tree. clay and I've been having that Christmas tree like it's sitting on my little twisted Serenity side and it's decorated like a little fake gingerbread Christmas tree so I decided to add it on top too and it turned out so stinky and cute I love the way this came out guys, I promise we're getting to the end. I have this little roller where I got it from. I have no idea, but it's in my stash.
Now this is another simple one. I take it. and I'm going to paint the middle with Apple Barrel candy apple, which is the color that I've been using throughout this video and then I'm going to dye the ends with water. I'm going to repeat. it was thinned with Waverly wax now I printed this on my Cricut and it just says gingerbread and honestly I looked up a gingerbread font and on font.com and I downloaded this one and transferred it right to my little rolling pin and on Which I love those fonts are free yeah I don't have to pay for them and I love the way this font looks so that's fine so once I transferred it I grabbed one of those little clay pieces I made. using the Dollar Tree clay and I just glued it right on the little rolling pin and then my little gingerbread man I found was too simple so I had one of those little swirl Pops that I glued on the gingerbread man and I found it very cute, well for this one I'm starting with a piece of postal cardboard and then I'm going to take this cylindrical shape that I have because I'm telling you to draw shapes. horrible, so I'm just using this as a template and I'm just going to trace it and then I'm just going to trim it and just try to roll it like a cone and that basically has a comb. like a Christmas tree, but we're rolling it into a cone shape as much as I can and I'm trying to aim a little bit towards the top, obviously poster paper, cardstock is rougher than cardstock, this could be a little bit easier than Make it with cardstock, okay, so once the cone is formed, I take this sheet of cork and I pulled out the same shape, so I'm basically going to go over it now.
I'm going to cover the cone with this sheet of cork. This cork sheet has an adhesive. I didn't peel it all at once, I peeled about half and then rolled it and then continued peeling it while slowly rolling it. I don't know, the cork sheet is like a gingerbread cookie to me. kind of texture so I wanted to give it more of a gingerbread feel so I took some mod podge and lightly brushed the cork sheet and then added a little bit of glitter on top just to give it that shiny feel like I said , like that cookie feeling.
I didn't want it to look too boring, so I took my puffy paint from Dollar Tree once the Mod Podge was dry and started making little wavy lines just to make it look like frosting, so I do that around the bottom, you know. the whole tree and I'm still going up if you guys have made it this far in the video and you like what you've been seeing, take a second to subscribe to my channel if you haven't if you've subscribed to my channel. I just want you to know that I thank you and I really appreciate you, so remember to hit the like button and comment your favorite below so far.
Okay guys, I grabbed my glitter and I just want to make my frosting look a little sweeter. like or my frosting should I say so I'm shaking my glitter and I didn't realize that it has like the little one the little hole where it comes out a little bit in the big one the big one like I guess it was in the purple one and I took the corner so it started to rain but I like the different shades of all the different colors that look more, you know, the Candyland type felt, so I left it as it was, so I couldn't, I said I couldn't.
I found a bunch of my Christmas stuff or paints and things like that around the world I found my red puffy paint so I grabbed this little stippling tool and I made some little red polka dots and then I took my puffy paint again and I made some little white polka dots and then I topped it off with a peppermint candy that I made is basically clay and then I painted like the swirls and that was it for this one guys, well we're on to the last one. Those of you who love teardrop decorating will love this one my take so I'm starting with popsicle sticks there's no random count but at first I'm starting with four so for them.
I'm going to take it and I'm basically going to cut the tip off one end of each of them, so I'm grabbing two of them and I'm basically grabbing the end pieces that we cut off and I'm just putting a little bit of glue on and I'm going to put those together. two, trust me, we're going to use a little more reinforcement to hold it together, as you can see, I'm going to cut a little piece off and basically glue it together. place the piece directly on the parts where we had cut just to give it more reinforcement, so we're going to do that on the other side as well.
We're going to make a little mini ladder for a tiered tree, so we basically joined the ends together and then cut a little piece off and glued it on top so we can basically reinforce the part that we had cut off. Now I'm just grabbing more popsicle sticks and I'm going to measure how wide I want my ladder and I'm going to cut out five pieces and those will basically be the steps of my little mini ladder. Now I'm just taking the five pieces of my ladder and I'm going to start attaching two of them as the steps that Sorry, I'm going to start attaching them to the side pieces of the ladder, you can see what I'm doing.
I started with the middle because it gives them, since we put those little back pieces on for added reinforcement, it gives them a little bump of height right in the middle, so I started with the middle just to reinforce there. I did two at the bottom and then two at the top. I didn't measure it completely. I basically just looked at it like I said. I'm not really a measuring person, if you want to measure, if it bothers you, go ahead and do it, so once I had my little steps, I took my white chalk paint and painted my entire little staircase.
Now I basically wanted to cover, you know? like the spaces where the steps of the staircase are, so I had this twine and I'm going to make little wood that I already painted a little mini wreath that I made and I have these two little pieces of fabric, one with red and white stripes, one was from Dollar Tree and then the hot chocolate one was from Walmart, so I cut little strips. because I wanted them to look like little blankets so I took the two little strips of fabric and threw them right on top of a step and made Fringe, one of my subscribers told me because it said Fringe, he's frayed, I don't do it.
I don't know why it said Fringe. I Fray made this fabric, basically, I just ripped the end pieces off and took them out and then placed my little mini wreath on top of the ladder and then placed each of the gingerbread men. a woman and a man take each side of the ladder and I love the way this turned out, it's so Christmassy and I could even change the fabrics if I'm going to change the theme of my tier tray or anything I like, let me know what you think of these pieces foreign foreign foreign without breaking the bank and I want to thank everyone for watching and please share, subscribe and comment below and as I always say this world may take twists and turns but always make good choices for next time , guys.
