dresses I feel like this time of year is very popular for weddings and homecoming is coming up. I personally have forgotten how to prepare for them. What do I wear? How do I style my

hair

? I put on make up? I thought it would be fun to get

ready

and show you some dresses that would be good for some formal events.

Let's go ahead and get into the fitting, so the first one is this one, it's like this black strapless, fitted dress and it has a ruched detail on the side. I'll show you a Try It On so you can see it better. It's like a shorter style fitted dress. It would be so cute with lots of accessories. Lulu has so many cute shoes and accessories on her site so definitely check them out so I was editing and I just realized I totally forgot to show you the accessories I bought so I bought these earrings. They are so cute, they are like these simple but also striking little gold earrings.

I feel like these would be good for any occasion. these are the complete opposite and it is these earrings that look like this. I thought they were really fun and unique. I love the shape and the colors. I think they're really fun and then I also picked up this little bracelet. This is so cute again, you could wear it to so many different formal events. It's such a good classic. I'll also link it below and then the last accessory is this type of clutch bag. I think this is a good essential as well, you'll definitely want some kind of bag just to hold your phone, wallet and keys, all your other essentials and everything, and this one looks really stylish and also has a lot of storage space as well you unzip it here. and then it has a little front zipper, there's a zipper pocket inside up here, you have all the space too, there's a lot of storage in this bag, I love this and then it has a long strap you could just wear this on one shoulder or You could probably wear this crossbody bag too.

I think that's it for the accessories, so now I'll get back to the walkthrough. It's so cute, I feel like the ruched style is very trendy and this definitely looks great. like a good little black dress. Next I have another black dress and this might be my favorite of all the dresses, but I also feel like they are all my favorites. They are all so cute and different. I love this one. although if you watch my tours and videos often you'll know that this is totally my style, so it's this turtleneck. I love high neck tank tops and like this cut, I also feel like it's very trendy right now. something like a low back, it's low enough that it has some class without being too high quality, like a comfortable material.

I really feel like you can't go wrong with this, it has a nice little opening, I think this would be very flattering to anyone who follows this one is also my favorite when I tried them all. This one definitely stood out to me and it's this one right here. This one is so pretty, it's like the perfect champagne shade, it's so bright. one also has a little ruching detail which you know I love. If you see any of my

s, I feel like this is super flattering because you can scrunch it up to hide any problem areas that I definitely don't have.

I have a flat stomach and can scrunch it up around my stomach area to hide anything I'm not quite sure about. I also feel like the neckline is super flattering. It's like the perfect V neckline. I think this color would also look good all year round, like for any occasion, it's so cute, I love the fit of this one, next up is this mob dress, so this one is super cute too, I think it would be nice if would you like a wedding or something like that. It's kind of like a dressy, dressy event, so it looks like this, it's definitely like a V-neck.

It has adjustable straps. I think most of these I love the adjustable straps. This is a very comfortable and soft fabric, super super soft and then the bottom is like a really unique fitted short dress and then there is a longer, draped side. I think it's really pretty and unique. This one definitely has a very stylish look. I love it. I think it comes in a couple of others too. I love the following colors. I think if I were going to homecoming this would probably be my pick or the little gold. It's this little sparkly pink one-shoulder dress, so it's got sequins and velvet like sequins on velvet, which is really pretty.

The combination is a little shorter and somewhat bodycon. I feel like the shoulder is definitely in style right now. I am very fashionable, I love the shoulder and I love the details of the fabric. Next up is this one, it's actually quite similar and it's this lime green sequin dress so it's like little sequins so this one also has an adjustable strap like I said I think everyone does it again just very trendy. I feel like this lime green color is also very trendy right now, as well as the previous one. shoulders, I love this, I think this would also be really cute for homecoming or some kind of cocktail party or something super fun and cute, I'm sure on the Lulu website the model paired it with some matching green heels and it was so cute so if you are going to buy this dress I think some matching green heels would be so cute you could definitely have fun accessorizing this one.

Next I have another one with sequins. I think this is the last one with sequins. It's really fun, plus this one fits really well, it's like a very soft lining on the inside, it's like a very comfortable fit, but being sequins, it's actually very soft on the inside, it actually has some padding and things here that you could probably use. on its own, I love the silver sequins on the back, this would also be really cute for some kind of party, maybe even as new years. I also think this would be cute for homecoming. Next is this dress, a high neck coral dress and me.

I think this is really nice. I also think when I was filming the test for this, the light was shining and it was starting to look like a sunset. Sorry if there are weird light marks on the dress. I think this one is super cute too. one also has a very comfortable soft lining inside. I think the style is very cute and modern, it has a sort of 70's vibe to it. I feel like this style would be good for a lot of different events as it's dressy enough that I could wear it to something.

formal, it's also fun and flirty that you can wear, it's like a cocktail party or a welcome party so I feel like this is definitely very versatile for different events, this would be a good staple especially when you get an invitation to something last . minute, this would be a good dress to have on hand because it is very versatile for different events.

Next is the super cute red dress, so it looks like this, a longer midi type of style. I think it would be really cute for a wedding like if you were a guest it also has a gold zipper which I think is a nice touch so you could have like gold earrings some really cute gold jewelry to go with that gold zipper to Put it all together, this style is just really good, it's also a very stretchy and comfortable material, so you would feel comfortable wearing it for a long period of time. I think the style is very classic and I love the neckline and then I have one

dress, this is the last one and it's this dress here, this one was a little big on me and, just like here, to make it look really good on you, you'll probably want to have a little fuller chest and maybe a size smaller, but it's a really cute style, I love the details on the back, it's also a really pretty color, I think the sage green is so cute, this is also It would look great for a spring wedding or even for fall, I honestly think this color looks good all year round, so this would look good if you are going to a wedding or any type of event, really a dress very cute and a very pretty color, so that's it for the tour.

I just wanted to show you a little test of some formal dresses, if you guys are going to experience it and want some ideas of some dresses to wear. Hopefully that gave you some ideas. and then I'm going to get dressed and put the whole look together. I also like to prepare a little before putting on. ready for any type of event, um, like nails, big tan, I'll do a little prep before I get ready and then I'll do my hair and

makeup

, so let's go ahead and get ready, starting with no makeup.

I didn't do anything with my hair. Actually, I just woke up. I'm going to start with my makeup and then do my hair. I know I look really bad right now, so I'm going to do some kind of glamorous makeup. I'm probably going to do the same foundation that I normally do, I like the same foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, blush and things that I normally do and then I'm going to do a little more eye glam than normal, so that's it my plan, I just thought I'd like to prepare a little before I start. I'm going to cut my hair back so I can have these little hair clips, they're actually from Glossier and I don't have them either. a mirror.

I'm going to use this as a mirror to get ready because I don't really have a table mirror. Normally I get rid of my bathroom, but the lighting in there is really bad, so I'm just like getting ready at my desk I'm going to start on my eyebrows. I'm using the Anastasia brow duo. It works very well. I've used it forever and for my eyebrows I like to just draw a line at the bottom and then. I just filled them in in an upward motion and completely forgot that I'm just going to put on a little bit of moisturizer, so this is the brightest balance of base moisturizer.

It's like a really light gel moisturizer that I'm just going to put on. something like this, I'm not going to put on foundation like I'm going to have super dry skin, okay, so those are my eyebrows done, I know they look a little crazy, but once I do my base and everything, I'll give them I'd like to tone it down a little. Next I'm going to use this primer. I love it. It really helps my makeup stay on all day. It's Laura Mercier's Pure Canvas Primer. I'm going to touch it with a brush because somehow it goes away. a bit like a residue on my hands.

I'm going to use foundation. I use Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I've used this one forever. It's like a nice natural finish. It also has good coverage. I would just use it. you like whatever your favorite foundation is so it doesn't cause a breakout, you usually don't like wearing foundation and only use it for a special event. I'd just like to make sure you try a few different shades so you can get the right combination, maybe try it a little in advance so you know it lasts all day and you like it. I also recommend cleaning your makeup brushes beforehand because I feel like makeup applies much better with clean makeup brushes.

It was like all my makeup brushes were dirty. I wanted to clean them before this video but I totally forgot that this one is actually clean but I feel like foundation especially applies much better with clean brushes and just because it's like a nice event doesn't mean you have to have a lot of foundation or makeup super heavy. I feel like with foundation you just want a nice even base, but it doesn't have to be super full coverage. You want to make sure it's nice and mixed. I don't want a baseline, so take it as the baselineyour jaw, make sure it's not too orange in tone, it's like a good tone.

Sometimes I take a photo with my phone like this and then make sure there is no line. or anything that is such an easy mistake to make. I've definitely been there so just make sure you have the right color and shade I think. Foundation is done, there are a few different concealers that I've been liking lately. I've been using this one, it's like a random one I bought during the Sephora sale, super brightening, it's actually pretty thick for today, I'm going to use this one. one because it's a little bit more coverage it's good for those dark circles I just put it under my eyes and then a little bit here I'm just going to blend it out I'm going to apply it all over my eyelid too so it brightened my under eyes so Now I'm going to use this outline.

I feel like everyone was excited about this. It's like a liquid contour that's just going to contour your cheekbones and your nose and give a little bit of definition to your face, this isn't really necessary, a nice extra step, so I'm just going to blend it in with this stippling type brush, so like you can see, it just gave my cheek a little bit of definition, there we go, so just Emphasize my cheekbones and nose a little bit, keep closing this after each step and then open it again now that all the similar liquid products are ready on the face I'm just going to set it with a little bit of powder which would just help it stay on all day if I left it like that it would just crease and melt especially with the heat right now so the powder will like it literally lock it in, help it stay all day I'm going to set it with a little bit of powder.

I really like this loose powder from Laura Mercier, so I'm just going to use a little bit of this. I'm just filling it in all over, although let's go with the little setting brush under my eyes first and it'll just help get some under my eyes. I did it without a mirror, so I hope I didn't miss any points. Now I'm just going to use a little bit of bronzer. My face doesn't really have any dimension. It just looks very colorless, I guess I don't know, so I'm going to use some bronzer to bring some life back to my face.

I'm going to use this hula bronzer with a fluffy brush and I'm going to apply this on my cheeks, also on my temples and a little bit on my nose. Sometimes I put it a little on my jawline and neck, so I think it looks good now. I'm going to use a little blush. I feel like the blush also adds a lot of life to add a nice color. I use this tart blush. I literally wear the same one like every day, so a nice kind of nude pink and I like it too. I apply just a little bit on my nose to get a sunkissed glow, although I applied too much now that it's all set, I'm just going to use a little bit of highlighter.

You have to have a good bright highlighter. I'm just going to use this one from Laura Mercier. I just use this little brush with the tip of my nose on the top of the bridge of my cheeks. I'm going to go back in and just touch up my eyebrows because I got so much. of powder and stuff like that now I'm just going to brush my brows with this brighter boy brow it's like a brow gel sets my brows in place it adds a little bit of texture to them I like to use the clear one and I just brush it on with an upward motion and then I brush them again once they dry I just go over them there are hairs that are coming out too I'm crazy now that the face is done I'm going to do my eyes that's where I really get creative.

I'm just going to zoom in guys, I hope this isn't too awkward or something. I really don't know exactly what I am. I'm still going to make it, but I only picked up a few palettes, so I have this palette that I wanted to use. I also have this one that I feel has everything I need. It's this morphe palette. I think this would be helpful too. For the final look, once that's done, I'm going to go with the coral dress that has a high neck, I think it would go for any occasion, we're going for a coral dress, so probably warmer tones for the eyes start, I'm just going to use some transition shades, I'll probably just start with this one, so this won't work.

I'm going to get a fluffier brush, so I'm going to use this brush, so I'm just continuing to build that color and blend it, I actually just used a slightly darker color from that same palette, but like a darker shade and I'm just putting it in the crease. the one I'm leaning towards. This shade here I think will look very pretty with that coral colored dress like the warm kind of golden tones on the eyes, so I'm going to use this one. I've never used them before. I'm going to use this brush. I already have makeup on, but it's like a light gold shade, so I think it will blend perfectly and I'll spray it with a little solution.

Also, I like to apply bright shades on the base, as if I applied them wet with some solution and it also helps them improve. Wow, you see I'll be back with this color. In fact, it's like a light gold color here. I'm going to put it in my inside corner to see how it lights up. the inner corner sometimes I also like to take a little bit of that on the brow bone. I don't know if this would be too much now that I think about it, it really depends if you're going for a wedding or something it might be a bit much, maybe do something like the color I did in my inner highlight, like me, like here, maybe Maybe do that on the basis and a little less dramatic, so it really depends on the event, I guess.

I'm going to take the same color that I used in my foundation and I'm just going to put a little bit of that on my lower lash line. I think this could look great with winged eyeliner, but I think I'm just going to play it safe and not use tinted eyeliner, I'm just going to use mascara. I'm definitely going to be applying false lashes, so I'm just going to apply a light coat of mascara just for a good base for the lashes. now I'm going to start with some false lashes my absolute favorite are the queen bee lashes let's use the duo lash glue I'm just going to put a thin layer of lash glue on them and apply them this is what they look like with the lashes and I'm going Finish it off with a little lipstick or some lip products.

Let me use this lip liner. I'm going to use this lipstick. It's by Giorgio Armani. I just received this in a pr package. I think this color will look good. That's what Looks like I think I'm going to go over it with this lip gloss. I like how it looks with the makeup and feel like it's a nice color combination that's already finished. I hope it's not too much, so let me know. What you guys think, I haven't done glam makeup in a while so I feel like I went a little crazy, obviously you can adjust it however you want for an occasion, that's how I would do my next hair makeup.

I'm not sure what I want to do yet, I'm just going to cut my hair in sections. I think I'm going to do something with loose waves because that's what I personally like the most, so I'll start by curling my hair. This curling wand, I think it's an inch or an inch and a quarter. I'm going to start by curling my hair so I just wrap the hair around the wand and hold it for a moment and then I let it out and I have this on the highest temperature which is really bad for your hair but I just keep it for a second and use protective.

I'm going to curl everything and get some pretty waves. I have some waves. from the day before, but they are as if they were falling. I forgot to say it, but I like to alternate directions. I'll go away from my head and then I'll go towards my head and I like to alternate directions so they don't do that. It doesn't look too uniform. I also like to leave a little space at the bottom. I'm just going to curl everything and honestly, I'm not a professional. I'm really not very good when it comes to hair. The bottom layer is all curled up, so.

I just took the top layer off the clip and now I'm going to curl this. I don't think I'm going to do a middle part because I think I want to do something like old Hollywood, like it's going to come at it. I'm going to change my stripe a little bit, I'm just going to go over the top, oh, this is not on. I'm going to do basically the same thing, so this is what my hair looks like once it's all curled, I think. I'm going to take a section here and just rotate it. I don't know, I literally don't know any good hairstyles and I tried to look up some but they are all super complicated and a girl. in her hair just with a clip back like this and I really like that these side parts are out so I don't know but I feel like for a formal event it would be nice, I don't think it would have any clips. one I have one, I think I can make it work and you can definitely get shiny little hair clips like lulu cells, a bunch of those that work, it's not the best thing out there but it's something that would probably be very easy to do like this .

It took me less than 15 minutes. You definitely want hairspray. I usually use the big sexy hairspray and it sets my hair pretty well without making it crunchy. Now that the hair is done, I'm going to dress in my Lulu's dress like me. I said I'm going to make the coral color with a turtleneck, then we can customize it and just put it all together, that dress is what it looks like, so I think it's so cute and versatile. I love this bright and fun color, especially for summer. I actually really like how the hair turned out.

I think it looks great. I also like makeup. I think it complements this dress well. Now I'm just going to customize it. I chose Upload some accessories from Lulu's. I think I already showed you in the hallway part of this video. I have these earrings. I think they would look very elegant and pretty. I'm not going to make a necklace just because it has a high neckline. I don't think it's necessary and then I have this clutch, it's very classic and I have black heels like classic black heels that I like that I already had. Lulu also has a lot of good shoes so you should definitely check them out if you need some shoes so I grabbed this one it's like this black one like a little clutch it's chic it's hard to find well chic there they are the earrings, um, I also have this bracelet and honestly, I like to mix it up. metals like gold and silver I feel like it's very fashionable to mix metals I think I'm going to wear it on the wrist I don't have the bag on it doesn't really matter I have the dress I have the hair I have the makeup accessories I think that's it, obviously, like perfume, deodorant, all that kind of stuff, hairspray.
