Mar 20, 2024
Well good morning it's great to be here and to be at a university that really believes in the

of God that begins with genesis and they are rare universities today so I love being able to be here and promote the master's university as well . I greatly appreciate Dr. Macarthur's bold stance and phenomenal ministry. Well, I come from an organization called Answers in Genesis. I originally come from Australia, so I hope I still have that accent. I don't want to sound like you. In fact, I didn't even have an accent until I came to America and then they told me I had one so well.

You put on infrared goggles and we have all kinds of exhibits that teach you the whole story of the Bible, for example, you walk from Genesis to Revelation. We introduce you. We clearly have the gospel, we have the most powerful pro-life exhibition, I believe in the world, the dinosaur exhibition, the Israel exhibition and others as well. By the way, did I tell you we need staff? So we have 90 full-time positions right now and 600 seasonal positions and internships, so you know, at a university like this, people who believe in the word of God, you might want to think about a career there, well, I wanted to talk about a message from this book, it's one of my latest books called Cultures of Divided Nations and Chaos in a Church in Conflict and I was actually in Chino Hills speaking yesterday and most of the material we brought was sold out, but we have some of it left. these and for any of the books that are available, including this one, we are actually giving them as Bible college students because we know that they have no money and they live in California, which means that they have less than no money, so we we give those at 70 off, which means five dollars for any of the books here. and this one here, which I think has a cutting edge message for the church, in fact the illustrations that I use are here and there is a link in front where you can download those illustrations and pdf, jpeg, keynote powerpoint so you can go and preach these messages, that's what we're going to do, equip you to go and give these messages.
We have all kinds of cultural problems today. I'm sure you're familiar with the moral relativism that is permeating the culture. Gay marriage and gender issues. The issue of abortion. and so on and christian researcher george barna talks about generation z and i'm sure many of you are generation z and he says they are the first truly post-christian generation who says in the united states we now have a The post-christian generation has twice as many more likely to be an atheist than any previous generation. One of the latest pieces of research I was able to get from the Cultural Research Center in Arizona was this 39 year old 18 to 24 year old sort of mix of Gen Z and also millennials identify themselves as lgbtq 39 and you realize Wow, this culture is changing, but not just the culture, we have problems in the church, let me tell you one of the main problems in the entire Western world, actually, you know what church?
Attendance is in England at the moment, it's down to four per cent. What about the United States? There is an incredible exodus from the church. Do you know how many people attended church in the 18th century in America? It was between 75 and 80 percent, but I've been looking at church attendance statistics. for the last few years and I just updated them here, this one from the pew research center and they divide people into generations depending on when they were born, so the biggest generational boom before 1928 has about 51 percent going to church, but as you get here, the baby boomers 38 and as you get to the younger millennials, the old millennials, this also includes some members of generation z, look what's happening, there's a generational decline in attendance the church and this is the last thing I could get. from 2021 from gss data explorer look where generation z and millennials are here and people, we are losing the younger generations and not only that, there are other problems that we have lgbtq and the church, this research from recently and from 2021 27 of those 18-37 year olds identify as Christian and identify as lgbtq, but you notice something: 29 of those who identify as non-Christian also identify that way, which means there's really not much difference between those who say they are Christians. and those who are not in these generations, then something truly catastrophic is happening here.
In fact, I think you could describe our culture this way in the judges 21 25 in those days there was no king in Israel, everyone did what was right in his own way. Eyes, you know, when people ask me what's happened in the United States, I say it's very, very easy to understand. You take generations through an educational system. You teach them that the Bible is not true. You teach them naturalism as a fact. Evolutionary naturalism, which is atheism as a fact. tell them that there is no god who decides right and wrong and ultimately anything goes, everything is subjective.
Moral relativism will permeate, which is exactly what we see happening right now and you know it's interesting because I've talked to some of these people like the LGBT movement and they'll tell me but you Christians are intolerant, you give speeches of hate, all we want is freedom for all points of view and I tell you no, no, you don't want freedom for all of you, that's all we want. we just want freedom for all points of view, well what about the bible based view that marriage is one man and one woman and there are only two genders and this is what is okay and this is what That's wrong?
Oh, they say you're being intolerant, you're not allowing it. our views wait a minute you are not allowing our body based views to see the clash see that it is a clash of world views because the problem is actually a deeper problem it is a fundamental problem than I want talk today you know The problems continue to increase as we see in our culture and there are many of them now, in fact sometimes I see words that I had never heard of before, I had never heard of them when I was a teenager and yet, what we see permeates the culture and here is another problem.
Well, I find that a lot of the church, a lot of people in the church say how do we deal with this and I've had people tell me, you know we have to deal with this problem, this problem and this problem, you know the problem of the abortion, the problem of gay marriage, we have to deal with transgenderism, etc., but what you need to understand is this and what many people have not been taught to understand is that they are all the same problem, they are not different problems . They are the same problem, right, they are symptoms of the problem, which means the solution is the same and what the solution is.
See, what it comes down to is that we have a clash of worldviews in our culture because there are two different foundations. What I want to talk about today is the word of man or the word of God and there are more and more people in our culture who trust in man instead of trusting the word of God and you know you see that battle throughout the Bible, so In fact, it appears as light and darkness. build your house on the rock build your house on the sand those who are for Christ those who are against those who gather those who scatter in fact if you look at genesis 3 15 what really is a promise of the messiah and the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent that battle has been fighting ever since and that is what the rest of the Bible is about that is the battle that is being fought today and what I want people to understand is that these moral problems that we see today are symptoms of the problem that They build their worldview on a wrong foundation and to solve this problem people need to trust the word of God and build their thinking on the word of God until that happens, we will never deal with the problems up here because it is a problem fundamental.
In other words, the solution has always been the truth of God's word and the saving gospel. Now people say to me, "Okay, but why is this happening?" but you see, what's happening today has been happening for 6,000 years, it's just that we're seeing it. more so today because the veneer of Christianity that somehow permeated the culture has been stripped away and stripped away from the public education system about 6,000 years ago, when God created everything, he said it was very good, but he said to the first man, Adam, you. You can eat from all trees except one. If you do, you will surely die.
In other words, obey the word of God. What happened? The devil in the form of a snake approached Eve and said: Did God really say to stop there for a moment? Do you understand what the first attack was? The first attack was on the word of God. The ministry of answers in Genesis is interesting. A lot of people think, oh, they're talking about the evolution of creation or the age of the earth or something like that and fossils. Do you know what we do? It's all about ministry and I have always positioned ministry this way, the authority of the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
You see, everything is a question of authority and here we see the devil wanting Adam and Eve to doubt God. word so that doubt leads to disbelief so that they can be their own god to decide good and evil uh for themselves you know what's interesting we know that Adam sinned and we sinned in Adam and really genesis 3 1 and 3 5 I think that really sum up the sinful nature of man, you know we have a problem, you know what our problem is, we prefer to put our faith and trust in the word of man instead of the word of God, I see it a lot in universities, seminaries and the Christian Bible. universities and churches with Christian leaders who prefer to trust the word of man regarding naturalism and evolution and millions of years of the word of man regarding origin instead of trusting the word of God and we want to be our own god and decide good and bad for ourselves.
You see, what started happening back then was this battle between the word of man and the word of God, a battle between two religions, ultimately there are only two religions. You know, we can talk about hundreds of different religions in a sense that are based on the word of man, but in the ultimate sense there are two and if you jump to the new testament it's interesting because in the new testament the apostle paul has a warning for us and I will paraphrase it this way, I want to warn you that the devil is going to use the same method with you, the samemethod with his children, grandchildren, those who have had families or contemplating families, and so on, he is going to use the same method that he used on Vespers to bring us to a position of not believing the things of God, what was that method?
You see, one of the things we need to tell ourselves is this, if the word of God warns us that the devil will use a particular method to keep us from believing the word of God, we better know it. what is that method and what is that method is an attack on the word of God to make us doubt and not believe in the word of God. I call it the Genesis 3 attack and you know the Genesis 3 attack has been happening since Genesis 3. but it manifests itself in different ways at different times and the question I have for us is how does the Genesis 3 attack manifest itself in today's world? in the era we live in.
How does it manifest? Look, if you think about it, you know when Peter. and Paul were preaching about the resurrection. Do you think someone came up to them and asked them about carbon dating? Well, no, because it's a 20th century invention, do you think that when Martin Luther was learning those theses at the church door in the 16th century, someone was surprised. He approached and said: do you believe in dinosaurs and did they get on the ark? Well, the word dinosaur was not invented until 1841 and is basically a term for several different types of animals that God would have created, etc.
That's a completely different topic. What I want to point out is that there have always been attacks on the word of God that have had to be dealt with throughout the ages, but what is the Genesis 3 attack of this era? And I believe that the Genesis 3 attack of this era really began in the 19th century to the present and it is an attack that unfortunately much of the church and many of the leaders of our church and not all of course, but many have succumbed. . I have traveled all over the world for the last forty years.
You know what I found, no matter what country you are in, you can be. a third world country, when people know that you are talking about the Bible and the gospel, they tend to ask the same basic questions in this age, they would say, well, wait a minute, don't we live in a scientific age? Haven't scientists refuted the Bible? How do you know the Bible is true? What evidence is there for God? Can you, God, believe in Adam and Eve? Where did Cain get his wife? if all races arose if there are only two people to begin with where is the evidence of the floods, don't the layers of fossils prove millions of years and evolution?
We know that men evolved from ape-like creatures. Heck, the story of Adam and Eve, whether true or wait a minute, how could all the animals not fit on the ark? Didn't dinosaurs live? millions of years ago and evolved into birds, how can all the animals fit on the ark anyway? um, there are too many of them, hasn't science proven that evolution is true? Isn't the Bible an obsolete book of mythology just out of interest? many of you have heard those types of questions oh that's a shock, well no it's not a shock because those are the types of questions that we hear today because what you just told me is that you understand what some of the questions are about. attack questions from Genesis 3. our day now the next question I have for you and don't answer it, just sit down and think about it.
Can you answer those questions now? At a university like this, I would hope that many of you would be able to say yes because you will be taught the answers to those questions, but you will see that most people in our churches cannot answer those types of questions and then I challenge you. Have you taught your children to answer those questions? Have you equipped them to make sure they are ready for the world? They are living so that they do not go astray, you know, we have an incredible problem in the church and we see the exodus of the younger generations and we are seeing a very lukewarm church in many cases, you know, obviously.
There are a number of exceptions, of course, and exceptions associated with grace and mastery in college, etc., but most churches have become very lukewarm and don't really have the impact that they shouldn't make the bowl stand, they should, why? We are in this situation today, I believe it is because much of the church and our leaders have succumbed to the modern day Genesis 3 attack. Look, if you go back to the 19th century, there are atheists and deists who were popularizing naturalism and they don't explain it to you. all by natural processes and then they said that the layers, the layers of rock, uh, with the fossils, well, there is no flood, the Bible is not true, therefore, they were established millions of years before man, but now You know what started happening then, for example, it was founded by Thomas Chalmers. the free church of Scotland, the great great Christian man, but he succumbed because he said, you know what we can do, we can take those millions of years and put them in a gap between genesis 1 1 and 1 2 and he basically formulated this gap theory, the god of Scofield's Bible and permeated many universities and churches.
How many of you heard about the gap theory? Yeah, I think we've all heard the gap theory and then you know what happened. There were those who said, "Well, we'll fit them into the days of creation and then we'll reinterpret the days uh and then all kinds of different positions emerged as people tried to fit the millions of years in, then along comes Darwin popularizes the ideas of evolution." , there were church leaders who said we'll say god used evolution, so you've heard of theistic evolution, the big bang came and the others, uh, Christian leaders said you know what we'll say, god uses the big bang and before long you start to have all these different positions on genesis that permeate the church.
You know, I've been in churches where I've been told, well, one of our elders is a gap theorist, well, our pastor tends toward the gap. progressive creation of Hugh Ross or something like that, oh, we have some people in the church that have a theistic evolution, they say, to me, what's your position? I say, oh, the biblical one, because all of these, do you realize? of all these different positions on genesis? Go check it out, every single position on genesis, except taking it as written, all have one thing in common, trying to fit millions of years into the Bible by taking man's view of origins and trying to force it into the Bible. .
I was on a radio show once, one time it was with a Presbyterian minister and he said, I mean, now wait a minute, wait a minute, he said you should admit that we have a lot of different denominations, you know, and how churches and different positions, I mean an eschatology, there are pre-mill positions, mail, a mill, you know, windmill, treadmill, there are many different positions, uh, different positions on baptism, immersion, different sprinkling. positions on speaking in tongues on the Sabbath I said yes, okay and he said there are different positions on genesis the same thing I said I know, I know and if you can understand this you will really understand the burden we have on the answers in genesis by what has happened because you see when you are arguing about issues of eschatology, baptism, speaking in tongues or whatever, mainly and obviously not everyone can be right, but regardless, mainly you are saying, but the Scriptures say here, yes, but here He says this, yes, but in context.
It says here that you're arguing primarily from Scripture, but the reason we have all these different views on genesis in the churches is because they say because of what scientists say, because of what these scientists here say because millions of years because in other words, they are beginning outside the Scriptures to take the religion of man. You are not an evolution of millions of years. You know what it really is, it's the pagan religion of the time to try to justify the explanation of life without God and them. We are taking that pagan religion and adding it to the Bible and undermining the authority of the word of God.
I mean, that's really what's happening and I wanted to give you some practical examples. Now I'm always afraid to do this. I'm going to show you some video clips of some people when I do this. I'm not attacking you personally, but you know what we must do: we must make sure that we judge what people say against the absolute authority of the Word of God, that's what we must do because today I find that, you know, I have even found to so many young people in our churches who say things like well, I feel like if a man and another man love each other, they should be.
I can get married, but wait a minute, they need to be taught that it's not that you can't trust your feelings, it's not a matter of your feelings and anyway, the Bible says that the heart of man is deceived above all things. and desperately evil, so you can't. Trust your feelings, they need to be taught that we have the absolute authority of the word of God and that is what we use to judge what people say or their behavior or whatever, but unfortunately because many of these young people in Our churches what happened to them is that Many of their pastors and other people have told me: oh, you can believe what you taught in school, it's okay, don't worry, the genesis is not important, yes, we should take what they say scientists and we can reinterpret the genesis, that is fair confidence. in Jesus, Johnny, but you know they're starting to realize that if the first part of the Bible can't be true, how can the rest of it be true?
And by the way, once you open that door and say, you can take what the fallible man is saying. here and reinterpret the word of God in genesis why you shouldn't do that with marriage why you shouldn't do that with gender which is exactly what is happening in much of the church I want to give you a practical look at what I believe which is a major problem catastrophic problem that permeates most christian schools seminaries bible colleges churches not this one, but there are some like this that are based on the word of God as they should, but like I said, they are the exception, not the rule, some of you may have heard who he is I've heard of Dr.
William Lane Craig, oh many of you, okay so, Dr. William Landcraig, he actually has his own organization called Reasonable Faith, he is said to be a great apologist of our time, in fact, many seminaries and Bible colleges admire him. he is a visiting professor at the talbot school of theology associated with biola because there are many professors there who would not agree with our position on genesis because they believe in millions of years and so on and he is a professor of philosophy at houston baptist university, so That In 2009, let me show you what he's saying.
How old is the world? Current best estimates are around 13.7 billion years. Now this is good. You will see. This is a position I can accept because there are people who sit here and say no. fifteen hundred years um, that's not a terrible position, I don't think it's plausible, um, the arguments I give are in line with conventional science, I'm not opposed to the conventional science that represents these arguments, whether I follow the current of contemporary cosmology, he knows what he is saying, look how he used the word science in 2014, I debated with Bill nye, Bill nye, the scientist, really Bill nye, the atheist, but I debated with him at the creation museum and the first.
I did it because Bill Nye was portraying this battle we have as science versus the Bible and here's the problem. I said people need to understand what the word science means and the word science means knowledge and I said this is the point where you can get knowledge. by your five senses that build technology and we can all agree on that science that is called observational science or operational science or you could have knowledge about the past when you were not there, that is historical science, that is the topic of origins, The problem that we What we have today is that secularists use the word science for origins and science for their technology or experiments in the laboratory or whatever, and people are indoctrinated to believe, well, wait a minute if scientists who invented all this technology are using the word science. over millions of years of evolution I can't give up science they don't understand that you need to have one I have a real understanding of what the word means and there is a difference between beliefs about the past and what your five senses can experience in the present , so I explained to him that in the debate over the nye bill one of the problems that I have seen is that many of our theologians in many of our seminaries and universities throughout this nation have capitulated to this and will do so.
I say because of what scientists say now William Lane Craig says because of science what I am not going against what I say science, but he is talking about scientists who talk about the big bang of billions of years, which are beliefs about origins that are not empirical. science and so what he is really saying is that I go with the flow of what fallible man says about origins. I don't go with what the word saysof God. Therein lies the problem with much of the church now, one of the things I've been saying for years is that once you open that door and start adding millions of years to the Bible that way, you'll eventually give up. biblical authority, you will eventually give up the book of Genesis, let's see where William Lane Craig is today, 12 years later. a little over 12 years later and he just published a book recently and was interviewed about this book.
It would be disingenuous, Sean, if I said I didn't want the creationist interpretation of the Young Earth to come true. Okay, to me, that's a nightmare. My biggest fear is that the Young Earth creationist might be right in his hermeneutical claim that Genesis teaches the things I described above and I say that would be a nightmare because if that's what the Bible teaches, I think it puts the Bible on a huge level. irredeemable conflict with modern science if you believe that the Bible is written in Jesus, that puts it in conflict with what he calls science, but it has to do with origins that we cannot have, therefore you cannot believe in the Bible, I should be saying.
Therefore, we cannot believe what the man is saying, he is saying the opposite and it has been a problem in the church and it is a problem that has permeated Christianity on the issue that Adam was made of earth and Eve was formed from one of Adam's ribs. Those elements are part of the myth in the history of the myth or you believe they are historical. I think it's part of men's figurative language. I have long suspected things like the creation of Eve from a rib from Adam's side as if God had performed some kind of literal surgery on the man and built a woman out of him or if the God molded this figurine with earth and then blew into his nostrils the breath that contained life and the statue came to life.
It seemed to me that this was clearly figurative language. I shouldn't have to say much about that here at this university. I think it should push us to not be too literalist in how we read these narratives and once you start looking at them. In terms of mythical history, it's hard to see them any other way, that is, when you read a story about two people in an arboretum with these magical trees whose fruits, if you let them, will grant you immortality or the knowledge of good and evil and then there is this talking serpent that comes and leads them into sin and then you have this anthropomorphic god walking in the cool of the garden audibly calling to Adam in his hiding place, you think, of course, this is figurative language, and metaphorical, this is not it is. is meant to be read this literally and so once you start seeing these narratives this way I think you start to wonder how can I read them any other way, it would be like reading esop stables literally, as if it really was like that.
Do you believe in literal genesis is like taking fables literally and what do you mean by myth history? You know what it means is myth, that's what it means because that's what people really say, do you realize they were mocking the creation story of Adam and Eve they were mocking and mocking the fall the way it's written in the Bible who was making fun of that and then okay, one last, I know you're tired of this, but one last, assuming then, for the sake of argument, the truth of evolutionary biology Responding to human origins, we can imagine that sometime before 750,000 years ago, a group of hominids, perhaps a few thousand, and through biological and spiritual renewal, perhaps divinely induced a miracle that caused a regulatory mutation. genetics in a couple of these hominids. were raised to a fully human state, you know what I would rather believe in God's word that he made them straight from the dust and made Eve straight from Adam's side than these mindless people, this is a problem that has permeated the church and just to give you another, just another very quick example, let's take one of the largest churches in America, with Andy Stanley, we really believe, whether you take it literally or figuratively, whatever, if we just believe that God is the creator of the universe, who all time, space and matter, all time, space and matter.
They were created by God and we take seriously what science has told us that everything began with a singularity that refers to just before there was no this is before the big bang because before time was and time began so If we go to the singularity that was the big bang that unfolded the universe that continues to expand and when religion and science come into conflict at the end of the day, if you are an honest person, science must win and I can assure you that they do not take of context, you can listen. to all the teachings that we and the people have done, it is a problem in the church because they are elevating man above god and they are using the fallible words of man to reinterpret the word of god that began in the 19th century in this era and it has been undermining the authority of the word of god and we have had more and more christian leaders who have capitulated to compromising the word of man with the word of god and we have told generations of children that the bible is not true in genesis 1 to 11 and they have I walked away from the church, what can we do about it?
Well, I want to suggest two things to you. I list five in the book. Divided nation, but I want to list two things in particular where I think there has been a huge failure in much of the church. one is to raise generations thinking fundamentally what do I mean by that, where does your thinking come from, where does your vision of the world come from, don't take it out of the air, your vision of the world has a basis, is it the word of God or the word of man, and as Christians we need to raise generations on the foundation of the word of God and starting in Genesis 1 to 11 because one of the things I want to show you is that Genesis 1 to 11 is the foundation of all doctrine for others. of the bible for our worldview and if you have not raised generations on the foundation of genesis 1 to 11, no wonder the world leads you astray regarding marriage, transgender people, abortion and everything else, no wonder that they have left the church and the second thing is apologetics first peter 3 15 always be prepared to make a defense or response that comes from the Greek word uh upload gear from where we get that apologetic word that means a logical reason defense of the faith There has been a great lack of apologetics teaching in our churches and in many of our universities and Christian schools, etc., in order to equip people with answers to the three attacks of the genesis of our day that cause them to doubt and disbelieve in truth. word of god and so what I wanted to do was just give you some examples of what it means to think fundamentally and use apologetics is what we do at ark meetings what we do at the creation museum at the creation museum a centerpiece of the exhibits is the seven seas of history, we also have many other exhibits, but we guide people from genesis to revelation and there was a burden that I had from the 70s when I started teaching and speaking in churches and I saw that a lot of people are trying to deal with how to deal with evolution and creation and this issue and gay marriage and they're trying to deal with all these problems and death and suffering and so on and I realized why they're not starting with What God has revealed to us in Genesis so to them they are just problems all over the place and they are all different problems rather than symptoms of having the wrong foundation and that is why we developed the seven seas and when you look at them, the first four creation perfect creation corruption the entrance of sin and death and the promise of the savior catastrophe the flood of the days of noah and then the tower of babel the first four seas that is genesis 1 to 11 is a story in geology biology astronomy anthropology that is fundamental to our Christian worldview is fundamental to all of our doctrine, it is fundamental to everything and that is what much of the church has overlooked and it is no wonder that they do not know how to deal with these problems, it is no wonder that people are lukewarm and is not equipped with answers. and they feel intimidated, then they feel intimidated by people who oppose them and that's why many Christians don't want to go out and witness to others also because they feel like I won't be able to answer the questions and they don't really know why they believe what they do. , so I'll ask you a question and then you'll give me the answer and I'll make it easy for you.
There are a number of questions and this answer is the same for each of them which should be easy for college students and then I'll give you the answer anyway so you can remember it well. Here is the answer. You start with Genesis 1 to 11. So what's the answer? Well, how do we deal with gender? Which is the answer? Well, let me show you this so you can start with Genesis 1 to 11. God created man in his own image, male and female, he created them. It's interesting, I don't. In fact, I don't see any other options when you go to Genesis 5 it says male and female who created them throughout the old testament you see phrases like this male or female jump to the new testament jesus as the son of god the god man when asked about marriage actually quotes here the text of Genesis 1 27.
Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female and again in Mark 10 6 from the beginning of creation God made them male and female and here is the question? I tell that to parents and other people as I present it to them, I said, look, do you realize if you get rid of all the outside influences? okay, if we really believe that this is the word of god, if this is a revelation from god to us, he is the one. who knows everything, we know nothing compared to what God knows and he has revealed this key information to us here as the basis of our worldview.
So if you just start with the Scriptures, there are only two genders for humans, male and female, what do we rely on? teach your children that now it's good to have some apologetics and we also need to know what the world is going to say and how the world attacks, so it's good to have other information as well so that we know that from observational science, know that the Life is based on that DNA inheritance molecule that forms our chromosomes and humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes and men have a pair of sex chromosomes women have a pair of sex chromosomes in men x and y and in women they are x and x oh there science confirming the bible amazing, I wish they would follow the science, don't they tell us to do that all the time?
I don't see many politicians following the science, but then people will come to us and say, ah. but there are some people who have three x's and others have two . problems like that on those chromosomes it's like point zero six percent in other words it's tiny it's tiny which means there must be something else going on here oh we start from genesis 1 to 11 we live in a fallen world no more It is a perfect world and now because God placed upon us the judgment of death Romans 8 tells us the groaning of all creation so now things are running out and we are running out and when genes are copied from one generation to the next they can be copying mistakes mutations and you can end up with all kinds of problems on all kinds of chromosomes causing all kinds of problems, but none of that negates the created order and that's the point, we need to make sure that we are equipped and we are preparing people with the right foundation, okay?
Do you have anything to do with marriage? Which is the answer? It starts from Genesis 1 to 11. God made man from dust, not from an ape man. William Lane Craig was wrong about the dust. In fact, the Bible says that from the dust we come under the dust and we return when we die. We will not be a monkey man again when we die and then God said that it is not good for man to be alone. In other words, you see that when God made man there were no others made in the image of God, only humans, which is why God brought animals. to him to name him to show him that there was no one like you, the only man was made in the image of God, he didn't look at a female chimpanzee and say: you know she's close enough that he could date her or something, so , What did?
God put Adam to sleep and on his side made a woman go to the New Testament 1 Corinthians 11. Twice in that chapter Paul says that woman came from man, not from a monkey woman, you cannot add evolution to bible like Many Christian leaders have tried to do it and then Adam got all poetic and romantic and said: this is an erection, my bone, flesh of my flesh, she will be called woman because she was taken from man, you know, I tell the Guys, hey, Valentine's Day is coming. Maybe you know if they haven't canceled it by then, but take your girlfriend or your wife out to dinner at a good restaurant, sit them at the table, look them in the eyes,Take off her mask, make sure it's the right woman, no one. years ago I would understand that but you just understand it and then you look at her, you look at her and you say I want to be like Adam when he was perfect you are bone of my bones you are flesh of my flesh you are a woman anyway you are so let's move on to the next verse, therefore, this is the reason why a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and become flesh if you look at Genesis 2 24, you know what the creation of marriage is, who created marriage.
God created marriage, not Joe Biden or the Supreme Court justices, God created marriage and in fact there is only one type of marriage in the New Testament, Jesus and we had this verse before. When asked about marriage, he said: Haven't you read? He made the beginning. He made Genesis male and female 1 27 and therefore a man will leave his father and his mother and will be united to his wife and they will be one flesh, that is Genesis 2 24. Jesus is testifying to the historicity of Genesis as a foundation for marriage and there is only one marriage, a man and a woman, which means there is no gay marriage now, if I write about gay marriage, I put marriage in quotes, you can call gay union or whatever you want, but there is only A marriage is a marriage created by God. the bible goes back to genesis in fact you know what's interesting ultimately every biblical doctrine of theology is based directly or indirectly on genesis 1 2 11. if what I'm saying is correct and we've had generations of people in our churches and the Most of our Christian leaders have ignored Genesis 1-11, failed to teach it, or compromised it with evolution in millions of years.
Even some conservative pastors have told me that I am not willing to teach much about Genesis because I believe. The vision. I have people in my church who believe in evolution and so on. You know people need to have courage and stand up for what God's word teaches and be bold about it. If we've had generations like that, then they. They're going to be in a pickle knowing how to deal with all of these different problems and moral issues. They really won't know why they believe what they do. They won't be able to defend it. Think about it.
Where is the origin? of death genesis 1 to 11 sin genesis 1 2 11. why man has dominion genesis 1 to 11 doctrine of work genesis 1 to 11 7-day week genesis 1 to 11 god did everything in six days and rested for one why Jesus is called the lastAdam Genesis 1 to 11 Why are you dying? Genesis 1 to 11. Why do we need new heavens and a new earth? Genesis 1 to 11. I notice that you are wearing clothes, which is very good, but animals don't wear clothes. Because? Do we wear clothes? God gave us clothes because of sin. Genesis 1 to 11. Do you think Genesis 1 11 is important and yet think about it, that it has been so neglected by much of the church or compromised or ignored?
No wonder we have problems, okay? How is abortion addressed? Well, what's the answer? Then God made man in his own image. What does that have to do with the issue of abortion? All because only humans were made in the image of God. How did God make the animals let the earth produce living creatures? according to their kinds, how did he make man? He said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness and, by the way, in the next part of that verse we would have another hour for them to have dominion over the fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and so on, man was given dominion over creation, many of our politicians have creation having dominion over man and one of the things we have to also recognize is that when whatever the foundation of a person is , it determines your worldview, so if our political leaders have a wrong foundation regarding history, for example, take climate change, you know, people ask me if I believe in climate change, I sure believe in climate change. climate change, there has been climate change since the flood that caused everything. types of climate change, but if you believe in millions of years and have a completely different worldview regarding this and what happens etc., you are going to make bad decisions, it's the same when it comes to environmental issues.
We need to understand that everything natural is not good, we live in a fallen creation and God has given me man, that does not mean that we abuse the creation, we must take care of it, but there is a whole worldview of having a biblical environment. world view based on the word of God that we must make sure to develop, but today the emphasis is that man is just an animal and that is what the world wants our children and others to believe that we are just an animal, that we are not . different than animals, in fact, if you go to the Cincinnati Zoo, we're in northern Kentucky and if you just go across the river, to the Cincinnati Zoo, they teach you that when you visit the ape exhibit you're visiting your family, you look at around you. the room that makes sense now they have their assignment and quote jane goodall who did a lot of research on apes, after all we are not the only beings with rational personalities, thought and emotions, there is no clear line that divides us from chimpanzees and the others. apes we humans are part of the animal kingdom and we are not separate from it, so the emphasis of the world today is that you are just an animal, you know, get rid of the leftover cats, get rid of the leftover children, What's the difference?
You know, it's interesting, they say there is no clear line that divides us from chimpanzees to other apes. I don't know that every zoo I've been to has a very clear line dividing them and I want to challenge us with some radical thinking here because of the way the world is. Indoctrinating our children, why shouldn't we separate man from animals because we are humans made in the image of God and we make that criterion? I understand that we have a mammal-like body, but the emphasis of the world is that we are just animals, so I think we have to respond to that, make sure that we are teaching an appropriate biblical worldview now that we know that sexual reproductions involve you get one set of DNA from the male and one from the female fertilization, this is a little bit of the animation from our beautifully done exhibit at the creation museum, which is an incredibly powerful exhibit and in fertilization, what happens, it has a unique combination of information unlike any other human being, and as that cell begins to build our body, new information is never added. which means you have 100 human rights from fertilization, which means abortion is killing a human being from fertilization now, um, while you're thinking about all that too, consider what God says in psalm 139, wonderful psalm to read with awe and wonderfully done. together in your mother's womb and then this phrase when I saw your unformed substance even when your body was not formed you were a person because from fertilization all the information that builds you right there you are 100 human what does the word of god mean?
Don't kill, you fearfully and wonderfully made me in my mother's womb, wow, now what does the world say? Because we must make sure we are prepared for it. I'm sure you've heard this, our bodies, our rights. I heard that, didn't I recently? US Vice President Kamala Harris tweeted this. Women's right to make decisions about their own bodies is non-negotiable. Women's right to make decisions about their own bodies is their decision. her body is interesting, it seems to apply to that topic and you can't think of anything else about it, but is it her body? Well, no, I'm not talking about a fertilized egg that is male, where the y chromosome came from, not the female, which is not part of. her body and not only that, did you know that a woman's body actually sees a fertilized egg as foreign tissue to reject it, just like if you have a kidney transplant, your body recognizes the foreign tissue and you have to take medication against it. rejection?
God built an anti-rejection mechanism in the womb so that it could develop wow wow absolutely phenomenal and you know I had a young girl who was in the creation museum, she came to see me one day and she had tears in her eyes and she told me , you know what they brought me I was in church my whole life and no one really explained to me this thing about being made in the image of God and different from animals and they never talked to me about DNA and the unique combination of information and what would happen if someone like me had an abortion and I said "okay." We also need to understand the grace, mercy, forgiveness and love of God because you know I told him.
You know what the word of God says. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and he simply forgives us our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. He promised us. to eliminate our sins as far as the east is from the west and not remember them anymore and then she had a big smile on her face and said thank you, look what a difference when you teach the right fundamentals and you know when you get to creation when you come to the museum of the creation, you'll see this beautifully done exhibit, we're actually tripling in size this year and you'll be able to see all of those models right from the fertilization and you'll be able to see the organs inside the models working it's got to be absolutely phenomenal, okay, this one then because we're getting closer In the end here we always say that so that people think that you are, isn't that what the teachers say, the pastors say, so how?
Do you have to deal with death, suffering and illness? You have to start with Genesis 1 to 11. You know, one of the most frequently asked questions among young people today: how can there be a loving God with all the death and suffering in the world? you see the origin of death is in genesis when you walk through the museum of creation that second you see corruption you see god said that everything he did was very good but adam if you disobey you will die adam disobeyed there is the origin of sin the origin of death now the entire creation groans what was God's response he made garments of skin he includes them there is the origin of the clothing and in the museum of creation we have the scene of the sacrifice the first blood sacrifice the covering for his sin a picture of what would come in jesus christ the lamb of god who takes away the sin of the world is to look at the one who will come, god establishing that sacrificial system and we look today and understand how we need to be clothed with the righteousness of the lord jesus christ, so why what the spill? of blood well without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins the life of the flesh is in the blood death was the penalty for sin so life must be given so that there can be payment for sin and the bible says that it is It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away a sin because we are not animals we are not connected to animals a man brought sin and death to the world a man would have to pay the penalty for sin global descendants of Adam and Eve, for True, there is only one race because we are all descendants of Adam and Eve one race biologically and we are all sinners, so God enters history in the person of his son to be the perfect and sinless godman to become.
Adam's race to die on a cross, rise from the dead, and offer that free gift of salvation. Wow, look at all the gospel messages there founded on Genesis 1 through 11. I've had pastors who have told people today that when you go out and evangelize, don't mention that genesis is too controversial, just tell them the gospel, How can you tell them the gospel without the genesis? And more and more today we have generations that don't even understand sin, they don't even understand the Bible, they have been taught against the Bible. and then if you think about people like william lane craig and andy stanley, but it's not just them, there are professors at all kinds of universities, whether it's Wheaton or Calvin or Biola, or you run all over the country and they'll teach students at the that you can believe in millions. of years, well, the idea of millions of years arose from atheism and deism, particularly atheism, and they believe that those layers were established millions of years before man, but if you, as a Christian, believe in millions of years, You will know that in the fossil record there are many examples of animals eating each other's bones in their stomachs, but the Bible says that originally Adam and Eve were vegetarians and so were animals, in fact, as humans we were not told that we could eat meat Until after the flood, when in Genesis 9 3 God simply said like I gave you the plants now I give you everything, that's the reason you can eat a hot dog because it's everything, you know?
Even the origin of a hot dog is in genesis 1 to 11. If you believe in millions of years, right? know what else there is in the fossil record lots of documentation about bone diseases think about these diseases tumors cancers arthritis abscesses oh there are many articles about this if all of that existed before man and then after God created man he said that everything he did is very Good, so God is calling cancer and all those diseases. Very good. That doesn't fit with who God is. That means that these two things are notThey can be true at the same time.
You can't have millions of years of death and disease beforehand. to man and man's sin leading to death and disease, which means those layers of fossils couldn't have been deposited for millions of years oh hmm well how do you explain fossils? Well, how do you explain fossils? You start with oh, genesis 1 to 11, if there is. It really was a global flood, you would expect to find billions of dead things buried in layers of rock deposited by water all over the Earth, you know, you find billions of dead things buried in layers of rock deposited by water all over the Earth. the Earth very quickly.
I don't have time to deal with this very quickly and then we'll be done How do you deal with racism? It starts with that confusion of the fourth c. Babel's tower. Take the story from the Bible. God made Adam and Eve. Descendants of the world. Adam and Eve, which means that if we are all descendants of two people, Adam and Eve, how many biological races are there of humans? One, two spiritual races, the saved and the unsaved, but biologically there is only one, so why do we talk about races? There are so many churches talking. about races and you know as you go through the story there are eight people on that big ship and when they got out you know what it says in Genesis 9 the sons of Noah Hamsham and Japeth of these the people of the whole earth were scattered The Bible makes it clear that all human beings on Earth today are descendants of those three sons and what happened is approximately 150 years after the flow, there is an event called the Babel terror.
God gives different languages so that people distance themselves from each other due to genetic diversity. Depending on who gets married, who dies, how isolated they are, you're going to end up with different external characteristics that dominate particular groups, but they're not different races, they're different groups of people and one of the things that we see today even with um, you know, critical race theory that is even being adopted by many of our churches, by the way, when people ask me what do you do with critical race theory, this is what I say, number one is the fundamental word of man or the word of God.
Is it the word of man? It is not the word of God. So that tells you that the worldview is going to be wrong and you look at the worldview. What are they teaching? People judge people based on their exterior. The Bible says that people need to be judged. According to what they have inside their hearts, they are against the absolute authority of the word of God and then they divide people into the oppressed and the oppressors in whites and blacks in particular, that is what they do here in America, but this That's what's interesting. Did you know?
There are no blacks or whites look at the people who look at me and say you're white, no I'm not, I can prove to you in less than a second that I'm not white, this is observational science, I'm not white, you know we have pigments in our skin and the main pigment we have is melanin, melanin has a couple of forms but it's brown and of course there are a lot of genes involved and this is too simplistic to give you the basics. principles if you had a big b that means a lot of melon and a little a small b that means a little bit you can be uh if you had all the big a's and the big b's you would be very dark that's not black, it's dark brown, the little Asian b is very light, it's not white, it's light brown, most people in the world are medium brown, if you're going to divide people into black and white, where do you draw the lines because you have them all? those nuances in the world see what a difference when you start with the right foundation to have the right view of the world and understand the way that there are implications here, you know, for example, if there's only one race biologically, there's no such thing as a interracial couple because we are all one race couple there are no biracial people because we are all one race we are all Adam's race what a difference when you start with the right foundation and you know there is one last thing I want to say quickly and that is What I summarize with these two diagrams is a battle between the word of God and the word of man and the devil knows how you tear down that castle of Christianity, you tear down the word of God, so to speak, you attack the word of God and on this day . and age the attack has been directed at genesis 1 to 11, many in our churches unfortunately have also undermined genesis 1 to 11 and people look up and say look at all the problems we have to deal with and the culture, but they are not the problems, they are the symptoms of the problem and therefore what our ministry is about and the books we have and the attractions is helping to raise up generations with the right foundation starting with Genesis 1 to 11.
Having the right worldview to understand. why they believe what they do equipped with answers to be able to tend to defend the Christian faith and address the problems fundamentally, only then can we begin to address them and you know when when you talk to someone I've A person at a conference came up and said: I am gay and I believe in gay marriage. What do you say about it? And I said to that person: Well, I'm a Christian and I start with the Bible. You know what he said. I don't believe in the Bible, don't give me that stuff, and over the years many people have said to me, what do you do when people don't believe in the Bible?
Well, here's the problem if you give up the Bible you have. You gave up your foundation, so when they tell me I don't believe in the Bible, you know what I tell them, well, I do and then I say, Why don't you believe in the Bible? It's because of what they have been taught. At school you believe that science is learned through the Bible, in a way you provoke them because you know what they have been taught. How do you decide what is right and what is wrong? Why should someone else decide what is right and what is wrong?
As? You know what you're saying is true, what do you believe about where you come from? If you don't take the battle to the fundamental level, you will never succeed up here and that's the bottom line because people trust. in man that is why we have all these problems, we must do our best to point people to the word of God so that they trust the word of God and then build their thinking on the word of God. Well, what I told you today in more detail. it's in the book divided nation and like I said all of his illustrations are there and you can download them to go and teach the message yourself, a book that follows that gospel, reset how to evangelize a foundation changing culture and we have some other books that exist in the glass house all the classic arguments for evolution used in schools and universities refute my son-in-law and I put together that one of our new non-controversial books the gender war and marriage everything we could think of there and This It's about family and a lot of testimony and how the roles of men and women are raised from godly children.
Did I tell you we need staff and answers in genesis? And with that I thank you for the invitation to speak with you. and I will return it to whoever closes
