Apple AirPods 2 (2019) - NOT Worth Buying?

My name is Brandon and today we're going to be unboxing and reviewing Apple's new Earpods 2, so of course the Air Pods were announced last week and it's really like an update to the Ear Pods 1, it's not really a big update. . the first generation air pods, but there are some really big changes that will really make a difference in everyday use. We'll talk about all that in this video. We'll also talk about if not they are

or if you should just pick them up even if you didn't win them so we'll talk about all that in this video so let's go ahead and get into the unboxing you can see here that the box it looks pretty much exactly the same as the air pods box, except on the back it says we now have air pods with wireless charging case, so let's go ahead and open these guys up.

Upstairs we just have a little bit of plastic to remove here and there we finally go, so it's a little bit difficult to unpack, not too difficult, but it's definitely a lot sturdier than the iPhones. I wish they would make this as easy to unbox as the iPhones but anyway here are the air pots we'll take the lid off so we can see what we've presented right away okay so you can see the first thing we open the box is a little booklet here that says designed. for Apple and California, if we take it away, you can see we have our floss, I mean our air capsules; sitting there, let's go and take that guy out and see if we find anything else in this box here, so it looks like lightning. cable too and that'll be it inside the box, we'll take a quick look at these brochures and then we'll move on to the

airpods

, so no Apple stickers, basically just some more information and also the Quick Start Guide right here.

I'm just looking for some kind of mention of airpower in this brochure because I feel like there will be some kind of mention of wireless charging using a platform like airpower, so I didn't find any mention of airpower in the brochure, but just for the sake of it. Fun fact from the box, we get a brief mention of air power, which is interesting because, again, we don't have that product yet anyway, let's go ahead and put the box aside and talk about air pods, in Compared to the air pods, but of course before we talk about them, we need to remove the plastic and I'll give you a moment of silence so you can hear this beautiful sound, which is the sound of the fresh air pods.

And man, these things feel a little sticky, it feels very cool, it feels a little different than the Air Pods case and that may just be because it's new, but I noticed it right away and of course the first thing I you will notice. the outside that has changed from the air pods one to the air pots two is the little light over there because this is the wireless charging case over here so we have a little LED light on the outside to indicate if we're charging or if we're fully charged and If we go ahead and open these guys up, you can see that we have a white LED indicator that basically tells us that we need to pair our phone with it, so I'm going to go ahead and unlock my phone real quick and there you have it.

As you can see, the connection screen appears, the little airpods animation appears and we just have to click connect. One thing they should keep in mind is that they must be on iOS 12.2 to take full advantage of all the features of the Air Pods: Now, of course, these are Bluetooth headphones, so you'll still be able to use them regardless of your iOS version, but you won't be able to use them like Siri and you know a lot of things. the other features inside the airpods, unless you're updated, 12.2 ice, let's go and click connect and you can see how quickly they pair right there, so you'll see it says Brandon's Airpods, number two that I didn't name.

That should know that I already have headphones, so I went ahead and named them number two, which is great and you can see that they also come with some charge, so let's go ahead and click Done and before we get anything. Also, I just want to tell you about the price because I know a lot of people ask me about this and it's a little confusing for some people, but the Air Pods are the same price as the first-gen Air Pause at $159, but if you want the wireless charging case go along with the Air Pods, that will cost you $1.99, that's what I have here and of course if you're happy with your first-gen Air Pods, you can pick up the wireless charging case right here . for $79, so yeah, as far as the design of the air pods goes: they are pretty much the exact same design as the air pods, the only difference will be the LED light on the outside of the wireless charging case here on the airpods, but the airpods themselves, just like the real airpods that sit in your ears, are exactly the same, now you won't be able to tell the difference.

One thing I did notice about the wireless charging case is that it looks like the little notch here where the earbuds go, as you can see right there, which seems to be a little bigger here on the air pods - at least the wireless charging case , I should say not the air pods - this is the wireless charging case again, you can get this for the Air Pods too, but the little notch seems to be a little bigger, but other than that everything is the same, we just don't have the LED light in the middle right there when you open it. on the outside occasionally on the back you can see that the button is a little higher than the reset button which is a little higher on the wireless charging case compared to the original case of the Air Pods and, of course, at the bottom we have the Lightning port. in both and, of course, we have wireless charging with the air pods;

Thanks to the wireless charging case which again you can use with the Air Pods, you can also purchase the wireless charging case separately and you can use it with any Qi wireless device. charger now I'm going to use the samsung galaxy s 10 e with the new power sharing option that has the new feature and we're just going to put the airpods on top and you can see it. It starts charging immediately thanks to the orange LED indicator on the outside, we can see that it is indeed charging and will turn green when fully charged, so it is a bit strange to use a Samsung phone to charge the airpods. so far but of course again it works with any wireless charger, of course we're still winning on air power because it's going to be great for charging the airpods, and that now internal wireless charging case is where we're really going to notice the difference between the air pods, and the air pods, in the air pods, we now have Apple's new h1 chip which will give us some interesting benefits over the first generation air pods, so it's not just the air pods that can be paired. faster than your phone and stuff like that, but they also have 30% lower latency, which will be great for people who play games and, you know, watch videos and the audio doesn't sync, you'll also be able to switch between devices. twice as fast and we also get 50% more talk time on a single charge here on the airpods, compared to the current airpods.

I admit that when I first heard about all these new improvements at the keynote, I didn't really think there would be a huge difference, but man, the difference in speed is definitely noticeable right away, as always, from the first time I put them on and I used them, I could notice a difference in speed, now we also have support for Siri with the airpods, which are going to be very useful, what I can already say is that I used them briefly and they work very well, but I can't wait to use them in real life scenarios, like when I'm in the supermarket and I need to call someone.

I need to be able to, you know, not have my hands outstretched. I need to be able to have my hands on the car or whatever and be able to do it from my Air Pod, so I'll report back on that. I'll probably do another follow up review after this one, you know, using the air break after two weeks. I'll talk about battery life and stuff like that too, but it's changing the sound quality of the airpods anyway, unfortunately. At first they sound the same as the first generation Air Pods, when I first put them in I thought they sounded better, then I put the old Air Pods back in and they were pretty much the same again, so it's basically a placebo for me until Put the old airpods back in and then I realized that the difference in quality was practically zero, so unfortunately we won't have more bass and airpods or anything like that, it will have the same sound quality. like the air pots which I will say isn't bad the sound quality isn't terrible it's just not as good as something like the galaxy buzz or you know other headphones out there now as far as battery life goes , as I mentioned before.

You get 50% more talk time with each charge and a total battery life of over 24 hours, which is simply amazing. I love that you won't need to charge your Air Pods, but maybe once a week if that, but I love it even more. The excellent battery life is how quickly these Air Pods charge, the case charges so you can get three hours of listening time or two hours of talk time with just 15 minutes of charging, which is super impressive and although the battery is basically the same as the first one. Jin air pods the air pods battery: It will be newer, of course, and will not wear out, so you will definitely notice better battery life on a daily basis.

Personally, I can already do it, although I've only used them for about an hour now, so yes, as I mentioned before, when it comes to gaming latency, battery life after knowing several days and weeks of use and also using Hey Siri in the real world and more detailed things like that, be sure to stay tuned for My Review Two Weeks After the Air Pods where I'll cover how they've performed for me after about 14 days, but yeah, overall, I am very excited about the Air Pods; They seem to be a pretty promising over-the-air update. pods one again, it's more like the air pods 1, it's just that many of you know the performance and a lot of internal changes, but I'm here for it.

it. to upgrade to airpods: With the wireless charging case, the full $199 upgrade, you know you can sell your airpods and get back at least half of that, so it really won't be a big investment for you, but you'll notice the difference in speed, battery life and they will have these features, these new features and things like that, it will be a good upgrade even for you and of course if you don't have any airpods, I would definitely recommend it. the airpods - they're great, I use them, you know, the original headphones that I used every day for several years, so definitely, great headphones, obviously, you need an iPhone to take full advantage of all the connectivity features.

Things like that, you can also sync your iPads and Macs and things like that, if you have the same Apple ID, you'll automatically know that these Air Pods will be in use and it's easy to pair. to your Mac, your iPad, if you have the same Apple ID, but of course, like I said before, they're Bluetooth headphones, so they'll work on Android or something, you just won't get all the features, so yeah, there you got it.
