DAILY LIFE FOR A COLLEGE STUDENT // Sophomore Year

Good morning guys, I haven't filmed in over six months. The last video you saw posted. I actually filmed it about six or seven months ago and never posted it. But this is the current footage, it's January 2023. The last six months. It's been hard, but I've felt everyone's prayers, a lot of therapy, a lot of writing, I've written a lot and it's helped me a lot and I'm ready to start sharing my

life

again so I thought today I would film a day in my

life

um, Wednesdays are the busiest for sure and today is Wednesday so it's 6:55 in the morning, I'm dressed, I brushed my teeth, I haven't gotten ready yet, my roommate has a class before me, so that I left her.

Get ready first, so I'll probably make something like something for lunch, which is really just a bunch of random fruit bags and then some protein bars for breakfast. I usually make oatmeal and add chia seeds, a little cottage cheese, some Aunt Julie. homemade yogurt and then peanut butter and jelly it looks disgusting without anything added and it honestly doesn't taste much better with it it's healthy the lunch is packed I'm still not ready yet, I'll prepare in a moment, but every morning I try to read my Scriptures, sorry, it's blue because I have my plant light on, so it's a little weird, it looks scary.

I try to read my scriptures every day before I go to school. My goal this

year

is to read the New Testament. All the way I just finished Matthew um and then of course I'm also reading the Book of Mormon so I spend maybe 15 to 20 minutes on it. Okay, now I'm going to get ready. I'm using the Heritage hot brush. For my skin care I just started using beauty first aid and it has helped me a lot. I love all their products so I'm going to put on some makeup and then yeah it's like 7:30 right now which means I'll be ready I'll have a little time to relax before I go my first class is at nine and I start warming up my car around 8 25. um just so the snow melts okay I'm all set for the day it's 7 51 so I have about 30 minutes to relax.

I've been rereading The Lord of the Rings. In the morning is the only time I have to read. It's snowing outside. I'm sick of waking up to snow outside. I never thought I'd say it but it's Utah there's so much snow it's always on the cars luckily I try to get there before it turns to ice but then you start driving and all the snow falls from above so this is the The worst part of my day, every day, just cleaning up the snow. Okay, I'm heading to school. My car has been getting hot. I'm only a three-minute drive from campus, but I can't ride my bike in this weather.

Yes, parking is a little crazy. at BYU um, I have to park so far away, it would basically take the same time to walk to class from here, but we're going to drive anyway. My class starts in 25 minutes. My first class is a religion class about the living prophets in our church. don't cover it today um and I'm literally gone 6 45 tonight so wish me luck. I don't know where to look when I'm filming with my phone. I think the camera was there for the last

I owned it. I climbed these stairs almost every day there are 109 stairs I think it hasn't gotten any easier I still sound like I'm dying when I get to the upper class I just left um it's now around 10 o'clock the next two hours always They're my favorites of the day because I don't have class so I just go to the library I can do my homework um yeah, it's super quiet and it's always crazy as the period goes by for people who go to class.

I will show you the chaos I desire. I was taller so I could see over people or at least see where I'm going instead of looking at people's backpacks. I wonder what it would be like, I can usually find an open table. I still feel weird talking a lot. in the library um, so for the next two hours I'll do some homework. I'll start lunch. I don't know which camera to look at. There are two. The library is usually quite full. Sometimes I go to the silent section, but. sometimes it's too quiet um my next class is in two and a half hours it's my sociology on race and ethnicity it's been one of my favorite classes it's like online it's uplifting um and I've really enjoyed it so now doing some homework I'm working on editing the first video I've edited in about six months.

I'm using a new program, so wish me luck. Well, I'm done editing. I discovered new software that I don't actually have as homework. what to do right now um so I'm going to grade some papers for class ida4 um we have a meeting like all the Tas this afternoon um and we're supposed to have half of our grades done and I don't have half of my grades like this that I'll do that, yeah, okay, it's time for my race and ethnicity class, my eyes are glassy. I've been in the library for a few hours. I edited a video.

I worked on a religion project. I asked Sheen for some clothes, her and me. I don't know how to say it, all my friends are obsessed with it. Now let's go to my class. The teacher does not allow technology. We are required to take notes on paper. You know, whatever my feelings are about it. I admit the class is more engaged, so that's a positive side. Class ended, we talked a lot about convict leasing which is something I wasn't aware of, it's not really taught, I think in schools it's heartbreaking, so now I refilled my water.

Let's go to Urban and Local Politics it's my last official class of the day um many times political science focuses on the national government um and this is the class that talks a lot about city politics, so it's new and very interesting content Urban The politics is over, we talked about the housing crisis of the 1960s and 1990s, it's so intriguing, it's about 3:30 and now I have office hours, so in ita4 class there is a lot of writing, so I'm on office hours for the next hour and a half for people to come ask for help with their writing and then I have my work meeting, such a long day I'm like running through smoke, I'm like, oh, okay, I can get through it, I've eaten all my snacks, I'm starving and I'm ready to go home to get help for dinner, so I'm watching YouTube videos of my aunt talking about her OB/GYN appointment and I'm dying of laughter and I put on some stairs on people passing by, at least I get paid for this so that's cool, I don't know how many times I do this in a video.

I don't do it in person only when I film. A

student

came to ask for help. Alright. I have another 30 minutes before my meeting to grade. jobs with 10 Tas in the class and trying to like Norm on all of them is very difficult. We have this super convoluted spreadsheet that, like everything, is graded twice and then if there's a big difference between the two grades and a third person. which is very confusing but I love it. I love being a technical assistant. That's my job for the last six months. This is a different class than the one I taught last semester.

But I love it and I think I will do it. It's for the rest of the university, okay, I'm on my way to our meeting, it's in the department conference room, it's an hour and a half, but at least there are swivel chairs with wheels, so that makes it a little more bearable , super sticky and very sticky. delicious, delicious, that meeting was too long, now it's like 6:40. So I can finally go home. I have some pasta and cooked vegetables that I can heat up very quickly. I'm going to go home, relax and watch my favorite show. which is One Tree Hill.

I've really gotten into this, it's really embarrassing, luckily I'm not alone on campus. I'll probably do a nighttime routine later in the semester. I feel very uncomfortable. Thank you all very much for watching
