story a long time ago, not many years after the United States became its own country, much of the forests, mountains and rivers had not been discovered, there was a vast area where natives and animals lived and It was still fresh, dangerous and wild. New Americans were curious about this land and wanted to know what plants and animals were there and, most importantly, how they could travel through it to get to the other side of the country at that time. President Thomas Jefferson, but all this land of France, asked one of his assistants Meriwether Lewis to embark on an adventure and discover this new land, it would be a dangerous mission, but Lewis was brave and bold and loved to discover new places.

He asked his friend, Lieutenant William Clark, to accompany him, so they gathered their equipment and supplies into a boat and headed downriver on their daring adventure to discover this unexplored a few years before this, a little Indian girl was born. It was terrifying. It was a scary time for Sacagawea and she missed her family. She didn't know if she would see them again when they lifted her onto her horse and ran. A few years later, Sacagawea was sold to a trapper named Charbonneau and later became his wife. A trapper is someone who traps animals and lives by selling their skins and meat. This is the part of our story where Lewis and Clark meet Sacagawea who they met on their adventure they would need someone who knew the land and the language so when they met Sacagawea and her husband they knew they would be a perfect fit not long after they left .

Sacagawea knew their language and kept Lewis and Clark safe throughout their journey, they met some Indians and asked them if they could trade horses at first, the Indians didn't trade, suddenly Sacagawea recognized them, they were the Shoshone, they relieved to her people, from whom she had been kidnapped so long ago and the leader was her brother, she was happy when she saw her friends and family. so long and she was finally with them again after celebrating, she helped Lewis and Clark trade some of their things for horses and although she was sad to leave her family, they were on their way again, she had a new family and a new mission to finally fulfill.
After many days they reached the Pacific Ocean, at the end of their journey with the help of Sacagawea. Lewis and Clark had traveled throughout America. Along the way they learned new things about plants and animals and created maps that would help other American pioneers. She travels around the country as Sacagawea. You can help others and be brave even when you are not sure what your journey will be like. You can also be strong even when sad or difficult things happen to you. It's okay to feel sad, but always remember. that after you have let out all your feelings you can get back up, continue and learn something new, no matter what happens, there is always hope and good things can come if you keep moving forward.
