Chevy Bolt Review | Top 5/Bottom 5 Likes and Dislikes.

Hey guys, this is CO2-free rum, so we've had the Chevy Bolt for about a week. We're about to hit 800 miles on the odometer and I want to talk about the five things I really like about the Chevy Bolt and beyond. I'm going to talk about the five things I don't like about the Chevy Bolt, so the first is, it's fun to drive, so the torque the instant you hit the pedal and go makes it really fun to drive, the who brakes with a single pedal is driving. when you press the accelerator it goes away or when you let go it breaks, I rarely put my foot on the brake anymore and sometimes when I need a little more braking, what makes this car nice is the paddle brake on the left. and I talked about that in a previous video, so another thing that makes this car fun to drive is the handling, you know, the engineers at Chevy really dialed in the steering wheel play, it's for scrolling, it's perfect and it has the adequate sensitivity for a vehicle of this size, so the second thing I like is its size, this is what is called a subcompact and what I really like about it is that you can really move it around town.

Hassle-free parking spaces to park in my home garage, it's very easy, but what is it? It's something unique about this vehicle, even though it's a subcompact, you can fit four people in this vehicle comfortably and, I'm not exaggerating, I mean, in some cases, you can even fit five people in the car, but four comfortably, safely, so the The third thing I like about the Chevy Bolt is its range. It has an estimated range of 259 miles. Obviously, that will be under optimal conditions. so far number one the seats now although the seats look good they look good they feel like you are sleeping on a firm mattress and I use the term mattress for a reason because I have had some comments from people I say, I love how good the seats feel.

Maybe they are some of the weird people who like to sleep on wood because these seats are not comfortable, they are very, very firm, unless you like a firm ride and you like a firm bed, no. I'm going to like the Chevy Bolt seats now I'm in the LT, which are the cloth seats. The leather on the premiere may be a little softer, but if you get a lt with the cloth seats, you better be prepared to like a firm ride, I mean. It's not miserable but they're not very wide either so if you're a big person you're not going to like the lt because your body will spill over the top of the seats here around your lap muscles okay second thing while I'm talking about the interior seats, the Chevy interior could have done a better job with the fit and finish of the interior.

I really don't like this diamond pattern design. I don't even know what you would call it, that's what I call it. It has a diamond pattern, it feels weird, it looks weird, the doors feel sticky and flimsy when you open and close them. The third thing I don't like about the Chevy Bolt is that it is front wheel drive. an electric vehicle that was rear wheel drive and when you stop on the pedal and get that instant rear wheel drive torque they don't turn as bad as these front wheel drive when I have any spin on my front wheels and hit it they will lose traction every time.

I actually did a 0-60 uh road test not too long ago and hit it right away and spun the wheels so I probably don't know if it's front wheel drive. or if it's the tires or a combination of both, but I don't like the front wheel drive of the chevy

, so the fourth thing I don't like about the chevy bolt is the lack of a navigation system integrated into the infotainment now for Your Apple Defense carplay is installed so if you just plug your phone in you will have it so I guess I can be a little picky but I wish it had a GPS or a navigation system and number five and probably my biggest complaint and my biggest My biggest fear, especially if I'm taking this vehicle on long road trips, is its real lack of fast charging.

Now we got a lt with the upgraded fast charging fast quote, but as I've learned, if we're going to say a Charge America that has a fast charging capability of 150 kilowatts, the Chevy Bolt has reduced the incoming charging speed to no more than 55 kilowatts and I'm reading that a lot of people don't get more than 37 to 40 kilowatts depending on ambient temperature and a few other things, so Chevy really needs to do a better job of allowing these vehicles to charge faster if they want people to charge them. Adopt more and can use them at long distance.

I'm not going to drive across America alone. getting a 37 to 45 kilowatt charging rate is simply not practical and will add a lot more time to my commute. I'd rather pay the extra money on a gas vehicle, which really defeats the purpose of getting an EV now, although I just gave you five negatives about the Chevy Bolt. Would I buy the Bolt again? I would definitely buy it. I would buy two of them if I could. Chevy has made a big hit with this vehicle, especially considering the price now. I was lucky. enough to get the three thousand dollar Costco D membership discount and my local dealer was really trying to sell them so I realized the deal I got probably isn't going to be the same deal you can get now when you're looking at this. because twenty one thousand six hundred dollars for what I have now is really amazing, but even with twenty four thousand dollars to say that's what you had to pay for a new one, I would do it, so in conclusion, top five, number one , it's just fun to drive number two its size number three the battery range for all the safety features that comes with it and best of all the price twenty one thousand six hundred dollars now let's talk about the
