5 Niche Sites That Will Totally Fail

Mar 28, 2024
I decided that today I would reinforce some blogger stereotypes, so I woke up to Bed Head and I'm going with it today. You know, we're talking about five types of bloggers who

will

completely

fail

. I've been doing a lot of Specialty Site Inquiries for those of you who have purchased Specialty Sites are great and by the way, thank you. I'm really excited to see so many blogs take off and get off on the right foot, but a couple of people asked me: what are some things you can do to make sure your site is successful, like what we've seen work? good for people and what's not, so let's talk about it.
5 niche sites that will totally fail
This is number one. I was doing some research and found out that another blog is already doing the same thing as me. and when I see this in an email I think, oh no, that's

totally

understandable if it's your first website, but what's usually behind it when I see this in an email is that someone lacks confidence in their ability to beat to someone else to get a website that is better and really looking for something and that can really hold you back as a blogger because there is no good

niche

that doesn't have a website or content, some are more competitive than others but every

niche

has competition Just a couple of weeks ago Ricky and I bought dirtbike planet.com it used to be called dirt bike tips and picks and changed it to dirtbike planet, it's by no means the first dirt bike website out there, there are many others. blogs, but we felt like the competition was something that we could easily take on very low competition in that niche, so we went after it and you know, I have a website in the photography space, yeah, it's a lot more competitive. if you're in if you're in photography fitness personal finance I had yeah, recipes, wow, those are very difficult niches to get into nowadays, if you started several years ago you'd probably be fine, but starting them today is not something I would probably do. because they are very competitive, but to just go out and see another website that has the same content, the same type of content as you, it seems kind of strange, it's just no big deal, there are millions of web

sites

around the world. on the Internet and you're just going to do things a little bit differently, you're going to type in some keywords that they won't find, you're going to do things that they won't do, you'll have products that they won't find. you have and your smart person can do this so don't be afraid if you find it number two.

More Interesting Facts About,

5 niche sites that will totally fail...

In fact, I have another idea for a site I'm working on. This is the one that worries me the most when someone says you know. They ship like their niche, they start, they work and it's okay to have tons of ideas that start flying, but once you decide on your niche, you have to follow it to the end, as many times as you know, two or three weeks after starting site school niche. it's a 60 day program to create your blog, you know, two or three weeks and then someone says, I'm not so sure I've thought of another one, so I guess I might move on to that and I always send them the same email.
5 niche sites that will totally fail
Hey, you know you can do that, but after years of working with people on their blogs, I can say that if you do this, your site

will

crash. You can only work on one site at a time when it's in that early stage right now. I'm working on dirtbike planet.com, that's what I'm working on now. I have many other web

sites

that I have already created successfully, so I need to maintain them and do projects on them too, but one new site at a time. time until it's successful, once it's successful you start another one, that's a benefit that Ricky and I have, that I can be working in one place and he can be working in another right now.
5 niche sites that will totally fail
Ricky is just getting started with the freedom of the cabin, calm down and I'm working. on planet Dirt Bike, calm down and we're going to work on those sites until they're successful and then we can do the next thing. Oh, and if that's you, I implore you to log into your Bluehost account. now and delete them, delete them on all sites except the one site you are working to build once that site is successful and you have an income, well, start another passive income stream. Great, I collect them as Pokémon cards, but until their website becomes successful. one side of time, okay, here's the next one.
I want my site to be like a community. Oh, I wouldn't do this and I wouldn't do this, and the reason I wouldn't do this is because social media is absolutely killing it. killing the blogging industry and if you waste your time on it, I promise it will set your website back sometimes for years. The evidence for this is improved photography and I am so grateful for the social media following and all that improved photography has become. proud of it, glad for it, but I started that website eight years ago, so if I started today I would do it very differently.
You know, we have over a million people following me on social media for photography. Is incredible. I'm really grateful for that, but guess what percentage of traffic to better photography comes from Facebook? Less than 2 percent, less than 2 percent of traffic, so I do spend 50 percent of my day commenting on things and linking to things. and stuff, I'm working 50 percent of my time on 2 percent of the traffic, so I'm ignoring the majority of the people who visit the website, so what I would suggest today is not to build a community, not with a niche site if you are trying to build in a community, it is not by definition a niche site or a passive site at least this is an active site that you are building and that is not what we want, we want to generate passive income, There is nothing wrong with an authority site, I think it has its place, but what we are talking about is a specialized website, so don't start a Facebook page, don't start Twitter, etc., the only ones I think that could be worth your time are YouTube and Pinterest, those could be worth it and send good traffic and sales to a website.
Well, I'm not sure there are enough people interested and this is one we've been getting. Lots of questions since we did our video on keyword tools, how we don't use any keyword tools other than good old Google, but another one I found is great, it's called reply to public communication, you can go there and I just type dirt bike and it gives me a bunch of questions that people have asked about dirt bikes and that can help me find ideas to investigate further, but the problem here is trying to estimate the search volume, none of the tools do this. accurately or even close to accurately, then what we find is someone is using a keyword research tool and they say, I don't know how I did that. um, you know, they look up why you wear knee pads and ride a dirt bike and they say. oh, this just has to know that people do five searches a month and therefore they don't write the article and miss a really good opportunity or, on the contrary, they say oh, this keyword looks amazing and doesn't contribute anything .
What I found works best is just use your intuition if it seems like a reasonable query, a reasonable question that someone is asking, then go ahead and write the article, let's say that article only attracts 500 people a month or 100 people a month to your website, it's kind of a small article, only 100 people. one month you're going to click on this even if you're number one on Google, well what do you know? If you bring in a hundred people a month for five years, that's 6,000 people who came to your website after 40 minutes of work. 6,000 people came to the door and I have the potential to make money now, that's incredibly cool, so definitely write this, don't worry about the search volume, if this seems like a reasonable query to you, have someone google this writing, it's good.
I've written seven product reviews this week. is someone who is too eager to make money off the website and so writes tons of product reviews, has tons of links to Amazon everywhere, just filling this website with Amazon links and if you do that, the people who They come to it and feel like spam. on your website, they won't trust what you say and they won't feel like it's valuable content, so they'll bounce and go back to Google, which was assigned to Google that this wasn't great quality. Content looks very spammy to Google when you have so many links, which is why we like to have a balance of one and thirty; your posts only answer the questions people have on the web; a third is kind of big pillar content that can be shared, like how to or how to write a dirt bike and I write this 4000 word post on how the clutch works, whether to use the handbrake or the footbrake and what pads you need, how to get on a dirt bike, like a big pillar or something. very shareable, like the top 21 tips to go faster on the dirt bike track, so the mainstay pulse and then just a third of the content should really make money.
This is like 15 things you'll need to buy after you get your first dirt. bike, you're going to need to buy all these pads, you're going to need to buy them on Spark arrester or whatever else you're going to need, so those are money, those are posts that are really targeted. to make money from people and send them to Amazon so I can get my commission and usually what I'll do is in those two thirds that are the big pillar and just answering people's little questions. other items, so bring them to the door by just answering the question and then I say I'll mention that these are my favorite dirt bike products.
They go to that publication. They find value. They go to Amazon and I get a commission. That's all.
