kitchen

, and I still breathe making furniture like they have, you know, waxes and a lot of them remove all that so the paint will stick, so our favorite product for this is K'rud Kutter. you should be able to Find a link in the description K'rud Kutter is amazing because not only does it really clean and degrease the surface, but it will also take away some of that shine and allow it to stick and then yeah, that's really important too. all ready to go and when you know if you feel like it's sticky, do it again, but make sure you rinse this off.

The other thing we did was tape around the

cabinets

because we are using super light brushes. I like to use regular duct tape, this is the Duck brand, and I like it because it's like two dollars or something and it sticks really well and you don't need the six dollar blue tape. This works fine. Two inch duct tape, so there we are. These are actually faux drawer fronts. Look, they don't move, but what you're going to do is put your fingers behind them. There are different types of accessories here. This particular type you just pop out and then pull it out you're just going to squeeze there are other types that are more like a wing and you just twist it and then it'll come out but you definitely want to pull them out and then finish around it and then and once it's dry , I always pour my

chalk

paint into regular plastic containers, it gives me something to work with so here we go, this is the chalk paint and people always ask me if I paint the inside of cabinets.

You can, if you want, I think it's a lot of work for nothing. I look at the way the cabinet was originally finished and it was only finished up to here, so I just taped the inside of the cabinet and that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to get this border, but nothing on the inside, so let's get started. I have this chalk brush. You can use any type of chalk brush. This one is a little bigger. I think I bought it at Lowe's, but I'm just going to start painting, you can really. I mean, people do this in different ways.

I tend to follow the grain. I think it's going to be, you know, I need or look at the end, but this will require two coats because it's a little bit light. a little darker color, so we're going to continue applying a good first coat. I went ahead and taped these little bits here so my brush doesn't hit them, but as you can see, I'm going to stop here at this edge. One of the things I liked most about chalk paint is that it dries very quickly. I literally just painted the inside about ten minutes ago.
It's totally dry, maybe fifteen, and I can close it and now I can work on the front. This saves so much time that you don't have to take the doors off and you don't have to wait for the inside to dry before you can or long before you can take the outside off, so I literally think it was a minute. Amazing, we had a little change of plans, so it turns out that the reason I burned the ivory was too yellow, now the ivory will cover the ground, that's why we decided, but what we realized was when we started putting the second.
The layer that I had was too yellow, yeah, it turned out okay, so we have white appliances, we have a white trim and a white door next to this and when we started putting that second layer on and it started to turn yellow, it formed this whole thing. white. around and made it look dirty, so what we wanted to do and what we should have done was make a full sample of something like you know, and then hold it up and then see what it looks like, but it's no big deal, we had to put a second layer anyway, so now, if you're going to use white London folk art, there's a little correction here and now we're going to understand that we decided to add another step and I want to tell you about that because I just realized that I wanted do this so with chalk paint it's thick and it makes a lot of lines with the brush so what we did and then of course you're going to get drips because it's a little heavy so we decided What to do is add in this step of using a mouse-type sander.
There are a couple different ones that I like. We'll put links in the description of each of them for different prices, but what it does is narrow this down. to a very very polished finish, so the end result will be very professional, so you get the idea, this is basically it, now you are going to advance in some areas and you will have to touch it up, but it is worth it to get a very slick finish and then stay with us and we'll show you how to finish this. What do you think we got our second third?
And it was not so. Not everything was so bad. We took this home for four to five dollars, which it really is. Not bad, so four people were alone and they had a

kitchen

a little bigger than this. I would say it would take two days and then we'll put some clear wax on it. Below we will show you those things. then we're done, we're ready to seal the cabinets and today we're going to use valves to seal wax. This is very clear, so we'll just use normal brushes anyway. I have this little brush. here it has a short handle.
I like how it feels. If we can find it we'll put a link in the description and then tell you it's just using so yeah you can actually use what everyone is okay so I've shaken it up. something really good and I'm going to pour a little bit here and it comes out white as you can see, but it's going to dry very light, so we finish the whole bottom row and we put the accessories back in and now All we have to do is these here , so we won't bore you with the whole process, but basically you just dip the brush in maybe I don't know a third or a half and then you brush it super simply. super

easy

, I would say do at least two coats.
Chalk paint is very chalky, of course, and porous, so it won't resist stains, so this part is really important. Chalk paint adheres very well to the surface, but it is water soluble and will. it holds up to stains so that's basically it we're going to go ahead and put the hardware in and that's it.
