More Interesting Facts About,

who is herobrine...

We need to go back to 2010. Today, Minecraft is an extremely popular game, in fact, it is the most popular game of all time per unit sold. Part of the reason is that Mojang. It is now owned by Microsoft and has quite a few resources to devote to development. Every new version of Minecraft comes with announcement videos, fan votes, and a lot of preparation, but it wasn't always like this, it could be easy to forget that Minecraft. It started out as a passion project from a single developer called Notch, there wasn't massive corporate support, instead it was a much tighter knit community of people playing this new indie game about exploring and placing blocks, there was a lot we didn't know about it.

Minecraft was too. much more basic back then in my opinion the atmosphere had a distinctly eerie mood, there was no rtx, there were no effects, even softly lit knights couldn't be scary, especially before enemies like the creeper were As well known as they are today, there were all kinds. of bugs and strange glitches, but that was to be expected, the game was still in alpha after all, Notch was constantly updating the game and players didn't always know or bother to read about the things that had changed. Minecraft had this aura, some mystery. about not always knowing what you would find when you started a new world, i think all players should go back to those alpha versions in the launcher sometimes to see what it was like now imagine it's the only minecraft you've ever known up to this point.

Now that we have the settings set up, let's talk about the first recorded reference to herobrine in August 2010, a user posted an image with a text explanation, the version is alpha 1.162, so we know it was after August 13, 2010 Let's go ahead and read the text of the first known encounter with Herobrine I had recently generated a new world in Minecraft for single player everything was normal at first when I started cutting down trees and creating a workbench I noticed something moving in the dense fog I have. a very slow computer so I have to play with a small render distance.
I thought it was a cow, so I chased it, hoping to grab some skins to make myself some armor. It wasn't a cow, although looking at me was another character with a predetermined skin, but his eyes were empty. I didn't see any names appear and I double checked to make sure I wasn't in multiplayer. He didn't stay long, he looked quickly at me and ran into the fog. I chased after him out of curiosity, but she was gone. I continued with the game. I'm not sure what to think as I expanded the world, I saw things that seemed out of place for the random map generator to make tunnels two by two in the rocks, perfect little pyramids made of sand in the ocean, and groves of trees with all its cut leaves.
I constantly thought I saw the other player deep in the fog, but I never got a better look at him. I tried increasing my render distance every time I thought I saw it, but to no avail, I saved the map and went to the forums. to see if anyone else had found the pseudo player, there wasn't one, I created my own topic talking about the man and asking if anyone had a similar experience, the post was deleted within five minutes, I tried again and the topic was deleted even faster , I received a pm from username herobrine containing a word stop when I went to view herobrine's profile on page 404.
I received an email from another user, he stated that mods can read forum users' posts, so So we were safer using email, the sender of the email claimed that he had also seen the mystery player and had a small directory of other users who had also seen him. His worlds were also full of obviously man-made features and his mysterious player was described as having no pupils. It was about a month before I heard from my informant. Once again, some of the people who had encountered the mystery man had researched the name herobrine and discovered that a Swedish player frequently used the name.
After gathering more information, it was revealed that he was the brother of Notch, the game's developer. I emailed Notch personally. and I asked him if he had a brother. It took him a while, but he emailed me back with a very short message. I did, but he is no longer with us. I haven't seen the mystery man since our first meeting and I haven't noticed. any change in the world other than mine I was able to press print screen when I first saw it here is the only evidence of its existence this image has been etched in my mind since I first saw it a ghostly figure stands in the fog as described by the user, its story is a chilling story.
Herobrine was responsible for the pyramids and tunnels in his world. Notch had programmed this character as a friend, an adversary, or something else that no one really knew, although the image sparked speculation. There was another. event that dumped gasoline on it a streamer named copeland posted an image in his chat with herobrine giving additional evidence of its existence the image at first looks normal showing a nice house on a cliff but if we look closer we can see herobrine standing under a A few days after posting the image, Copland was live streaming Minecraft. He had been playing for a while before something strange suddenly happened.
Unfortunately, this is not the original broadcast that was lost in time, but is a recreation and as a result, we cannot hear the live reactions to being surprised by Herobrine. We must also be careful not to overanalyze the images in this video. We can have a rough idea of what happened after the sighting. Copland cut the broadcast and then uploaded the video. to the Minecraft forums, I know this is a long shot, but if any of you have that video, please let me know. Copland returned to the house a few hours later, but Herobrine was gone, deleting the world, and vowing never to play. again with that evidence of herobrine's existence was starting to grow now there was multiple evidence from different people several other streamers started watching it too the most famous example is patamus while streaming he saw herobrine in a lava field the live stream was cut off and when he came back herobrine was gone, unfortunately we don't have a video of that at the time either, copeland was putting links in his chat to a website called him.html which contained a creepy video of steve with human eyes underneath that was kinda split .
The text, which, once sorted, reads as follows, it has been reported that some victims of torture during the act retreated into a fantasy world from which they could not awaken in this catatonic state. The victim lived in a world just like normal, except they were not being tortured, the only way they realized they needed to wake up was a note they found in their fantasy world that would inform them of their condition and tell them to wake up. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready. to discard your fantasy world and please wake up well, most of you probably already know this, but now is probably a good time to say it.
These transmissions and images were false. Panama was overheard telling his wife that he was trolling everyone shortly after Copland's broadcast took place. that his encounter with herobrine was real until 2012 when he explained how he retextured a painting with herobrine and pretended to trip over it on the livestream. There is an interview online where he goes over his thought process and answers some interesting questions. I'll put a link. in the description, if you're curious in retrospect, it's obvious they were fake and it's easy to laugh at people for believing it, but you have to remember what I said before.
Minecraft was a mysterious game that the community didn't know for sure. was false, although some people admitted it, I certainly didn't find out until much later, the myth had grown too big as a gamer, I knew that all of that probably wasn't real, however, when I explored the desolate worlds of minecraft in the Deep Down my mind was wondering if Herobrine really exists, surely I wouldn't say it, but I really knew for sure and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. If you were playing back then, then you know what. I'm talking about there was a pretty good chance it was real.
I couldn't get Herobrine out of my mind. I will say that I didn't follow Notch on Twitter. If he was, I would have seen him tweet that Herobrine was real. Not real August 31, 2010. In fact, Notch doesn't even have a brother, according to another tweet posted a few months later, he also stated that there were no plans to add herobrine, so from everything we've seen, herobrine It's fake, fake, fake. never existed well, well things started getting interesting again a few months later with a 1.6.6 beta on May 31, 2011. Notch posted the changelog on his tumblr. It contains things that you might expect, bug fixes, adjustments and the like, but the end. the line says something somewhat unexpected removed herobrine wait what removed herobrine I thought it was fake turns out the next version 1.7 also said removed herobrine in the changelog and 1.8 and 1.0 in fact version after version included removed herobrine even after Notch sold mojang At Microsoft in 2020 there was a big uproar because version 1.16 did not include the removed herobrine line.
Once again, people started speculating, but it ended up not being a big deal since update 1.16.2 went back to lore. I think it's pretty clear that these messages are just an easter egg that mojeng has thrown out just to keep things interesting. Herobrine has this weird kind of position where Mojing occasionally mentions him even though he's a fan creation that never officially appeared in the base game beyond the changelogs that Herobrine's images have. appeared in some official media published by mojing. It appears first in the Minecraft promotional image, hidden in the back. He also appeared on the website announcing Minecon 2011.
Here's a statue of him from the actual event Herobrine was at at one point on the cover. photo for the Minecraft Facebook page, there are actually quite a few examples of this, mainly in images with many Minecraft characters at once. I think mojeng likes to poke fun at the fanbase, reminding us of a time when Herobrine was scary or maybe they are trying to tell us something, maybe if we look hard enough in the fog we can see the figure with dead eyes staring at us. You thought I was going to be scared, didn't you? What kind of youtuber has a herobrine jumpscare in 2020?
The legend of Herobrine lives on primarily in the form of clickbait YouTube videos. Still, it's cool to have this relic from the early days that people still talk about, who knows, maybe with one of these updates, Mojang will hide it anyway. Thanks so much for looking. I'll come back to Minecraft theories next time, but I really thought I should do a quick video on Herobrine. He has such an important place in Minecraft history that he would be remiss if he didn't give you my opinion, as always. You can join Discord to talk about video theories or just hang out.
We have a fun community there. Thank you very much for watching and I'll see you in the next video. Bye bye.
