s, not just 7-eleven, but also Lawson Family Mart and a couple others. It was super complete and not only did it have food that is vegan but it also had food that may look vegan but is not. In fact, I only had to visit one in the end. I thought I would have to visit several to be able to acquire everything I needed, except 7-. The elevens I went to had at least everything on my breakfast list so I figured for a full breakfast I just wanted to eat some fruit, some type of carb and a drink and maybe some protein of some type , so what? I ended up with a black coffee because obviously you need coffee first thing in the morning if you're a caffeine addict like me, this one is called, you see, black, it says 100% roasted coffee with no added flavorings and no sugar.
Black coffees aren't actually black, they have a little bit of milk in them, they're just a dark coffee, so according to the blog post I've been reading, there were a couple different brands. I looked for them all. and this is the only one I could find below. I got good if you saw my last 7-eleven video. I tried this banana and hazelnut milk which was the best there is. This is the same brand. It's called chemistry. like roasted soybean flour, this is kinako with organic soybeans. I think it will be salty and sweet at the same time.
This one is vegan. They have other things from this brand. They have the hazelnut one, which is vegan. This is but later. There's also a strawberry one and that one isn't vegan of course I had to choose soy joy because I'm a soy guy, crunchy soy joy, this one is banana flavored apparently I have no idea what it's going to be. There are supposed to be a couple of flavors in the blog post, I think at least five or six, but this particular 7-eleven I went to had three different flavors, so I went with the banana.
I have some too. Fresh kiwi because I guess fresh fruit is a good way to start the day if you're vegan in Japan because you won't find a lot more that doesn't contain animal products. There were a lot of different types of fruit in these little bags, but I'm really craving kiwi and last but not least, they are apparently certified vegan according to the blog post I read. 7-eleven has advertised that their hash browns contain no animal by-products, so I picked up two of these, now all that food came to a total of about eight hundred yen, eight US dollars, ten Australian dollars.
I feel like Duck you could probably buy a vegan restaurant or cafe and have breakfast for a thousand yen or 1,500 yen. so don't feel like you can just go to a

convenience

store

, you'll probably have better options just by googling and finding vegan cafes, but anyway, if you want me to make a video about vegan restaurants and cafes in Japan, please. leave a like on this video so I know it's a video I've been meaning to make for a while, but anyway, we're going to get stuck in there and I think I think the fries will probably be delicious.
I wonder if they will be as good as McDonald's French Fries, okay I made a fatal mistake. I bought them and didn't need them right away. It's cold and soaked, damn it, it's not the 7-elevens fault, it's my fault. I should have eaten them immediately, but my hotel is a little far from 7. -eleven, so look, I mentioned this before, guys, it's pretty rude to eat in public in Japan, if you just walk down the streets you don't see people doing it, it's Better buy your things and then take a seat. It's raining outside somewhere. I wanted to sit in a park.
You may remember the mosquito park from my last 7-eleven video. I was going to take a chance because I thought maybe mosquitoes don't come out in winter. Unfortunately, it was raining. the mosquitoes weren't in the park and I can't be there either it's extremely salty a little oily and not really my ideal breakfast I don't know if I'll end up eating the second one this morning oh maybe I'll put it in I keep it in the fridge and it will taste even worse. Hmm, this is a real dilemma I've gotten myself into, so since I'm completely salty now, I really need this fruit.
I hope this kiwi is fresh, suitably fresh. It looks like it's been in this bag for too long oh wow Oh mmm ah that's nice. When you travel to Japan, I find it very easy to not accidentally eat fruits and vegetables because you are fascinated by everything. the food they have here although yakitori yakiniku gyoza ramen you end up concentrating on those things and tend to neglect the appearance of fruits and vegetables even if you are not vegan I recommend you buy a bag of fruit at 7-eleven just make sure you take vitamins, kids , when you're in Japan because it's very easy to forget that I bought the soy drink that I'm very excited to try yes, it smells like toast, it's because it's roasted soybeans, you know? you're in Australia, maybe you're up and going, this really tastes a lot like up and consumes 70 calories now, something to keep in mind just because it's soy milk in Japan doesn't mean it's necessarily vegan.
I noticed it on the blog. post they said there are some types of soy milk that are not vegan, this is it so you are fine if you buy this one. I recommend if you have portable Wi-Fi with you before purchasing anything. Double check with one of those online articles because the people who have written those articles have done a lot of research. I feel confident knowing it's vegan because it says it is in the article, but they are great at buying any soy milk. waiting and talking because not everything will be fine the most interesting thing for me is joy I see ads for this everywhere I see them at train stations I see them everywhere oh that's a strong pen smell ha ha Wow it looks like a cupcake looks like a piece of banana bread almost it's very very soft Oh hmm it tastes like a banana popsicle I'm not a fan it's not really a fair I noticed they had a white chocolate with hazelnuts, I think it was on the vegan list , which I really wanted that one because I think I would know damn well it wasn't available at the 7-eleven I went to.
I wouldn't wear this bonanno again if you're a fan of artificial banana, you might like it. really unusual it has these little rice dumplings in its texture really strange it has all kinds of different shapes and nuts and lumpy things inside it's crunchy and soft I don't know what the benefits of eating this are why is it so popular? That's one hundred and fifteen calories for this little moment. I just had a couple bites of hash brown, some kiwi, this drink and I really feel like I'm starting to fill up, so maybe it's not a bad breakfast from 7-eleven after all and finally, but no Least important, of course, is the bane juice.
I wonder if this is going to be very very bitter, a perfect cup sized portion in that little can, please don't take this the wrong way, but as an Australian I have very high standards when it comes to coffee. I think we have some of the best coffee in the world in Australia, we have very good baristas, we have very good coffee roasters and I know I'm going really deep into something that costs $1 and is basically used to wake you up, but as a person who worked as a barista for eight years old, that's my two cents with a slightly bitter taste.
I'm actually thinking maybe if I put a little bit of this in there, I'm wondering, I think this is a terrible idea. I can't believe I'm doing this. It's not a terrible idea. Hmm, not a terrible idea. It tastes very, very, very good. I think I think I just found a lifesaving hat, guys, if you buy a black one. coffee and you add roasted soy milk to it, you just made something that tastes like something you would buy at Starbucks, that's it guys, that's breakfast, look, it wasn't very popular in Japan. Veganism is still very, very new, not widely accepted or talked about.
It's not on a lot of menus, you know, I get comments from people all the time saying Alex, I'm vegan or Alex, I'm gluten-free, Alex, I'm vegetarian. I want to go to Japan, but I'm worried I'll starve to death. Death, you didn't get stabbed to death, but you can go home with hemorrhoids, okay guys, so now I'm on my way to lunch and apparently there are nine 7-eleven stores in Tokyo that sell a vegan bento lunch box, so apparently one of the nine 7-eleven stores that sell it are located in a sixer now called UH reeks of a communist, not an Iman Maya store.
This is right in front of Sensoji Temple on a sixer, so I'll show you around. I found the next one. team in my store, so let's go in and see if we can find some vegan pastas. I do not see it anywhere. I do not see it. This means I'm going to be hungry for lunch. Well, well, that's the positive side. They have this thing that I know is vegan because it's all veggie so oh yeah and I guess the edamame beans are great too but anyway I don't see the pasta they must be out of stock well guys I found it it's right here vegetable penne. vegan except it's in the freezer so I thought it would be with all the other foods in the middle of the poop but no it's in the freezer section but I think they can heat it up in the store so I'll do that. getting them to make it is 638 yen so about eight Australian dollars nine Australian dollars yeah okay great news there's one of my favorite smoothies.
I think I made a terrible mistake because I was looking at the radical and I realized that this is the one I really like: macadamia nuts and maple, but I was confusing the one in the article that is hazelnut and banana, so I bought this with a lot of excitement because I love it, but I actually don't know if this is vegan so I'm going to use my little Google Translate here let's see the raw materials genetically modified soy elegant let's go to Google you can do this you can do this there we go yes elegant don't turn it into sugar fiber dietary vegetable oils and fats emulsifiers potassium and earth and perfume very good normally there is like an allergy uh in a turkey down here 27 items soy I don't think it's okay because I feel like I would say milk if it had traces of milk there because that would be an allergy okay , let's try this pasta that traveled half a horse.
I'm actually very good, we added zucchini and tomato borders, we have captain pepper. I don't like pepper, take it away, the tastiest drink I would have this Master Sword if I were vegan and Traveling to Japan I think I would. just come here, buy a bunch of these, keep them in my Airbnb and eat it every day. It's so delicious, it's perfectly seasoned, very rich, the perfect amount of salt, pepper, herbs, cooked very well, the pastas are soft, not soggy, not too hard, so guys in my 7-eleven Video what people complain about how much packaging they use in Japan, but I just want to point out that in Japan they have a really wonderful recycling system, they are at the top of their game here, leaders.
I would do it. they say world leaders in recycling even in 7-eleven here they have these beauties behind me this is the Baba Buddha mascot that is like plastic bottles they also have this one is for paper and chopsticks and foods like that generally when you get to places like this, they will have maybe five or six different categories for their theories, so the 7-eleven had a seating area, not all 7-elevens have places where you can sit, but in these really busy areas some of them do and that one had a seating area. really huge seating area, so now that we're done with lunch we go to Sensoji temple, which is actually right in front of the 7-eleven, the 7-eleven is right there and the temple is downstairs. walkway here if you have never been to Tokyo and you are coming for the first time I recommend you visit here and once you have seen it once I don't think you need to return it is a very popular tourist destination there is a There are many nice little stalls lining the streets.
It is a beautiful temple. A really nice experience. I've been about five times, but I think once you've seen it, there's two meters to worry about coming back, but obviously I'm here because I want to. to show you, so let's go and I'll show you what it's all about, so this is Market Street on the way to Sensoji Temple, there are lots of food stalls and souvenir shops, it's a beautiful street, although it's incredibly busy. It's not even a busy day and it's very, very busy, it's like Disneyland so I recommend you visit here at least once, but I'll tell you what I'll tell you about secret souvenirs that are very expensive, just keep that in mind.
Well guys I would say it's my lucky day but not really because today I'm on a vegan diet so all the beautiful market stalls behind me won't help but I love it when you go to festivals where you find these markets on the weekends of the week they always have the same type of food they are the most beautiful market stalls they sell takoyaki okonomiyaki yakitori they sell meat skewers they sell all kinds of things I love them so if you are not vegan I think you would love this, but if you are vegan I don't think Good luck finding food at the market stalls that suits you, but it's Sunday here in Osaka and the stalls are open, if you want to try a sixer, make sure you do.
Come here on a Sunday, well guys, sorry for the horrible lighting. I'm here by the river, this river is close to the Tsukiji fish markets and it's actually a very nice place to have dinner or at least what a little dinner. I have it here with me because I didn't have much luck finding the different types of onigiri. Now I bought the salted rice onigiri, but there's also supposed to be a pickled plum one and even a seaweed one that's vegan, but none of those were. available so dinner tonight is a smoothie, salted rice onigiri and a packet of crisps as my friends in the UK called them so first things first is the green smoothie.
I remember I once ate one of these shakes from 7-eleven and there was so much pulp. in which I could barely stand it it looks like it's going to be a good smoothie it has kiwi it has carrots it has pepper no, probably not, anyway it looks like it's going to be a very healthy smoothie, so I hope so. It has no pieces of pulp, it's thick, everything is thick, ladies and gentlemen, mmm, wow, that's so good, it's really amazing. I'm definitely going to make a pilot again, it says it's a green smoothie and then on the front in English it says vegetable.
It has vegetables and fruits. This is incredible. Now all I need is to go to my yoga studio and I'm on my way to becoming the new "blessed now" hashtag. Unfortunately for me, what I have here is one in a kitten. just one, so that's all they had left of the salty rice ball. This won't be much for my dinner, so what I'll probably do before I get back to my hotel is grab another 7-eleven and grab some snacks because as far as I'm concerned, you know anytime it's time for a snack and I've seen a lot of vegan snacks at 7-eleven according to the blog post I've been relying on now, what about this salty rice onigiri.
I think this one is vegan but there are some that aren't vegan because they use dashi which is like a fish broth so this one should be fine although it doesn't have anything in it it's literally just a ball of salty rice oh when they call it salty rice, no kidding, I don't care, you know what I do, I still have the edamame from before and I also had a couple of leftover carrot sticks and cucumber and cabbage that I didn't finish because the pasta was very filling, so they could combine very well with this salty rice.
I feel a lot like an anime character right now, like a Pokémon with hiccups, things are about to get complicated, prepare our crunchy vegetable Nagini, okay? I don't know, it feels like I'm standing in the freezing cold holding a bowl of rice and chewing on a very soft vegetable, but I'll tell you what I'll leave you with. My best DIY vegan sushi direct from home is totally fun, I think it wraps up most of the dinner, but now I have a giant bag of chips here and apparently these are vegan. What did humans do to deserve French fries in Japan?
They are on another level, on another level of crunch, on another level of salt. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, not greasy, not dry, they are without a doubt. I would go so far as to say the best chips in the world and you can quote me on that, who needs a proper dinner when you have a giant bag of chips? Oh, and Speaking of fries, you may have noticed before. I had a little jar of chips that I shared with the pigeons and those are vegan too. They are called star chips. There are two flavors that are vegan, the red packet and the green packet are vegan and They are very tasty, I like them better than Pringles, but they are not as good as the seasonal ones.
The fries at 7-eleven, they're just called salty fries, oh that's so good. beautiful walk along the promenade and back to the hotel before freezing to death, so the first add-on in the results list is wok caramelized sweet potatoes, did you see that? Well, I've looked everywhere and I can't find it, so it's I'm going to have to move on to the next snack at a mom, I already have it, okay, I'm looking for these nuts, Deez Nuts, well guys, things don't know They look good for vegans at this 7-eleven, at least I've been wandering around. in circles for about ten minutes and I can't find any of the snacks on the list Hey guys, I don't think so, they made something on the list right here, I don't know what it is but get in my belly guys.
It didn't go so well, I managed to get a bag of nuts and that various bar thing, I don't know what it is, so now I'm heading to another 7-eleven, luckily there are three in this suburb I'm staying in, so yeah. at first you don't succeed, try again, my vegan friends, there are so many ice creams on this list and I can't find any. I've been searching and searching, there isn't one. at this place, the place I was at before and he is very bummed because I'm really desperate for dessert, well guys I'm back at the hotel after two relatively failed attempts to get some late night snacks, the first 7- Eleven didn't make it.
It doesn't really provide much. I managed to pick up the bag of mech suit nuts which this one was in the blog post which I read as a certified vegan nut mix. It looks like we have cashews, walnuts and almonds in there. I managed to pick this thing up from the first 7-eleven and this is cold or she saw it so no mom 80% off 80% off how come she na na nee horn didn't drown? Oh I think this is dark chocolate, some kind of cereal bar I think when I headed to the next 7-eleven once again without success, I managed to get this now, this was in the blog post, this is a brand called Mori Naga and this is a cop calling nuts, so cocoa and nuts. and says Mikoto B and then cookie then I don't know what the country is but cookies or this seems to be a cow and not slimy and then the other one says boo - boo good good Nora granola I also bought this now, this is a small pot of mango .
This was not in the blog post. I've been trying to find things outside of the blog post and I thought, surely a tub of mango can't contain animal byproducts, but you know, you know, just to be doubly sure, I went into my Google Translate app and unfortunately it couldn't translate for me, so that I spent half an hour reviewing and transcribing every single thing written on the label. I think it's vegan. I think the mango is safe and of course I have the little leftover soy juice liquid here that I'm looking forward to drinking, so let's try the nuts first.
In fact, I'm going to feel very betrayed because I'm here eating almonds without him, okay, almonds. crispy, uh, dry toasted. I think so, they are not salty. This is my favorite type of amon. When I buy almonds, I usually buy them dry roasted because they are crunchy and I don't like them with salt either because I watched my salt intake. so this is a big hit for me, delicious, this will really help you, you know something I'm noticing, there's not a lot of energy today, really not that much, so their nuts will definitely help you in that department, so oh!
They're in a resealable bag, Sugoi, so let's try the cereal bar, that's what it looks like. Don't drop one of these in a pool, you'll scare everyone mmm oh oh oh, that's the best so far, oh, that's it. delicious, this is really spicy. I don't want to spend half an hour transcribing this entire label, but the article I posted said it was vegan ingredients, cocoa powder, corn flakes, vegetable oil, macadamia nuts, dextran, vitamin E, sweetener, vitamin b6, vitamin b2 , vitamin b1. Vitamin B12 contains wheat and soy dairy, why is it on this list? The company has stated that it contains no animal ingredients;
However, it can be cross-contaminated because the milk is processed in the same factory or on the same line, so in this case the warning on the package that makes it look like dairy is an ingredient only means that the particles can be present due to cross contamination. Make sure you get the one in the black packaging as the others have animal ingredients like milk, look guys if you don't mind. about the fact that it is made in the factory that has milk in the factory. You'll love it. In fact, anyone would love it. This was the best chocolate ever.
It's so nice even outside of being vegan. I will buy this every day. I'm in Japan, this is so good it's basically mmm, I don't know how to describe it, it has these little crunchy balls, maybe some kind of rice buns or something, it also has macadamia nuts. I can taste the flavor. cornflakes but not super strong and then the topping is dark chocolate but it's very creamy dark chocolate and it's not bitter at all sorry, boring. I'm not just saying how many calories this has, how many of these can I safely eat on a date? 173 calories in a bar is the best ever and I will buy it every time I come to Japan from now on guys that's it that's the twin buy this chocolate bar so cocoa and nuts this It's a cookie and I do.
I don't think this is going to be as good as the heavenly bar I just ate, but try it or they're really cookies, okay, oh no, they're not really cookies. I wasn't sure if it was going to be soft and chewy because it's Muno, it's got fruits and nuts and stuff, but kind of soft, it's super crunchy, it tastes good. I guess after eating that delicious chocolate bar with cereal, this is a little simple. I buy it again, yes, if that chocolate cake was not available, but if that chocolate bar was available, I buy ten of those and I don't eat anything else for the rest of the day, okay, let's try this, a little bit of big wave.
I have high hopes for this one because it has fruit in it oh yeah oh there are actually chunks of blueberry in this no its not a fan it tastes a little like cardboard with blueberries mixed in I feel like these must be healthy surely they are healthy ok one packet of this has a hundred and eighty seven calories I guess this is good for energy, nuts with healthy fats or and protein will probably keep you full for a long time, these are pretty good, it's the kind of thing you maybe throw a toss on of these in your backpack and if you're on the Shinkansen going from Kyoto to Tokyo or something and you know you need a snack, this will probably keep you active.
I would definitely say the biggest hit of the whole day was that chocolate bar that I just ate and now I'm going to have some mango. because the amount of processed things I just consumedshould be cancelled, so this mango comes with a small pitchfork for the angry villagers, well, it tastes delicious. I would buy it just to drink that juice, to be honest it just tastes like um. Stewed mango doesn't retain much of its original mango flavor if someone gave it to me in a small tub and I didn't know it was mango. I think I'd say it was peach or maybe nectarine or something because there's just no flavor, no distinct flavor, at least I wouldn't eat that one again I guess.
Long story short, as far as eating vegan food at 7-eleven in Japan, obviously, when I made my video I ate food from 7-eleven in Japan for a week and it was very successful because you can get huge amounts of food at 7-eleven. -eleven and if you don't have dietary restrictions you won't go hungry there is Japanese food there is a Western style theory there is Italian food there are sandwiches there are popsicles there is alcohol it's everything you could want you won't go hungry in a Japanese 7- eleven if you have no requirements diets if you are vegan or vegetarian, although you won't be able to survive from 7-eleven, obviously you could, but I don't think your body would thank you.
There are a lot of empty cafes popping up in Tokyo now so they are a bit pricey so maybe my recommendation for you if you are vegan and want to travel to Japan but have been thinking maybe you shouldn't. It's not because you're worried about not being able to eat anything, I would recommend that instead of staying in hotels you stay in an air B&B because there are supermarkets and there is one called Lawson natural and the Lawson natural has a higher price. It focuses a lot on food vegan, but a lot of it you have to cook yourself if you had a microwave, a stove, you know an area to cook, I think you could have a good time on your trip, but if you want to travel. from the top of Japan to the bottom and you won't stay in one place and you won't have a kitchen wherever you go, you will have difficulties with food and you may end up surviving only on tofu and fruits.
Potentially the whole time that item was excellent and had many different fruits that I could have possibly eaten today. I just couldn't find that many of them, many of them weren't available or maybe I just wasn't looking. correctly, maybe I wasn't looking closely enough. The moral of the story is that Japan is an amazing country. I'd hate to think that there are people missing out on the beauty of this place because of their diet, if you can handle a bland diet for a short period of time while you're here or you know, maybe if you want to save a little more money so you can afford eat vegan cafes for example, you should do it, don't come to Japan because you are worried about the food, I was looking for vegan food all day everywhere I went, it may not be a very complete diet, but if you come to Japan for a week, two weeks, three weeks, even it is the best place in the world and it is worth it, you know, to put up with having to eat tasteless dishes while you were here.
Don't miss Japan because you're afraid you won't be able to follow your vegan diet because, like I showed you. today you can keep it up, you might get a little constipated later so anyway, that's it, thank you very much for watching. If you liked today's video, please give us a thumbs up and also if you receive it, I will know about it.
