Lake Powell could rise 50 to 90 feet over the next few months

s that most of us are really excited about Lake Powell. These are the office projections, hey, 50 to 90

feet

. The Bureau of Reclamation says we

could

increase 50 to 90

feet

. 90 feet into the second largest reservoir in the United States this spring, well, let's dive into it. These are the projections that we have seen from the Bureau of Reclamation, so right now we are around 35 20. the red line is. The worst case scenario would take us to a

rise

of 35.75, which is an increase 50 feet. At best we go 36-15, the blue line is a 90 foot gain.

Now, what is expected and what we are trying to accomplish and what is the greatest. The green line will likely have a 70 foot

rise

from today, by the end of June we

could

be at an elevation of 35.90 on Lake Powell okay, so if we hit that green line with a 70 foot rise it would open the Castle Rock cutoff, it's dry right now, but by the end of June we could get those levels up and you could, and this is really big because this will take you from Wall Wheat Marina to Warm Creek Bay in a very short period of time, that's why they designed it and then didn't mention Antelope Point.

This is another great thing that will be open for public launch that has been closed, I think for the last two years, I mean, if we hit that 70 foot elevation and let's say we go up 70 feet, people just to put things in Outlook will still be one hundred and ten feet below full pool, which is about 3700 feet, so we have a long way to go, but this is a great start this year for Lake Powell.
