Then I have the photos widget and another widget here that I'll talk about shortly. This time I've gone for a very comprehensive approach and I'll explain why in just a second and then some random

I want to quickly tell you about today's Pataka sponsor who makes these wonderfully thin and light phone cases. My iPhone 14 pro is an incredibly beautiful device, which is why we spent so much money on these pieces of kit and I really hate huge, bulky phones that ruin that aesthetic, which is why the pataka case is as thin as a credit card. You can literally feel the quality when you run it through your hands, but best of all, it's still strong enough to protect my phone from normal use.

The scarf scratches up the scratches and dings I put it through every day. It has a 3D textured surface that makes it amazing to hold. It's made from lightweight but durable aramid fiber and also has a raised lip here that's just the right size to protect my. phone's cameras and its magnetic charger compatibility, giving you super fast wireless charging even through the case, the button cutouts are super sleek and the rounded edge on the front looks and feels sleek. I personally chose the Rhapsody design which has this subtle kind of There are a lot of details in it, but they have several different designs, all of which I think look quite elegant and minimalist and last but not least, when the case of your phone, comes in recyclable and biodegradable packaging, often coming in whole loads of Game Changer phone cases. plastic so it's amazing so yeah go to the link in the description to get your own pataka case now.
What makes it appear on this first screen when you unlock your phone? I would say I basically have all my most used ones. apps Google Maps is absolutely my favorite map app, although find my friends like find me now, as you know, is kind of useful, as you'll see, I don't actually have the find me app on any of these screens. Basically, I always go Where's Beth? She comes up with the location of it. I still use Apple's native Podcasts app. Honestly, I'm not sure she's that great, but it's the one I've always used and I have all my programs saved here, so I guess. just switching to something else is something that doesn't really bother me, so I'm pretty happy with this for now, honestly, I listened to tons of podcasts and on that note, I also have Audible here.
I have a ton of audio books in my library that I have already partially or completely finished and I have to say that maybe some people will disagree with me on this, but I really don't understand why more people don't listen to audio books and podcasts like this manner. more than what they do for me on my way to work, I have maybe 45 minutes an hour a few times a week when I'm at the gym or running and that really allows me to listen to the content of a book. week, that's like 52 books a year that I can read just by listening to audiobooks and podcasts, if you take them as audiobook equivalents, that's a lot of learning and reading I can do and otherwise it's kind. of wasted time yes, I absolutely think we should be meditating with headphones enjoying the world immersing ourselves in the moment which takes about 10 to 15 minutes, but we have a lot of down time that I think you can really use effectively listening to audiobooks and podcasts, In terms of news apps, I basically have the BBC News app and Ft, so the BBC News app is my go-to for general news about what's happening in the world.
Ft is also a great source of news. For me, obviously in my job it's important to have an idea of what's going on, so I really like that they have this kind of Story at the top, so I often go to companies where there are a lot of them. of things like law that it's pretty easy for me to just take advantage of and take a quick look at what's going on in the world of law from a sort of financial business perspective, very helpful. Next, we have Trello so you know if you've seen any of my videos, it's literally my baby, where I keep all the things that I need to do, so I have a to-do list here.
I have a YouTube business to do this. I also have rough ideas for YouTube videos. What I'm basically working on, I keep general high-level YouTube video ideas here and general to-do lists in the different compartments of my

life

, if you're interested in learning more about how I use Trello again. a quick addition to my Trello course on skill sharing. I think it's a very helpful introduction to how I use Trello, and as you can see, the biggest thing I love about Trello is the ability to create cards very quickly and easily for the things you want. do and then categorize them by importance.
I find it super intuitive, very easy to see at a high level, just like what's happening in my

life

. I have all these different cards, all these different lists and then in my choice habit tracking app. the app finished, I just decided to remove it, actually pair it again and make this something I actually use. The finished app also has this really cool widget that I added to the second page. I really love it because every time I go on my phone I just scroll to go here to one of my apps, this widget is kind of a great visual reminder that okay, I need to be careful about how much takeout I'm eating this week or should I make sure I'll do another workout tomorrow, okay, and then I also have a bunch of my financial apps here.
These are all my free trade savings accounts that I use for investing. I also use Masterworks, which has been a sponsor of the channel, to invest in art. I have a savings account another savings account this is my YouTube QuickBooks bank account which I use for all my stripe accounts which are all the payments I make through my personal website a bunch of other accounts okay final homepage app that I think deserves a mention is the notes app, so the notes app is basically what I use every time I want to listen to an audiobook or a podcast and there are ideas that I will jot down very quickly and this is where the dynamic island is great, You know?
I'm listening to this audiobook, for example, and I just open it there and then in the notes app. I can pause it like I switch very quickly and easily between the two apps and it's pretty seamless, so it's basically all the apps on my home page and then the last thing is I just have this widget here. Then I have this calendar view here a little bit more complete so I can see well, what's happening today, let's find this widget is really easy, like a quick view of what's happening. going on in my life and I find that it is generally pretty good at suggesting things that will probably be useful.
Then at the bottom here I have a pretty generic set of apps. I guess the only two things worth mentioning is that I'm a big Google Chrome user and then second, I have all my emails, all my email accounts are synced with the Apple Mail app and I like one of my Favorite features just to highlight in case you don't already know when you're sending an email. With the new Mail app, you can delay sending, so if you hold down the send icon, these options will appear and I can say, "Okay, let's send this at 9:00 pm tonight or send it later and choose a hour".
Really useful feature, especially when I'm at work on my work phone. I really love it, so yeah, on the second page of my home screen I have eight folders at the top for different areas of my life, like different types of apps, and I have to say the same thing. This seemed like a great advance to me. I think just having this slight friction when I get to this second page just has the barrier to entry, like being on my older social media, where I have to say "okay, I'm going to go on social media." Okay, activate your mind to say that social media is the same.
Am I supposed to be doing this right now? Or is it actually going to be a waste of time to have them in folders? It really forces me to reflect on that kind of decision about how to do it. I'm going to use my time right now a little more and honestly, I've found that it's made a huge difference in the way I use my phone. Then coming back to this screen, I have this photo widget right here and I absolutely recommend it wholeheartedly. This, as you know, I'm very interested in productivity, making sure that you don't get distracted during the day, but it might be a good idea to just take a 30, 60, 90 second break and I find that by reaching for my phone, literally, I swipe right and having some kind of healthy photo or even one of these little videos that Apple creates, it just gives me something to do, it distracts me from work.
I like to look at this and think, oh wow, that looks cool. I remember, it just gets me going for the day and then I can come back, put my phone down and I can get back to work, like noteworthy apps, content creation. I'd probably mention click as if it were a pretty good project management app. It's kind of a similar notion. I use this literally only to create full scripts in my videos. My editors have access. The only other one I think is probably worth mentioning is new since my last setup was Adobe Lightroom. Now I stopped buying Lightroom for a long time because it's quite expensive now.
Canva is an amazing app for designing things. Beth and I still use it in our business, but as a pure photo editing app, Lightroom is an absolute beast. I really can't recommend her enough. I edit all my thumbnails here, it's worth it. In terms of Less, Shopify is the app we use to power our entire website and everything in our business. It's an amazing app for driving a business and I would also mention notion so notion is the tool that Beth and I use to record things like everything we do in our business it's a super useful place and the other thing here that's probably from interest is ho home app, so when creating a smart home i think i could make an updated smart home video, like thisLet me know if you like it.
I'd like to see what I've done since the last one. There are a ton of apps here that you basically need to connect to the different brands of products that we have, but they all link to Alexa. Alexa turns on Beth's desk. She even understands it. when you talk like an idiot, but I know the apps I want to mention on this page are my fitness app, so RunKeeper is the run app that has all my data here, 376 activities tracked, the other app is this range of time. find the interface in this super clean and easy to use but highly effective then come to this last page just some highlights like a password now it's the app I use to store all my passwords and then I also have this reminders widget from the Big Apple.
I just find it super useful. Reminders also got a big update in this iOS, at least I didn't realize how good it was before, so now Beth and I, for example, have a shared shopping list and then I also have a reading list, believe. This is a great place to keep a small list and I think the ability to share them with other people is great and last but not least it's a pretty recent discovery for me so this is one of my new favorite apps and probably the most used, it basically creates soundscapes that match whatever you're doing.
For me, I really have a hard time focusing when there's background noise, so I put it in this mode, which is the focus mode, and it basically plays like these. something like Tunes noises and with my airpods Pro like noise canceling it blocks out any sounds from another person, like talking and on a call when I'm in the office and it just makes me feel completely in the zone. They also have this other mode that is relaxed, they sleep, they move and they like it. It syncs the music with your movement so that, as if the phone senses your movement, it syncs the soundscape you're listening to with your movement, which is pretty impressive.
They also have this space orbit mode, which is new, like Apple's Airpods Pro, so you can listen to a soundscape. As you move and move your head, it's like the sound rotates around you. It's great. One of my other favorite features of this app is the ability to create a deep work timer so you see they have similar scenarios here, I'm going to do a deep work which will then play some tunes similar to Focus for me and I can last however long I want do this, so I want a 60 minute deep work session. I press start and it puts me in the zone, it plays this tune for 30 minutes and then I put my phone down and I don't do anything with it and then I have a lot more apps on my phone.
I just don't use them regularly, so I don't need them. on my home screen, this has been a huge improvement for iOS. I also love how easy it is now to search for apps that I don't need as much on my home screen because if I can't find something, just quickly jump in here, Admiral. For example, what is my insurance provider, bam, and I'm on it. I think my five highlights are the number one settings folders on my new iPhone. I honestly think it has made a huge difference in the way I use my number two phone.
I think the photo widget is like this. The photo is of me and my two technicians and friends. I think, oh, that's so healthy, and then I also like to send it to the person who's with me and it makes them think, oh, Liam, like he's thinking of me today, that's a really nice number. three would be the app widget ready, just having that visualization of how I'm doing this week with all my habits. four has to be Endo, my new favorite type of app as a focus, just listen to endless soundscapes and don't get distracted by noises. happening around me and number five, without a doubt, pataka, go to the link in the description to get your own pataka case.
I honestly can't get over how light and simply good it feels in my hand, as satisfying as how sleek and beautiful this thing is. Honestly, I highly recommend it, so yeah, that's my productive iOS 16 iPhone 14 pro setup and I really hope you enjoyed it. If you have any top tips on how I could improve my setup even further, let me know. Thinking about the comments on this video. I always read your comments. I love hearing from you and will talk again very, very soon.
