We have Macy's around here but they sure don't look like this one and I also loved all the revolving doors in New York City, they were fun every time I went in. I had the choice, I always chose the revolving door, but once you got into Macy's there were a lot of fun things there, also some animatronics, this little Santa Claus and of course all the fun shopping you can do there too, so no we did it. I did a lot of shopping, but I headed to the Chanel counter. She had forgotten my red lipstick for a

special

event we are attending tonight and I will show it to her here shortly.
I had never bought anything from Chanel in my life before, but it seemed like the perfect item to buy at this store and was one of my only memories after Macy's. We headed to Times Square and of course along the way we had to stop at all the fun little shops. Places where this amazing bakery blew me away. I wish I could have brought some of this home. It looked divine and was just a beautiful little bakery. There was a Rolex store on the way, which I thought was pretty relevant as we were heading down. to Times Square Once we walked through the streets of New York and ended up in Times Square, this was a very surreal moment for me.
I've seen this on TV so many times, but I'd never imagined myself in this place before, so this was a very

special

moment for both of us. There were a lot of unique things to see, but we headed out for brunch before exploring further. We found this beautiful little place called Freedmen's. It had a very fun art deco vibe. I had a delicious brunch and some foreign mimosas. There were so many different little shops and businesses that you could walk through in Times Square, but the Hershey store was the one that caught my attention first because of the Grinch, you guys know I absolutely love half of the Grinch for years. and years, they even give you some chocolate as you walk through the shops, you can munch while you browse, there is a lot to see here, lots of delicious sweets and they even have a little bakery counter where you can make your own Reese's. cup of peanut butter and put whatever toppings you want on it, it looked really fun and we just had brunch so of course it was time for dessert and they have a s'mores bar with lots of other delicious treats but this Of course, what caught my attention was they had a Grinch s'more.
I couldn't pass that up, you know, here's the many other trees they had too, there's some smoothies and cookies and stuff like that, but I loved that Grinch s'more. and let me tell you, there was definitely no Grinch seen in this s'more, but it was absolutely delicious and a great way to warm up after Times Square, we explored a little more and walked around to see more beautiful Christmas decorations, we even made it to the Walk near the NBC Studios building that we actually went up to and I'll show you soon, but of course, why were we going to the Rockefeller dinner?
Of course, to see this giant Christmas tree. It was another surreal moment for sure, I love seeing it all. the people ice skating below is just another one of those moments I never thought I could experience but sometimes when you make wishes they come true and this was a moment where I just didn't want to leave this area, this tree is huge and We just took it in, thought about going to some of the shops that were there too, but decided this was an opportunity to go up and we're talking 70 floors to the top of Top of the Rock.
It was an absolutely stunning moment. We went on a beautiful day. We could see as far as the eye could see. You can see Central Park right there in the center and there were three different observation decks, so this was one of the lowest ones, but we did it. reach all the way to the foreign top, so the two bottom decks had plexiglass. This top deck just had some concrete and some metal rails separating you from going completely over the edge, which was crazy to me, but it was totally exciting, so I'm glad I did it.
It was amazing, beautiful views, you can see the Empire State Building right in front of you, foreigner, you know rainbows are my thing, especially on my DIY channel, so when I saw this rainbow on top of Top of the Rock, I knew I was where I was. It was meant to be that way, the big guy wasn't there when we were, but there was even a place where Santa Claus shows up and takes pictures, which is really nice to see back there, luckily there was this cute little coffee truck and We definitely needed to warm up after being on top of a 70-story building, I also got a bit face to face with my husband as we regained our balance and decided what we wanted to do next.
A delicious coffee could have been a better time. We were right about this. fun little plaza next to the LEGO store and right in front of St. Patrick's Cathedral and next door was Saks Fifth Avenue overseas. This is another one of those beautiful stores, a very high end store, but it also has beautiful and fun windows, so this year the sax theme for their windows were special gifts from the past, so you will see fun retro toys that are also animated in their shop windows. I'll just let you enjoy, sit back and enjoy those foreign windows, thank you like the sun. started to go down, we had to go back to our hotel to get ready for our fun night, but we stopped in Times Square to see these snow globes, how fun they are, they were all Broadway themed with their different musicals, thank you, then the time came .
To start preparing for our big event, the only reason we were traveling and the reason I needed that red lipstick was to go see Mariah Carey's Christmas concert, so we were very lucky to be able to enjoy Christmas, all related to Christmas, in New York City, but Mariah Carey's concert is really what brought us there. It's a huge bucket list for me and my sister, and seeing her in concert in New York City for a Christmas concert was a dream come true, it was amazing. I filmed this concert for a CBS special, so be sure to check out your provider and check this out.
In fact, you can see the concert the Rockettes attended. Were they there? They even had special guests. You'll see it here in just a second. I want you to be able to watch all the Rockets do their thing here for a second, but Drew Barrymore was one of the guests and he even sang some of his traditional songs, not all just Christmas songs, it was amazing, it was incredible. Atmosphere, it was a lot of fun, something we'll ask, we'll never forget, so of course at the end she says her song. All I want for Christmas is you and I can't put any of the music on here, we'll write copy so go. watch that special if you want to see it, but it was really good and it even started snowing inside Madison Square Garden, which was so fun that we didn't leave the concert until 12:30 at night, so on our way back.
We went to this authentic New York style pizzeria and had pizza at our hotel at night. It was the perfect way to end the day. The next day, my sister surprised us and she got us tickets to see City Rockettes radio. My God! Mariah Carey was Incredible, but if you want the best Christmas show ever, go see the Rock Heads, it was literally the most captivating live performance I have ever seen. Now I will say that I have never been to Broadway, but I can't. wait to do that. I've seen musicals, but not in New York City, so that's another bucket list thing, but let me tell you the Christmas magic in this show.
You will be entertained for the entire hour and a half of the show. Go see it if you want. You absolutely won't regret it after we left the Rockettes we were on such a high that two shows we had already seen were amazing now, but we found even more things to enjoy, like these giant sculptures of ornaments, they had a giant candy cane. sculptures, they had giant nutcrackers and soldiers and it was a really fun place to be and that's what concludes our 48 hour Whirlwind trip to New York City. We headed home in the afternoon and returned home in the evening again, everything was A dream, it has also been a dream to have you all follow this Christmas season with me here on the Cozy Christmas Cottage channel.
