road

trailer

s. In Australia it's a pretty tough award to get because there are some amazing off

road

trailers out there but this one won it and it's pretty easy to say why this thing is so amazing, it's incredibly capable and can go pretty much anywhere. You could dream of going, but it also comes with many conveniences and many interesting features.

We talked a little about how it's built. It is built with fiberglass. This is a molded piece of fiberglass with a honeycomb core just under an inch thick. The total overall length can be chosen between 14 and a half and 18 and a half feet. This one is a little longer and the reason is that the tab on the front has a space where you can put a motorcycle or electric bikes. and still be able to turn and go off road to those extreme or incredible places like this, the frame is actually all aluminum, it is a hollow aluminum rectangular bolt, very strong and will never rust, as you can see, it comes, there is an option for a Rooftop Tent and one of the things I like about Sherpa is that it offers options for everything you will see in the trailer.

size mattress. It is extra long, 80 to 82 inches long, so for tall people it also has a mesh underneath so that condensation or moisture is easy to roll out. The things in this trailer are very, very easy to set up. I love Alley Cab stuff. Alley Cab is a South African company that has been around for over two decades and is known for creating critical some of the most user-friendly and also very strong and robust aluminum tents, canvas awnings, etc., but I'll get down to it. up this ladder and I'll walk up and show you this amazing trailer.

They actually have some storage pockets up at the top of the roof. as well as three windows with mosquito nets so you can enjoy a nice airflow while you are camping in the rooftop tent. This new line of products we are the only distributor in the entire United States that sells this product. There are some interesting things about BRS. an off road company from Australia they also have another model called The Pursuit this is the

sherpa

so this is a smaller version these things are pretty light you are about 21 depending on how you choose it you will be around 2100 or further. at 2600 pounds, so they are very capable off-road vehicles, they are sitting on the Cruise Master suspension, which is the G35, so there are coilovers and shocks here on the tongue, like I said, this is the longer version, which measures approximately 18 and a half. get a shorter lug to measure about 14 and a half feet but on top of the lug we have the do35 cruise master which will hinge in all directions and also up and down through the washes it has the jockey wheel arc 750 this one will actually spin and completely clear the bottom of this so the jockey wheel never falls off and then of course here we have our brake so if you're parked on a hill you can brake and then you also have its Anderson connector so you can charge your batteries very, very quickly.

I'll talk to you, but in a second about the batteries, as we walk forward, you also have the American standard seven pin that controls all the brake lights and there's a nice little spot for that as well. Store it right there like I said this is the extended tongue version it's designed for a bike you can put electric bikes or a motorcycle or you can choose to have a shorter tongue and focus more on off road down here we have some storage and It's extremely deep, it goes all the way, you're almost a few feet back when you close this, they're all lockable and one of the things I like is they have this dust. protectors so you can really protect that the entire trailer is coated with a raptor coating like a truck bed liner, you know, it will resist rock chips and all of that will be very strong and very durable up here.
I want to show you, the battery management system and the batteries, we have two Battleborn, these are 100 amp hour lithium batteries. It is also running the Red Arc total vehicle management system. This is where all your fuses and your distribution boxes control all your lights and everything. Throughout the trailer, Redarc is super easy to use but also very, very capable. You also have a diesel heater here, this is your tank, it's just a gallon or a 3.4 liter tank and here you have all the controls that actually run your heater this is a hydronic diesel heater system, you also have hot water here and this gives you the ability to adjust your water system on the fly.
I love that they use copper fittings with all PEX lines, much sturdier and harder to break. As you can see, it's all fiberglass and much of the body and material underneath is aluminum, so it's very light but also very strong and built to last. You get the BRS off-road inlay, which is cool. here we have an Anderson connection and this is for external solar panels, if you would like to have more, you also have a solar panel on the roof and one of the things I want to mention is also the height of the trailer, it depends on how you choose the trailer, but it can range from seven feet, just over seven feet, to just over eight feet, about eight feet two inches, and that's with everything on top of it, so if you want to put it in a garage that's less than seven feet and a half. that is absolutely doable here you also have your charging system, this is where you would charge your batteries from a shore power or of course solar power will run your batteries whenever you have sun.
I love some of the things you see on this like these hinges are just huge like this look at the welds on this thing it's very very sturdy very strong this trailer is one of the coolest trailers I think I've ever seen in my entire life , it literally looks like it landed from outer space or something, but here we have the Buddy bearings with the rims, these are alloy wheels, you have the electric drum brakes, we can choose the tires, but the ones it has are the BF goodriches ko2s , it's 265 65 with a 17 inch tire, uh. so 32 to 33 inch tires, your spare tire here and of course your propane right there, you also have a light here and you can control it inside or outside and this is obviously your white light for extra brightness if there is insects that can ignite.
That and insects don't like them that much. This 270 is absolutely beautiful. One of the things I love about it is that it actually leaves your stakes in the ground. Well, if you want to put up the awning, they are here. and it just hides when you put it away so you don't have to lose your bets, which seems to happen all the time with me. You also have arms coming down on all of these and you can't bet them better. coming this way i want to show you the kitchen this kitchen is pretty impressive this trailer is incredibly capable look at the departure angles on this thing the headroom is just crazy and the great thing about this is that you can get it for about two to two thousand six hundred pounds, so you'll be able to tow it with just about anything on the market, Toyotas, Jeeps, take these latches off right here, lift this guy up, this kitchen is very well designed, go down so you have a nice prep area and then these slide out. outside and they give you the kitchen sink and then you also have some additional counter space that slides out here.
It also has two isotherms, these are refrigerator or freezer drawers, so you can set the temperatures as you wish. This is set now. Negative 18. Like I said, you can make one as a refrigerator, the other is a freezer, they are both refrigerators, depending on what you are trying to do and what adventure you are on. We have huge storage here. It's all aluminum in this thing, this hose. it'll plug in here and then you can turn it on and you'll have your sink and then you'll also have a switch for your water pump right there for more storage.
You can take it out and it slides down to give it another exterior. hose and shower and then you can have some storage space in here. It has an aluminum water tank on board and it holds 37 gallons of water, so for a small trailer to have almost 40 gallons of water, that's a lot of water, but walking around here Away from the kitchen we have another propane tank for you and like I said, we don't put in a grill because a lot of people have different opinions on which grill is good, so we like to be able to choose that option for you after you.
You'll know after you buy it so you can say I want this grill or that grill and there are a lot of different options and of course you have your propane point there where you can plug it into your grill once again. It is illuminated here with different colors. amber for insects uh, I love these stairs. I want to show you how they make these unique stairs. I've never seen a design like this, there's a little lever and these things pop out and fall and they're very strong, they feel very sturdy. I mean, like I said, I'm 200 and 250 pounds, six feet and that feels like it has a lot of support for me.
I'm going to show you this outside shower and then I'm going to take you inside, yeah, these alleys. The taxi stuff is very nice and I think one of the things they pride themselves on is the ease of use. If you like them, connect and look for them. Everyone who owns them says they love them because they are easy to use. set up and the quality is really good, I mean this thing is built in a box and then you have these little rubber eyelets in there to hold it in and then they come out and they automatically lock into place, there you have it, you have some wellies.
Down here too, so you can turn it off if you want, you can nail it in and you have your outside shower. That's the easiest outside shower I've ever opened, so obviously it's not nailed down, but you get in. right here and you shower there you go there you have it a nice little shower it really is easy the quality feels great and that's how the whole trailer feels not just like the components but everything in the trailer feels very very. high end, so I mentioned earlier that it is originally an Australian company and it is still the owner and founder in Australia.
He has been in the caravan industry. I think for 15 to 20 years he worked for other caravan companies in Australia and went out on his own. In a decade, a very good craftsman builds excellent trailers, but this Sherpa actually built 100 in the United States of America. He partnered with a group of guys from Tennessee and they are bringing these trailers and all the models to the United States, but they are going to be built in the United States. He'll come out and teach you how to build them. He was here in the United States like last month and we spent the whole day together off-roading.
He was showing us how trailers work. Really cool guy. Anyway, this door, this cabin is one of the most beautiful cabins I have ever seen on any trailer. When you walk in, everything is carpeted, so it is a marine grade carpet. You have some storage spaces right here. You know, throw away your cell phones and then. you may come in. I'll take off my shoes. I'll go up to this bed. It's very comfortable. You're about six inches, so it's a very thick, plush memory foam. The guy in Tennessee, his wife's family owns an upholstery company and they make foams and he said you know he's a little bigger guy like me and he says you know I hate sleeping in uncomfortable beds so I told him to my family that I told them to get me the nicest, thickest, most comfortable mattress available now.
What's up with this cabin. It's huge? The Sting is amazing and I love how they have these backrests here, you lean back, so if you're out at night and you want a night light or you want a brighter light, here you have three different lights. color options so you can read, you can just rest here. That's what's really cool about this is that you can just relax. I can open this from here and if I want, I can Velcro it and close it so the bugs don't bother me and I can just enjoy this amazing view.
I don't know if you can see that view from here. It's amazing like the mountains are right in front of me. All the cabinets here are aluminum. these twist lock latches, uh, tons of storage here, uh, shelving, it's all welded aluminum, the whole cabin has this marine grade carpet, so that's going to do a couple of things, one is going to insulate it and also soundproof it. , and when I'm here, no, I don't hear echoes while I'm talking, so, muffle the sound, it's very nice, um up here, all this tooIt's carpeted on top and you have very, very deep storage.
I mean, with my fingers all the way out, it's like the entire length, so you can stack clothes up there. These windows look like something out of a submarine. Very cool. You have a 21-inch LED TV. You have some 12 volt outlets here. The wiring, all the fuses, all the panels, the breakers, everything is marine grade, so it's very high-end quality. You also have your battery monitor here and you have some USB plugs for your cell phones, so if you want to plug it in and set it up. Up here you have a stereo system, the fusion and then you come back. here we have these fans so you can turn them on, they have timers and different speeds, so right now, I mean, we are at a pretty high elevation, but it's hot out here it's very nice the cabin is very comfortable here in this area there are some overhead lights these rope lights up here and they actually have a dimmer so you can have them nice and dim or you can have them bright here we have more USB plugs for cellular devices , tablets you also have a diesel heater right here and you also have this little blower so you turn it on and it puts the 12 volt fan on and then it will heat up this cabin really well this and then here everything is controlled let me show you behind here we have your redarc controller your um this There's your charging system here and then it's in the brain also the fuses on the front that I showed you before, but you can turn this guy on and you have the ability to turn on a lot of different lights outside, inside, these are actually mounted under um. lights that you can't see because it's daytime right now, but there are Rock lights that you can install on these trailers, so you can add a lot of cool little options and then you can control everything on this to see how your solar energy is coming in right now. it shows we're bringing in six amps and it says two amps go to the battery, three amps go to the lights, so you've got some temperature here and everything here is easy to see.
Red Bow Red Vision is one of the best you know what it is, it's very simple, easy to use, but it's one of the best systems on the market. People will argue if Victron or Red Arc is the best and that's good, it's good to argue if Red Arc is the best. as good as Victron or not, the last little detail I want to point out is that they're sewn together silly, but I'm crazy about these Velcro things and then here they're riveted into the aluminum right here and that's just that kind of thing. those details drive me crazy because when you're actually one, some people glue them together and then when it gets too hot the glue just melts, of course, for your safety, you have your fire extinguisher right here, you have your smoke detector right there and you've got some pretty deep storage compartments right here so you can add a few extra little things for such a small trailer. you have a good amount of storage also another storage space back here and then this right here is Summer Wood.
I mean it's Walnut and it's from Tennessee, so this is the little piece of wood in the whole trailer and it's just a little piece of where it comes from and what it's built from, and then they threw it in there for fun. as a nice little touch, awesome window right here, uh, these all have gaskets like an engine gasket, all the bolts that some people ask about, like water leaks, potentially, they've thought about it care
