germs too small to see spread across the river so small but so dangerous without realizing it the women brought the cholera home in the water the flies carried the cholera on their feet the dirty hands also spread it we swallowed the cholera germs in our water, in our food and on our fingers, it happened so quickly in the morning that my father was very sick, he had diarrhea that looked like rainwater and it poured out of him. He was so scared that I went to get help.

I never rode so fast. my father and the nurse knew it was cholera, we had to work fast to save him, first we made a special drink to help him, we made the water safe, we filtered it with a cloth and boiled it for a minute, then we mixed half a teaspoon of salt . and six teaspoons of sugar in a liter of this safe water, tasted like tears, not too salty. I was worried that my father would die before my eyes, but soon he felt a little stronger. The nurse explained to me that not everyone who swallows cholera germs gets sick like that. my father, but now they can still spread the disease.

I needed to take a father to my village and teach them how to protect themselves from cholera. I saw a girl carrying water. I told her she could make the water safe by adding drops of bleach and waiting half way. One hour there was a man about to eat with dirty hands. I told him to always wash his hands with soap and clean water after using the bathroom. Only with clean hands could he warm himself safely. I saw villagers spreading cholera in a river.
