Heat stun Nuggets; Kyrie recruits LeBron; Shaq may not be top 10 | Brother From Another (FULL SHOW)

Apr 09, 2024
now let's talk about effort I mean this is the NBA Finals and we're talking about effort that's a big concern for me and tonight you know the starting lineup to start the game is 10-2. Miami starts the third quarter um and I just got you that we had guys out there that were just feeling sorry for themselves and not making shots or thinking they could just turn it on or off. Miami came here and worked harder than us because the game plan broke down. The staff broke down, um, as I mentioned after the game. one, the fact that they got 16 open threes was worrying that they didn't make them, so we were lucky in the first game tonight, they made them, so it was definitely a failure in communication, it was definitely a failure in our game plan and we had a hard time making stops and then we had a hard time making baskets on the other end, talking point, yeah, I mean it's the final, man, the energy has to be better, we can't come out like we did and you know that we have to do it. know better, thank you, you know, it's never good to be wrong or constantly wrong in our business.

y they'll be few and far between. um, now for the record, uh, during our epic watch party on Thursday night, right before the first game, fantastic pips on sixes and pips and sixes are still in play, but after the first game, I admit I like it which a lot of people thought might be

nuggets

and four, maybe five, um and I guess I'll start with Michael by saying I'm very happy to be wrong or at least I think I'm wrong.

I mean, they could still be

nuggets

in five, but I'm happy to be wrong because I love being wrong. predict a short series because when you're wrong it means we win to the extent that we will now have a competitive, compelling and potentially long series so I'm happy to be wrong in thinking Denver was much better than Miami the way I thought , I think a lot of others thought, uh, after the first game, let me tell you something, man, I'm mad and you have to forgive me in advance because I'm already in one because, well, that's the group of kids that came out here, uh, yesterday I spent a constant time. group of kids out all day, including mine, did you do it, um, okay, yeah, yeah, did you get any emails about that, any emails, any phone calls, not yet, other people's kids, yeah, yeah , not yet, not yet, not yet, not yet, they're coming, um, they're coming, it could be. they could be because when I hear we're talking about the finals, okay, not practice, not training camp, not the regular season, not even the first round, we're talking about the finals, and when I hear trigger words like effort exceeded and energy and second game. from the NBA Finals I just got a question for the Nuggets, who do you think you are?
heat stun nuggets kyrie recruits lebron shaq may not be top 10 brother from another full show
Who do you think you are? Let your coach because you know if he is if he said it, but you know how embarrassing it is for a coach in the finals because yesterday we had a championship game and yesterday they kicked our ass in the market. Hoops championship game. Okay, how many did you lose? But we know how many you lost. I don't even want to say it. I don't even want to say it. Let's just say it was over pretty much from the first touch and what bothered me more than anything was that we just didn't come to play, so even during the game when Michael Malone was saying our starters didn't come to play or we weren't ready to play, I thought, what are you saving it for?
heat stun nuggets kyrie recruits lebron shaq may not be top 10 brother from another full show
Jeff Green is right, it's the damn Finals so I'm worried about Denver, we knew Miami wasn't going to quietly disappear, we knew Miami wasn't going to go. roll like we knew mine was going to start making some of those aforementioned 16 open threes that Michael Malone followed from the first game, but I guess I never would have imagined that the team that had this Rocky Mountain-sized chip on its shoulder. for the perceived lack of respect for the number one, dare I disrespect the Heat and what's at stake for the lack of effort, yeah wow, that bothered me a lot, but I feel better knowing it's not just a AAU team, it's not just an AU team.
It's also the NBA, the NBA Finals, they got you an effort from the coach. Are you kidding? The only thing you can't bring you can't not not not bring to the table when you play the

heat

is sustained effort incredible incredible well you know what's so fun is I'll start here you're from a different era I mean you know when you were a kid you could curse at kids and when I was a kid you could curse at kids and maybe when you were a teenager and I was a teenager you know that was still happening but this is a time out crowd, well you know, you know, I got it, you know, I was raised in the church, everyone had license to spank my ass in the fellowship hall in the back, you know, listen, you get it. spanked all over the neighborhood remember remember those days that's right and they do it and they do it in the name of the Lord if the deacons and deaconesses didn't spank your ass your parents would say why you handled it wait, no Didn't you do anything to regard?
You saw it backed up, but you did it in the background. They get angry at them for not coming, for not doing corporal punishment, they throw out all that pettiness and then they throw out some scriptures on it. I'll do it right, oh, you know, you know, I wouldn't be because I love you, you know, you know what, because you know, because I love you like wow, okay, thanks first, it hurts, guys, yeah, no one does, I'm like Solo I hope it doesn't look bad on you because you did that right, like I got sued or something, yeah, and other people's kids, but I'm going to say this man look, don't feel bad about it, I don't feel bad about it. .
From above you said you were wrong, don't feel bad about it because outside of South Florida no one else says "I told you so" so only the South Florida Heat fans thought they had a chance, I guess all the time, and if They are honest. with themselves and we check out all their Twitter activity, they're probably just as guilty as the rest of us, so look, it's hard to miss who the Miami Heat were and who the Miami Heat are. It's not just about who they were in the regular season, it's about how We're watching, it's not just the fans, it's not just the commentators, it's the former coaches, it's the former players, we look at them and we see them so we believe that They are, but, as I said, in the people, they have eliminated us. of the prediction business because now I have no idea I said uh nuggets in five I don't know, I don't know who's going to win, maybe the Heat will win if I don't know and we just like every step of the way Think okay, now it's over, I was going oh, they beat Milwaukee, but okay, that's in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee thought he was in Milwaukee. Milwaukee fired its coach after losing to the Heat. Oh, the Knicks. Okay, the Knicks have home court, but yeah, you know. That's not real. It's going to be like this. I'm going to finish against the Celtics because the Celtics are way better than the

heat

and now we're talking in Boston. I hear

another

story. Hey, should they trade Jalen Brown? Joe Missoula got new people on his coaching staff because he was coached primarily by Eric. Like everyone thinks it's them and not the Miami Heat, it's always okay, it's what we could have done and that's why even Michael Malone is doing that good look, we weren't ready to play and we're doing this, yeah, there might be a reason why you were. doing that could be the other guys.
I'm just saying that last bit and I think Michael you called and by the way you called that in the Celtics series. I'm not going to lie, you called that in the Celtics series. You underestimate the Heat, I think. Everyone underestimates the heat if Michael Malone's greatest achievement as a coach must begin right now before game three. I don't know if he can pull it off, but I can give him some advice and I don't know if the guy took it. I know I'm coming back to you, you don't remember this, but maybe you remember I did your

show

on

another

network.
I did your

show

and, but you don't know about the interaction that I had, so I did your show in Bristol Connecticut back in the day and I was talking about Terrell Pryor, which made my heart hurt because he's a buckeye, he's family, you know, I don't like to say bad things about the Buckeyes, but he was trying to be the starting quarterback for the Raiders, yeah, like a 90-yard rusher for the Raiders I mean yeah, yeah. I was like, look, this isn't going to happen to him, it's not, you know Terrell Pryor, if you look at Terrelle Pryor as your quarterback, he struggled, so I'm really going to go in.
Terrell Pryor, someone contacted me on Twitter when I used to watch it anyway, someone contacted me on Twitter and said, hey, you know what, so he wouldn't really come to me like you're funny looking and looking at your little head. and all these things that I said, I said look man, look man, I understand what you're saying imagine it's Beyonce imagine it's Beyonce saying these things about the 12 don't worry about my looks worry about the content so same thing with the Miami Heat Miami Heat don't worry about 44 wins in a regular season and the undrafted and all that, you gotta get the narrative out of your head, pretend it's the Miami Heat with LeBron James D Wade, hey, but that's Didn't Eric speak, or they even got Eric Spooster with Pat Riley as an assistant coach and let's just play some timelines behind the beds, they shouldn't have much, we have a lot, you have to do, so you have to do it. play Monster Games, why do you have to play, but it should be, you have to fight, that's so funny because remember I went to Jalen Brown in the conference semifinal in the Conference Finals when he said, yeah, they're playing like crazy a bunch of guys that we should control or contain everything he said.
I wonder why you should be able to control Max Trece and Gabe Vincent, why you should be a Caleb Martin, why you should be able to do it if you have the right because they weren't drafted because they weren't the max players that really pissed me off and the same thing happened on Sunday. Oh, we beat that team the last time we played them. I thought I don't want to hear about what we did against that team the last time we played them. It doesn't matter today and sure enough, they kicked us off the damn field.
I know no one cares about my AAU team. I'm sorry, I'm still hurting from yesterday's embarrassment, but that reminds me, but it's like wait a minute. I hear this and say: Are you serious? It's Universal, this is when you're stepping into the ring. Remember I told you about my audience, my God, training and the first thing I was trained was to believe that anyone can whip your ass. I was trained like no, I don't care what they look like, I don't care what they are like, you don't judge a book by its cover, they're all world class fighters in the NBA Finals or you want to tell me. who are sitting here thinking after the Miami Heat because they're in eighth place because they didn't make their threes in a regular season for the most part because they don't have the hero Tyler, we'll see in game three.
You don't have the hero Tyler, you mean to tell me that you somehow think you're entitled to a title where they do that? You know what I'll tell you, so do the Miami Heat. You know who they are? They are americans. team, they're America's team because if any team collectively came out of the mud it's the Miami Heat, that team has a great team, they just have a team

full

of players, they have a team full of players, you know, yeah, they don't . We're in young Bloods, if you don't give a damn, we don't care. I mean, I'm telling you because, like those guys like Kevin Love, they say oh about the rotation or I'm back, I got you, you know, Duncan Robinson.
I've got you when you need me I'm here in the fourth quarter to spark this comeback Max True is 0 for 9 in the first game, catches fire to start the second game. It's amazing how these guys keep coming back and if you're Denver. Nuggets, it's inexcusable and unbelievable how you learned the hard way, so even if you were inclined to underestimate this ragtag group, why would you make the same mistake the Celtics, Knicks and Bucks made? Yes, no, no, it's because you don't. You haven't done your job as an NBA player, they worked all season, this isn't new to them, so I know some people that watched the NBA Finals, we have some hardcore fans that have been watching the entire season. season, as we've been seeing all season, but then you have a lot of casual fans who are just getting to know the Miami Heat and love the story.
Untrained eyes basically start, yeah, yeah, start from the bottom, now that we're here. it's all good we got it they love it they love it alright Jeff Green and Nicola Jokic and Jamal Murray and kcp all those guys have been in the league for a long time Max structe is not new to them you know Jimmy Butler is no They're new to them, none of them told Vincent, they're not new, so all they're doing and that's why I understand it's so difficult, all they're doing is deviating from their knowledge of the players in the game. NBA, take our profession, takeinexperienced eye who says something like that.
I think what Miami did tonight, you know, they said okay, let's do yoga to score, let's take other people, well, you know, maybe. Steve, myself and everyone else, Curtis are not trained, obviously, honestly, I think it was, I think it was SPO filed, basically I didn't want to confirm anything that would suggest that there is a way to limit the best player in the world because, to me, that's all. It's a strategy as old as basketball itself, whether it's Jordan, whether it's LeBron, let the superstar go, don't let his supporting cast beat you, it's like one guy, I can't beat you alone, that's just a base, it is so obvious even to the untrained. be careful because it's basic logic it's basic basketball logic right exactly look the nuggets are the most dangerous when it's raining everywhere just when he's scoring 25 or whatever, but dishing out 12 assists and Jamal Murray is getting his and Aaron Gordon is getting his and Michael Porter Jr is knocking down threes, that's when they are unstoppable.
What they did last night was what they wanted to do. what everyone said going into the series was just hey man, don't let everyone else go, make him score. That caught my attention when Eric Spolster didn't want to hit the Bear well, it's like, man, let's keep it that way, I don't want to. to make Jokic angry, he is the best player on the court. That's how I read it. I am with you. No. That's what everyone has been saying. That's what I wrote before the series because everyone has been writing. Hey, rocket science. Michael at the viewing party remembers the Spades on the Rock analogy in the washing machine.
I'm not going to waste my time doing it again, but it was like they had the great Joker. You're not going to beat the great Joker, but you can still have a. winning hand you can still get more right books if you cut those those other suits those diamonds those suits and those hearts Michael absolutely and I really want to get to this uh Kurt with you look at most we have five games left in the fifth season of the NBA the games are how long do they last and Michael and I talked about this before how long are we going to keep saying oh wow, can you believe Miami is in this position? or you know Miami, you know Denver fell asleep, but you know Miami isn't that good, whether your approach is facetious or not, how long will it be before we just say "okay", this is what we have what we have that's two potential champions Stokely, yes, I know, I'm with you Stokely, two potential champions, I think he, I think it's eight men and you, yeah, thank you.
I think the other thing we need is another graph on all undrafted players so big that it blocks the game for two minutes on the screen, that would be great. There's something about the idea that, man, we're selling. In short heats like these, you can say that they develop the players, you can do anything. Jimmy Butler is an All-Nba capable of being a top 10 player in the NBA when he wants to be during the playoffs, when he puts in the work, and they have the right combination around him to make this work. . Bam is an elite and versatile defender.
They have shooters. They have versatile guys everywhere. We are selling them short and they are still not the best team in this series. It's just that Dude Denver was arrogant. last night they played are you sure but are you sure Kurt are you sure they are not the best team? I do not know anymore. They don't have the best players. They made a better team. I really believe in that part. I mean, look at everything. They did wrong, they're still all like they're talking about the man, Jamal Murray, front tires, that thing or we're going to overtime.
I still think their depth when they turn it on when they focus on defense, man, Michael Malone was livid after last night's game absolutely furious at his team's effort and Jeff Green was even more direct like they knew they just didn't play as well. hard enough. Kurt. I did it. I found the best team, not like the most talented team, not like the team that maybe is the best. more explosive and Denver's offense, even with Joker Kevin 4 assists, was still pretty good last night. I found a better team, wait for it, the team that plays better, the teams that play harder, better for longer and in critical situations than the heat.
They're more than comfortable executing better, so to Michael Holley's point, we could be sitting here after a six- or seven-game series or a five-game series in Miami's favor and still talking about the Nuggets being the better team. when Miami could be the best. one holding the trophy at the end of this, which is why you're surprised there's even a conversation in Denver about the effort. You said it a second ago. The Nuggets were arrogant. How does that happen? Wait, but after everything you saw before this. Milwaukee, after watching Boston in particular, I was surprised that we saw that I think the only difference is that when things started to go bad for Boston, they fell apart, they completely and totally fell apart and were a disaster in the game.
Bad for Denver, they gave the ball to Jokic, he made some buckets, they fixed things in the fourth, they held on and won, they didn't win last night, but they made that push at the end, I don't think they will. They're going to fall apart I don't think they're going to fall apart like Boston did, but they can't, there's no margin for error with this team, like you said, man, you have to give credit to Miami's absolute relentlessness night in and night out and come out for it. the night and if you give them an inch, they're taking the mile, yeah, hey, before we let you go and add to your Sky miles or whatever your preferred carrier is when you leave Denver from Miami, real quick, this maker of LeBron Kyrie. okay, yeah, okay, okay, okay, okay, I just want to make sure because I'm like you know what, by the way, yeah, you covered it.
I'm in the, by the way, first out, you know, it's coordinated. when two guys leak it at once, like two guys you were introduced to, Breakers from opposite sides who are integrated exactly into each player's camps. I still think this was entirely because LeBron pressured the Lakers to bring in Kyrie Camp because the Lakers largely want to run. Back, bring back Austin Reeves, bring back Rui and I'll just say that under the new collective bargaining agreement there is no way, there is no way, thank you, that's the other part, all together, three maximum players, they just can't , three equalizers, someone has to take a pay cut, who? do that, that's my favorite story going around right now, hey, maybe LeBron plays this year, but what he really wants is a buyout so he can sign for the minimum somewhere.
I really, really, another quick, another quick, you got the best. 10 players, you have Shaq and in the top ten is Akeem overshak is KD over Shaq Steph Curry over Shaq anyone over Shack at number 10. I looked at that list first, I would have Duncan a little higher up, I would have Curry and Hakeem would have Shaq and Bird out Bird, yeah, yeah, look, yeah, I like birds, but I've got birds in the KD 11 to 15 range for me, you know, Wayne never comes out like usual, you know, Russell and Will and Too would never come out. it's like everyone got sensitive to never taking those two guys out, yeah, no, no, hey Kurt, hey Kurt, did I hear you say you got LeBron in one, you got LeBron James?
The altitude is not that high in Denver. All I know is that I'm sorry. To be corny, you could change the name of this organization to Miami Heart so that this team comes from losing the first play of the game as soon as it wins the second game and is now in the NBA Finals as the second eighth seed in the history of the NBA. Like history was made last night, so I feel like I can't separate myself from the players, but they're not congratulating each other because I really don't think Jalen Brown can be your second best player.
I think at best he's your third party. The best player needs a more dynamic ball handler, someone who can set them up and I don't think he has the ability to acquire that without giving up something. Well, where are the flame emojis? Put the flame emojis on the screen that Natalie brings. a fire I'm about to overreact I'm about to go to the casino and I'm going to pick up the nuggets in four I'm ready to overreact so give me get me off the ledge I wish I was taking off my ledge I'd like them to be added at least two more games into this conversation, but I feel like my spirit is saying no, that's not going to happen, so tell me, Nakai, that I'm wrong and that the heat is going to bring something out of this stranger. are you going to do saturday

brother

saturday hey on this I'm close I'm willing to travel to just hang up whatever you have what's going on are you going to give me another card like you did uh like you did last Friday oh we're I'm going to talk about that anyway How about the dinosaur about dynasty swapping that I finished?
I didn't do that. I interrupted the date night. No, no, this is much more important. This is the real life. This is not fantasy. This is the real life. I was wondering if you could fly to Hartford, for old times' sake, so you and I can appear. I have been to many soccer camps. I know you too. I've seen a lot of football camps in my Over the years, the Carmine and Frank Mangini Foundations Football Fundamentals Camp is easily the best I've ever attended and yes, we're both biased because you and I go back to Eric Mangini.
Former head coach Jetson Brown is a good friend of ours. I've known him since his Patriot days. I think the statute of limitations has expired. We could recognize it now. Alright, alright, um. I think maybe it was like 2004. I went and there were kids from Hartford as far as the eye could see. see being coached by professional and college high school coaches in the fundamentals of football, the best flag football tournament I've ever seen, an all-star cast of NFL coaches and counselors, and all Eric stops every year to the CFM. Foundation camp and this is the 20th and last year of our friend Eric Mangini's camp.
It's good to see you and I guess I'll start with man, what are your emotions about having done this for 20 years and this being the last year of a camp that has made a huge difference in the Hartford community in so many lives with so many young people in that area where they grew up well, first of all, you two are very impressive contributors to the fundamental camp of football, uh, applying your experience and your knowledge, uh, yeah. The children definitely benefit, they learned a lot from us. There is a large part of the camp here.
Part of it is football, which is great. We want them to go back to their teams and learn something like that, but a lot of that is. being surrounded by great mentors and great people and adults who want to make sure that they understand how important their success is to them and that's the role that a lot of people play for me, which I'm very proud of. In what we have done in the 20 camps, more than 10,000 children participated in it. All those who participate are volunteers. Nobody gets paid. Hotels do not pay for it. There is nothing like that.
They are all coaches or police officers who help. officials who help volunteers, everyone who helps does it for free and they do it because they want to make it an amazing day and I'm proud of that and I think we've had a lot of success stories. Lots of great days and hopefully we've affected some kids in a really positive way. Well, it's interesting that you say that because when Mike and I went down and coached a team, we still remember this, we had affordable travel right, okay? then we had, I tell you, we all were, we had another kid lined up one on one and we said, but before this, for Eric in the Huddle we said Okay, who wants, who wants the ball and of course the play fell. besides nobody really wanted the ball uh we're still we're still we're still very hurt by it but in all seriousness it was a great memory and Mike and I still talk about it, tell me someone who came to you when you least expected it and said something about camp that probably left you speechless.
I'm sure you have a lot of stories like that, but you know, give us an example of someone who was really affected by camp and really surprised by it. something that was great happened the other night so this takes a lot of work, it's a bit like organizing a wedding, there are so many moving parts with food, pitches, equipment, coaches and volunteers and it goes on and on. and it can get a little, uh oh, not overwhelming, but it can wear you down a little bit and then I get a call or a text like I got the other night, so Rob Ryan, who's in Las Vegas and he's a linebackers coach. , he's hanging out. with John Jenkins and they're talking about camp and John Jenkins graduated from Maloney, so it's a town very close to Harvard.
He had been going to camp for two years. I decided to try running while I was at camp. I ended up playing a little bit. in high school, which helped him get into a Juco, which eventually helped him transfer to Georgia, which eventually helped them get recruited by the team where Rob Ryan was defensive coordinator at the time and Rob I was in the camp where John was and now they were. We are together,This was 12 years later in Las Vegas and they texted me. He was just saying what a great experience they had and I talked to John today and John said, “You know, that was something he didn't really have.” opportunity to do the opposite and it changed things for him in a really impactful way, so when you hear things like that and when we talk to guys who have been in the league for 12 years and the combination of him and Rob together, it's just fantastic.
Great, yeah, I mean that's why I met Rob for the first time and even again, selfishly, it's not about who to support, but not in vain, Eric, I mean, now that you're a member of the media, you understand this as the connections that we made it because it showed how people saw you and what they thought of you because whether it was the Patriots, the Jets, the Ravens, the Browns, I mean, I mean, Marvin Lewis was there, Dante Skarnekia, uh, right, you mentioned Rob Ryan, Rex Ryan, like that. A lot of people like Mike Tannenbaum, like people around the league with shipping at that time, were at Berkeley High School, coming down to downtown Hartford and we made all kinds of connections with the people at that camp, I mean, it was an All- Star. cast of counselors pouring themselves into these kids, yeah, look what our coaching staff goes toe-to-toe with anyone we've ever had.
I think 12 NFL head coaches have worked on it. I don't know how many coordinators have worked on it throughout the year. I mean, there are four current NFL head coaches that have been to camp and Matt once flew. Brian Daval Bill Belichick. Who do I miss? Well, yes, look. it might have been him in the past, but you see Josh McDaniels and then yeah, yeah, he's been there, so there's four current head coaches that have run the camp and the list goes on in terms of guys, Romeo Cornell, Mike Patton and Marvin Lewis, Chris Palmer. and for four or five GMS plus tons of college coaches, NFL players and high school coaches, but everything they tell me is more about the teachers who go out and work to help provide or serve lunch or hand out t-shirts or prepare the seven on seven high school officials who volunteer their time to go out and do the games in the afternoon so that part for me is what is special it takes a village and accessories to Julia and your family for what they have done to support you and support the foundation behind the scenes.
If you want to support the foundation you are interested in, it is not too late to attend or sign up for the camp, go to the CFM Foundation. website and uh and they'll take care of the rest um while we have you here man uh at www.cfmdashfoundation.org if you're listening or watching and you want to know what this Foundation is about, it's about so much more than this camp, you guys make a great job giving back to the community while we have them man let's pick your brain on the football we've done over the years.
They mentioned Brian Day Bowl. They know what it's like to be hot. New York City will be the new kid at the dance uh in New York City uh Brian Day ball the Giants make the old buddy from New England make the playoffs in his first year a lot of expectations about taking the next step which is? your reading about the Giants in the direction your Friends Day ball makes them look, it's going to be a tough road and I went through that, I made the playoffs the first year on the Jets and the expectations weren't very high and as successful as him and us, you're still building your program, you're still putting your vision into action and there can be a lot of setbacks in year two and they really haven't added as many players as they have. paying some players who had a lot more money than the previous season and then when you look at their schedule, it's brutal, there are like three games in the first 11 days, there are seven out of 10 away from home, it's like they made someone in the programming department mad at their success um and then there's a part of that, Mike, that you have to teach your team how to deal with success, so we always talk about dealing with adversity and there's a lot of research and time spent. that, but people also have to learn to deal with success and Petty Alice, the famous boxing trainers, had successes like a martini, it relaxes you and all those guys in New York have to understand that what they did last year was great, but now they've done it. do it better because everyone is ready, they are not sneaking around anyone and it is different, it is a different formula that they have to execute this season.
I know you know about the success in New York, they had a great nickname for you, genius, they had a lot of nicknames, not all of them were nice, that's all, hey Eric, it's all of us, but I can tell you, personally, I wrote down that you're my personal trainer. Thanks again, everyone needs it. know Eric mangina used to coach me on Fridays during football season in coverage because I didn't know anything I still don't know, but you know what it was, I say wait a minute, there's a cover, five, there's a cup, what is it? that's what Eric taught me the dual protection system absolutely yes and going over actually yes all those things yes, but let me ask you about New York now that you were there and you trained with the Jets now once again Sky High expectations specifically with Aaron Rodgers situation, how would you read about it and how would you handle it if Robert Sala asked you for advice?
What would you tell them? Look, I lived it, I lived it with Brett Favre, I mean, I have an old quarterback from Green Bay. that would have been very successful, who came in with high expectations and I know what that feels like and the idea that this is not a one year situation for Robert, you know, that's not true, everything changed as soon as they got Aaron Rodgers and, for good reason, people in New York should be excited. They have a chance in every game. They have a chance to go to the playoffs. They have a chance.
The offense is just different. The line will be better, the running backs will be better, the defense will be better because they have the quarterback that they have and they also got him a lot earlier than when we got the bread, we got Brett during the preseason, they got him in the offseason. This season they have an offensive coordinator that worked with them, we had to adjust our offense to maximize Brett's potential so that everything lines up for him and there is no reason why they can't win the division, there is no reason why They shouldn't win the division.
They won't be able to go far in the playoffs, they should be able to do all those things and if they don't there will probably be a new head coach in New York next season. Hey, we got less than a minute back. of the Chiefs are in the White House today, at the time when the Patriots were regulars in the White House, there was a lot of tension around their former boss Bill Belichick, which should be read into that situation and they should be considered the worst AFC East team and Maybe this is a transition period in New England, yeah, it's amazing that they can be considered to be in a place where they are considered the worst team in that division and Mac Jones, I think Rodney Harrison said the NFL has a way of humbling you and Mac Jones, I think he's gone through a humbling process and hopefully through that humbling process he's growing and if he's grown, hey, I have the chance to beat anyone every week hey bro we love you we appreciate you congratulations on 20 years of awesome taxi bro thanks Eric thanks guys I appreciate you Mike I mentioned the Chiefs are at the White House today uh I guess that's not the last time about how many more times do you think it's my house The Chiefs go to the White House three three four times five titles wow, hey man, oh wow, how many dinosaurs, how many Dynasty titles are you going to win because you called me on date night talking of a third, fourth or fifth Patriots receiver, what's up, man?
