Elden Ring's new story trailer is hiding something

May 31, 2024
You already know, the Dancing Lion is actually made up of three bodies. And so the implication here is that these are the three long-cloaked bodies that were puppetee

ring

the Lion Dancer in the previous scene, before Messmer killed and impaled them. Now is a good time to notice that many of those who receive Messmer's purge have what look like omen horns. The creature on the stairs has them too, and its robes look a lot like the ones worn by these enemies in the previous

trailer

, who also have horns. As discussed in detail in previous videos. Those with horns of omen can be linked to the Primordial Crucible, and Crucible talismans make it clear that horns and other such aspects were once considered signifiers of the divine.

It seems that this was a culture and idea that Marika wanted to eradicate, since she probably had new ideas about what should be considered heavenly. This is probably why the almost genetic reappearance of the omen horns du

her time was seen as a bad omen, at least to her.  Perhaps these horns were an element of truth hidden beneath the surface, coming back to haunt her. Seen here is the only hornless we see on the receiving end of Messmer's Flame, a female figure who appears to be holding some sort of billowing sword. Is this a spiral weapon like so many others in Elden Ring, or perhaps it's some kind of banner?

More Interesting Facts About,

elden ring s new story trailer is hiding something...

Anyway, she's the latest in the long list of atrocities in this video for now. Next, let's talk about Miquella, who seems determined to bring the truth to life. "And so, the kind Miquella would abandon it all. Her golden flesh, her blinding strength, even her destiny. But we were not discouraged. We chose to follow each other. Will you walk with us?" A question I'm curious about the answer to in the DLC is how did Miquella find out about what happened at the beginning with Marika? My answer for now is that Miquella is quite similar to Marika in a couple of ways.

On the one hand, she is considered an empyrean with the wisdom and attractiveness of a god. She may be quite capable of thinking like one. Another similarity is that Miquella literally tried to grow her own Erdtree by watering it with her own blood since it was a sapling. What if this gave you an idea of how those trees were supposed to grow? And if we're right about this being the Crucible, perhaps Miquella realized how much blood she would have required for the Erdtree that already exists. So, of all of them, Miquella could probably figure it out.

In fact, some consider Miquella to be a genius and call him a prodigy, so her ability to decipher the truths of this universe makes sense. Faced with these truths, He abandoned everything, and these sacrifices clearly have a purpose.  We still don't understand that purpose. But let's take these scenes, for example. These marks left are in the shape of a large rune,

something

Miquella would have had. And surely these are Miquella's own great runes that he is leaving behind. Presumably for us. At first I thought you could rest in these places of grace, but in a recent promotional image it has been revealed that Grace still exists in the Land of Shadows.
The

trailer

above says that Miquella is waiting for her fiancé Lord. It's probably us, although it's possible that each of his followers believes it's them, since they're clearly following this sacred land that Miquella has also left behind. And here they are, a true Falcon Band, introduced with this uplifting wave of music in the trailer, Miquella's faithful forced to follow him.  Surely all of these big NPCs aren't going to die horrible, terrible deaths. Good? Good? We have already seen four of these NPCs in the previous trailer. There's the Knight, this warrior, this tank guy, and the masked guy.
Previously, the masked man was seen sleeping in what we suspected was a Santa Trina swamp. And since then, we've received confirmation from Miyazaki that Saint Trina will indeed appear in the DLC. And sure enough, here they are now in the trailer, Santa Trina presented in the context of things in which Miquella has abandoned "her golden flesh from him, her blinding strength and even the destiny from him."   Whereas Saint Trina is falling in this scene, raising her arm towards the light.   At first glance I assumed that this was the destiny that Miquella was leaving behind, abandoning his alter ego.
However, on second thought, we know that Miquella is abandoning her golden self, so perhaps it's more likely that Santa Trina is all that's left. But since they're coming up, I guess we'll get to the bottom of it. This is all a lot of speculation, I know. I feel like the closer we get to the truth, the more questions arise. But hopefully, at the very least, I think this was an opportunity to refresh our memory of some things we need to keep in mind when including DLC. But what happens after the DLC? Well, I found another game that I'm interested in playing when it releases in September.
It's called Enotria: The Last Song and it's a lot of fun. The demo for this game is available for free for everyone to try on Steam, Epic Games Store, and PS5 right now, and I highly recommend you give it a try and see if it's

something

you might like. Now the developers are the sponsors of this video, but I am very picky about the souls-likes I play. You probably haven't seen me advertise anything else on this channel, so if I talk about it, it's generally a good sign. First of all, the game is really pretty. Really beautiful.
It's nice to play a soul game that isn't too bleak, and the vibe is really perfect. It takes place in this really unique Mediterranean setting, and the environments are just lovely, to the point where I'm starting to feel quite relaxed playing it, even though the game is also hard on the souls. As for combat, it's solid. It has the dodge system from Bloodborne, it has the parry system from Sekiro, and even the jump from Elden Ring. And there's a great flow of combat where you're incentivized to dodge, but also get perfect blocks so you can boost your enemies' stagger meter and knock them off balance with a critical hit.  What I like most about combat, though, are these abilities on the bottom right.
You charge them up by delivering regular hits to enemies, and then when you've charged up these abilities enough, you can unleash them to solve tricky combat situations you find yourself in. For example, if I am ever attacked by an enemy. , I would use this ability to run away and then return with my secondary weapon.   And if I ever needed to kill an enemy from a distance, I could pull out a ghost crossbow or spear and take care of whatever enemy was harassing me from a distance. This flow between using regular attacks to charge up your powerful abilities and then going back to regular attacks and repeating that process feels really good.
In terms of difficulty, I think I found myself dying maybe once, at least between each checkpoint, which I found difficult but fair. Because I know that all my deaths were deserved, like when I ignored these soldiers who were dancing to loot an object, for example. Lots of other things are Enemy placement is clever, you're constantly finding new weapons and new abilities to try out, and the level design is a lot of fun too, it's got lots of these shiny little glyphs that turn into platforming challenges. or combat challenges, and these are hidden throughout the level. The developers also trust their product because they let me talk about anything, even reviews.
So I will say that on PC the only criticism I have so far is some minor frame rate issues, but I think that's pretty normal for a game coming out in September. This is just a demo, so there are still a few months left and I think it's a great sign that these developers are really chill and let people say whatever they want, even though they're sponsoring them. In conclusion, I think this is worth keeping an eye on for more information and to wishlist the game or pre-order it or whatever, click the link in the description.
Thanks to the developers for supporting this channel and thanks for watching. See you next time.
