When Wordle punishes you for doing well

Mar 16, 2024
Alright, I had a suggestion from someone that I thought sounded pretty interesting, so this is what I'm going to call punishment, but they said try Wordle, but you're punished for getting it right on each answer, you have to count the number of colors. letters in your guess, so in your example, if you guess go up and the eye is yellow, that's a penalty, essentially you got a yellow letter, uh, and so on the next guess you have to use that many false letters, so you have to do the I. third again because you know the I is not there or you have to repeat one of the Grays so I thought that was an interesting idea so somehow on this one you want to get a lot of Grays because it will discard letters and will give you a lot of information, but

well

, it can be a lot of information, we will give you some information, but you don't have to reuse it, because if you guess a word and let's say it's an anagram of the correct answer you get a lot so then you're really in problems um so I guess uh I don't know, yeah, I mean, can you break the rules

when

you know the answer because otherwise it seems like it might be possible? a I never like like, for example, if you have an anagram of the answer you'll never be able to guess the answer, so maybe you like a lot of the challenges, we'll just say that if I know the answer I can't potentially follow the rules, but I'm going to try to follow the rules as much as you can, so I don't know, we'll see how it goes, so let's start with the escalation, which is what they used in the example, why not?

Okay, so we got the interesting thing because in your example the eye was the one that was yellow in your example, but still, that's funny. Okay, so we have an eye, so we have to reuse it, oh, so the rules are not. Very long on this obviously, so we're making it up as we go, now we have to reuse a botched letter, does that mean I could reuse the i somewhere else if I wanted to? um, since we know the I is there, but I mean, there could be another eye, or I can reuse a CL mrb, so what would I normally do at this point?

More Interesting Facts About,

when wordle punishes you for doing well...

I would probably do something I like. It would probably increase, but I can't do that according to the rules, but I can do, what can I do now? You could argue that another nonsense would be to make a different letter where the I is, since we know it's an I, but I don't think that's exactly what we're going for here because then you could also use a letter that's in the word, so The idea is that you can't get any information from one of those letters, so,

well

, I guess this is a word maze, but since I have to have a fake letter and I already know the I is there, maybe I don't want to. use the I have to use a bad one, but I don't have to use the good ones, so let's use it to our advantage, we already know it's an I. we could do it, we could make mares, which is essentially my breeding, but with some of the letters changed and a failed letter, the m, let's go with that, ooh, okay, again we have a good letter and that's the other reason for not

doing

the eye. because it's a good automatic card that we're being punished for, so we get a good one, so we have to reuse a failed card again.

So what do we want to do now? What would you normally do at this point? Let's start with that. so we have IE interesting so the IED would be good um but uh oh what else is it going to be maybe or um my first thought was more like but there's no rooh it could be a thief, a thief is really good, I could guess it's a thief at this point I like that T and H are good letters f isn't terrible um I could have a d at the end but I don't really like that either so Thief is pretty good but I don't want to get it right I can't First of all, do Thief because I have to use a fake letter and I don't want to use the e or the I, so we could use the mouse, which again makes the fake letter.

We could also do South, um, it doesn't really matter. the first letter is a false ladder the other two vowels that we haven't checked yet plus why and the T and the H which I think are good letters um let's go with the mouth ooh so it could be Thief, actually it could be Thief couldn't it um, I don't know what else it would be uh because it's at the beginning, in which case I think it's Thief or I mean the only other option is for the t to be at the end, but then you'd have to have the H, yeah, it doesn't work, It has to be Thief, so now we want to try to follow the rules.
According to the rules, we can't guess the Thief, right? We have to use two dead letters here, but what can I do because there are a lot of guesses I can make. I only have to use one bad letter, that doesn't mean I have to reuse T and H in those places because the problem was that we are using T and H is I. then I have to use two more bad letters, which I can to do is to make a word only using five gray letters. Well, actually I only have to use two of the gray letters, but I want to get five gray ones so I can then do the answer. in the next one let's do something small that uses all the Duds it gives us five grays so now we can do whatever we want because we're not being punished for our last guess and we can do Thief hey there we go which is funny because a thief is someone who could be punished correctly, so it works perfect, such an interesting idea it's a lot of fun.
I hadn't really thought about what happened, so if you got an anagram of the word, I was thinking, well, you. I'll have to reuse the yellow ones, but that's not true. You either reuse a yellow in the same place or you use a grey, so I guess if you guessed an anagram of the word on your first guess you would be in trouble because you wouldn't have the grays to guess correctly, so although one could argue, we have all five letters, any other letters that we know aren't in the word, so maybe there's an argument that that works, but in any case this works too, so let me know if you can.
I've ever climbed a mountain to see thieves, some mayors only to find out that they all have small mouths and I guess it's not worth stealing. Anyway I don't know, let me know what you think of this idea and how you got on with today's Wordle and be sure to subscribe for more puzzles
