Canik METE MC9 vs The Micro Compact Pistol World

Apr 17, 2024
At this point as I'm sure you all know Canik just released the mc9 with the Canik mc9 it shakes up the market a bit and we want to review and compare some of the other

pistol

s we currently have with the Canik mc9 this will be the standard Hellcat , a standard p365 and a Taurus gx4 with all of these, honestly, between them all. I think they are excellent

pistol

s. I've shot them all. I've carried the 365 is an ankle gun for quite some time. For some time I carried a concealed pistol. I probably have about 2000 or more rounds in that gun, so I'm very familiar with it.
canik mete mc9 vs the micro compact pistol world
The Hellcat also has tons of bullets. In fact, I would say the newest ones are obviously the Canik mc9. I had the fewest rounds, but that's only because it's also the newest, but what I can tell you is that with all of these guns since the beginning, there's no doubt in my mind that the Canik mc9 has the best trigger pull. Of all of these and what I'm going to go over is why that's the case with them with the Canon mc9, you have to put up a wall and a brake, it doesn't drag okay, second best in my opinion is you have the Hellcat , the Hellcat. has taken a wall, which is, if you don't sit with the Glock pistols, it's very similar to those, so you hit them, let's say a wall, there's a little bit of creep in the wall and then it breaks, it doesn't really there is a lot of flow to be.

More Interesting Facts About,

canik mete mc9 vs the micro compact pistol world...

Honestly it's minimal, in fact the pull weight on this I would say is just a little bit heavier than what you get on the Canik mc9 and then we have the Taurus, the Taurus gx4 trigger takes up a defined wall with a bit of sand . a little bit of sand and then it breaks, but again it still doesn't have any mush, it just has a little bit of sand and then it breaks. Ultimately it's a pretty clean break, especially considering the price range they come in and So in my opinion the worst trigger is the one you find on your standard p365 with this trigger if you're not familiar with Sig triggers on Overall, while they are never heavy, they are generally like squishing a sponge, that's basically the best.
canik mete mc9 vs the micro compact pistol world
I can tell you what Sig triggers are like, so you get a little sponge and then there's no defined wall. I mean, like I said, I have the most rounds through the 365 piece, however, I have all the rounds I've ever fired. I've shot the XL's flat triggers and all of those are a little better, but again we're comparing the base models here for the most part, so this one again is mush mush mush mush and there's no defined wall to reset it to. not bad, you probably know it's comparable to the rest of them, ultimately the reboot is about the same, none of them have overly long reboots, they're all pretty short, however do you know if you're not running your reboot or what?
canik mete mc9 vs the micro compact pistol world
You know restarting in flight and all that kind of stuff, restarting really isn't that important in my opinion, but after that, compared to all of these, the Canik mc9 is definitely a bit longer than the rest? In fact, what I can show you is that actually the size of this gun overall differs from what I've noticed is that all of these guns have the same barrel length. These are possibly the three most popular on the market, so your Hellcat and your 365. is that when you line up with, for example, the snout, the front of the snout with the rear, your cameras and all that has the same length, but in your mechanics it's actually a little longer and I think that's really what it has.
To get to this it's actually the design features and how the trigger actually works on the mc9, it needs that extra space for it to really happen so you get a slightly longer slide on this, however the length of the slippage is what we're talking about here in general. when you take, let's say, a little beavertail here that you have on your Hellcat, you're talking about a grip length that's odd an eighth of an inch after you, let's say, add in with that beavertail that you have on the back of the Hellcat, 365. Let's see, we're talking, there's no pronounced Beaver.
I'll only give you about a quarter of an inch to say I don't know probably honestly yeah I would say a quarter of an inch because of how it leans in the back and then your Taurus gx4 realigns the muzzle. It's almost identical to what I'm getting or what I'm seeing with the 365. So the mechanics are a little bit longer in that sense overall, let's say height with The overall height of these guns with these guns is almost identical to all of them In fact I would say the Sig the Canik and the Hellcat are the closest and then when you line up your gx4 with these what I can say is that it is the shortest so the gx4 is the shortest of all the pistols, the Canik the Hellcat and the 365 are relatively the same length, and in fact, because the grip angle on a 365 is a little more vertical, similar to what you see on the 1911 versus the Hellcat and the Canik it's actually a little bit longer here on the front and then once you pick it up, let's say it's a standard 10-round magazine that doesn't have this pinky extension there, it doesn't really add anything.
Cigars usually come with a 10 round that has a small pinky extension and with that pinky extension which is 10 rounds in the standard 365 and then we take the Canik with a 12 round magazine with a pinky extension with my hands Let's say big, if you can see it well enough, that's what you want. I'll see my pinky is on the handle. Okay, the Sig pinky is on the grip as high as I can go. The overall length of the pistol grip compares how the pistol sits in my hand. You'll get 12 rounds versus 10 rounds on the Sig. So the Hellcat, what we have here is my pinky actually falls off the grip completely without a pinky extension.
If you took the gun and you had the 13-round magazine or even the 11-round magazine that they make, it has a pinky extension, the pinky fits in there. So with all of these with their pinky extension type charger, your pinky will fit in there. Tauruses have a pinky extender that they don't usually ship with them, but what you can see is my pinky hangs out there with this one, so you. You can get the Piggy Extender, so what you'll see with all of these guns, the overall blank grip with them is very, very negligible, to sit here and say any of these guns are longer or much larger, especially when you're getting tucking in your pants and You carry this gun for an extended period of time and the size difference is very different so what I'm trying to do is obviously the KX is the newest one so it's probably the least familiar to everyone .
This will be a clone of Glock 19. They are Shadow Systems mr920, these pistols are let's say

compact

in size, that's what the g19 or mr920 really is, if you take them compare the two so I get 15 rounds capacity on this one and you get 12 here on the standard. you can add the 15 if you want, but when you compare the Canik mc9 to a

compact

pistol there is a very significant size difference - it is much smaller and that is possibly what I would say is the biggest change you are seeing. the mc9 if we are going to split hairs, the Canik mc9 is very, very, very, very, let's say a little bigger than the rest of the competitors on the market, however, the size difference between them is extremely insignificant, no It's the size difference that you'll see in a compact or subcompact, let's say a full size tight frame pistol compared to the

micro

compact that you get with the mc9, so again, with all these shooters, Canon gets the best, Hellcat , the second best, Taurus has the third best and the Sig 365 has the worst out of all of these here, let's also talk about the magazine launch, the magazine launch in Mechanic, in my opinion, is number one, it is the easiest to reach.
I have no problem pressing that button after that. one, I think the Taurus is my next, let's say positive, that I like to press, it's easy to get, I have no problems with the magazines that come out, then you have the Hellcat, the hellcat is not bad, the magazines come out quite well, I have I adjust my grip a little to get it and I remind you that I have big hands. I wear plus size gloves, sometimes I even size them up to xl. Loader 365 is released again. I have the most bullets for this gun. I know how to use my gun.
On this gun, it has the worst magazine button of all, in fact, I have to completely release my grip to be able to press that button and release the magazine, so it's probably a bummer, in my opinion, if you're doing reloads, especially where be. the Sig starts to say, let's say, in quotes, shine. In my opinion, it has some of the best views of all because it automatically comes with night views. The night views are an amazing feature, especially for people who don't want to put a red on. dot on your pistol after the next best set of sights, I would say what you have here on the Hellcat you have a U-notch rear end and a rev fiber optic front end.
They have tons of different models. They have some that have night sights on them. the front that works very well besides the fiber optic mechanics is the second best, you know it feels good, the sights are good, it's just a standard, you know, a white dot on the front, darkened on the rear and then you have the standard, let's say in quotes, cheap steel. Sights that are very similar to the ones you see on your Glock pistols are the ones you find on the Taurus, so the Taurus falls behind in some features; However, it is also a gun that is usually seen in the store for around 300, so it is a very cheap gun. go out and buy a price comparison with all of these, usually the Hellcat and a 365 or neck and neck when it comes to costs that are usually around five to five fifty depending on what sales are in the market at that time it will arrive the Canik. at 4 39.
Street price, I guess, we'll be closer to four, if not under 400, and again, tourists I usually see them for around 300, so the Taurus is a good deal if you think about it compared. The bottom line is that if you don't have a lot of money, the Taurus isn't a bad option if you want to spend a few more dollars and get a gun that, in my opinion, really punches above its weight class when it comes to cost feature set. . It's the mc9 mechanic and we're going to go out to the range, we're going to shoot these guns and when I shoot these guns, I'm going to analyze how they recoil.
I'll check how they feel when they back off. I'll check how they fire. You know, let's say feel under fire. In addition to that, I'm also going to cover the slide stop slide levers on all of them and what I can tell you before we get out to the range, we actually shoot them with the slide stop or slide. The releases of these is that the Canik has the easiest to operate and also the only gun of all of these as an ambidextrous slide trigger or a slide lever after that, I think the next easiest, I would say, will be the 365. as it is pronounce, it is easy to grasp.
I've never had a problem hitting, I think it's very easy to get and then after that the Taurus gx4 has the next easiest to get and then you finally get to the Hellcat and with everyone. These guns something to keep in mind is that when you use the slide stop or the slide release lever on all of these guns, none of them are going to be what you get on a compact gun or let's say even a subcompact sized gun, none of them. they. It would be just as easy compared to this, however the Canik is definitely the closest you can get to a full size compact or subcompact pistol when it comes to having a good, easy to use, slower slide release. , so let's get out of range.
Race through these guns in the shooting range and watch each of them stack up against each other in the shooting range. Now let's review each of these guns. I'm going to put two chargers for each of them and we'll stop halfway between us. We'll talk about them and how they really feel about controllability. First we will talk about Canik mc9 abroad, this will be the Sig p365. 10 rounds here, this could be the Taurus gx4, this will be the Springfield Hellcat with the 13 round magazine on the outside, okay, halfway through having shot the Hellcat last, obviously, now what I can tell you is the Overall setback, the Hellcat is in the lowest place. the hand, I think and as far as recoil, I would say it's probably the most forgiving, uh, you know, obviously, like I said, the front fire sight is nice when you try to pull it up with the trigger, the hands-free Canik trigger feels better .
Of all of them, when you shoot at low speed, the 365 trigger, spongy as it is, isn't as noticeable, and even if you try to shoot at speed, as with these, they are all somewhat fast

micro

compacts, that is. something you can consider though like I said the Hellcat of them all probably feels less agile after that one I would say bite wise I think the mechanical mc9 probably comes in second there and then you have the Sig and then the Taurus. The most I can tell you is that with the Sig the Sig is that the back of the Palm hasrecoil with the 10 round magazine here, if you put a 12 or something here it would be a little better, but not much because I've shot it enough.
Is it the Sig? You get a little bit of bite here on the bottom half of the grip, say, and also the magazine, and you can really feel it under the recoil, according to other reviewers. when they were shooting mc9 they talked a little about it. I personally don't realize that, whether that's how I hold a gun or whatever shooting might be, I don't do it. I can't say I feel that low recoil and I think it's because it recoils enough compared to the Sig, it gets into the crease of my palm and I can feel it biting there and it doesn't feel right.
However, we're talking about Micro Compact pistols. concealed sized ones you're not going to be shooting thousands of rounds overall and even if you miss the scope you're probably going to shoot a couple hundred rounds on a scope strip and they'll shoot so let's go over them again so you can see how they stack up. actually produces the recoil impulse while I shoot these pistols. If you are going to carry one of these, you need to carry insurance if you want to see amazing transportation insurance. be entitled to withstand the safety use code HFS 10 save 10 on your purchase and check out the links in the description below let's go over these again check the recoil impulse while shooting them keep in mind the proper grip on any pistol.
To really help mitigate recoil, the Micro Compact expects a bit of snap, especially when you're on the smaller sized grip frames with these, let's start with the 365, this time this will be the Taurus gx4, yes the Taurus even in compared to the 365. I noticed that I can actually feel it and say it feels like it's kicking back in my hand, I guess even like the 365, although it bites a little on the bottom of my heel, I don't notice it as much Like Pushing back on my hand and wanting to swing so much, I like that they have like little index dots on your gx4.
I can feel that and today it's about 25 degrees so it's a little cold so I put on some gloves, however the gun goes off. and everything that feels right on the gx4, especially since we're talking about pistol, is 300, the next one on the Hellcat, so I didn't relock the last one, which is my thumb going up the slide, release the pistol again, the Hellcat so far out of these. three definitely feels more manageable recoil-wise, in fact what I found myself doing throughout the entire recoil cycle was almost like I was overcompensating, which is what you'll get sometimes if you buy a gun that's a little different. to the rest and these are all different at the end of the day, however, as far as recoil, what I noticed was a roll of the muzzle, it actually rocks back in the hand and stuff like that, the Hellcat so far is the least quantity, so last, the new Canik mc9.
I will also say that wearing the gloves, we're getting cold today, the Hellcat pistol, the serrations on the actual slide, I think it's probably the easiest of all to put this foreign slide on. It falls in about a second and then I would say in a second. As for overall recoil, the gun shoots very well, the trigger pull again. I really can't emphasize it enough. This trigger on this gun really lends itself to wanting to go fast. In fact, I probably need to slow down to make sure I get it. My shots I will openly admit, but what I will tell you is that when I try to execute this trigger, it is definitely faster than the others and it is easier to be faster.
The next thing I want to cover is precision work. I'm holding a swinging target hostage. set up now I'm going to start with the Taurus, but what I also want to cover is that a lot of times you'll notice people come here and they shoot their guns and they say, oh, it's very accurate, well at the end of the day with modern technology and how guns are designed, the likelihood of us saying that even the most experienced shooter shoots his gun or is more accurate than that gun's capability is very unlikely. I could put a gun in a sandbag, shoot it, you know. let's say group it and that way you could do it, ultimately it's the only way to get enough air out of the shooter and even then you still have the trigger there, so what I also like to do for myself is shoot targets like a hostage. swinger and see how difficult or easy it is to make accurate shots like that and be ultimately accurate under you know a restriction per se, so let's start with the Taurus gx4, we are set up here about 10

mete

rs from the hostage target, it's a good distance, the hottest target itself is about a four-inch circular shooting mechanics.
Next, I mean, I can tell you right now that the Canik will certainly take the brakes off the Taurus when you try to do some precision work on a Springfield Hellcat hostage head swinger. the Hellcat, I mean, really between these two, I'll tell you right now, the Canik mc9 and the Springfield Hellcat shooting them neck and neck. I will say that with a trigger pull, the KX is definitely better, but next up is the Hellcat, which is a very good shooting gun. It's going to be the Sig p365. I've shot these quite a bit, they're generally pretty accurate guns and pretty easy to shoot for the most part, yeah right off the bat I mean we're talking kanik mc9 it's the easiest to make the precision shots with the Hellcat, which is a very close second, the Sig is third, the trigger is so unpredictable at the end of the day because there is no distinctive wall there, so when you get all the way to the end your wall, yeah, as much as you want to sit there and say the shot should surprise you when you do precision shots, say a hostage to the head, a headshot, a swinging target, you need to know when it's going to explode.
I need to know that. When you hit that wall, the next pressure you put on it will break on the Sig no matter how hard you shoot it, it's kind of a guessing game, frankly, and then the Taurus was definitely the hardest of all and the trigger. although I think it's a little better than the sigs, it was definitely the hardest thing I found to get those accurate shots, either because the sights are frankly a little bad or in general because the trigger is a little heavy compared to the rest. Really with all of these pistols what I can tell you is that honestly they are all good pistols, in my opinion the Taurus is probably the least nice of them all, they are probably my last choice, after that for me personally the Sig is It's going to be my third choice after that, the Hellcat and the Canik.
It's really a choice between the Hellcat and the new mc9. They are both excellent guns, they both shoot very well, you get a little better trigger pull with the barrel. If you get an ambidextrous slide trigger or a slide stop, it has some features that I like a little more, so I think I'm going to give the Canik mc9 the edge for the number one spot among all of these pistols. I will tell you again that they are all excellent pistols. My opinion is somewhat subjective; However, when I review guns I try to be objectionable, so you guys like this review.
